Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is an excellent JRPG. Surprisingly, gameplay is extremely close to previous installments in the franchise and it's quite baffling Camelot did not dare to do more with this third episode. Despite this flaw in originality, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is a well done and refined lengthy adventure but it does not win over Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Sky as the DS game of the year.

Meg's Monster is a narrative adventure and should not be mistaken for a role-playing game. The battles are the least interesting part: although useful on a narrative level, the fights always repeat identical to each other and the original idea, namely to control a very powerful monster, is immediately lost. Stylish, fun and very rich in content. The combat system works well enough, and the special abilities allow us to add some variety to our offensive. Of course, it is interesting to note how you start with an excellent title (Crysis), moving on to a decent one and nothing more (Crysis 2) to get to a really great one (Crysis 3), but honestly we do not recommend you to sacrifice any of the three (they are can also be purchased individually) in case you decide to take the trilogy, because in any case they form a unique story, which is worth living in full, once you are inside. It must also be said that the experience as a whole remains identical to that of the originals, so those who have already lived it will not find great incentives to do it again, apart from the graphic ones.
