Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is exactly what a fan would want from a Guardians of the Galaxy tie-in. Ultimate Edition is just like the old gen version, a good fighting game with a deep combat system, and very rich in terms of contents, thanks to all DLCs stuck in the disc. Unfortunately the visuals, with just the 1080p rendering, is not so astonishing as it should be.

Recommending Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is not easy since it will appeal a niche inside a niche: it's a very Japanese RPG for fans who absolutely love Japan, Japanese culture and Japanese stereotypes. It looks and plays much more like Persona than Fire Emblem, and that's for the best: battles are fun and help alleviate the sloppy characters and predictable twists.

Stronghold: Definitive Edition is exactly what it promises to be: an updated version of the same game that in 2001 became the flagship of an entire subgenre. The experience is more or less the same, with the new campaign extending the gameplay time a bit and native support for mods that opens up countless future scenarios. That said, it's an honest operation, sold at a very low price that succeeds in what it sets out to do. A package for nostalgics who want to continue playing the old Stronghold but in a more modern package.

Wanderstop is a synaesthetic video game: all you have to do is prepare a cinnamon-scented tea to remember the evenings spent on the sofa, under the covers, sipping a hot drink with the person you love. It is a place of the soul, romantic and melancholic, where you can take a deep breath to escape the eternal performance of life. It is for Alta, our protagonist, and it is for Davey Wreden, the brilliant creator of The Stanley Parable, who this time directs a video game about the importance of finding a space for ourselves, just as we are, stripped of all expectations.

In the last few months, Neuroshima Hex for iPhone and iPad is greately improved since its initial release. Now the game combines a great aesthetic quality with a polished and intuitive interface. The difficulty curve has been softened, even if the game is still very complex, but now it should really deserve a deeper and more satisfying multiplayer mode, online and offline. With some kind of multiplayer option, Neuroshima Hex can certainly compete with other board games on the App Store like TheCodingMonkey's Carcassonne.

We really loved Old Skies. In our opinion, it's Gilbert's best work narratively — a story that captivates from beginning to end, ultimately becoming a truly intense emotional experience. The puzzles, while not particularly difficult, are very well designed and consistent with the setting. It’s a pity about some of the animations, which aren’t exactly exceptional, likely due to the change in visual style compared to the studio’s previous games. Nothing dramatic, but noticeable nonetheless. Other than that, we recommend it without hesitation.

Avowed is a marvelous role-playing game built on a wide range of choices and deeply impactful consequences, written with great care and surprising complexity. It leans towards an old-school style while being firmly rooted in a setting that is both captivating and richly detailed, featuring uniquely distinctive fantasy elements and, above all, an exceptional level design. Obsidian Entertainment's talent shines through in all the studio’s classic strengths, yet at the same time, it clashes with evident rough edges such as an inconsistent progression system, monotonous combat, various bugs, and a lack of attention to detail—ultimately weakening an adventure that could have stood among the finest in recent years. This is an experience that any fan of the genre should dive into without hesitation, yet it remains a rough diamond—one that, in our opinion, Xbox as a publisher should have supported with more resources and greater attention.
