    As everyone already knows, over 90% of actual real gamers love this remake and most people agree, that it's big improvement over already great original. Also everyone is laughing at these losers who are trying to review bomb this game, with their fake accounts lmao. RE4R won and you losers lost, it's over :)))))).

    All I have to say is wow what a game. I very rarely give out 10/10 when i review games but they knocked this game out of the park. The next gen graphics, the gameplay, the story and voice acting(ok except for Ada) was all perfectly done. I can pop this baby in at any time and play the heck out of it and enjoy it every time. The attention to detail in this game is mind blowing from enemies being smarter and reacting to you aiming your gun to the sound affects when shooting, also the way Leon holds his weapons because he is well trained is great. The boss battles are epic and i love some of the additions they added to this remake. Been playing Resident Evil games since i was a kid and this is definitely in my top 5, i just wish they did 3 better like they did with 2 and 4. Can i just pray that they do a Code Veronica remake next. Putting this game in my hall of fame!… Expand

    That is one of the greatest games I've ever played, they nailed . Capcom did an amazing job making parts from the original better. The cut content I think will be released in a future DLC, so no worries, I that's the bets Capcom remake so far. What I liked about that game was the new mechanics, new weapon effects and mobility and has a good replay factor.

The dialogue has been improved, making it less comical/cheesy to be more in the same vein as the previous remakes and tone that most Resident Evil games have.     El juego es muy bueno graficamente su sistema de juego igual, esta al nivel tecnicamente. Recomendado si quieres jugar una version mejorada al original. Pero no es 100% fiel al original, es un 80% ya que hay muchos cambios en la historia principal y me desagrada un poco.

    Look, if you likes resident evil village then you will like resident evil 4 remake, the similarities with the two games in terms of visuals and gameplay is there to see.

    Overall this is a solid game, been a fan of the resident evil franchise since I was a kid and its great seeing how the games have evolved over the years.     Fantastic remake. I'm a huge fan of the original, and I think this 2023 game delivers. It is magnificent, the rhythm and the fights are intense. I was skeptical about the side quests at first, but ultimately they're welcome breathers. In short, all good!

    This is game is amazing. Really fun and lot of re-playability. Capcom did pull the old trick of introducing microtransactions after the games comes out, but this doesn't hinder the game. For example games that usually have microtransactions have their in game economy completely unfair towards the player making them grind countless hours, however in this game it's not like that. Weapons feels awesome to use with lot of impact (shotguns and magnums etc). Yeah pretty much this is really good package. There still some issues game like with hitboxes and invisible corners that needs fixing.… Expand

Platinum trophy requires 6 play-throughs which is a joke. The girl (already forgotten her name) is as annoying as my ex-wife. Leon's one-liners are mis-placed in an otherwise serious game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is easily the best entry out of the Resident Evil remakes. The game does a great job of balancing both horror and action with of course a dip of cheesiness. The gameplay itself is entertaining, I really enjoyed going around kicking infected villagers in the face while Leon said some cheesy one-liners. I enjoyed exploring the map and learning the lore of the village while doing the small little side quests for The Merchant which was a nice addition. The story was somewhat engaging with my only complaint being I wish some characters were fleshed out a little, especially Saddler who if I'm being honest is just another generic villain. Thankfully Krauser takes center stage as the villain for a certain amount of time which helps me forgive the generic main villain problem. Other characters such as Ada and Luis were super fun to watch and even fight alongside, making for some memorable moments. Ashley however was a stand-out, thankfully making her less of a damsel in distress and more of a partner in a tag team dynamic. Compared to the original, it doesn't land some of the same marks but the new and refreshing changes help make this remake feel completely new and familiar, and with those changes, there was nothing to cause me to throw a hissy fit. Overall it’s a fun Resident Evil game and I’ll say it regardless of the user score, I loved it and I personally think this is the definitive way to play RE4. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions so there's mine.

    Side note: I finished the game right before the micro transactions and mercenary update which if I’m being honest just never really interested me but I’m happy they threw it in for the people that did ask for it. I do hope they add Separate Ways soon because I LOVED this Ada and thought the voice actor did a wonderful job making her mysterious and intriguing and I would like to see more.    … Expand

The issue is that you have to run all the time, when you let go of the run button Leon walks almost stopping or completely breaking the rhythm and immersion.     Amazing game really worth it tons of replay options. It’s even better than the original. Amazing story and Adventure. Perfect Mix Of horror and Action. Would definitely Recommend to Anyone A fan of the Franchise. You can even Swap the soundtrack with the classic with Deluxe Edition!

So for me this game stands alone by itself, without comparing it to the original. I really enjoyed every moment of it, except for Ada's new voice.     Resident Evil 4 Remake is a masterpiece. I've never thought a remake could be this good (I've played the original game). The first 10-20 minutes of the game is the most exciting and thrilling thing you could ever imagine. You walk around the area then you found out there is some crazy villager in the area then you get to a huge village then thrill ride begins.

    Not only that but they take some iconic parts of the original, throw in some RE engine magic and from a plain and boring section of the game into "man i remembered this thing used to be a long path to the next section". A good example would be the Mendez boss fight. In the original you shoot the guy but the remake you shoot the guy then his body is separated he grabs on to the burning house throwing stuff at you. Pair this with the new mechanic and it's just the best thing you could experience.

    [im not saying the original is bad here but these expanded section is extremely fun]

    The only downside of the game is that ashley tend to get stuck when walking through complex maps and stuff. AND OF COURSE cut content. U3 was cut from the game so don't expect that.

    Before you buy the game consider this:

    This won't be that much of a Survival-horror game like RE2 remake the game is much much more action packed but still have that item management.

    One of the beast games ever. RE4 improves in almost everything. Just some details, but the full experience is exactly how the OG game was. A masterpiece.

    Jogo excelente! mas deveria ter mudado algumas coisas básicas, por exemplo: Munição dropando de inimigos que não usam armas de fogo, pegar munição em barris e caixas, aqueles baús também espalhados em qualquer canto é sem nexo, ( dentro de uma casa ok. ) Leon, carregar um arsenal consigo e sacar os equipamentos do nada, enfim... detalhes legais assim como em Red Dead Redemption.

The remake stays pretty faithful to its predecessor, it uses the re engine to create what feels like an updated re4 experience pulling the camera a bit further away from leon, the stealth element is pretty cool and the game itself looks great and improves on the lack of horror elements in the original. It's not perfect by any means and I'm being generous with my rating because of a few things.

    I love how luis had more of a role to play in the remake, in the original he kinda came and went so I felt nothing when he died. This game has you spend more time with him before he dies and the way they killed him off made more sense as well.

    The Krauser knife fight was a major improvement over the qte cutscene in the original, made for a more interactive experience and is a good refresher on the games parrying mechanic.

    Mercenaries being a free update rather than a paid dlc was a good move on their part, this game would have gotten a 5 had it been pay to own.

    The things that keep it from being a 10 to me are the following.

    Censorship of dialog used in the original, the pandering to this soft ass generation will be the downfall of good storytelling in time, mark my words.

    Cut areas and boss fights, the forked path after the cabin standoff removed, u-3 removed, laser corridor removed, Salazar statue chase removed, lava room removed, the bulldozer standoff was pretty lame in the remake and can be totally skipped with 2 grenades. Assignment Ada and separate ways are gone (I'm sure they'll make a paid dlc for this later).

    The content that was cut obviously didn't completely destroy the game, however I can't support releasing a game in pieces when the original bundled it all together. If separate ways like the mercenaries is a free update to the game then I will update this to a score of 9 later on.

    Anyways that's just one gamers opinion, it's solid but expect changes and cuts but not nearly to the extent or re3make, have fun with it and remember, the 2005 original isn't going anywhere.    … Expand

    Jogo sensacional. Vale cada centavo. Jogabilidade excelente. Gráficos lindos, história envolvente. Não gosto muito da franquia mas esse jogo foi o melhor que já joguei até hj.

They removed the Separate Ways mode with Ada, Assigment Ada as well. The game is very bad the crosshairs are no longer laser and the recoil of the weapons are exaggerated the crosshairs go up to the sky nothing to see this does not exist in real life. Resident Evil 2 3 and 4 remake follow the same pattern, right? It's the same bad pattern, the same bad gameplay sometimes terrible and annoying. These games now are not like the ones they used to be. Resident Evil 1 remake remains the best in the series as well as as good as the original Resident Evil 4 is so much so that the original's world score is now at 96 worldwide considering the current remake's score is lowering players' scores worldwide . The gameplay is boring, they took a lot of locations and monsters from the original game. The game is terrible, very bad unfortunately I don't recommend it... Congratulations Shinji Mikami for the Resident Evil classics until Resident Evil 4 original version of 2005 after that only failure of Capcom. I prefer Dead Space!… Expand

    Fun, but unfortunately it mischaracterized some important aspects of the classic game a lot, mainly Leon, he went from being a badass guy who beats up statues and lasers to a normal guy with some military training.

    It is not a perfect game, There are a lot of things the original did better specially Ramon Salazar and Sadler.
    I don't think the game balances correctly
    between being goofy and taking itself seriously as much as the original did.
    The most important thing is... the game is FUN.

    This game is technically amazing in many ways. The game play, boss mechanics, map design, enemy variability and graphics are all excellent. The escort missions with Ashley make this game stand out from other Resident Evil games and give it a unique style of play. However, I did not find Resident Evil 4 scary and the storyline was forgetful.

    Probably the most overrated remake to come out in quite some time. The original came out almost twenty years ago and it pulled off the narrative better than this. Ada looks extremely adolescent, the blood is rubbery looking, and it doesn't have the grit from the original title. The parry is rubbish and absolutely unnecessary.     Das Original fand ich nicht so gut. Das remake gefällt mir schon viel mehr. Das Spiel macht Spaß unterhält mich für mich eine acht von zehn klar, es hat Schwächen jedoch überwiegen die Stärken von daher absolute Kaufempfehlung

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have beaten the og re4 over 20 times, and it’s one of the best games I’ve played. Even after that, I can say this game is better. This remake is easily the best video game remake ever, and the only way people can say the original is better is because they’re blinded by nostalgia. The gameplay, atmosphere, characters, controls, graphics, story, enemy design, boss battles, weapon variety, and soundtrack are all better in this game than the original. The island is the most improved area, and all 3 sections in this game are a 10/10 for me. The microtransactions are harmless, and the game has so much replay value that is doesn’t feel like a grind fest trying to unlock things. U3 is not in the main story, but I feel that he will be added in Separate Ways, because the original one was a letdown and did not have much variety. He was also one of the scariest parts of the original and one of my personal favorite fights, but the game got so much added to it that I don’t mind him not being in the main story. Salazar and Saddler’s boss fights were the weakest in the original, and both got improved a lot. Also, I love all the new costumes and accessories they added. The only complaint I have is about bugs like backgrounds not fully loading sometimes until you get closer or vases and boxes being put back even when in broken pieces after you break them, and you can see the broken pieces not touching each other even though it’s supposed to look like it got put back together. I have been a Resident Evil fan for over 15 years, and I am so happy that they continue to improve their games. Dev 1 is the best horror development team of all time now after making 4 masterpieces in RE7, RE2 Remake, RE8, and RE4 Remake.… Expand

    Vraiment excellent. Je suis fun fan du jeu original, je le fais chaque année. Et donc mes attentes ont été difficile à contenter. Mais il a quasi réussi.
    C'est simple, ce jeu a été fait par un fan qui connait les subtilités du jeu original mais aussi celles des speedrunners.

Combat is mostly engaging and frantic Leon feels slow instead of agile but using duck and using a timed parry feels rewarding. Merchant system is well implemented. My first playthrough took 27 hours- decent length. Largely well done remake of my favorite game with a few imperfections. IGood atmosphere.     The reason I put it such a low score is how Leon meets Ada, also her voice is so horrible to hear. originally it was so epic and awesome but you can't do this nowadays because the USA audience is so uneducated. Game it self 10/10

    They change the merchant and add the trade section which made do the side quest more useless and they also change how the treasures work and add the mechanic which you have to combine the treasure to make it more valuable
    The only thing negative that I have to say is sometimes the 3rd person camera “shrink” when a enemy is near you and is difficult to shot the enemy
    I suggest you yo play this game on ps5 or Xbox Series X because on old gen the environment textures are bad and most of time they don’t load
    Overall they changed a lot and made the remake better than the original and I recommend this game to you    … Expand

Set pieces were crucial to strength of Resi 4, and when the 1st Village encounter was far worse here in the Remake, I was    Game is mostly Polished & tight, But its sadly missing any soul or magic from the original Resi 4.
    There are countless great set pieces that are balanced to perfection in the original, but when replicated in the remake, most of those set pieces don't even come close. Set pieces were crucial to strength of Resi 4, and when the 1st Village encounter was far worse here in the Remake, I was deeply worried.
    Just the basic combat encounter design alone is no way near as strong as the original.
    It's take skill, vision, balancing & tuning to make fun shooter combat, but Capcom has often failed in that regard.
    You also get enemies who appear & grab you from behind with no indication, frequent generic combat, and some bosses that will exploit that the player doesn't have an always availble dodge move.

    The Music is far worse, and most of the new characters are bad ( except for the Merchant who is still good.)

    There's long periods of down time just traversing, which shows problems with pacing. This game is about 10 hours longer than the original, and they filled that extended length with padding, bad puzzles, long boring traversal and general filler.

    I played Resi 4 - 3 times just 2 months ago to prepare and be able to make a comparison. I'm now half way though my 2nd playthrough of the Remake and I'm sort of bored allready.

    Score is a 4, but I’m giving it a 0 - as a tactical counter to the lying cultists who give this unworthy game anything above an 7.    … Expand

    Decent graphics on top of almost 20y old game. Theres so much shooting that you got tired of it in the last stages of the game. But if you just run through zombies, the game is just short corridor shooter.

This is twice as good. I KNOW THE MICROTRANSACTION debacle is suuuuper greedy, gross, and plain out rude. I know the CUT CONTENT is atrocious. I know the humor is left for more seriousness. I know ADA sounds like she’s holding her nose closed. I know adding the handcannon to mercenaries soooo easily win-able is a SLAP in the face to people who grind at these games for rewards... ALL that said... does that really mess with the CORE gameplay!?? NOPE!! The aiming is buttery smooth.. there are tons of enemies, a few good jump scares, amazing crafting and sorting and treasures to find... there are so many bosses.. like at least 8... and number one... THEY MAKE THE HUD DISAPPEAR!! Sooooooo many games like Atomic Heart and Dead Island 2 HAAAAVE to have the HUD up and it’s sooo immersion breaking. The motion capture is great, the lip sync capture is the world’s WORST, I only encountered 2 glitches with enemies falling up back onto a balcony.. love the sidequests though they’re pretty cheesy and simple. The puzzles were great. Played HARDCORE my first time and spent 37 HOURS taking it all in trying to find every treasure. Beats Dead Space and Horizon FW in some rights... totally addicted for 3 weeks.. people crying or whining about difficulty need to just play on standard or assisted... chalk it up and go home to mommy. HARDCORE was PERFECTLY balanced. Took me 5 times for chainsaw man, 2 times for the fish, probably 8 times for the chainsaw sisters, 10 times for the bladed brutes, 5 times for the Verdugo, 2, 5, 2, 2 times for Krauser encounters, about 15 tries at Salazar, and finally TWICE for Saddler. I LIKE THAT!!! No cheats, only a tiny bit research for two bosses, that’s it. That’s the way a game is supposed to be made. It’s like a movie but you’re in it. Who cares about the first game? Not me? I played like 10 hours of it when I was 17? Pfft. Just buy it now or on sale and take it all in, you’ll love it!!… Expand

    The story of the game is a mediocre story, the gameplay is very enjoyable and attractive, in terms of visuals, it is equal to Cross Gen 2023 games and has a stunning visual, the main boss fights are very similar to each other. The sound design of the game is wonderful, the enemies have a good variety and only one new type of enemy has been added to the remake compared to the original version.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake not only does right by its original source of inspiration, but it also sets a high bar for what modern day remakes can be. All components of the story have been finetuned into a more well-thought out package, and that’s before mentioning the game’s full use of today’s graphical prowess to deliver a more terrifying interpretation of rural Spain. The core gameplay also retains what made it so great back in the day, but with modern amenities such as a parrying system, quick-select for weapons and the ability to run. And despite the new improvements, the increased aggressiveness of the enemies ensures that the game never feels like a cakewalk. I don’t know who still needs to be convinced at this point, but Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
