    Скучная, душная игра. По факту тоже самое, что и петвая часть. Реально крупных новвоведений минимум, разве что игра за Атрея чувствуется по-новому, самые интересные моменты связаны с этой частью прохождения. Бесит постоянное нытье и самокопание персонажей, они постоянно сомневаются в себе, постоянно ссорятся. По итогу самыми интересными являются второстепенные персонажи, как Брок с Синдри,Скучная, душная игра. По факту тоже самое, что и петвая часть. Реально крупных новвоведений минимум, разве что игра за Атрея чувствуется по-новому, самые интересные моменты связаны с этой частью прохождения. Бесит постоянное нытье и самокопание персонажей, они постоянно сомневаются в себе, постоянно ссорятся. По итогу самыми интересными являются второстепенные персонажи, как Брок с Синдри, Труд. Мимир постоянно трындит без умолку, ты не можешь просто почилить плывя на лодочке. Бои не изменились, такие же перекаты, блоки и юзнание разных рун, Кратос все также не умеет прыгать, что разнообразило бы механику. Спутников можно прокачивать глубже, появились новые стрелы и приемы, ничего особого. Сам мир стал больше, всяких загадок, сайдквестов навалили гору, но это не оч хорошо, просто утомляют. Графика не сильно улучшилась, некоторые локации, ассеты, анимации перекочевали из прошлой игры без изменений. Не знаю, скучно стало на середине игры. Финал так вообще разочаровал, тухлый эпик, очень много соплей и болтовни в духе "ты можешь стать лучше", не этим мне нравился Кратос и вся серия. Очень воняло соевостью дабы не допустить никакой чрезмерной жести (что странно), никакого шока или вот-это-поворота. Очень стериально получилось. Не хочу продолжения в таком же духе, ну его в жопу.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I would give the first re-GoW an 8. Plagued by mechanics that make the game as unenjoyable as possible, it was the best reinventing of a franchise I have ever played. Unlike so many games like it, though I left it installed, I never went back because I dreaded the gameplay. Ragnarok is not a brilliant reimagining, it is the exact same game, and they doubled down on the unenjoyable game mechanics. It is criminal that this game is ranked this highly. I have no idea why anybody would unless they have a GoW tattoo or hurt themselves for amusement.

    Then there was navigating the trash world. VAnaheim was one of the most painful walking around experiences I have ever had in a game. I spent hours trying to get to places I could see, but there was a bush. One I needed to get to a plateau with four adjacent islands that could possibly be the way, plus night and day variations in the foliage, and it was a boat landing with a door behind a waterfall.

    1. Obviously, the worst and mostly widely panned (is that camera humor?) is the camera. Instead of being immersive, it forces me to meta game, which is the opposite of immersive and never ideal. (I switch between auto-target+ for large groups of enemies that lets you switch to targets off screen since the camera is always stuck and then turn it off for bosses especially in pairs)
    2. Healing before bosses is done as follows: run at the boss and die. There is no healing up unless you are dead. Maybe there is another solution, but this easy, not fun, and ridiculous.
    3. Healing after a tough fight. Nope. Did you just have a jaw clenching battle to the death, then rebirth, and then almost death? Sweet, right? Sorry, though. You just wasted your time. There is no mechanic to come back from that. So many times I get a surprise bad guy that does tiny damage or a poison dot that kills me after a tough fight since you can't heal unless you are fighting or get lucky.
    4. I am not done yet, but one female character's development is ridiculous. She's real mad then providing you motivation and wiping your butt for you five minutes later. L another goes from trying to kill Loki to calling him her daughters friend and colluding to order her father-in-law.
    5. The puzzles are monotonous. With some tweaking (at least the stupid sounding pick to get through the doors is gone) this has the same puzzles.
    6. The ending of the game could be replaced with a Vin Diesel “family” meme.
    7. The camera pulling even with auto aim turned off is ridiculously obnoxious when trying to complete a challenge that involves aim under fire. You can pause and go into settings and change aim settings to include puzzle objects then turn it off when it’s over so you don’t have to toggle through objects during combat the rest of the time. This is definitively bad design.
    8) The last optional boss and one other have an ability that negates an entire play style. If you were playing ranged, change all your gear and settings. You have to be in close and aggressive melee range to stop the blue ring ability that is the entire arena.

    I dropped it down now that I beat it, and started playing Elden Ring again. It is legitimately less frustrating than GoW, and Elden Ring has buckets of issues.    … Expand

    A fun romp back into the world of the 2018 game. Not that much has changed in gameplay mechanics but a rich story does evolve. I thought this game was better than its predecessor but I do wish they would do more with combat.

But we could have had so much more. Many plot points from the previous game are left ignored and the final few boss fights were some of the simplest in the franchise. I felt underwhelmed by the final act as it left too much on the table.… Expand

    One of the best games I’ve ever played. Story was good , gameplay felt better then 2018’s graphics were so good but only thing I didn’t liked was that ending felt a bit rush but still it was amazing.

    Please make your npcs shut the hell up. This game is literally hand hold simulator. Deveiopers treat u like baby. They do not believe the player can solve simple puzzle or notice any detail on screen!

If you have access to this game, I highly recommend playing it. I also recommend the 2018 game. Ragnarok knows that its a sequel, it gives more innovation to follow the previous entry, without ever reinventing the wheel. Amazing game. The story was a great send off to these characters and their journey that the previous entry introduced us to, all the characters had clear personality and motives due to the superb writing and voice acting.     Kratos felt neutered in this game, while the spotlight shifts towards Atreus. Honestly, the Kratos of the original trilogy feels completely gone now.     The story was unbearably slow in parts (mostly Atreus parts) while the characterization of certain gods felt strange. It was more boring than a GoW game should be. It even felt like more of a walking simulator than the first game. Room -> fight -> squeeze thru a crack in the wall -> walking while talking -> another crack -> another fight. Rinse and repeat.

    I would have appreciated some more innovation to make this feel like more of a sequel instead of an expansion. It's the same game but worse.    … Expand

    Great game. A continuation of the previous entry which was fantastic as well. The mechanics and overall gameplay will feel very similar to the last game with alterations for the better. Overall the game doesn't reinvent the wheel but sticks to what the first game was good at and takes it up a couple notches. As some other reviews noted, there is a bit of a pacing issue at the end with a somewhat rushed feeling but it did not impact my feelings for the game, and may have been done purposely to try to put forth a sense of urgency, which is not a bad thing. The side quests actually feel like the mean something and add to the story, each one feels like it was meant to be completed and not just filler. The supporting cast is good and acting is great overall. I have played a lot of video games, especially rpg and action adventure games, and this one is up there in my top 10 for sure. An additional item to note, the reviews with 0 should not be trusted, while I have no problem with people not liking a game or it not being their favorite (there are plenty of games I dont like that are very well reviewed), 0 is just review bombing or something else.… Expand

    The game is the continuation of the Norse story told in 2018's GoW. The story is very good and one of the most compelling reasons to play the game. Beyond story the graphics, combat, and general game play are very good. If you have not played 2018's GoW I would recommend starting there and then playing this. Fantastic all around.

Switching to Story difficulty for bosses fixed it, but normal combat was too easy. In this state not enjoyable as combat is a huge portion of the game. Played Elden Ring and had fun. But in my opinion in GOW it is just bad combatTerrible combat and balancing, destroyed most fun for me.     The continuation of the last game, bringing a lot of adventure, great gameplay, the sensors for PS5 were very good, and bringing the possibility of playing with Atreus was one of the points that I liked the most.

    From the gameplay to the acting and graphical performance of this game, everything is just truly outstanding. One of the few games to actually get me emotional towards the end, not to mention want to continue playing well past the end credits. An absolute masterpiece.

    Sembra ormai una serie tv, l'ombra del fantastico gioco che era GOW prima del 2018.     GOW 3 resta il top, questo potrebbe meritare anche un 7 e mezzo, ma è da punire, perché dal 2018 non hanno imparato nulla, a differenza di ciò che dicono gli youtuber e la varia gente pagata (è pagata anche se non viene pagata direttamente, le copie, gli inviti, le anteprime etc ti fanno fare soldi), non cambia nulla dal 2018, ci sono solo 1 arma nuova e qualche abilità, e a livello dei nemici la varietà è solo apparente, sono skin, tolti i miniboss che sono praticamente 4 ripetuti alla nausea, altro che "hanno imparato dagli errori e adesso non ci sono più sempre i troll ripetuti" (e i troll ripetuti ci sono pure -.-).
    La verità è che ora non vedi solo troll ripetuti ma altri 4 5 nemici, e il gioco è così lungo che li vedi 40 volte a testa e li uccidi sempre con la stessa animazione, la grande "varietà".
    Ormai non ci si può fidare di nessuno, compratelo a 20 euro e ne sarete contenti.    … Expand

    Das Spiel ist eine 10/10. Kein Spiel hatte mich bisher so in den Bann gezogen. Besonders die Musik ist unfassbar gut und besonders mit guten Boxen wirklich beeindruckend. Wie du Charakter mit einer sprechen wirkt Natürlich, nicht so wie in anderen spielen, wo ich mir andauernd denke, so würde keiner mit einander reden. Die Entwicklung der Charaktere ist verblüffend. Wenn man denDas Spiel ist eine 10/10. Kein Spiel hatte mich bisher so in den Bann gezogen. Besonders die Musik ist unfassbar gut und besonders mit guten Boxen wirklich beeindruckend. Wie du Charakter mit einer sprechen wirkt Natürlich, nicht so wie in anderen spielen, wo ich mir andauernd denke, so würde keiner mit einander reden. Die Entwicklung der Charaktere ist verblüffend. Wenn man den Charakteren am Gesicht ablesen kann, was sie gerade denken, dann hat das Studio alles richtig gemacht. Die Story ist wundervoll und spannend.

    Jeder der die Möglichkeit hat, dieses Spiel zu spielen sollte das tun!

    I haven't even played it yet, or watched, or read anything on the story yet, I just know it's good, the last one was so this one will be to... In terms of technical prowess, this game is undisputed the best I ever seen. I really didn't experienced any major bugs and the ones I did were just 100% irrelevant.

    However, the down point in my opinion is the underwhelming decisions with some characters, such as Thor, which I think should 've played a much bigger role inside the story (He basically just was a minion of Odin and drunk on the free time, not giving me the feeling of a real enemy during the most part of the game). Moreover, the final sequence of events should 've been more spaced from each other, leaving more time to build some really epic ending to the Ragnarok theme .

    Besides that, this game is a masterpiece and it still was pretty much what I expected from a sequel on the franchise. Just got my platinum trophy on aprox. 50 hours.    … Expand

    This version can be crazy hard but overall it's worth it. Making changes to the difficulty level has increased the experience for me. I LOVE IT, and highly recommend this game to any GOW fan or newbie.

Not to mention, even with the helpful hints that story mode gives you, some players would not figure it out very easily. I know that is the point of the whole thing, but, to captivate a new audience, there should be a bit more helping for the "give me a story" option. Also, with thatIt's a good game.     Best game I've ever played. The graphics are impeccable and the story is just as good. Like most gamea there are some minor bugs but with just how amazing every other aspect of this game is, it's hard not to give it a perfect score. If I was able to I would give this game a 12/10.

Although the game maintains its excellent gameplay from the previous game by making small changes, it maintains the same good graphics as the previous game, I feel that the difficulty went down a bit, I feel that the narrative also went down a bit, leaving many characters in the dark and downplaying some (Jörmungandr, Odin, Thor, Hraesvelgr, Loki, Forseti, Tyr, etc) I feel that although the fights with the Berserkers are quite entertaining and apply that level of difficulty that the story lacks, they leave a lot to be desired. to be desired compared to the Valkyries, I also feel that the Physical Appearance of some Gods like Odin and Heimdall leave a lot to be desired, as well as the fight with Thor and Freya, which are not the most epic that one would expect. Although I liked the game a lot despite the fact that Platinum was very easy, I feel that Cory Barlog set the bar so high with the previous game (God of War 2018), that it was impossible to fail with this game no matter how bad or good it was. outside.… Expand

    Really enjoyed the extension of the new look God of War. I think they were robbed at the game awards too. For me this was game of the year. It's very accessible to everyone and really just stuck true to the formula the first one created so well. I will admit they didn't blow me away with anything new. I missed big chunks of story line because it was completely dry and maybe rushed. It got tiring of battle than puzzle repeat. I know that’s kinda the games thing. But change up some things. Kratos just seemed to give up any spirit of himself you should have just killed him off at the end. Playing as the kid, what’s his name again? Loki? Atraus? I was slugging through that boredom. I don’t have the effort to write more on the subject. The battling was the same as last time. Not much original thought going into this. I feel bad even writing this but it was a huge waste of my money. Lower the price and quick!… Expand

    First of all I have been a fan of God of war franchise since the beginning and really liked gow 4 however Ragnarok is a different story. I am not a fan of the insertion of modern politics in media and entertainment but and it has unfortunately infected this beloved franchise. As much as I anticipated this game (bought a PS5 because of it) I actually wish I skipped this one. Disappointing.

    Amazing game! Amazing cast! Amazing storyline! Each character has grown since the last one. Combat takes what was amazing previously and adds more to it. Visuals are stunning! I don't know why people are hating on this but if you are a fan of the God of War series since the beginning like myself then buy it and play it! I've been streaming it on twitch and just can't put it down.

    Adottando una visuale di gioco troppo vicino a Kratos ho riscontrato due problemi:la perdita della visione d'insieme dell'azione e un fastidiosissimo punto cieco dove i nemici non sono visibili.
    La narrazione, seppur con un magistrale doppiaggio in italiano, è forzatamente lunga,tediosa ed ampollosa( fatto amplificato dall'impossibilità di saltare i filmati)non ha saputo coinvolgermi, l'esplorazione dei vari mondi ben caratterizzati,risulta molto guidata su binari con livelli molto lineari.

    The game became much bigger, added new mechanics and a lots of new stuff.
    Although there is quite a few flaws: navigating is broken, sound effects became less prominent and epic. Also story line ended too quickly and kind a bland.
    Overall game is great and worth playing.
    I've got platinum trophy in 55 hours.

The acting is superb for both the returning cast as well as some wonderful new additions like Odin, Thor, and Thrud. Story is definitely the highlight of this journey and it doesn't disappoint in the slightest, nor does the incredible gameplay with boss fights so incredible my jaw often dropped in complete amazement. There's little more I can say without venturing into spoilers, other than every aspect of this game was perfect. A tight and complete story, a whole new form of exploration, an amazing cast I found myself emotionally invested into, expanded combat, and a soundtrack that stands above many others. To put it simply it’s a great story overall to experience that I won’t spoil further.    Let me start by saying, this is ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I have played.

    One the story front, it’s a direct continuation of the 2018 God of War game. So the initial moments does feel like the game you have already played, but once it takes off and new game-play elements are introduced it just feels fresh. To put it simply it’s a great story overall to experience that I won’t spoil further. The game is a graphical powerhouse on PS5, some designs like the Frozen Lake of Nine, Sindri's House, The Wall in Asgard etc are standout in my memory. Game play is total fun, some light puzzle elements for cool down time and the hack-slash combat is so much enjoyable to play. It really improves over the first game with lots of new enemy types, boss and mini-boss battles. Game has very nice difficult setting (I Played on Normal / Give me Balance) where the enemies provide a decent challenge, but if you do fair amount of Side missions / Favors and get gear upgrades, enemies are lot easier to defeat. The climax sequence for some non-stop action, that was epic. Main background score is retained from last game, which was great already hence no complaints. It’s a game with lots of cinematic elements where you see lots of cut-scenes, QTE in between which I enjoy actually; I understand some people may not like these.

    There are a couple of missions where we play as Atreus that slightly drags and feels lengthy, which is the only complaint for me in this game. But in the overall scheme of things, it’s minor and negligible.

    Just like the previous game, loved the way the side missions / favors are designed where you don't have go too much out of your path to play these and are nicely fit into the Areas you visit during story missions. Another great thing is the game’s attention the Lore. People who have read about Norse mythology will appreciate the game even more. All the dialogues during our travel between missions add so much detail and importance to the story, something which I truly admired.

    Overall it’s a fantastic journey to experience on the PS5. If you are a fan of the 2018 game, just do yourself a favor and BUY THIS GAME RIGHT NOW!    … Expand

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war.     Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
