After 13 years SEGA brings us the final chapter of the Yakuza series. Albeit it doesn't offer many new things than change drastically its established formula and its world maps and activities feel a little bit reduced when compared to the previous entries, Yakuza 6 is an awesome game with fantastic visuals and a great and deep narrative that concludes the story of Kazuma Kiryu in a terrific way.

The Council is a good attempt to refresh the narrative adventure genre, that starts to feel a little bit too repetitive these days. Although it's not based on a popular intellectual property, it does offer a story full of mystery and some interesting characters.

The War Machine is a DLC that is worth paying. The new maps will be granted to be a pleasant experience, therefore, they can reach high levels of frustration due to the number of options that bad players can use to make camping. Operation Husky is the best you can get in this DLC, while The Shadow Throne is a little disappointing because of the lack of scary moments.

PlayStation boasts a new and wonderful exclusive that will be difficult to match and, of course, it seems that it gives way to a new saga within the wonderful universe of Kratos. It is not enough to be ambitious. The most important thing is to know how to land those ambitions.

Detective Pikachu is one the best Pokémon spin-offs. Its charming and full of personality, sadly it doesn't offer any challenge. As a Pokémon experience it feels great and adds quite a bit in terms of the relationships between pokémon and humans. Detective Pikachu and Tim make a team that we would like to see in action in the future.

The Curse of the Pharaohs is a big improvement from its previous DLC, The Hidden Ones, with great battles and unique topics. Still it misses some opportunities to expand the Origins' universe.

Sea of Thieves is a very risky game. Not only does it come out after very successful multiplayer projects like Diablo, Borderlands and even Destiny, but it presents some difficulties in trying to play with other users and in some of its confusing progress mechanics. But when you are able to play it with people willing to achieve the goal missions and to be communicative, the experience changes completely for the best.

The fans of the Far Cry series should not worry. Here's a bold game with a great story, memorable villains and fun gameplay. If we add the Arcade Mode that's already included with the game and the future DLC's, then we'll be playing Far Cry 5 for a long time.

A Way Out is more than a prison escape adventure - it is an escape from individualism with a clear and honest proposal: to make you trust someone else again, however difficult that reality may be.

Simply spectacular. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is simply one of the best JRPGs of the last decade. An instant classic and definitely the most ambitious title in Level-5's history.

If you're looking for a different indie right now from the PC market, Pato Box is not only a game about a boxer with a duck head, but a really enjoyable and unique title, despite the feeling of being too simple.

One of the most creative game series is back, but perhaps it's not what fans expected. Although it has some fun and interesting elements, there's not much to do after a few hours with the game. The party style mini games are repetitive and some times the creation tool feels like a waste. Give it a try if you're looking for a different game for your parties.

Symmetry has interesting gameplay that combines resource management with a survival game. It has a minimalistic art style that we liked very much. But its high difficulty will quickly make you lose your patience. On some occasions you'll feel that the game is being unjust with you, no matter how well you think you're playing.

Kirby Star Allies is a great entry in the franchise, its beautiful, charming and really fun to play with others. Sadly some of its great ideas such as the friend combos don't flourish as much as we would like.

Despite its lack of "remastered" features for this version, Burnout Paradise is a great game with plenty of content that can't hide its 10 years-story, but you can still have fun with it.

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition its a good remaster with great visuals but with a formula that, sadly, feels limited and kinda simple for the genre standards of nowadays. Nevertheless, it's an enjoyable game that will appeal mostly to those fans and players who enjoyed the original title from two decades ago.

It could be named as an interactive book. If you have read the novel, then it might be of your interest. Otherwise it could bore you. It has a slow gameplay and little action, but it has a compelling story that makes you care about the characters and their future.

The major problem of this game is having the name Metal Gear in its title. Seems like It has nothing to do with the franchise and while it has some good ideas as a game, in the end, the final product is disappointing.

Despite its cultural content and folklore context, Mulaka is a simple adventure game that still has to prove why it's different from other games in the genre.

One of the greatest portable RPGs is back. The bonuses and extras of Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology are pretty good, making a must have to everyone that love this genre.

Bayonetta 2 for Switch is easily one of the best ports that has received the console. Yeah, its the same game that we already played on the Wii U and it doesn't offer anything new aside from the amiibo functionality. However, this is not something necessarily bad because it is still the great, awesome and hectic action game we loved but in a portable version. Even those who have own the first version need to add this fantastic title to their Switch library.

One of the greatest indie game of the last few years has arrived to consoles. A great Metroidvania with awesome art and pretty good game mechanics. A very intense story with all types of incredible moments.

After 2 years and many additions and changes, Capcom finally sends us a new version of Street Fighter V, one that includes all the content that has been launching for the title since it came out to market on 2016 as well as some new and well acclaimed additions that makes this feel like the real game that should had launched from the beginning.

Dynasty Warriors 9 is an interesting new approach to a series that was starting to look stagnant. Albeit its not perfect and has many flaws, the new elements like the open world and State Combo System achieve to offer a new experience that feels fresh, though not in the best possible way.

Celeste is probably the greatest surprise in 2018 so far. Its marvelous platforming, great mechanics, lovely visuals and lovely soundtrack simply make this a must have for anyone who loves 2D platformers.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT its a really chaotic and entertaining combat game. Albeit it has notorious flaws like reduced and limited game modes, fluctuating online performance and kinda broken gameplay physics and mechanics, its a game that will fascinate all those players that give it a chance and, especially those who are fans of the Final Fantasy series.

Digimon Cyber ​​sleuth Hacker's Memory is a good continuation of the first game. It has a lot of what made the first title great along with new mechanics that give it freshness and that end up fitting into the story.

UFC 3 is a title with more strengths than weaknesses. Its basic commands are responsive and allow the player to unleash their creativity in order to knock out their opponent. Although mastering the demolitions is not easy, if you manage to overcome the frustration and control your impulses, at the end of the day you can subdue any opponent.

Despite being developed for the same team that made Until Dawn, The Inpatient lacks of a thrilling story and nice motion controllers that can turn it into a memorable experience for the PlayStation VR.

If you love video games, you have to play this, and if you are one of those who have already done it on more than one occasion, then believe me that this is a wonderful excuse to do it again.

Okami is one of those games that will always be a delight to play from start to finish everytime it comes up. Even though the only strength this version has with respect to its previous counterparts is its increased resolution. It still offers an incredible story with fantastic gameplay mechanics and gorgeous visuals that are worth to experience. Fans who loved the original game would be amazed to replay it once again and newcomers will understand the reasons why this is considered one of the bests games in Capcom's library.

The planets of the galaxy could not help Star Ocean Last Hope 4K & HD Remaster to fix the mistakes of their past versions.

With new gear, 16 new shrines, 1 new divine beast and a new great boss, The Champion’s Ballad offers hour of the best elements in BOTW (including exploring and combat). It might not be narrative driven but overall the experience is fun and challenging.

Being the first JRPG developed exclusively for Switch, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a fantastic game that shows us what the console is capable of. It offers a refined formula from what we saw in previous games and merges it with a fantastic and deep story, majestic and immense worlds and a fabulous soundtrack. Albeit it has some graphical issues that show the limits of the system and how it suffers to maintain an optimal performance, the title is surely one of the greatest games that you can play on Switch and one that will keep you hooked for more than a hundred hours.

This new version for the 2004's Black Mirror game features some nice and enjoyable puzzles, but it deeply fails at its technical side.

For better or worse, Fire Emblem Warriors is another Musou game that only distinguishes itself by the addition of many elements from the FE series that surprisingly adapt really good to the concept of the genre. Fans of the franchise would be delighted with it; those that aren't, not so much.

Besides including all of its previously released content, Resident Evil: Revelations Collections lacks of an interesting cooperative mode or special features for the Nintendo Switch. It's a good addition for the library, just not great.

A must have expansion for one the best games of this year.

Its great to be back in Alola! These enhanced versions wrap up everything in the seventh generation. While Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon suffer some issues with its narrative, the game itself feels complete and as fun as you may remember.

Some might think Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is a predatory app for iOS and Android devices, but if you have the patience to keep coming back, you won't have to invest real money in the game. Besides, it's a charming and beautiful adventure for you to take anywhere.

Double Fine brings us back some very good memories of Raz and all of the other Psychonauts on this new adventure exclusively for the PlayStation VR, which performs a different gameplay from its first entry and lacks charm.

Despite having gameplay like the other LEGO games, children will surely enjoy it. If you're not a fan of Marvel or have played any of the previous titles of the franchise, there is not much to see here.

Don't let the graphical downgrade distance you from a great experience. Rocket League on the go is as fun and addictive in Switch as in any other platform. One of the best multiplayer games on the Nintendo Switch.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney a great remastered version of the original DS title and offers some few but great additions that make it feel like a more full package. That said and aside from the obvious graphic improvement the game is, for better or worse, the same title that many remember from 10 years ago.

A great port to go of one of the most important RPGs of all time.

L.A. Noire for Switch is simply one of the greatest ports for the console seen to date. It retains all the content from the original versions and adjusts it to the functions of the system in an outstanding way. Maybe the graphics pale when compared with the recent remastered editions, but believe us when we say that playing this game on the go is a complete delight.

A great sequel to the 2015 game. Star Wars: Battlefront II feels like a complete product, but the loot box thing surely is going to cause bad reactions.

We finally received a compilation of the best minigames in Mario Party history. While the game itself suffers the lack of other content, each minigame is as great as you remember and the Download Play function makes it a great option for multiplayer experiences.

Super Lucky's Tale offers a charming and colorful adventure with basic but accessible and fun gameplay. However, its cast of characters is forgettable, the worlds it offers feel a little bit repetitive and its difficulty can get kinda easy for experienced players of the genre. You can say its just an average platform title.

Despite the technical limitations by the Nintendo Switch hardware, you will experience all the brutality and incredible action in this version of DOOM which is a good opportunity for a new audience.

Need for Speed: Payback is a great fun open world with a story campaign that works well. Racing is exciting and all of the car modifications are interesting, besides lacking from its technical side.

Besides the lack of some other great hits besides "Despacito", Just Dance 2018 makes another nice game, specially for the kinds at home and all of the people that might get it for the Nintendo Switch. Playing it on a Nintendo Switch with HD Rumble technology and both Joy-Cons just feels like the way it was meant to be.

Back to the roots. Call of Duty: WWII is a great WW2 FPS that uses plenty of old school mechanics.

Even though Spelunker Party! is a fun and challenging game, it sadly feels monotonous after some hours. You might enjoy playing with your friends but there are better multiplayer experiences in the Nintendo Switch catalog.

Besides some minor technical and A.I. issues, Assassin's Creed Origins merges up as an astonishing, dynamic world where Bayek begins the history of the franchise. It surely represents a great way to celebrate 10 years of Assassin's Creed and a redemption chance for Ubisoft as a developer.

Even and without the absence of a multiplayer mode, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a great FPS that offers a fantastic, deep and really well told story. If you love the genre you should not miss it.

The Gran Turismo franchise makes its comeback almost four years after its latest entrance with a different attempt for the driving simulator games: VR and an online, esports' focus for the masses. Despite being a great attempt, it just doesn't feel cohesive or complete as any other of its own past games.

Super Mario Odyssey is the culmination of years of experience from Nitendo's developers. It seems like everything great from past games has found its place in this adventure. All the exploration and its marvels are back, combined with great platforming and surprises. Also, Super Mario Odyssey is a game that really pushes the Switch's capabilities... and you can play on the go and get some Power Moons anywhere, anytime.

A great remake for one of the most beloved Game Boy Advance games.

We still miss the Showcase mode and is a flawed game compared to the best sports games in the market, but it's the best edition in the series recently.

A Hat in Time is an interesting platform game in which you take control of an amazing, cute little girl fighting to get the fuel she needs to come back home. Despite looking and taking a lot of elements from great platform games like Banjo-Kazooie and Super Mario 64, it's a challenging game that's gonna take you by surprise, even tough it's not an amazingly crafted 3D world.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole has a more polished combat system than the first game, but it still has some of its basic flaws that makes it feel monotonous. Either way, you'll enjoy it the most if you're a fan of the animated show. The plot is intelligent, irreverent and with a few surprises, though it lacks a few epic moments.

Although many (myself included) were somewhat concerned after learning that Mikami would not be the director on this occasion giving the opportunity to John Johanas, the American's work with a different tone and narrative direction helped the overall experience.

Steamworld Dig 2 is a great sequel. Everything from its predecessor has been improved making the experience funnier and even more addictive. The exploration feels so natural that it doesn't matter if you play some minutes or several hours, it will still feel great. A must have for those looking for an awesome metroidvania.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is a great sequel to one of the best videogames based on the Tolkien's Universe.

The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game is a really entertaining game. It focuses more on action and combat than in puzzles and exploration and that gives it a special personality that makes it feel different from other LEGO Games. Sadly, it also shares the same formula that we have seen in practically all the other LEGO games from the last decade and so, the surprise factor is completely absent.

A very interesting Golf RPG. Crazy mechanics, crazy story and crazy NPCs. A fresh game.

NBA 2K18 proves again that they're one of the best sports games of the year. But several of its features are starting to feel the same year after year. They need a radical change to keep innovating in the future. The MyCareer mode has more changes than the other modes, with a social experiment that not all fans are keen of. It has an excessive use of microtransactions that might demoralize the fans that try their best to be on the top.

Pokkén Tournament DX is the definitive edition of one of the best fighting games on Nintendo consoles. This port takes advantage of Nintendo Switch's hardware which lets us play on the go and share the experience with anyone. A must have if you didn't own the Wii U version.

The Forza Motorsport series makes a great comeback which works perfectly with a younger and modern look. The gameplay feels better than ever and the dynamic weather option surely feels like a drastic change compared to Forza Motorsport 6, even though there are some technical issues that we experienced and turned it into a non-cohesive game.

Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth is a great way to end one incredible and complex story like this one; it's guaranteed that fans will enjoy it the most. That being said, the game doesn't offer anything different from what we have seen in the past entries and still makes mistakes. Also, this is an aggressive game for newcomers.

FIFA 18 on Switch is by far the best portable edition in the FIFA series. It works great in the handheld mode: no framerate issues, quick loading and easy to start. Sadly this version still feels like an old one, but we hope EA Romania can improve the game in the next entry.

Cuphead has an amazing and incredible art style that's not only breathtaking, but also features gameplay that's going to test your skills. Even though some may find it beyond its skill's reach, if you're looking for a challenge this is exactly the game you should pick...The difficulty really lies (beyond the game mechanics) in the bosses, who usually add random elements that you just can never read, as well as the timing that you have to measure based on your mistakes. That is, in our view, what really makes Cuphead difficult.

Like in previous years, FIFA 18 it's a game that fans of soccer will appreciate the most. There's different ways that you can enjoy of its contents and when you are through with one of them, you can continue with another one that has several differences. Either that you just like to play with your buddies at parties, compete with thousands of fans online from around the world, or whether you'd like to relish on a good story in The Journey. But we have to admit that the novelties are scarce on comparison with last years entry.

Ironically, Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash is a solid game with well designed and implemented controls that make it one of the best entries in the series. Albeit its notorious flaws, it has fast paced gameplay mechanics, a wide variety of modes and a lot of unlockable content that will maintain you engaged and entertained for many hours. Fans of the series should check this one without hesitation.

A pretty good simulation game. The thing is that you need a proper wheel to play it in the right way. Using a conventional controller is not an option.

Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite is not a bad game by any means; actually it's a really entertaining title with interesting and solid gameplay mechanics, a balanced roster of characters and a fair ammount of game modes. It is sad that all of this gets tarnished by some hideous flaws like its story mode, questionable character design and the inexpressible removal of key characters and mechanics that were basic to the series.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is a conclusion that honors an amazing franchise.

A great new entry for this legendary soccer series.

It's a more polished and fun game than the original . That's how the first one should have been. It's a must have for fans of action and sci-fi games. Its story makes more sense and it justifies the reboot of its whole universe. It's a game that has something for every kind of player, whether you're just looking to enjoy the campaign, play co-op with your friends or compete with players from all over the world. Few games can accomplish that.

A great spin off for one of the most beloved franchises in videogames.

Before The Storm fits perfectly with its new protagonist Chloe about the way she sees and feels life. The fact that Deck Nine was able to make something completely different but familiar, at the same time, just makes us want to play the rest of its episodes. The one, big problem we were able to find about it, technically, is that despite changing its graphic engine from Unreal to Unity, the game still struggles to be cohesive.

Metroid: Samus Returns is a fantastic remake from one of the most unnoticed games from the series. It combines a really well-known formula and complements it with some new gameplay mechanics, functional controls, gorgeous visuals, and many more surprises that make it feel as a familiar yet fresh experience. It is a must have game for any fan of the brave Samus Aran.

Another great adventure game from Ron Gilbert. Maniac Mansion fans, you must play this ASAP.

Knack II is a better game than its predecessor; it has improved gameplay mechanics, nice additions and some corrections that were needed from the previous game. However, it still suffers from many flaws that were present in the past - like little challenge, absurd story or linear levels - that tarnishes most of its improvements. It is fun to play but an inconsequential experience.
