Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star for Switch could be considered as the best version of the title. Thanks to the technical aspects of the console that let it run with a better resolution in its portable format, it performs better that the one of the Vita. Also and even though it has less framerate in its TV mode, all of its gameplay runs smoothly, the amount enough that make it not be outclassed by the PS4 edition. Also and as an aesthetic bonus, it has all of its DLC from the beginning.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is the game that every third-party should aspire to create for the Nintendo Switch: its fun, inspiring, and just seems to push the hardware to its limits. Ubisoft did a great job capturing Mario's world and gives us a very entertaining experience.

Overcooked: Special Edition is a great co-op game that takes advantage of the Switch portability and Joy-Cons. Sadly its framerate issues prevent from getting a higher score.

A letter of love for all F1 fans. F1 2017 is more than a F1 simulator, is a fun and functional video game that every racing fan should experience.

Madden NFL 18 is a solid sports game. It's an immersive experience that all kind of fans can enjoy. But, being honest, it doesn't offers much novelties from previous entries. The story mode is interesting and with a good script, although we wish it lasted a little longer.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is an amazing new chapter for this fantastic franchise. Although the game follows a pretty conservative formula, the way it presents its gameplay, story and visuals, is almost perfect.

Batman: The Enemy Within opens in a pretty mediocre way thanks to a poor script.

Matterfall is a great side-scrolling shooter with addictive gameplay and worthy challenge. If you love these type of games or, at least, the previous works of Housemarque, then you will love it.

Agents of Mayhem is a good action game with a tremendous generic feeling. Although it is fun to play, sadly it doesn't have anything that makes it shine like other games, even less like those like of the Saints Row series. If you play it you could have a really good time; just don't expect anything outstanding.

Sonic Mania is easily the best game of the speedy blue hedgehog in years. Not only that bit it is also one hell of a game that pays tribute to all of the franchise history itself. If you are a Sonic fan don't even doubt about it, go and get it as fast as you can.

The new game from the Gears of War creator is an interesting experience, but I think that its lack of personality will make it forgettable after a short period of time.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is an interesting action game that, aside from its enjoyable gameplay and great combat mechanics, offers an interesting premise that could easily delude your perceptions. Simply put, it is a game that defies any expectations that gamers can have of it.

A pretty good remastered compilation of Mega Man 7, 8, 9 and 10. Great visuals and audio, and some extras like the challenge mode that makes Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 a nice addition to the collection of all Mega Man fans.

Patapon Remastered is a decent new version of a great PSP game.

Behind its Street Pass Game skin, Miitopia is a fresh, extravagant and curious RPG that is not safe from tedious and repetitive parts but it has nice and unexpected surprises too.

Tacoma is a great narrative-driven game that puts you in the middle of a mysterious space station. From the creators of Gone Home, this is a sci-fi experience that you should check out.

Accel World vs. Sword Art Online is not a bad game at all; actually I enjoyed it more than some of the previous games based on the series like Lost Song or Hollow Fragment. That being said, it doesn't stand as a memorable game by any means, but just as an entertaining action title. Nothing more nor less. Recommended for diehard fans of the series.

Hey! Pikmin is a small and pretty simple game, but it is a beautiful experience that every fan of this series should enjoy.

Namco Museum offers a good classic game collection for Switch owners with good emulation and nice presentation options but perhaps it's not enough to justify its price.

Graceful Explosion Machine is a small but great arcade shooter that proves to be fun and addictive.

Tiny Trax is an excellent VR experience, it’s good with respect to its design, gameplay mechanics and visuals. Futurlab did a very good job with its first VR game.

Splatoon 2 has all the elements needed for a great sequel. It repairs some of the flaws from Splatoon while bringing new content. The new modes plus a great single player campaign will keep you playing for hours, besides, the online multiplayer works great. And yes, you can take the Squids on the go, which is just great.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is, easily, the definitive edition of FFXII. It offers the same great adventure that many played and loved on PS2 and enhances it with many elements and additions that improve the overall experience. However, even with all of these, the game cannot avoid showing some aspects that look like little bit aged. Nevertheless, all of them are minimal and do not significantly affect the game by any means.

Stormblood is one of the best expansions we had seen in any MMORPG in recent years. It offers a great story; new and amazing regions to explore; a great amount of additional content that goes from missions to FATES, dungeons or raids; and corrections to its gameplay mechanics that redefine its own experience. If you are a recurrent player of it, then there is no reason to not own it, as simple as that.

A lot of good ideas poorly executed, Micro Machines World Series is good and fun on its basis, but it doesn't have enough options to be enjoyed by the players.

A great DLC for one of the best games of all time. The Master Trials adds a good quantity of content for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If you are looking for a tough challenge, you should check out this expansion.

Episode Prompto is a far better chapter that Episode Gladiolus was. With different but interesting gameplay, a really good story and a design that strays from being linear, this DLC has many good reasons to convince players to return to Final Fantasy XV.

A perfect example how the classic games should be re-adapted to the new hardware generation. Vicarious Visions did excellent work giving an excellent remake to the classic trilogy that will satisfy the classic Crash Bandicoot fans.

Valkyria Revolution is not a bad game by any means, but fails big when trying to reflect the essence of the Valkyria Chronicles series in a genre that doesn't suit it at all like Action. Yeah, it offers a functional gameplay and interesting strategy mechanics, but in the end none of them work that well nor capture the magic that made the original Chronicles trilogy become a cult among gamers.

Nex Machina is exciting, addictive and challenging, a must have for all arcade shooter fans. We loved its level design and the perfect mix of gameplay mechanics combined with a clean presentation and vibrant soundtrack. It’s without doubt one of the best Housemarque games.

For now, I cannot assure you that ARMS will become the Splatoon of the fighting genre or the new jewel of eSports, but its simplicity and personality already give it a leg up.

Wipeout Omega Collection is an excellent remaster, the best way to play the most recent games of the franchise. It offers us great graphics, terrific soundtrack and a gameplay that remind us why Wipeout is the king of futuristic racing games and deserve to continue with more entries to the series in the near future.

DiRT 4 is a great racing game thanks to its sophisticated physics, gameplay mechanics and precise controls.

Tekken 7 is a great game that fulfills all that is promises: it offers great and deep gameplay mechanics, enjoyable game modes, a cast of colorful and diverse characters, and splendid cinematics and scenarios. Sadly, all of its content doesn't go beyond what any other fighting game offers and one of its most important features (the Story Mode) doesn't work so well. Overall, it's a good game that, without a doubt, could have been better.

LocoRoco is an important piece of identity for PlayStation consoles, and this well executed remastered is an excellent opportunity to all who never played the original game on the PSP. More than ten years later, LocoRoco feels fresh with this remastered.

The idea of bringing a Street Fighter game on the go is great, specially when you have the possibility to share the experience with someone else. While not perfect it offers a fun an addictive experience while playing with friends.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is a great remake of the classic Fire Emblem Gaiden of 1992. Its old mechanics and level design, works perfectly with a modern look.

The Surge is a very good surprise because it is more than just a futuristic Dark Souls clon, it’s a challenging and fun action RPG with interesting variations on its combat system and a satisfying campaign.

Forza Horizon 3: Hot Wheels is a dream come true to all the fans of the popular toy brand, an outstanding expansion with new challenges to conquer over its paradise of plastic tracks that offer us challenging gameplay and confirms again that this is one of the greatest racing games of recent years.

Injustice 2 is a great sequel for Gods Among Us. NetherRealm Studios took a pretty safe road with this title in terms of gameplay mechanics, but the little changes they made work perfectly. A great story, good loot box system and a solid multiplayer, make this experience worthwhile.

NBA Playgrounds is not perfect, at this moment the game could offer us a deep variety of game modes and there are some mechanics like precision in perfect shots that are difficult to understand. On the other side, is a very fun experience when you are challenging other player on your own platform or in the competitive online matches.

Dragon Quest Heroes II is an incredible sequel that surpasses its predecessor in every aspect. It has great gameplay, a better story, more mechanics that refresh its experience and a cast of memorable and diverse characters specialized in many combat styles that make to not turn so easily en a repetitive and boring experience.

Prey is a highly sophisticated game with respect to its gameplay, level design and narrative. Although its graphical and artificial intelligence problems are easy to notice, we've had a great sci-fi experience.

Tumbleseed is a beautiful and original roguelike with simple, fresh and unique gameplay mechanics. Its smart design gave us a deep experience full of variety and one of the most difficult game of this year for sure. Maybe some difficult spikes feel unfair but if you have a lot of practice and tons of patience you could dominate it.

With excellent gameplay mechanics, natural controls and an addictive roguelike experience, Flinthook is the best Tribute Games product to date. It offer us a good equilibrium between challenge, progression and fun.

Once again Digital Eclipse does an excellent job adapting classic games to modern platforms. The Disney Afternoon Collection displays very good emulation and extras that retro game fans should try.

Like all Lego Games we have not a challenging experience on Lego City Undercover, but undoubtedly this is one of the most complete games in the franchise with an original story based on the famous toys. With all the classic humor of Lego Games, a varied city to explore and the new split-screen coop game, Lego City Undercover is still fun four years later than its original release.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk its one of the simplest Musou games that Koei Tecmo has made. It is not a bad game by any means but it also doesn't offer anything different or new from what we have saw in any other titles from the genre and one that, sadly, doesn't fully capture the essence of the story that its based on. Simply put, is one game that fans from the original manga or anime will enjoy, but also one that other players will forget really quick.

Snake Pass is a fun and original gameplay experiment that works well to offer us a good and charming exploration game.

A pretty good remastered version of a decent FPS that nobody played during the last console generation. If you want a crazy adventure full of bullets and gore, you should check it out.

PaRappa The Rapper looks amazing in its visuals but the gameplay hasn't aged all that well. The lack of a tool to calibrate our screens is perhaps the worst part of this new edition of the classic rhythm game.

Persona 5 is simply one of the greatest games and JRPGs in recent years. Atlus exceeded itself with one incredible title that not only offers an even better and perfected formula from its fantastic predecessor (Persona 4), but it also shows how a series can evolve with a few additions and accurate adjustments. With its unique, dark and enjoyable story; cast of memorable characters; a fluid and addictive battle system; and a wide variety of activities to engage in, it is simply impossible to find any reason to deprive yourself of this great experience. Even if you are not a fan of the genre, this is a title you should play at any cost.

Yooka-Laylee is a good classic 3D platformer which is better in its first hours and levels when you are discovering the wide array of activities and challenges that you have in this retro colectathon. The rest of the time you can suffer with some weak design decisions to prolong the time required to complete the game.

The Ringed City is a great way to close such an important franchise like Dark Souls. If you are a fan of this title, you should check this expansion.

The Switch version of I am Setsuna looks good and feels great. It might be only 30FPS but that doesn't affect the overall experience. If you enjoyed the JRPGs from the 90s, you should not let it pass.

Episode Gladiolus its a really good and enjoyable DLC. The only big flaw it has resides, once again, in its camera which suffers from the same mistakes of the core game. Aside from that (and even with the fact of its linear level design) its one episode fans will enjoy and good excuse to come back to the game.

This compilation is the best way to enjoy all its Kingdom Hearts adventures with better framerates and reduced loading times, a good recommendation for those who are new to the series but not a must-buy for all who played the original remasters on PS3.

Mario Sports Superstars has some interesting games and works well when you play with friends or compete online, but unfortunately none of the five sports are enough deep to consider them as the best Mario sports games.

Toukiden 2 works very well as a sequel with the new open world that offer us a better approximation to the missions and the demon hand that gives us more options on its combat system. Although the game is not perfect, could be a good choice for the hunting action RPG lovers.

Despite its problems with the facial animations, Mass Effect Andromeda is a great entry in one of the most beloved franchises of all time. Great side-quests, a compelling story, memorable characters, a solid combat system, decisions that matter and a deep atmosphere all make this game a must-have for every sci-fi fan.

Yacht Club Games is still surprising us with the Shovel Knight expansions, with a lot of substantial changes, Specter of Torment is a challenging experience that compliments Treasure Trove as a must have package to every fan of platform games.

While the game is super fun solving the puzzles with a partner based on the communication and coordination, after completing all levels there's no reason to come back and play again.

WRC 6 is a game designed for real rally fans. The problem is that we have a title that lacks content and fun racing mechanics.

Lego Worlds has a lot of potential and the fun of building wherever you want with Lego bricks on its virtual universe, but on the other hand it feels half-baked with random and tedious activities, a problematic camera and some technical issues. The worst part of the game is that you need to repeat the same elements again and again in order to begin to really create your own world.

Super Bomberman R is the best multiplayer option right now for every Nintendo Switch owner. Sadly its main flaw is its input lag, that makes the online battles hard to play in some occasions. Still the 8 player on TV is as fun as in every other game of the franchise. Its single player campaign is fun but too short.

The new game on Ghost Recon series gives us a huge open world full of natural landscapes and missions to complete, unfortunately a lot of its content falls on the same repetitive formula than similar open world games. Besides that, Ghost Recon returns with a deep weapon personalization system, interesting tactical gameplay and tons of fun, especially when you play it on co-op.

NieR: Automata is one of the biggest surprises on the year and one hell of a game. It offers a diverse variety of genres in a well-designed title with fluid and dynamic controls and fast-paced action that never stops. On top of that, its full and rich cast of characters and well-set story makes this one of the most interesting projects we will see in 2017 and one game than no one can miss.

1 2 Switch can provide you game sessions full of laughs and fun, but on the other hand it's just a collection of tech demos for the Joy-Con capabilities that unfortunately are not as deep to sell them as a retail package.

A titanic open world full of life and things to do, a robust combat system, the best story ever to grace the series, an unprecedented artistic direction, puzzles that will blow your mind...are only some of the elements that make The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild an authentic masterpiece that will leave a mark on this medium forever.

Banned Footage Vol. 2 is a great expansion for the great Resident Evil 7. Daughters show us what happened with the Bakers when they met their destiny, and 21 and Jack’s 55h Birthday are pretty good mini games that also expand the narrative of the main game.

One of the clearest examples of how a series can age badly. It offers highly monotonous and tedious gameplay that takes time to develop and arrive at the most important elements of the story. By the time you get to the best or most interesting sections, you will probably be annoyed by its repetitive mechanics and slower pace of development. Only diehard fans from the Digimon World series will have what it takes to endure and tolerate its flaws and value its well-hidden content.

A great, light RTS experience. If you like campaigns in this genre, you should check it out, but if you are looking for a hardcore competitive experience, you won't find it here. Blitz is OK, but the microtransactions system does not work well.

I am happy to see that Horizon: Zero Dawn is not just a huge balloon inflated with hype, but that they've really done a good job in injecting a lot of personality with good technical achievements that characterize them and also the creation of a World with interesting characters, a good campaign and so much depth in their spaces and societies that we very much crave to return in future sequels.

The Art of Battle combat system works more effectively than we had expected, giving us a multiplayer combat game full of possibilities and close matches. Ubisoft has tried something new and has succeeded with a very deep multiplayer experience that is full of potential.

Road to Boruto is a great expansion. It offer the correct amount of content and presents it in a creative way that justifies a return to the game. However, be aware that it doesn’t last too long and that it lacks any new gameplay mechanic; don’t expect any surprise aside from its story.

A great return to the Baker Manor. Bedroom is the best section of this DLC by far, presenting an amazing puzzle with tense situations. Nightmare and Ethan Must Die are modes with more action that makes them a little more generic. If you enjoyed Resident Evil 7's main game, you should check this expansion.

Fortunately, the most recent Yoshi’s adventure was well adapted to the 3DS, and remember us that this beautiful Woolly World has charming and well designed levels. It’s not the best Yoshi’s game, but definitely it is the most memorable one in years.

Tales of Berseria is, simply put, one of the best entries in the series. Its dark and emphatic story and additions to its familiar gameplay turn this game into one fresh experience. Though it has flaws like a story with ups and downs or a linear design in all of its dungeons and map sections, this game offers so much content that will guarantee dozens of hours of entertainment. It is a game that every fan of the genre and franchise should try without exception.

Hunter’s Legacy is a good attempt for Mexican and Latin game development, but flaws in its game mechanics, a poor level design and mediocre visuals, make it a boring game that doesn't contribute in any way.

Fire Emblem Heroes is a great game that succeeds in retaining the core essence of the franchise. It offers a fantastic yet simple gameplay that is easy to understand and mechanics and modes that will maintain entertained even the most hardcore fans from the series. The sad part of it is that it limits its experience with a questionable business model that, sooner or later, ends up pressing the player into buying items and things with high prices. If you can tolerate that, then you will find in FEH an enjoyable title.

Nioh is impressive in a lot of ways offering us beautiful challenging levels and a deep customizable experience. Even with the comparisions with Souls franchise, Nioh is a tremendous fun title full of personality, Team Ninja developed a memorable game with a brilliant combat system and solid gameplay mechanics.

It's surprising how Zen Studios still has fresh additions to the virtual pinball genre. The Magna Save and a new mission selector gave us another addictive pinball table that will satisfy Star Wars fans and pinball enthusiasts.

Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers is a game to enter the genre of srpg, because the learning curve is very smooth and allows new players to understand the most basic concepts. The latter is its greatest strength, since it simplifies the experience and makes it friendly to everyone so that is the best way to know this type of games. It is also brilliant to let us see the franchise from a fresh point of view and make us understand it in more ways, so we can enjoy more of the series and its history. However, we can not say that it is excellent because it is technically mediocre, even though this is not entirely relevant, they could have made a greater effort to make the game feel more alive.

Finally. After a long wait, we have Hitman: The Complete First Season, game that groups all the new adventures of the Agent 47. Great game mechanics, terrific level design and outstanding art direction, makes this game a must have to everyone.

Pokémon Duel is not a bad game and becomes fun. If it were not for the loading times it would be fun to go in from time to time and play a game with acquaintances or with artificial intelligence; However, we cannot overlook that it has errors in its system that make the experience even more frustrating.

Capcom had to change and innovate with this new Resident Evil title. Fortunately, it has achieved an amazing and horrifying experience that makes every Resident fan feel proud and happy that series returns to its origins with a immersive view from first person.

Even though this compilation doesn't have the same amount of content that past remastered Kingdom Hearts packages, it's exciting to see a little bit of the future of the series on the actual generation of consoles with a great remaster of a portable game and a short game that showed us the evolution of the franchise.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle is a game charged by great nostalgic moments and fan service, but its bad game mechanics and poor level design makes it a forgettable experience.
