Forza Motorsport 7 is a great addition to the franchise and with dynamic weather and couple of tweaks implemented in this version, this could be the best Forza ever. The campaign mode is fun and solid with tons and tons of hours to play with. Monster Hunter Generations may not be a direct sequel to the Monster Hunter series, but it serves as a celebration to all the hunters that started with the series 10 years ago instead. Ni no Kuni is almost a perfect video game adaptation of a Studio Ghibli's movie with only minor problems. Echoes of Wisdom is a solid game with fantastic ideas that will force you to reprogram that Legend of Zelda brain you've been shaping over years and years of practice. Grezzo has created an experience worth trying and a journey no fan of the franchise will regret starting. Spiritfarer's journey fulfills from start to finish. No matter how sad its premise is, it is something you must experience, especially for its premise that recognizes that there is a beginning and an end, but what matters is what happens along the way.- LevelUp

Control takes us right the other side of that door you do not remember having unlocked, to the middle of the that dark hall that you started crossing while thinking that there’s nothing hiding in the dark, specially not behind you. The dark tone and creepy setting of the Oldest House remains all through your adventure and even though you’ll eventually get enough powers to kick around any enemy you find, you’ll never get to chase away that feeling that something is not right. Control is a reminder that Remedy is still a developing powerhouse.- LevelUp

FIFA 16 doesn’t reinvent the wheel and needs to refresh its visuals but still, the addition of female soccer players with its own physics on top of the adjustments made on the pitch and to the career modes, make it a better game without a doubt.- LevelUp

ArtePiazza understood what elements needed to be improved to deliver a remake that went beyond better graphics. This is Super Mario RPG for a new era and a new audience, with improvements that bring it closer to modern standards. It's hard to say that the remake will replace the gem that is the original, but it's another jewel that deserves to sit alongside it.- LevelUp

This is truly the definitive edition of a great hack and slash game. The exclusive additions may seem dreary, but they actually refresh the fighting system and serve as a return to the roots of the franchise. This is a well-made re-edition.- LevelUp

Ghost of Tsushima is a slight surprise. It is an all-around experience which delivers the fantasy of being a mythical samurai warrior. However, not everything shines, especially with the stealth systems, that do not square up, mechanically nor thematically. As the old saying goes, a samurai cannot obey 2 masters, because he dishonors himself. Thus, Ghost of Tsushima is a reminder of why Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are generational gems and benchmarks in open world terms.- LevelUp

While this game offers the same magnificent platform experience than the original Wii version, it suffers from issues associated with the smaller screen. The new controls are precise, specially now that you don't have to shake the controller. Even though the art direction and the levels where designed with a TV screen in mind, the 3D effect really enhances the backgrounds and environments. Challenging, fun and solid, the game design of this title shines even through its flaws and the patches that where made while adapting it for the 3DS.- LevelUp

Thanks to the way in which the history of video games developed, Metroidvania as a genre continues to nourish the romanticism that surrounds the titles that gives it a name. In that sense, Guacamelee!2 is a worthy representative of the genre since it complies with the elements required to be approved by enthusiasts, old and new school players. As promised, DrinkBox Studios has taken the series to the next level and everything has been greatly improved. The merit of the Canadian studio is that the game is capable of expressing itself through its mechanics.- LevelUp

Persona 5 Strikers is a pleasant surprise that renews the way games in the musou style are made and directs it towards the RPG genre. It may arrive without much unbridled action and spectacular movements, but integrates an element of strategy, and character development with a well-paced story. In all, it's an outstanding teenage road story that breaks the mold. We have no doubt Persona 5 fans will enjoy it from start to finish.- LevelUp

Despite an uneven evolution on and off the pitch, FIFA 18 manages to muster enough innovation and improvements to make it a worthy iteration of the franchise with a fleshed out Journey mode, the interactive transfers, and the real motion technology as its most juicy contributions. While the unbalanced action on the pitch and some abandoned modes constitute the most glaring weaknesses.- LevelUp

As you would expect from a point and click game, almost the complete value of Life is Strange resides on its narrative. There are a few moments in which gameplay takes center stage, but it ends up being crushed by the intensity of the story and the development of the characters. Having said that, in order to really enjoy the experience, you better play the complete game, as it is getting better with each chapter.- LevelUp
