    It takes a lot to reinvent a 30-plus-year-old franchise while keeping step with tradition, and Capcom has succeeded admirably. Hopefully the still-to-come monetisation schemes are reasonable (details hadn’t been fully announced at the time of writing) and the netcode remains smooth, because the king of fighting games, Street Fighter II Turbo, is on notice: here comes a new challenger.

    Street Fighter 6 is the culmination of the experience CAPCOM introduced to the video gaming world back in 1987. With extremely solid gameplay mechanics, a wealth of excellent single-player content that teaches the basics in an extremely fun way, flawless online experience, amazing character design and attention to accessibility, Street Fighter 6 is in a league of its own, and one of the best fighting games in decades.

    This game never ceases to amaze when it comes to accessibility, variety and content. Everything in this game seems to have gone through a careful and passionate process during its making. SF6 not only inspires other popular fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Tekken, but it also has the capability of showing other non-fighting games how cool and big the fighting genre can be. SF6 is a well realized and thoughtful package that satisfies its own fans and also brings so many new players to the genre.

    From artistic and diverse set of characters that are so fun to play, a World Tour single player mode that is perhaps the best single player mode created in a fighting game ever while being goofy at the same time, to a seamless well featured arcady looking online lobby, in addition to cheesy bonus modes; SF6 redefines the iconic series and the fighting genre as a whole    … Expand
