Mario Party the Top 100 is a missed opportunity. The idea of bringing together the best of the series in a game was good but it has been poorly executed with lack of motivation to return to play. The almost complete absence of the classic board game fun is an incomprehensible decision.

Call of Duty: WWII offers an interesting but short single player campaign and a generic multiplayer component that implements a new and entertaining asymmetric objective-based mode called War. Unfortunately, the game suffers in key areas and that keeps it from being great; the audio is bland, the graphics are pretty common, and the gameplay is nothing that we haven’t seen a thousand times already. Outside of the War modality, multiplayer wears thin quickly and there is not much reason to keep you playing for long.

The wait was worth it. Final Fantasy XV is one of the best games in the series since the PS2 era. Its graphical quality is impeccable, character design is also terrific. The battle system, despite some camera issues, is fun and enjoyable. Thanks to Yoko Shimomura, the music feels great, dramatic and fun. The game has a lot of content and very high standards when it comes to animations. FFXV may have some glitches here and there, but that does not affect the overall experience. Final Fantasy XV is a game that veteran and new fans will enjoy from beginning to end.

Pokémon Sun and Moon brings a lot of changes to the main series. It’s easier to play and gives new users yet another chance to be part of a 20 year old franchise. Having said that, the story is dull ─Team Skull makes the anime Rocket Team look like a superior enemy─. Online multiplayer, on the other hand, is well organized but the local variant feels too simplistic. This is a typical case of "one step forward and two steps back." Some of adjustments are a success but the game also has many imperfections the developers should learn from in order to make a better Pokémon game.

Although Planet Coaster belongs to a niche genre, it is a well-crafted product that we hope will keep being polished. Despite imperfections that certainly affect the experience, its achievements and potential are worthy of admiration and it is a game worth playing.

Despite some undeniable improvements in terms of art direction and the underlying soul of the concept, Watch_Dogs 2 is still a sloppy product. With the persistence of AI oddities, dull graphics and physics, stereotypical plot and character design, conspicuous asset recycling, serious online problems and so on, Watch_Dogs 2's lack of polish stops it from achieving excellence once again.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is yet another licensed anime game that does not live up to its expectations. While the presentation is a success, lousy storytelling, a broken battle system and dull dialogues ruin the overall experience. The game has no rhythm or anything that makes it worthy of your attention.

Dishonored 2 is an improvement over the original game in every sense of the word. Its real value lies in the fact that it offers unique and rewarding game experiences for any type of player, whether you like to murder everyone on sight or prefer a more… ghostly approach.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is not the abomination haters would want it to be but it is clear that the franchise is going through an identity crisis. Under its bizarre sci-fi concept, the campaign still has some of the core elements you would expect from the single player mode, but the overly convoluted structure of the multiplayer, chaotic rhythm, the flashy presentation of Zombies in Spaceland and a few technical hiccups will make you hesitate when calling this a Call of Duty game.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 fixes many of the problems that the first title left unattended and once again gives the player the opportunity to fix the Dragon Ball history. The game has a great amount of content which means many hours of gameplay. Fan service and nice storytelling will keep you going until you reach the very end. However, countless localization problems, recycled elements and senseless side-missions hurt the overall experience.

World of Final Fantasy may not look like a modern open-world action RPG. But instead, it brings colorful environments, an enjoyable story, great combat mechanics and, most importantly, nostalgia at its best. This Square Enix game was made for the Final Fantasy fan who loves the series and its iconic characters. It may not have the best narrative and dialogue, but it will give players tons of entertainment on many different levels.

With more freedom, personalization, complexity and meaningful choices than ever, the game is every inch as addictive as ever, even to the veteran, who will toil with the improved difficulty, new victory conditions and mechanics. A masterpiece.

Titanfall 2 comes across as a beefier experience overall. The multiplayer mode hits the mark almost on every level while addressing most of the complaints gamers had with the original game. On top of that, now you have a proper campaign, which may not be very memorable but serves as a nice addition and a testament to Respawn's commitment to its fans.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 could feel like the same title that came out 7 years ago, but it brings new and more challenging features that competitive players will enjoy. The game is fun from the first to the last curse you unblock. It may not have many modes or real Boss Battles, but it is still a fun experience that Pac-Man fans will enjoy.

Battlefield 1 is a breathtaking reinvention of the franchise, faithful to its origins and with enough innovations to redefine total warfare as we know it. It has an impactful and touching campaign, and a well designed multiplayer. In other words, Battlefield 1 has solid-enough foundations to be a competitive shooter for years to come.

Despite adopting the same formula as Minecraft, Dragon Quest Builders gives the player an adventure of its own. It has an extensive open world to explore, easy to understand crafting mechanics, but the best part of this Square Enix game is that there is a goal to accomplish, colorful characters and great storytelling.

Finally, WWE 2K17 is here for current and last generation consoles. The lack of Showcase mode gave the chance to My Career to shine on its own, but instead, showed how badly prepared this mode is compared with other sports games. On the other hand, the game mechanics are slower, hurting overall and experience that need an urgent evolution so the franchise can feel fresh. WWE 2K17 must be taken as a lesson of how a wrestling game should not be.

If I had to describe Mafia III in one word, that would be disappointing. A huge open world, good voice acting and an impressive soundtrack flesh out 2K's big bet. Unfortunately, repetitive missions, technical setbacks and a barren city end up diminishing the game's potential, putting its flaws on the spotlight.
