    O jogo está muito superior ao original, sem dúvida foi uma grande homenagem a esse clássico, e coisas que eram muito pastelões pra época hoje fazem mais sentido, está mais pé no chão. Os gráficos estão incríveis, a RE Engine em seu auge, iluminação impecável e o que mais me impressionou em tudo isso foi poder jogar esse jogo no full gráficos com Ray Tracing sem sentir que o jogo estavaO jogo está muito superior ao original, sem dúvida foi uma grande homenagem a esse clássico, e coisas que eram muito pastelões pra época hoje fazem mais sentido, está mais pé no chão. Os gráficos estão incríveis, a RE Engine em seu auge, iluminação impecável e o que mais me impressionou em tudo isso foi poder jogar esse jogo no full gráficos com Ray Tracing sem sentir que o jogo estava pesado, acredito que esteja batendo uns 40 ou 50 FPS pois está muito fluido e satisfatório sem nem precisar se preocupar com o modo desempenho.     The game is really cool, in all aspects, they've expanded the storyline and added new resources, and given life to the characters to interact naturally. Overall, this game is 9/10 for me, my only criticism is that you have to pay for playing with Ada and Wesker and upgrade weapons and other items easily.     Adding microtransactions after the reviews are done is dishonest, and adding microtransactions to full priced $60 games is just greedy. Capcom should be ashamed. If honor is supposed to be a virtue in Japan, Capcom should feel grate shame and dishonor for doing this.

    Hands down one of the best games Ive ever played in my life. What a thrill ride. I had forgotten how much RE4 and Village had in common until I played it again. Every chapter of this game is extremely well paced. The gun fights are incredible. And the boss fights! Oh what epic boss fights. This game is exactly what the doctor ordered!

    Looks very good but the fram rate for moments is a shame, controling Leon is trying to move a sack of potatoes. Seems Capcom puts all they efforts of fluidity only in Leon's hair. Nevertheless it's an awesome new version of the best resident evil ever. I really loved the new Ashley.

Геймплей тактический, это не порсто пострелушка, надо подходить к дракам с умом, боеприпасов не очень много, а враги злые и их много. Хоррор составляющей в игре не много, она скорее создает гнетущее давление на игрока, чем пугает. Загадки не сложные,Хорошая игра, мне очень понравилась. Сюжет звезд с неба не хватает, но с своей ролью справляется, создает нужный темп и интригу. Локации разные, не запутанные, сокровища в них искать приятно и хочется это делать. Арсенал в игре обширнейший, от пистолета до ракетницы, и всё это добро, включая нож, можно прокачивать. Также есть доп. активности, нужные для фарма особых камушков, которые потом обмениваешь на разные плюшки у торгаша. И вот с проработкой этих квестов почти не парились, задания максимально банальные (убей крыс, сбей медальоны) и повторяются, за исключением пары оригинальных. Есть тир, который позволит и навыки стрельбы подтянуть, и выиграть разные бонусы вроде снижения стоимости апгрейдов, прикольная активность. В оригинал не играл, но говорят, что в целом в игре много чего поменяли, и в лучшую сторону - почти не осталось QTE, больше развили некоторых персонажей вроде Луиса, обновили механику ножа, добавили примитивный стелс, осовременили лвлдизайн и т.п. А вот что не нужно было добавлять так это магазин с микротранзакциями, в сингловой игре за фуллпрайс он нахер не нужен, а только руинит баланс и показывает жадность капком, что 70$ за ремейк им мало. Мало того, еще и длс с Адой не завезли, оно выйдет позже в этом году и 100% будет платным...
    Если же упускать момент с магазином, игра однозначно стоит внимания, это лучший хоррор экшн на данный момент.    … Expand

    If their is such a thing as a perfect game, then this is it. Everything works like it should - that sounds like a low bar but it's a high one. Every controller press feels intuitive, graphic design is spot on, performance is good, its funny/scary/dramatic. At a minimum its at the same level as TLOU, RDR2 and other 'classics'.
    So glad I persevered with that opening stage!!!

Ремейк тоже очень порадовал, всё стало еще лучше, единственный минус на мой взгляд, это упущенная возможность более подробно рассказать историю жителей деревни, замка, этого культа и т.д. через записки и окружение, очень мало таких историй. В остальном все круто, рекомендую!Играл в РЕ 4 еще на ПС 2, очень понравилось тогда.     Great game. Some content left out and I think they should've spent more time developing Saddler's relationship with Leon as well as Ada's but this barely affected my enjoyment of the game. It's mostly very faithful to the original. People rating anything below a 7 are acting unwise.

    The graphics are blurry and has glitches on the ps5. Capcom never fix this despite people voicing out their concerns from the demo! There are also some minor frame rate issues.

    Uma dos melhores remakes que já vi na vida, não achei que seria bom a esse nível, tiraram algumas coisas irrelevantes pra mim, e mudaram algumas que não faziam sentido, pra mim está perfeito.(quem tá reclamando da roupa da ada é punheteirozinho mesmo)

    Must be GOTY, My Childhood rised up after 18 years later, I finished 3 times maybe 4, I enjoyed with this remake, everything so smooth, 10/10

Professional S+ is too easy, parries trivialized the difficulty in this game. The tank controls and stiffness of OG adds a layer of depth and frustration that can only be replicated in 2005. And don't get me started on Ashley. Why can't I look up her skirt, Capcom? What have you done to yourselves? That alone is why this game deserves a 5/10.

    When the original Resident Evil 4 was released it marked the end of my interest in the Resident evil franchise, it was a departure from what I loved about the series and the tank controls were just awful.

    This remake drags the old game into the modern age, and unlike the original, I played this until its completion.     Level design is a bit of a let down, half the corridors you walk or rooms you enter have you wondering why they would exist, what's their purpose? The suspense is ruined by a constant barrage of cut and paste enemies with a few forgettable "Shoot the yellow bit" bosses along the way.

    IMO RE4 wasn't good back then, and it isn't good now. It's certainly playable, but also pretty missable.    … Expand

    I wasn't a fan of the original Resident Evil 4, which game I really didn't like to play. But, in this remake (2023), I really enjoyed to play, and I'm also playing because it's so awesome. Especially the characters, 'cause they had an amazing evolution and personalities. This time, Resident Evil 4 is one of the best Resident Evil's games for me.

Esse jogo é maravilho, gameplay divertida, deixou a história mais madura e menos galhofa (não entendam mal, amo a **** do RE4 original), desenvolveram muito mais os personagens, o fator replay é insano, vc vai rejogar aquilo dezenas de vezes sem enjoar, a dublagem br ficouPessoal que tá dando 0 pra esse jogo é maluco, só pq não dá pra ver a calcinha da Ashley os caras estão putos. Esse jogo é maravilho, gameplay divertida, deixou a história mais madura e menos galhofa (não entendam mal, amo a **** do RE4 original), desenvolveram muito mais os personagens, o fator replay é insano, vc vai rejogar aquilo dezenas de vezes sem enjoar, a dublagem br ficou incrivel e a ambientação é exelente. It revolutionized and defined an entire generation of action 3rd person games. Now, while it may have been unnecessary to remake this game (the original only feels dated in a couple minor ways), the remake builds on and modernizes the experience in fresh and exhilaratingThe original Resident Evil 4, released in 2005, is one the most definitive and important releases of the last 3 decades. It revolutionized and defined an entire generation of action 3rd person games. Now, while it may have been unnecessary to remake this game (the original only feels dated in a couple minor ways), the remake builds on and modernizes the experience in fresh and exhilarating new ways.

    The backdrop here is the same, you play as Leon and are trying to save Ashley, the presidents daughter, who has been kidnapped and is going to be used in some secret plot to infect the US with the new plaga bug. Yes, this is still kind of a silly opening and premise for this game but it is a little more effective this time around due to Ashley being a much more fleshed out character. Ashley is no longer a complete damsel in distress, her dialogue and actions are a great improvement over the original. She forms a much more believable bond with Leon this time around. Leon is as stoic an heroic as he was in the original, he is so serious with almost all of his dialogue that it borders on being very funny almost every time he opens his mouth. He is more like an 80s action star now, mixing in a lot of quips during fights like "bingo" when you blow a Ganado's head off or "guess we're about to find out" when asked if he gets car sick before getting on a mine cart. But, in true Resident Evil fashion, nobody is really here for the dialogue and story.

    Resident Evil 4 brought the franchise out from being survival horror focused to being full on balls to the wall action centric. The game liberally throws enemy after enemy and set pieces at you around every corner. There is no shortage of ammunition, knives, and grenades to slow you down in your rescue mission to find Ashley. All the weapons have a great feel and weight to them when you succeed in staggering or blowing off the appendages of the Ganados. The new knife system, including a fun and visually appealing parry system, adds another layer to this action masterpiece.

    There are a significant number of changes to the original design, mostly in additional objectives and side material. The map is now a little more open now allowing for Leon to backtrack and complete various side objectives for the merchant that reward new gear and items. The crafting system, attaché cases, and shooting range all received overhauls to make them more modern feeling and fresh. The crafting system is pulled directly from the new Resident Evils with the gunpowder and resources to craft which ammo you prefer.

    I have played through the original several times so was a little bummed to see some pulled sequences, the action set pieces are not 1 to 1 with the original. Just to name a few, there is no longer the runaway boulder, the giant Salazar statue, the lava/fire room, the Krauser knife fight, and most unfortunately the harrowing fight against the creature in the caves with the falling platforms that you had to beat. I understand some of these changes, most of these were quick time events that really had no place in a modern game. It just does kind of feel bad when a specific sequence you are anticipating isn't in the remake of a game, but it is easy to not let it affect your experience when the minute to minute action is so fun.

    My only other real gripe is that Leon's controls and movement feel a little wobbly and stunted at times. Leon does not exactly stop and turn on a dime in this game making him easy prey for the enemies charge attacks and makes it very difficult to dodge, dynamite, trip wires, or any of the other projectiles they throw at you.

    Overall, while I don't think it reaches the highs of the original or the excellence of the RE2 remake, this is a wonderful reimagining of on of the best games of all time.    … Expand

    An overall downgrade from the original accept graphics. Alltough the RE Engine has problems and looks incredibly cheap sometimes. Bad AI, lacking atmosphere, bad acting, modern gaming Last of us controlls and changes that didn't improve anything but only made things different.

I'm actually shocked to see this game getting review bombed, and how angry a lot of the user reviews are here. Gameplay is fantastic, guns feel good. Leon doesn't move clunky at all, and the controls (on PS5 at least) are smooth. The way Capcom changed things up but also kept them similar enough to be fresh and nostalgic/familiar at the same time was a really interesting experience. Some content was cut, some was added. People complaining as if tons was cut are simply lying. I'm thrilled with this, I think they knocked this remake out of the park. Any score below 6 is likely not being an honest reviewer. I'd be surprised if anyone giving this below a 5 has even played it. It's a fantastic remake, and a really great game. Highly recommend it.… Expand

    The reason i gave 7 is:

    1. You know, when you close to an enemy, you can perform a special knife attack by pressing R2, but if too close, that turns to normal attack, i died many times because of that.

    2. When an enemy is about to hit you, your attack on them may not interrupt their action.

    Awesome re-creation of the best Resident Evil in the series. Even better than the Resident Evil 2 remake. Played this more than any game this year. Can't wait to get back to it then I get back home. Must play for everyone (except toxic RE-fans).

    Dam good game. Best remake I have played in years. Have updated gaming mechanics while staying true to the source material. Capcom gave this the attention and detail it definitely required. Some small changes were made to the characters, story and setting but overall it was a great update to a masterpiece classic

The action based survival horror genre was made because of the OG RE4 and it makes sense that this game would come back 20 times stronger. The action was just absolutely great. The visuals and graphics are probably one of the best in the world right now, up there with Demon Souls and Red Dead 2, probably even better. My favorite part of the entire game was the sound design. Sound design in video games are so crucial and undervalued these days, it's great to see them accomplish what they did in this game. The sound of the footsteps walking in different terrains, the sounds of the guns shooting or reloading, the sound of the menu and navigating the UI, just an absolute ASMR fest with the sound.

    The same directors who directed RE2 remake also were the directors in this remake and it makes complete sense. The game gives you the ability to explore and figure things out at your own pace and gives you the ability to make your playthrough unique just like RE2 remake did. I loved every second of this game and after finishing it immediately jumped back in to a second playthrough for some more and it still feels fresh. Any game that can make me go back in and play a second time not too long after completion is a rare W.

    I see a ridiculous amount of 0s in ratings on this game from user reviews and it's actually embarrassing the amount of people who simply hate review just to be nuisance. Anyone giving this game a 0 is a joke. It's a survival horror - action game, anyone who complains about resource management in a video game shouldn't be playing RE games. Just saying. I'm willing to bet the majority of people who review bombed this were old boomers who can't let go of the past. If the game isn't EXACTLY how it was in the original they lose their minds and you can just tell by the things they say that's exactly who it is leaving bad reviews, actually cringe. They hate the fact that other people are enjoying a game they feel entitled to hate on. I played the OG game and I can honestly say this remake was a masterful job and yes they cut some stuff but they also added new stuff in it's place and made everything simply better. Voice acting on point, set pieces were great, just all around great stuff. STOP HATING BOOMERS.

    Best game for a while!!
    I play some of original re4 it just an okay game for me though due to the goofy tone that I personally unlike but with this remake it just an entire new perspective of the game it serious , scary and great action it even have a great replay value with game design pretty recommended for who still hesitate this will be a great experience for you.

    Such an amazing experience! Can't wait to play this over and over just like the original game. The characters, the story, the graphics made an overall great gaming experience. The only regret I have is not buying the deluxe version.

This game is a remake of the beloved classic from 2004, it takes what re4 did and replicates it in many ways, making it familiar but different. Like all games it won't be for everyone, and like all remakes we could persist with the debate of if the game even needed the remake treatment in the first place. But from the terrifying regenerators turning into iron maidens or the tower in the village collapsing in a surprising moment. This remake has twists and turns I never expected, and yes it has cuts but in their place are other things. This game is not a replacement for the game we loved or hated back in 2004 its a game to stand alongside it and be an alternative for those who want an updated or different experience. We shouldn't be throwing shade at capcom for one decision or another so early in the games launch, with mercenaries on the way, and separate ways still just speculation and rumors, there's so much more to put these bad reviews to shame, or even prove myself wrong. But I'm here for it, what's important to me is this game is a ton of fun and occupies my free time with carnage, horror, one liners, and a 80's b movie style story that I love to bits. Resident evil 4 is a game that deserves more than what it's being given.… Expand

    Put simply, RE4 didn't need to be remade. A simple graphical overhaul could be done, sure, but the gameplay in RE4 completely holds up. The first thing I did after I finished this remake was go start another playthrough of RE4 VR (which I maintain is still the superior version). This game left a bland taste in my mouth and overall it just feels like a cash-grab. Not a lazy cash-grab like the RE3 remake, but a cash-grab nonetheless.

    That's not to say the game is terrible or is not enjoyable. It has plenty of fun moments and it's interesting to see how they reimagined some things, but ultimately this fails to achieve what it strived for.    … Expand

    I like the Gameplay even if it's a bit clunkier and stiffer than the original. My biggest gripes and they are big is the lack of "presence" for both Salazar and Saddler. VA for all are weak across the board except Ashley. The radio dialogues from original really helped to maintain the Big baddies presence and here it's gutted. Also the saddler scene after Leon gets Ashley from church gone.I like the Gameplay even if it's a bit clunkier and stiffer than the original.     In my opinion the game is almost perfect it has a high replay value, great characters and a synchro that is just fun. The game manages to combine suspense and horror perfectly.
    And the dealer is the coolest person on the planet.

This remake brings significant gameplay improvements and a less whacky tone making it a better companion piece to the excellent Resi 2 remake. Characters are more likeable and well-rounded. Game is still a 20+ hour campaign without any bloat or filler. I played on Ps5 and found performance and visuals good overall. This is how a remake should be handled. With MOST games, positive and negative scores have pretty much always made sense (there's some exceptions, when launch has been poor).....until Resident Evil 4 Remake. This is the first actually very good game, that had actually solid launch, that is getting BRUTALLY review bombed FOR NO REASON.

    At the end of the day, this situation really is weird and hilarious at the same time. 750 negative reviews (at the moment) wouldn't actually be that bad, if there were more people willing to write positive reviews, but people seem to be really tired at the moment (maybe because of the full moon, idk lol) or they just don't care about this score at all and that would be the best option (or they are too busy enjoying the game). Realistically this PS5 version would need at least 2500 positive reviews (other versions even more) to go into "green" again and that's just not happening any time soon (sadly).

    I'm hardcore RE4 fan and i loved the Remake, so i'm kind of sad that this even happened, but that just shows how much crazier gamers are getting every single year. I'm sure soon every popular game will be review bombed into oblivion, because there's always some loser who is offended, wants to troll or gets angry because he can't look at Ashley's panties anymore.    … Expand

    un juego que roza lo excelente, los cambios realizados quedaron perfectos, logro hacer que partes aburridas o mas flojas como la isla se hagan mas llevaderas.
    Juego recomendado al 100, la version que jugue fue la de ps5 y corre excelente tanto en modo rendimiento como en calidad.

    The VA for Ada sounded like she was not interested in the game at all, i do not agree with people going into her social media accounts and insulting her, she was pretty bad at voice acting.
    They changed much of the dialogue and some of the outfits with some of the bonus outfits looking like trash and the censorship was bad. Please play the original if you want to experience the game.

    I think it's a great game. It's just as great and as flawed as the original in different ways. The graphics are great and the questionable elements of the story have been improved. However, the controls are clunky and Leon is extremely slow.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Other companies should take notes. THIS is how you are supposed to "modernize" a product. Modern controls, modern mechanics, modern graphics... NOT modern real life politics.

    The game is obviously different. Yet... it feels familiar. The spirit of the original is still there! Boss fights are improved (although one was cut out). Ashley finally resembles a human, is actually useful and is significantly less annoying to a point I wanted to rescue her. Luis got more screen time and the game's better for it.
    Remake even improved on what was seriously lacking in the OG - horror. It's still not a horror game (far cry from it's predecessors) but there are more scary parts, albeit not that scary.

    If you can’t enjoy this game it is probably because of one of the most petty reasons ever.

    Leon and Ada are the same trash models from RE2. Original RE4 and RE6 Leon and Ada models are SO MUCH better. Remember when Capcom kept making new models for every new RE game but no one cared because they were all amazing? It's a good thing to have the same models returning but only when they are good, the thing is that Leon and Ada from RE2 are trash. Luis and Wesker models are trash too. They took everything that made those characters cool.

    The voice of acting of those characters are also terrible. RE voice acting was great in the late 2000s, back when every character looked and sounded memorable. What happened? We know using the same things again isn't a issue for Capcom, as they have been using many of the assets they created for RE7 in every single new RE game, and that's why the new RE games look so cheap. So why not use the same voice actors from the past? Those cheap **** are trying to save as much money as possible, no wonder most of the new RE games are mostly just a copy and paste. Same trash art style for every single new RE game, same trash character models, same assets for 4 games in a row. But they can't bring back the voices that made those characters popular, no, that's too much for them. Maybe they are trying to save money with that too, and it's less expensive to bring new people to do the voice acting, who knows.

    But of course dudes are giving 10 to this trash, because they don't understand gaming. This is just the new generation, the same dogs who think Fortnite is good, they don't know when a game is actually good because they haven't played any.

    Gun sounds are terrible. Amount of cut content are terrible. Leon movement animations are terrible.

    Leon in the original was extremely stylish like Dante, literally every single animation of Leon was created to make him as stylish and cool as possible, which suited his personality very well. Now Leon personality is changed to worse, and theres literally 0 stylish things about him, even the spinning kick looks dumb as **** but his movement is just the worst.

    This game is going to be hyped for about 2 months and then everyone is going to forget about it, it will never be a classic that people kept playing for 20 years like the original.    … Expand

    Great remake overall, just not perfect. Definitely a strong Resident Evil title. Can't wait for the next.

    The story of the game is a mediocre story, the gameplay is very enjoyable and attractive, in terms of visuals, it is equal to Cross Gen 2023 games and has a stunning visual, the main boss fights are very similar to each other. The sound design of the game is wonderful, the enemies have a good variety and only one new type of enemy has been added to the remake compared to the original version.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake not only does right by its original source of inspiration, but it also sets a high bar for what modern day remakes can be. All components of the story have been finetuned into a more well-thought out package, and that’s before mentioning the game’s full use of today’s graphical prowess to deliver a more terrifying interpretation of rural Spain. The core gameplay also retains what made it so great back in the day, but with modern amenities such as a parrying system, quick-select for weapons and the ability to run. And despite the new improvements, the increased aggressiveness of the enemies ensures that the game never feels like a cakewalk. I don’t know who still needs to be convinced at this point, but Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
