The release of Pandora's Tower will probably be the last in Nintendo Wii's history. After Xenoblade and The Last Story, the circle is closed, with all the three oriental RPGs out. It may not be equally epic or wonderfully told, but still it's an enjoyable game.

Ride 5 is the first episode designed and developed for current generation consoles: a few kilometers on the track are enough to appreciate its simulation cut and commitment to accessibility (the neural aids work). Compared to Ride 4, the differences are not so marked: Milestone worked above all with a chisel to clean up and refine his most ambitious work. In terms of content, there is nothing to complain about: the proposed virtual dealership offers everything a two-wheel enthusiast could wish for. On the visual front, the volumetric clouds are a welcome addition, the bikes remain beautiful, the circuit park is truly extensive. The career mode has made some steps forward compared to the previous iteration, but has not reached the levels we had hoped for. In short, the team has not failed to further improve the gaming experience but has chosen the path of continuity for this fifth episode: we expected a little more.

Flint Treasure of Oblivion is a pirate adventure with a successful atmosphere and tone, full of visual details that make it more authentic than many other pirate transpositions. Interfaces, settings and costumes, equipment and objects, writing and texts contribute to this goal. The plot, on the other hand, is not among the most interesting and does not fully do justice to the importance of the protagonist: the legendary pirate James Flint from the novel Treasure Island. As for the actual gameplay, although the dice rolls liven up the turn-based battles a bit, in the long run they become repetitive at times and sometimes last too long. Ultimately, if you are a fan of the setting halfway between the epic and the crude, all shrouds, rusty swords and explosive barrels, Flint will fully satisfy you. Otherwise, both as a strategic RPG it is an enjoyable experience, but not very original or varied.

There's a scene, during a flashback in the game, in which Carole invites Lana to literally close one eye and observe her surroundings from a different perspective. "When things don't seem the way we want them to," she tells her, "try to see them from another angle." I decided to do the same with Bye Sweet Carole when I encountered gameplay and stylistic roughness, perhaps the result of a strong desire to do things and an unbalanced sense of proportion. Carole's advice was helpful. Because Little Sewing Machine's work is a small visual and aural delight, a courageous display of skill that manages to transcend its uncertainties. The rating below represents the other angle I chose to see, where the flaws outweigh the merits. The strategic foundations that the Shiro Games team has laid are also solid, thanks to the various mechanics that refer to the Dune universe. However, on this well-studied foundation the team has built an experience that is at times superficial. Its enjoyable handling model, lengthy Story mode populated by memorable characters (though, admittedly, this mode suffers from a few structural and pacing issues), and inspired art direction make it a highly recommendable title for any fan of the genre, regardless of their prior experience. It is a game born of an old-school development philosophy—one that has been modernized and made appealing once again to an incredibly diverse audience.
