The script is unbalanced. One minute the game moralizes how bad it is to make fun of stereotypes, then a moment later it overwhelms you with an over-the-top brutal scene. Pretty graphics, hilarious animations and good voice acting can't save a weak script. [Issue#323]- LEVEL (Czech Republic)

Great follow-up. It's another story about the tragic fate of two siblings. It doesn't bring anything groundbreakingly new, but it improves on what worked and surprised in the first volume, and because of that, it still entertains. [Issue#323]- LEVEL (Czech Republic)

I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]- LEVEL (Czech Republic)

The levels are well designed. Even better, however, are the shootouts themselves, in which you mow down hordes of varying enemies, be they Imperial Guardsmen, Occultists or other orcs who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The whole thing is also accompanied by an excellent soundtrack, and even more amazing voice acting. [Issue#323]- LEVEL (Czech Republic)

The game is not bad and serves you a lot. You want a hero? You have four. Want big missions? Usually you have about three going at once. You want side missions? You've got a city full of them. Which doesn't mean it's a great game. Just good and solid. [Issue#323]- LEVEL (Czech Republic)

Doesn't matter that the effects and magic look great, or that the art stylization is breathtaking at times, when you're standing on a desolate plain and looking into the fog most of the time, because the creators simply couldn't manage a decent visibility. This is how games were made a decade ago. The successful port brought a game to PC that simply isn't available on Steam or the Epic Game Store. Seriously, you just can't get a game like this on PC. Accessible, entertaining in every aspect, funny, cleverly written and acted, audiovisually awesome. This is a AAA production with everything you expect from it. [Issue#329]- LEVEL (Czech Republic)

Ultimately, I can't think of a reason why anyone should play it. It's a desperately unimaginative, repetitive collection of minigames with nothing to offer. [Issue#329]- LEVEL (Czech Republic)

Final Fantasy XVI is an excellent game in every way. If you're a fan of the series for the stories and characters, you won't go wrong here, and if you've avoided the series for, say, turn-based combat, the sixteenth installment offers the perfect opportunity to get started with this legend of the gaming industry. With pixels so big they could be cut, and an authentic retro feel, Ludicrous Edition is aiming for nostalgia. This is punctuated by the fluidity of the gameplay, added by tweaked controls including mouse support, but nothing more. [Issue#329]- LEVEL (Czech Republic)

But the big problem on consoles are the controls, and across platforms, the bugs that straddle the line between minor glitches and collapsing game mechanics. Graphically, then, it's not exactly a glamorous experience either. Dark Descent should be approached with caution, and it's entirely possible that the game won't suit you for a myriad of reasons. It's a thrilling ride. You go for one short game and wake up after five hours, only to return to playing immediately because you've figured out how to beat your opponent. The graphics may be simple, but they make up for it with the colour and thoughtfulness of the environments, and one genuinely enjoys exploring every nook and cranny. This is really worth it. Apart from the fact that it's fun to play, Nocturnal is also quite fun to watch. At first the graphics can look pretty ordinary, but when the fire and darkness start dancing together, sparks fly! It's the combination of various quick effects, explosions, smoke or darkness that gives Nocturnal its real flair and all together makes Nocturnal truly an Experience with a capital E!
