    I found the game to be well worth the $20 price tag given its polished story with voice acting and extreme replay value but you don't have to take my word for it; you can find a free demo on the Steam page and give it a go for yourself. You won't be sorry.

    Dandy Ace is a sensational roguelike that can contend with the very best the genre has to offer. Although gameplay can get a little repetitive, its colorful visuals and well-thought-out combat mechanics more than make up for that. This is a challenging yet fun game that is well worth your time.

    Dandy Ace delivers as a challenging roguelike, with difficult enemies and bosses galore. The use of cards allows players the freedom to fine-tune their loadout to be the most efficient for their respective playstyle. Add on top of that the visually pleasing art style and use of color, and you’ve got yourself one magical roguelike.

    Dandy Ace tries the way followed by titles like Hades and Dead Cells looking for a humbler path and lighter colors. Although poor in terms of narration, Mad Mimic's game knows how to be appreciated for its peculiar gameplay.

    I'm loving dandy ace. It's a really good rogue-like and it reminds me of hades a lot.

    I have no complaints here. The game is just that darn good. Buy it and also support Balan Wonderworld? Why? So the creator of BalanI have no complaints here. The game is just that darn good. Buy it and also support Balan Wonderworld? Why? So the creator of Balan Wonderworld and Dandy Ace can collaborate in some form or fashion. I would love to see Balan meet Dandy Ace one day. I really hope to see some fan art/ fan comics of these two characters one day. With a couple more patches to fix gameplay bugs/glitches pertaining to combat and etc., the game will be an even greater hit. Too bad that this game will "overshadowed" by other generic/run of the mill AAA games or another battle royale. Please support this game and give your thanks to the team behind it!… Expand

    This game has been a fun experience it is loaded with cheesy puns and really leans into the magician theme. I had to adjust a little from other Roguelikes for the way skills functioned but once I found a rhythm for this game it became a lot of fun.

    Really curious to see if things are going to be added to the game I did find the initial victory over the last boss a little lackluster but I have to make sure if bosses gain skills with difficulty increase.    … Expand

Story is basically a little back and forth between narator and player aka Dandy Ace, no backstory other than the intro before the game even starts. Visuals are actually what got me to try the game in the first place, but them too after a while become rather repetative. It's a decent game all in all, but nowhere near Hades.… Expand
