    We've enjoyed the time we've spent with this 'complete edition' of Skulls of Shogun. It's fun, and ideal if you want to become initiated in strategy games.

    This is a solid turn-based strategy game, with a nice single player campaign, some interesting extras and a well implemented multiplayer mode.

    At first it’s a bit off-putting realizing that your tried and true strat doesn’t work 100% of the time. It’s also the sign of a solid tactical game that won’t grow stale too soon.

    A bright, funny game to be played here which tells a good is brimming with charm and revives a genre which is slowly dying out, the turn based genre needs a life line - this is most certainly it.

    Simple but with enough depth, it's a casual strategy game but it's a really good one.

    I only played the single player campaign and I enjoyed it a lot, I specially loved the monks and their spells, and also the story is quite funny, it cracked me up a couple of times. I really recommend the volcano levels, which are unlocked after the main campaign. The AI is a bit bad sometimes and I also miss some difficulty system to make it a bit more challenging, although the golden skull challenges are okay.

    Obviously it cannot compare to the likes of xcom or other very deep strategy games, it's a much more casual game, but if you value it for what it is, it's a gem in its own way.    … Expand
