Rocksteady has clearly done what they could with a business model that once again proves to be a bit too ambitious to be genuinely good.

Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior inverts hack and slash conventions with unique gameplay that knows how to twist seamlessly for hours, putting planning over execution. [Recommended]

GranBlue Fantasy: Relink is a weird JRPG. If you manage to enter their particular world, you can enjoy the proposal, but you have to know what you are going for.

Tekken 8’s generational leap is more evident than ever in this game. With 32 characters in its starting roster, a story mode that’s both bombastic and deeply personal, and an amazing game feel, it’s impossible not to recommend this game. [Recommended]

Astral Ascent is a good roguelite, which stands out for its approach to magic, as well as the importance of its customization, in a fast and demanding gameplay. However, Astral Ascent has problems when it comes to keeping the player hooked, especially in its final stages.

A big failure for Call of Duty saga. Fun multiplayer action isn't enough to make up for a really poor campaign and a simply correct zombie mode. [Not recommended]

RoboCop Rogue City is a perfect game for fans of the character. Unfortunately, its nostalgic value and constant homages will not convince players looking for a more ambitious approach.

A decent AJRPG that need better graphics and a more fun combat.

Jusant is one of the best video game experiences of the year. Maybe its message doesn't get through to you, maybe the climbing doesn't call to you, or maybe the lowpoly art style doesn't appeal to you directly... But it is undeniable that Don't Nod gives us a jewel of just a few hours of duration that deserves all the recognition we can give it. Its demo already pointed out ways, but the final game is as well rounded as the most optimistic of us assumed. [Recommended]

Song of Nunu is a very pleasant surprise. It takes advantage of the League of Legends license like no other Riot Forge game to date, and inoculates you with the love that Tequila Works puts into their work. It's not a revolutionary game and could have a better finish, but it's as rounded and huggable as Willump. [Recommended]

UFC 5 is a good fighting and MMA game that focuses on realism, but the problem is that it is very similar to UFC 4. The playable changes are hardly noticeable and everything is too similar to its predecessor.

The Lamplighters League is a good turn-based tactical RPG and will please fans of the genre, but it falls short in what could differentiate it from the rest. Its mechanics don’t innovate. Infiltration remains a good idea that is not convincing.

Laika: Aged through Blood is an awesome game fulls of ideas and that feels totally new [Recommended]

It's not the best Murder on the Orient Express adaptation, but I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Maybe Return to Moria is just what the license needed. It's simple in its survival or building mechanics, and approaches the story with force, but without presence. It doesn't stand out, but it's the best thing that could happen to The Lord of the Rings right now.

Alan Wake 2 tries to do many things. Some of them work better than others, but I still think we have to appreciate that effort for not being "the typical Triple-A". Not perfect, but different. [Recommended]

Stray Souls is a horror game incapable of provoking fear in the player due to its generic approach, its terrible use of narrative and its clunky gameplay. [Not Recommended]

Total War Pharaoh has small problems due to its concept as a spin off, but CA has done a superb job of skillfully confining all the action in a period and map as complex as Ancient Egypt. [Recommended]

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is one of the best games of the year. That's something we all might have thought before we even played it, but it shouldn't belong to the group of deserving high marks, it should be in the select group of outstanding ones. Miles and Peter give us a hilarious adventure, full of necessary messages about asking for help when needed, and technically it is a delight for the senses. And it shows us that Insomniac is one of the fittest studios on the planet, and it's been that way for many years now. There will probably be bigger titans in 2023 when it comes to video games, but Marvel's Spider-Man deserves a place right after them. [Recommended]

We Were Here Expeditions: The Friendship is a unique game, not because of its graphics, but because of its message and gameplay. You will build much more than a bond, you will get to know yourself much better and you will embark on a short but intense journey in company. [Recommended]

Mortal Kombat 1 reboots its universe to make it much more personal than before. Keeping its brutality and having lots of content, its roster of classic characters has never felt so alive.

Disgaea 7 is not disruptive, but is a good entrance door to the franchise indeed.

PayDay 3 is a better sequel than I wanted to believe, even better than his predecessor in terms of gameplay. However, it's not just PayDay 2's shadow that does a lot of damage to this game; Its unstable servers and illogical decisions against its own community.

Electronic Arts had promised a revolution with the abandonment of the name FIFA and the arrival of EA Sports FC, and the truth is that it surely is. It does not touch what already works, but it adds important changes to the graphics, gameplay and available modes. Not to mention the groundbreaking arrival of women to the most played sports mode on the planet as Ultimate Team, which adds even more depth to the crown jewel of EA Sports. [Recommended]

A very unique game about Yakuzas that surely deserves your time.

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo, a surreal point & click game, is an exquisite work on an artistic level and it's fun to play too. The problem is it has a lot of bugs and it’s not complete.

Dune: Spice Wars leaves early access without many relevant changes beyond its campaign mode. The style of play and the political base are maintained, and although it is enough to get you hooked and enjoy the game, at the same time its lack of new features weigths too much.

Mixing Octopath Traveler with chinese martial arts is a solid success.

eFootball 2024 is a ray of light after the storm: the gameplay is better and it feels like Konami has found the right path to walk. But there aren’t more good news: recycled menus, lack of licenses, lack of variety in game modes… It’s a game that, once again, seems to be half done.

NBA 2K is still the best basketball simulator on the market... But it has no competition either. There are improvements and additions, as every year, but it seems that every time it has to feed more modes and experiences, but does not give enough to have to prioritize what counts with micropayments. It's a good (even great) game when you're on track, but everything else is still several notches below.

Phantom Liberty is a dark, complex storyline that makes you question your decisions at every step. With some of Cyberpunk 2077's most engaging missions & content, it is undoubtedly the return of CDPR to their best.

The Crew Motorfest is the best The Crew to date: fun races, a beautiful map, a good selection of vehicles and a fresh gameplay, with perfect handling for an arcade game.

A beautiful submarine adventure game with a good narrative, awesome art style and funny exploration. [Recommended]

Trine 5 is just as conservative as its prequel, both in terms of mechanics, puzzles, and story, but that's by no means a disadvantage. This fifth installment continues to boast beautiful settings and super fun challenges to complete alone or with friends. [Recommended]

Sea of Stars is a charming JRPG made outside of Japan that you have to play. [Recommended]

Samba de Amigo: Party Central is a hilarious musical game that perfectly respects the classic. Keep the essence of the original and introduce slight changes that feel great. With plenty of game modes, it's a fantastic option for fans of the genre. [Recommended]

Firewall Ultra looks like a game that has been released in early access and it's very hard to recommend you play it in its current state: poor mechanics for VR, long waits to play, only two game modes, several features that are not active yet… It’s a no for the moment. [tRecommended]

Agatha Christie - Hercule Poirot: The London Case is a graphic adventure with all the original atmosphere of Agatha Christie's novels and an interesting mystery to resolve.
