Destruction is still cool, and in the end I have to give the creators credit for the fact that the much marketing-washed akedo has its moments. Everything else that made a good Battlefield is completely missing, and that chase for record-breaking size or player count is really a poor substitute for well-designed maps, rich content in the form of game modes, and certainly no substitute for the original class system that the gameplay has always relied on in the first place. Even the basic balanced alternation between boss slaying expeditions and tending your sheep will provide hours of fun, maybe even dozens of hours. And there are even more things to do in the game, including mini-games like fishing or playing backgammon. [Issue#321]

The faithfully rendered, authentically impoverished setting goes a bit against the more magical technologies that accompany the cat's adventures. Suddenly, the game is left with nothing more than the atmosphere of each area, which fortunately in Stray's case still means a hell of a lot. [Issue#321]

It tries too hard to be a game and present as many different cheating techniques as possible in the cards. If the cheats were fewer, or presented in a less frequent and more consistent sequence, Card Shark would be a complete original hit, not just a beautiful visual novel with quick time events. What sets the game apart from other massacre games like Doom, however, is the fact that weapons and your accuracy aren't the only factors affecting your ability to destroy. That X factor is in fact the music, which serves not only as an atmospheric backdrop but also as a crucial mechanic. [Issue#322]

Admittedly, even though the story is linear, the world in which it takes place feels very alive thanks to the cheerful characters saying various quips, but also thanks to the various texts you find and learn more about Silesia in 1428 as you read them. [Issue#322]

A totally unnecessary reboot. Not to say the game isn't fun. It is. Again, it's pure escapism that exists just so you can fool around with a bunch of weapons and vehicles and not have to think about it. The problem is that previous installments have done the same thing - and infinitely better. [Issue#322]

Victoria gives players a glimpse of the changing world of the nineteenth century. The player forms nations, oversees ethnic groups, colonizes a world untouched by Western civilization, and most importantly, manages trade and industry.
