PC PowerPlayAug 27, 2016It's a masterpiece, guaranteed to have players flocking to forums to discuss the ending and try to unravel with it all means. [Issue#254, p.62]

Jul 7, 2016You need to be in the right mood to fully enjoy something as peculiar as Inside. Take a deep breath, enjoy the silence, embrace the suspension of disbelief, and you'll be in for one of the finest treats of 2016.
-
Aug 17, 2016Inside is a truly unique platformer that is a better and more mature brother of famous Limbo (that came from the same studio). Everything you see on the screen is extremely well thought out and the way that one anonymous character in the background conveys tons of emotions with a simple move is astounding. Only the best could have achieved such a thing and I'm sure Inside will be remembered for years.
-
Aug 9, 2016Just like its predecessor, Inside is a puzzle in itself. Mysterious, intriguing, dark yet beautiful, it's one of the most unique platformers around and a journey well worth taking.
-
Pelit (Finland)Oct 12, 2016An immensely polished, gripping platformer experience. Aesthetically, Inside is pretty much ahead of anything done in the gaming space right now. That said, the actual gameplay (pushing blocks, scripted chase sequences) is somewhat lacking in substance. [Sept 2016]
-
Game World Navigator MagazineAug 23, 2016Although Inside’s aesthetics are great, its storytelling methods aren’t reprehensible. There’s no narration or dialogues; all information is conveyed through environment and gestures of characters, so unless you’re willing to go on wild interpretation sprees, Inside’s story won’t make any sense. But even if you do, it will still leave a lot of unanswered questions. [Issue#211, p.62]
-
Aug 2, 2016But Inside can’t resist padding its story with what passes for gameplay. Who knows whether it’s because Playdead didn’t have the confidence in their story or because videogamers need to push crates onto pressure plates in order to call something a videogame. Whatever the case, Inside is a provocatively outside-the-box story in a disappointingly inside the box game.
