    Unbelievable how bad this game is...poor itemization, boring loot drops, same rollercoaster for 90 levels, horrid lag and performance issues. Devs missed basically every single mark for a good arpg. Its also obvious this was forced out before the Microsoft sale....just puke

    Game optimization on open NPC is very bad my graphic card is on fire. Battle Pass Acceleration have a emote... I can't buy acceleration for only a emote, i have time to complete the pass.

    Never been so disappointed, as a huge fan for almost two decades, diablo2 is my one of my first games, love it and d2r even now. But now days, these so called new games, has completely lost sense about designing. Once the company made of people full of passion to game is gone, only money grabbing goblin and zzzq freaks remains.

    Biggest disappointment in my life with any game in 20 years.

    U have bar for only 4 spells, world is scaling so u just getting weaker, end game sucks, campaign sucks, combat is so boring, items have BS stats that make no sense and i can continue. Graphics are only decent thing i guess. Just dont buy it, dont waste your money and time, game objectivly sucks in almost every aspect, only    Biggest disappointment in my life with any game in 20 years.

    刚玩没几天，bd都还没刷完，更新前伤害1w4一箭，更新完只剩1w了，而且之前可以站在怪堆里洗澡，更新后超级脆，摸两下就死了

    Endgame is boring, uber Lilith power level is above the curve and you must build specific to challange her. Nightmare dungeons are boring and scale badly to player level.
    Resistances are broken, its assumed to be broken, and isn't on radar to be checked, only form of defense is armor, and not all classes have access to a lot of armor.
    One class ( sorcerer ) despite being the most played    Endgame is boring, uber Lilith power level is above the curve and you must build specific to challange her. Nightmare dungeons are boring and scale badly to player level.
    Resistances are broken, its assumed to be broken, and isn't on radar to be checked, only form of defense is armor, and not all classes have access to a lot of armor.
    One class ( sorcerer ) despite being the most played ( according to them ), is nothing compared to others, are glass cannons without the cannon.
    Open world is a joke, during campaign it had a meaning to explore and find stuff, but non-campaign quests give no plausible reward and randon mobs on the open world isn't worth farming. On endgame, you just teleport to your dungeon.
    You cant replay campaign bosses/maps unless you start a new char.
    Inventory space is not enough to keep more then a couple of spare parts of gear, gems, aspects, etc.
    And then, there comes S1 patch notes, that made everything worse, even some stuff that was working.    … Expand

From the sweet patch that ruined my main characters (sorceress) where I invested a lot of time to get to 100 lvl and then boom belong to the trash, or from that blizzard literally doesn't respect players time at all, I tried to res-pec the paragon of my Sorc. and guess what happened, 6 million coin was not enough, i got stuck in the second board, ,I don't know from where to start......     As the game progresses, the combat becomes monotonous and lacks excitement. The gameplay itself feels repetitive and fails to deliver an enjoyable experience overall. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend spending your money on this game.

I've reached level 98 and don't even want to bother getting to 100. It's just not worth the time. It's too repetitive. I'm lvl 98 wearing lvl 60 n 70 gear and don't even need to change it. There are no real rewards for reaching max level so why bother? Once you reach lvl 60-70 and get ancestral gear there really isn't any point in leveling up. Unless it's just to run repetitive and boring nightmare dungeons. I've started playing other way older Rpgs again. That's how boring Diablo 4 has gotten. Season is no better. I've reached lvl 78 and just can't be bothered to level any higher. What's the point? Also, spending 20 mill to reroll one thing on one item is super annoying. And also I've played over 500 hours of this game and not gotten even one Uber unique. I don't really care about them but still. Doesn't that drop rate seem just a little too low?… Expand

    I decided to give them another chance and waited for the Season 1 patch. Season 1 patch landed and I decided to quit the game. I might check it back in    I was surprized to observe in the Beta and then in the released game that this game seems to have been given birth to in a parallel universe where Diablo 1, 2 and 3 never existed and then somehow the game made it into our universe.

    I decided to give them another chance and waited for the Season 1 patch.

    Season 1 patch landed and I decided to quit the game.

    I might check it back in 5 years if the servers are still up by then (it might not be cost efficient to keep them up for 200 players).

    If you are undecided about buying this game ...... dont ! just dont !

    I have played every major title that Blizzard has ever released starting with Warcraft: Orcs & Humans. I have had more fun with some and less with others, but overall each has been enjoyable and replayable products. Most recently I have been heavily invested in their diablo franchise, and while Diablo 3 had a bit of a rough rollout (the game itself was good, the servers, and the always onI have played every major title that Blizzard has ever released starting with Warcraft: Orcs & Humans. I have had more fun with some and less with others, but overall each has been enjoyable and replayable products. Most recently I have been heavily invested in their diablo franchise, and while Diablo 3 had a bit of a rough rollout (the game itself was good, the servers, and the always on nature of the game requiring them, made them frustrating at moments. A few missteps were made attempting to introduce real money into the auction house but after it was carved out, the game was once again, fun to play. It was clearly designed to appeal to the end user, whether they were seasoned grinders, or casual players looking for some fun couch co-op. So, when Diablo IV was hinted at a few years back as a work in progress, I was very excited. However, the influence of Activision loomed large in their decision to launch a pay to win time suck of product a'la Diablo Immortal in a proper game's place. It was and still is a garbage product intended only to such the finances and time out of desperately addicted fools for the sake of their bottom line. While dismayed, i remained hopeful for what was promised to be a legitimate successor to the Diablo franchise, a game hinted at, but always just around the corner. Finally in , we were gifted a playable demo of the fabled unicorn. The early access and public betal playthrough to level 25 and around in ACT I of the final game were amazing. The play was fun, the progression and kill advancement felt worthwhile and I was hooked. I went ahead and paid them for the ultimate edition for myself, and picked up 3 more copies for my wife and kids so that we could play together in the full game.

    Well, now that the final product has been available for a few weeks, i realize why the betas were limited as much as they were. While the storyline progresses a bit further, and the overall lore is good, the game grinds to a haul soon afterward. Even before the end of hte campaign the game begins to feel repetitive and mindless, the sidequests have good information, but as you work to complete those, you end up leveling your character, without much benefit as far as loot to increase your power output - however, due to the same keep them grinding logic that went into diablo immortal, the monsters have no such issues increasing in strength commensurate to your newly aquire level, and your ability to progress greatly diminishes. This is inevitable slowdown is ONLY mitigated by following extremely precise calculated build paths that are in no way intuitive just looking at the game layout, items or states visible to the player. You pretty much need either a build guide you follow (not playing a game) or a massive pivot table/spreadsheet to calculate on a case by case basis, if any one of the hundreds of items you do procure is going to benefit or harm your ability to even damage the next identical, but ever stronger, bad guy.

    In my case, i quit well before reaching level 100 on my first character - the game is only designed to be completeable if you sink your entire waking day into it, over and over, with non-stimulating chores such as, parsing items, killing the same spawned mobs, and using a very poorly explained mechanics to open rifts, sorry, i mean nightmare dungeons. But, even then, just this week, Blizzard decided that the mindless, unsatisfying play experience was just TOO FAST, as you only need to play 16 hours a day 5 days a week for a month to beat it, so, they nerfed the crap out of all the heros, buffed the monsters and reduced the experience gained from them. I would have rated the game a solid 5, and wouldn't recommend it. But now It's an exploitative 2 at best, and i actually feel conned out of $310 for my 4 game copies. This is corporate greed and a complete disregard for their player's lives, money and free time.    … Expand

    This is a game that starts off strong, but you realize it was just a trick to get your money, the devs don't care about fan feedback, the first season was absolutely boring, and a reskin of everything were already have in the game, this game has potential but the devs won't let it thrive.

Loot is garbage, dungeons hodgepodged/look the same, lack of content, rewards for grinding?..hahaha, weird mount characteristics..etc. While I did enjoy playing it’s, the cons are just too many. That damned blizzardDull and shabby, almost like no pride went into creating this game. I played D1-3, I feel like Blizzard used the name to pull people in and spring a subpar product on them/us.     A console game with PC port. Even as a PC player, I have to admit the game feels better on console, which it was designed for.
    It's just not ready or worth the time.
    There is no endgame. It just stops. There is nothing to do.
    The first season was announced. It is no where near enough to keep an active player base.

I've played Diablo series since the beginning and this iteration looks great, but there is nothing under the surface. Patch 1.1 just put the nail in the coffin for the time being. Unless they manage to resurrect this game like D3 did 2 years afterCampaign is great. That's it. It felt a bit like an early release without them telling you it was before purchasing, During this faux early release period (pre season 1 patch) there wasn't much to do once you leveled up. No real chase items (and once those chase items became obtainable by around 140 people them made sure to put an end to shat real fast). There is really nothing to actually do except sink 300+ attempts into a boss fight that is literally just move to avoid mechanics or else you die in literally one hit. So we patiently awaiting this "huge season 1 patch" The only thing huge about it was disappointment. The nerfed essentially every single class, they gutted the Sorceress class that was already by far the worse class in the game, and to add insult to injury they got the only new unique that is actually detrimental to use, They are quick to nerf anything players enjoy and a slog to release things the player asked for which has only been like 3 things they have answered to. I guess they don't have to constantly try to answer player feedback (which they don't really do) if they don't have a player base to begin with. I would suggest playing Hero Siege (a pixel based diablo) over this game at this point.....… Expand

    Game has no story, no continuation of plot. The game play is repetitive without the fun that indie games would bring. There are few decisions to make in the game, instead setting up a repetitive grind that rewards time, not the player.

    Was great before the patch. Now with everything nerfed to prolong the game, they ruined this game in my opinion. After hundreds of hours playing you should feel powerful but I guess the devs don't think so. Wasted all that time grinding to make my character strong only to get nerfed to the ground.

    Re-rolling gear is actively discouraged by the current system because you cannot tell what pool of affixes are available when you try to swap one, the cost to do so is so high that its best to give up after a few rolls. There is minimal bag and stash space for all those yellows you'd like to try and re-roll, most will be duds because of how expensive it is so you're encouraged to keep any decent ones.. In your tiny stash space. For a game that is about collecting gear this poses a problem and becomes a deal breaker if you play more than 1 character as stash space is shared.

    An ARPG with no good loot? Most unique items available to each class are out performed by well rolled yellows upgraded with well rolled aspects. In D3 rolling a primal set piece with decent stats was a great feeling, going to the enchanter and knowing you can get 1 more bis stat on it definitely a good time.

    They added a mount but made it so there are walls, cliffs, obstacles that block you quite often and you can get stuck on corners very easily. It seems like the idea behind the mount was lets give it to them but make it awful to use. Most classes can move faster than a mount anyway.

    I feel like the decision makers behind Diablo 4 were too eager to make their own mark on the franchise and as such most of what made Diablo 3's endgame enjoyable has been removed in favor of systems and itemization that actively deter players from doing what ARPG's are best at, clearing maps quickly, efficiently and collecting worthwhile loot.    … Expand

    Blizzard had everything going for this game but decided to do nothing to fix bugs and common, valid complaints, and instead nerfed every class based on reasoning that crumbles upon encountering an ounce of critical thought. Maybe in 2 years or so they will manage to remove their heads from their cash holes.

I spent about 17 million gold rerolling affixes on my gear just for them to nerf everything into the ground the next day. I am doing considerably less damage now than a week ago when I grinded all last week!     The only good thing in this patch is that iam gonna play Baldurs Gate 3 when it comes out. No need to play a slow downed season for some cosmetic garbage reward.

    Patch 1.1 made the game worse. I was on the fence having fun here and there. Seeing my character slowly progress but with the new patch that has since grinded to a halt. Patch was said to balance all character classes but that was not the case. Will not play until maybe season 3-5 if things get better then. Ah well

    For a good month and a half there was hope to be had that Blizzard would not do what Blizzard has always done in the last decades. But they did. People were having fun with the game and this had to stop. It's time to accept reality: The Blizzard that brought us the original Diablo and Warcraft is dead. This company is now a malignant shadow of what it was 20 years ago. Buyer beware.

    Game was fun despised lacking content at first. Now with the new patch for the first season it just seems like they nerf everything to compensate for the lack of end game. Instead of adding content, they will just slow down progression to reach the end. Little weird for an action RPG where you kill monster slowly...

    Unfinished game. Blizzard decided to nerf everything because players were completing the campaign and material too quickly. No effort to improve other classes or weak builds, just nerfing skills and items. You wake up and your character does 40% of the damage you used to, what a joke. I would steer away and look for games such as baldur's gate 3.

    Sorry but this is not worth our money. I loved and played D3 for thousand’s of hours with my friends. I cant even get to level 100 without being bored to death. Latest patch murdered the last spark of fun, goodbye.

    I immensely enjoyed the game, but then the season one patch dropped. Everything I worked hard to get to has been nerfed into the dirt. It doesn't feel good. I was a far cry from being able to kill Uber Lilith, but now it'll never happen.

    Diablo 4 fails to capture the essence of what made the franchise legendary. As a long-time fan of the Diablo series, I had eagerly anticipated this installment and was having a great time playing through the campaign and just started dipping into the end game content.. then patch 1.1 came...

    All the hard-earned progress we had made, all the hours we've put into crafting and honing our characters, feel pointless now. The Necromancer, my personal favorite, feels more like a Lackluster-mancer, its potency reduced to a husk of what it once was. Barbarians feel less like fearsome warriors and more like a disgruntled farmer with a rusty spade.

    And don't even get me started on the Sorceresses. What was once a thrilling tactical play of abilities and positioning now feels like a dull slog, as if the game is actively punishing you for daring to have an original strategy. It's an appalling move, stripping the fun and nuance out of gameplay.

    The great promise of Diablo 4 was the depth of class customization and the sense of truly owning your character's development. But with the 1.1 patch, it seems like Blizzard has abandoned that vision entirely. This is not balancing; this is bulldozing over all the characteristics that made each class unique and rewarding to play.

    Blizzard, you've broken the cardinal rule of game design: Don't take away the fun. This nerf-heavy 1.1 patch feels like a betrayal, and I can assure you, the player base is not taking this lightly. I've been a loyal player since Diablo II, but this update has me seriously considering if it's time to pack up my gear and head for greener - and more rewarding - gaming pastures.    … Expand

The PS5 trading system with other players, I still have to use a scroll wheel to input gold in multiples of 1?! Are you out of your damn mind.     They killed the game just before season 1 congratz blizzard. Every character is nerfed and with longer cooldowns nothing is fun to play anymore. We take more dmg, less exp. Hope they fix it or this thing won't be playable.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My initial thoughts of the game was at least a 9 I put a ton of time and work into the game and loved most things about it.
    I know sorcerer was one of the weaker classes but I had an AMAZING time playing the class. I hopped on yesterday to play with my friends and ended up hopping off after 2 dungeons having my damage cut by about 200% and my survivability cut by about 80%.
    The dungeons that I was having a kind of dificult time doing are near impossible now with how squishy my character is. I do not plan on playing until season 1 and I am not sure if I will play depending on the state of the game. My build got absolutely destroyed after all the time and effort getting gear and fine tuning the paragon board. Fix it please. I lostmost of my love for the game by the blatant "FU" to the player base.    … Expand

    They took all the good features from the older games and trashed them out to implement the bad ones. When the players started to have some fun, they didn't implement much new content and just watched the gameplay from the top 1%, so they decided to nerf everything to prolong the end game. Is as sad as it gets.

    Campaign looks awesome and graphics are outstanding.

    But after that.. its just bland. Less action, longer cooldowns, builds are not diverse. Endgame content is just isnt there as to what was supposed to be.

    This is an ACTION RPG with slow paced action.

    It's a LOOT hunter with boring loot.

    This is an MMO with no social aspects.

    A dungeon crawler that feels more like a game of fetch the stones and put them on the pedestals.

    After reading the new patch notes its very clear that the devs do not play their own game. They would rather slow the game down then add new content to justify their $70 game.

    PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING BLIZZARD UNTIL THEY FIRE THE WHOLE FREAKING DEPARTMENT.

    Absolute joke from Blizzard yet again after the latest patch, they show that they don't want you to have fun, they want you to grind endlessly(and boringly). The problem is if the grind isnt fun or rewarding in any way there is no point. Score will stay low until blizzard puts the fun back into the game

    D4 launch was ok overall. I had a 2 to 3 crashes everyday on PS5 but the leveling was fun. However, endgame is awful. Blizzard Devs are out of touch. They pretend to listen to their community, but they actually dont. The Season 1 patch shows how lost they really are. Tons of nerfs, no extra stash tabs, minor QOL improvements, slowing down the pace of the game, sluggish leveling, no fix forD4 launch was ok overall.     The game has its flaws, the biggest beeing the nonexistent endgame. Around lvl 70 you have seen it all and done so much of it you get burned out. (Or at least i did) There are no meaningful upgrades to your character anymore so its just an awfully long grind to max lvl with the occasional 0.1% damage upgrade...     There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
