I honestly feel terrible for some people working hard to make this a good game, because the art is honestly good. The endgame is abysmal though. Please just wait to release a full game next time. RIP my $70.

This game was released unfinished, unbalanced, full of bugs, and severely underwhelming for a AAA game company who already has experience in ARPG's.

The story is okay if you want to buy the game just for that, but they ruined the game with microtransactions, expensive season passes, unnecessary nerfs in season 1. I hope they would make the next seasons better.

I'm a long-time fan of the series, played every Diablo so far. When you choose to create a game that doesn't work offline, is expected that that game will work online. This simply isn't the case in Diablo IV. If you want to own a big regret, you should buy this piece of crap.

FK NO, they gave you tons of useless affixes to make the good item drop even less...
Ye, sure there is enchanting thing to reroll 1 affix, but since there are tons of them, getting the one you desire is a miracle run (not to say the enchanting gets progresively more expensive so you can afford only a few tries...)

Also there is NOT A SINGLE REASON to go higher level dungeons since loot is based on YOUR level and not dungeons (thats just straight up bs, not even in a funny way)

Out of good things: the graphics and souns is really good

THIS IS NOT THE GAME I WAS DOING NOTHING FOR!
(the game deserves like 2 or 3, but im an impulsive guy so im giving it straight 0/10)

EDIT: The game should have never came out on consoles because of stupid targeting system and idiotic horse riding. Good its not my problem anymore since i just smashed my copy of the game into bits (i feel relieved actually and not regreting a thing, well maybe buying it at first place)

A Disastrous Disappointment: Diablo 4 Fails Gamers on Every Level

I recently made the grave mistake of shelling out a jaw-dropping $130 for Diablo 4, expecting a gaming experience that would be worth its weight in gold. What I got instead was an absolute disaster that left me questioning the sanity of the developers and the sanity of anyone who actually enjoys this travesty.

Let's start with the most glaring issue: the lack of WASD support. In an era where gaming has evolved to cater to various player preferences and abilities, Diablo 4 has decided to regress back to the Stone Age. Who on Earth thought that denying players the basic freedom of using WASD controls was a good idea? Apparently, the developers are either blissfully unaware of the gaming landscape or simply sadistic, reveling in the suffering of players with arthritis, carpal tunnel, or any other disability that makes traditional controls difficult.

But oh, don't worry, because apparently having control options isn't supposed to translate to good gameplay. No, according to the masterminds behind Diablo 4, we're all just supposed to adapt to their archaic control scheme and be grateful for the privilege of enduring their nonsensical design choices. Because who needs player accessibility and comfort when you can frustrate your audience to the point of tears?

And let's not even get started on the price tag. $130 for a game that's stuck in the past, not even bothering to acknowledge the basic standards of user-friendly controls? It's as if the developers are actively trying to rob players blind while simultaneously flipping them the middle finger. Congratulations, Blizzard, you've managed to outdo yourselves in creating a product that redefines the meaning of buyer's remorse.

In conclusion, Diablo 4 is a catastrophic failure on every conceivable level. Its lack of WASD support is a slap in the face to gamers with disabilities, and the notion that control options are somehow irrelevant to good gameplay is mind-bogglingly absurd. Save your hard-earned money and precious time for a game that actually respects its players and embraces modern gaming conventions. Diablo 4 is a prime example of how not to make a game, and I can only hope that the developers come to their senses before inflicting more misery upon unsuspecting players.

Blizzard deploys nonsensical patches that break the underlying mechanics of the game and in doing so ensures that it has no long-term playability. Why would anyone invest time in this game if they're just going to casually break whatever you've built to juice some internal KPI with a complete disregard for whether or not it makes the actual game fun to play?

Without fixing anything the community considered a problem, the patch gutted player damage output and survivability, across the board. Nerfs happen, we all know that. In this instance, however, there's a strong case to be made that they simply felt players were getting too far too fast, and that crippling them would further sales of their season pass tier skips. I've never seen a worse patch, much less a worse first major patch, and unless Blizzard reverses course, I'm done with the game. Diablo 4 has a strong foundation with nice graphics, fluid animation and great art style so there is still plenty of hope left, but in its current state I cannot recommend it to anyone. Here is what’s wrong, so take note Blizzard employees:

    1. Microtransactions in a full-price game. Your ludicrously priced armors should be earned from bosses etc, when all the cool stuff is in the shop the incentive to play is reduced.

    2. You think by making the game slower and “grindy” players will stay for longer when in fact it has the opposite effect; it just becomes a chore to play.

    3. Your mission structure is incredibly repetitive, it feels like I’m just searching for prisoners all the time.

    4. Your open world is boring. It has no secrets to uncover so exploration has no feeling of exploring, if that makes sense.

So overall: stop trying to minimize effort and maximize profit, focus on making a great game. There is passion here, but it’s overshadowed by greedy corporate practices.

Instead of valuing player feedback, they seemed to ignore the passionate fan base's pleas for certain features, balance adjustments, and improvements. This lack of communication and disregard for the community's desires led to a game that feels like a watered-down version of its predecessors. Core elements that players loved, such as deep character customization, engaging endgame content, and a sense of accomplishment, were either neglected or poorly implemented. As a result, the game lost its charm and the excitement that players once had, leaving them disillusioned and disconnected from a franchise they once cherished. It's truly disheartening to witness a game's potential squandered due to the developers' refusal to embrace player input and deliver an experience that could have been so much more enjoyable.

To add insult to injury, the server stability is laughable. Constant lag spikes and disconnections make the already dull gameplay experience downright frustrating. It's infuriating to see a game with such a big budget and development time fail so spectacularly in basic server management.

In conclusion, Diablo 4 is a pitiful attempt at cashing in on the franchise's name while offering nothing but disappointment to long-time fans. From its lackluster graphics and shallow gameplay to its convoluted plot and predatory microtransactions, there's little redeeming value to be found. As a long-time Diablo fan, I can only hope that this abomination is a wake-up call for the developers to return to the series' roots and deliver a game worthy of the Diablo legacy. Until then, steer clear of this mess and save your money for something that actually respects its players.

    * Compelling story moments are not often to be found throughout Diablo IV (including side quests).
    * Very pedestrian music, where environment is very hard to notice and boss music is overwhelming.
    * Little variance between mobs.
    * The default zoom-out is way too zoomed in compared to even Diablo III.
    * Seasonal balancing changes that negatively affect those on the Eternal realms (who can't even participate).

Whelp....Im sad to say, I wont be apart of these money grabs anymore. The pros of this game are few. They got back to the gritty, dark, roots! FINALLY! I was so happy to see this. The graphics are good, campaign and characters are decent. Some of the combat feels good. However the cons HEAVILY outweigh the pros. There is NO END GAME, the entire point of playing is a motive to beat strong bosses and get end game BEST loot, OR if you like PVP you go that route. The items are lackluster, boring, the dungeons are repetitive. The map is very big, BUT THERE IS NOTHING IN IT. It's an open world online game but it feels barren. You will enjoy the campaign, when you hit 60, game gets super stale. Why would I want to do boring, mundane sidequest over again every season? Why would I want to restart every season if theres no end game. WHATS THE POINT? Im so sad I want to love this game, I want to get absorbed in a good classic again. Blizzard. Is. Dead. Expand

Game was covered by an awesome story and animations but once you dig deep itemization sucks which was supposed to be the heart of any arpg game such as Diablo. It’s true that the old Blizzard is dead. Pre-season was decent 6/10 but from there just down the drain. Will not pre order Blizzard games on the foreseeable future.

There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]

Diablo is back, and taking no prisoners. The top-quality, lengthy campaign will be enough for some, while the endgame should prove a welcome obsession for others. [Issue#30, p.84]
