Hunter's Legacy is an action-packed Metroidvania that gamers who love testing their mettle will enjoy immensely. On the other hand, those who get easily frustrated with difficult games should definitely think twice before they play with this kitty.

While the combat is simplistic, overall the gameplay is solid with responsive, smooth controls. You can find its story almost anywhere in any form of media, but it’s also the type of story that never gets old.

Hunter's Legacy is a 2D action platform game based in a fantasy world and with an old-fashioned and challenging difficulty, but it is scarce on content and variety of characters. The design looks a lot like 'Adventure Time' with cool colors and a very successful formula. But the difficulty is badly adjusted, as well as suffering from some technical problems.

Hunter's Legacy is an action-adventure game that offers a story that has been told over and over in many forms without offering much that is different. With different locations to explore and teleporters to help you get around, the game feels quite large. Ultimately, though, you'll end up annoyed, potentially lost and feeling defeated on a number of different occasions whilst playing it; this lets the game down. The appearance of the game is one of its strongest points, but while it is fun in parts and generally an enjoyable experience, Hunter's Legacy just isn't quite the cat's pyjamas.

Hunter’s Legacy is a good game; it has interesting, engaging gameplay with cool light RPG elements and good level design. Unfortunately, with a lack of any real story or enemies that can go through walls to attack you constantly, coupled with the lack of knowledge about almost necessary upgrades and a difficulty spike that is ridiculously sharp, I can’t whole-heartedly recommend Hunter’s Legacy as a purchase for people unknown to what they might be getting in to.

Hunter’s Legacy is a good attempt for Mexican and Latin game development, but flaws in its game mechanics, a poor level design and mediocre visuals, make it a boring game that doesn't contribute in any way.

I certainly enjoyed looking at Hunter's Legacy while I was playing, but I can't really say that I enjoyed the act of playing it. The combat is slow and exhausting, and the lack of awareness afforded by the camera when fighting enemies that fly off screen is an enormous pain that leads to countless deaths. There's plenty of game in Hunter's Legacy, and a 100% will probably take close to 20 hours; I just can't think of who would be interested in such an offer, especially with far better Metroidvania games on the market.

Beautiful and Dull at the same time
Hunters Legacy is a Metroidvania styled 2d platformer featuring a cat named ikki
You’re equipped with a sword and a bow
and you spend the rest of the game teleporting to 20 different locations in search of the fang of alliance to restore balance in this cat filled land…
And in Metroidvania style this is all about trying to figure out where you’re supposed to be going…
    throwing switches.. checking every direction…
searching for gems and ores to upgrade your weapons and health…
a bunch of back tracking and dealing with a bunch of annoying enemies along the way…
The platforming, the wall jumping... the arrows...
everything about this games works fine…
but I feel its missing soul…
The game is beautiful... the different environments are great to look at
the game just isn’t fun to play through...
From the bosses to the traversing…
    The combat...
    There’s nothing new here...
There’s nothing to make this anything other than a 6 hours grind to the credits
    combat feels numbing and frustrating...
you can roll, slash, and shoot arrows…
but it never feels swift or satisfying… just there…
And in encounters you feel like you’re taking damage at no fault to you....
I felt like I had to get lucky at moments to get from check point to checkpoint... which annoyingly doesn’t refill your health.
Instead you have to rely on random fish drops from enemies…
I did ultimately appreciate the checkpoints though...
they are frequent enough and the game actually remembers when you throw switches so it doesn’t force you to do it again if you die on your way back which is nice…
If you’re itching for a new metroidvania in your life...
Hunters Legacy is in a very playable state…
but don’t expect anything other than an alright experience...
    There’s no magic here…
    I Give Hunters Legacy
    a 6/10
