Jurassic World Evolution takes the true theme of the film franchise and recreates it in a splendid park sim that gives players the power to create their own theme parks full of dangerous dinosaurs. What could go wrong?

I must say I really enjoyed building and running my own Jurassic World park. It's not perfect, and certainly given the heritage of the developer in theme park games we possibly could have expected a bit more from it, but you just never know what DLC and the ongoing development promised of the game might bring.

Frontier Developments offers an entertaining title under a graphic aspect perfectly linked with the reality of the dinosaurs. The amount of species to discover add much attraction and the possibility of visiting the park in third person is all a success, although those who aren’t lovers of the gender can find it boring and repetitive.

Jurassic World Evolution may not be the deepest management sim ever, but it embraces its subject matter with gusto.

A simple park simulation game, with good graphics. A bit too easy, it's good for Jurassic Park's series fans.

Jurassic World Evolution isn't exactly a great park management sim. It's light on far too many of its facets, bringing a lopsided feel to its structure. Even so, the relative accessibility of the game and the attention given to the dinosaurs make up for most of the issues. The ride is enjoyable enough, but the lack of sim depth makes this a bit of a toothless attraction.

Ultimately, Jurassic World Evolution feels built largely for the film franchise's biggest fans. Which is to say, for those who will be so giddily distracted by the ability to drive alongside dinosaurs, snapping pictures, that they won't mind that the simulation options offered up only go skin deep.

A game who is honoring the Jurassic Park Franchise !

It has been a long time since, I wasn't this addicted to a game.

This is an excellent game, to make it simple : you got a city-builder with a lot of options at your disposal (managing store prices, upgrades your buildings etc...) very complete...

And the aspect of a Zoo Tycoon but with Dinosaurs, where you have to care of your little incubated creatures (handle their thirst & foods, heal them if they contract diseases, and
a very advance environment setup, specific dinausors will need more space or grass than other etc... you have to accommodate their needs.

I'm also in love, that you are able to play as a ranger and drive the jeep (give you even more immersion),
you can yourself complete task such as refill foods supplies, so cool !

The game even have a photo mode for the dinosaurs fanatics !

Absolutely to recommend, finally a game who is worthy of the Jurassic World Evolution title ! just perfect 10 at of 10

I have played the wholeAfter a long while of having the game in my sights I finally bought it to see whether it could convince me or not. I have played the whole standard game with every island with full score and all missions on my PS4 Pro with SSD. I would rate the game a 7.5 but I feel it does not deserve an 8 so I ll go with the 7. Read on for the "why".

I am not fan of Jurassic Park although the movies were kinda cool, so I m practically not biased in any way. Still the game is definitely something for fans of the franchise and delivers quite well. You play over the course of multiple islands each with different tasks, missions and obstacles. The principle is kinda nice and the variety with the unlocks that come over time is well done.

The core gameloop lacks a bit in my opinion. The simulation factor is very basic and most statistics you will never need. Every island plays the same: very slow start, drop cheap dinos and then snowball until you drown in money. This is a little bit sad and I wished so often to have a possibility to pause or fast forward. Some dino mutations take forever to breed, so you gotta go for a shower or cook meanwhile.

The disaster management is a nice addition but sometimes **** snowballs so hard in this game where a tornado caps walls, then elektro or maybe your ranger station. While you try to recover other dinos break out of panic. It IS handable but after all such events may cost you half an hour or more depending on the random damage. Even storm security doesnt help much. Same goes for the walls. There are different types but either you just need the weakest one or the dinos are so creeped out that even electrified concrete walls wont do the deal.

As you can see it is a mix of up and downs. The game still is fun, the dinos are cool, it is just very slow a bit repetitive and it lacks a certain depths. When you want 5 stars for each island, it can be a pain in the ass because some places are minorly overcrowded or you try to squeeze in another toilet for a 0.5% boost. For the dinos just drop the highest mutation for a quick boost and thats it.

My summary is that I had a lot of fun and I would recommend the game for fans or casual simulation players but only for a decent discount. They could ve done way more out of the game and I kinda hope they will do a 2nd try after they dropped all the DLCs they want to. If you truly like the game you will find content for 20 to 40 hrs with DLCs even more. So consider your likings and go for those dinos!

For starters many of the maps are to small to truly be fun, but still aren't exactly a huge challenge. Also the sandbox mode, if you can call it that, has to be unlocked and only lets you use the stuff you already unlocked. It essentially just an island to play on that lets you mess with options. It is quite weird how they did it and i really would have liked just an island i could either play with everything unlocked and just build or essentially play the game and unlock everything as opposed to the story mode. Speaking of the story, there is a story but only in the vague sense. That being said, everything in the game does function and it functions well and the game is fun. I don't regret buying it at all, I just wish there was more to the story and sandbox island. Expand

Score a bit low. but this game is frustratingly disappointing.

Great visually, great choice of dinosaur. But come on, it's dinosaurs, was always going to be popular based on that alone.

As a park creation and simulation, it's terrible - Not much choice of building, no decorative options to make parks unique, too much micro managing of menial jobs (Seriously, if it was a real park and I had rangers sitting on their ass until I physically told them to go and feed the animals, every. single. time, I would fire their ass)

Speaking of food, the dinosaurs eat a lot and don't poop at all. Theres no interaction with customers at all, don't hear their views, opinions, what they like, what they don't blah blah blah

And the different divisions are nonsense, they contradict themselves and just seem thoughtlessly thrown in to give the game "Missions".

Sending expeditions and harvesting fossils is dull and too easy - also, where are the baby dinosaurs?

    Dinosaurs have no personalities whatsoever.

I don't feel like i'm running a Dinosaur zoo at all as the managerial side of things is so thin.

In my opinion, it feels lazy as the developers know it will sell for the fact it has dinosaurs

Notable other nonsense in the game: Shops can only sell 1 item at a time, WTF? the enclosures are not advanced at all (grass, trees, water - done), flocking dinosaurs don't flock, Visitors are so dull and insignificant I forget they are there
