    It takes the qualities to ruin ahead of time an experience that, even with many problems, had potential.
    What's the point of extending a season patch to the inside world since the new mechanics will be eliminated in the third month.

    The patch had only one effect making me return to PoE making me regret having abandoned it for these 5 weeks and making me wait even more hype for the presentation of PoE2.
    As for WOW, Diablo 4, personally, is done with me too... they will be able to release all the seasons and DLCs they want but the point is that by now we can no longer trust Blizzard and that band of developers who after this patch have shown that they have never played the game they developed themselves.
    I strongly advise against the purchase and save the money that it is not really worth it. GG BLIZZARD    … Expand

    Evidently Blizzard's primary goal is to make the least fun game of all time because that's basically what they've done with the latest patch. Any enjoyment that i was getting out of the game was killed. I seriously cannot wrap my mind around how they thought that 99% of the changes in this patch were ok. It's unbelievable.

The cinematics and sounds are not good enough to save the experience that players get at the game. The only good thing it gives the players right now is a lot of excitement for Baldurs Gate 3. However the more you play and get into the "endgame" (there isn't any) you will notice how brazenly the game is designed to waste your time. It seems clear that blizzard rushed this beta version out early and then got way too confident with the great reviews of people who played the great first 10-20 hours of the game. Then the game that was advertised to us turned out to be unfinished and redoing the same side quests each season and losing your progress was pitched as the exciting seasonal model. Blizzard was really close to nailing this one, turns out it was designed to get you to play long enough that your refund was no longer eligible and that's it.

    Edited to lower score after the laughable patch notes where they ignored all player feedback. I won't be buying blizzard ever again and this silly review is the most I can ever do since they denied my refund requests. (I bought platinum and they even lied and said I bought it past the time for a refund, a lie and a cash grab)

    I've never been this upset with a game developer and can only warn others not to buy until they fix their game.    … Expand

    A live service train wreck. Shallow and Soulless. Nerfing you’re builds so you have to re farm,
    and killing XP gained to stretch out the content. Just before trying to sell you, the battle pass.
    which is so hollow. It needs you to replay side quests
    and start everything all over again.

    If you have any respect for your own time, don’t touch this hot mess..

    the grind broken classes and lacking build diversity items etc followed by the worst patch in diablo history destroyed almost everyones will and motivation (including mine) to play Diablo IV. Patch 1.1 should've existed out of QoL and/or harder content such as torment 5, 6, or above.
    But instead they nerfed the classes into oblivion where as the sorcerer is not even playable anymore.
    Blizzard as a company is out of touch, and has lost complete sense of feel or connection with the player base.

    Terrible end game loop. No chase items. No crafting. No agency on the contents and rewards. Bad itemization. Forced builds by devs. Buggy and imbalanced tuning. Thoughtless implementation of many systems, such as open world, elemental/phys dmg types, resistance, white/blue items(why do they exists lol?), hardcore/softcore etc.. Missing tons of QoL features(search function, lack of stashesTerrible end game loop. No chase items. No crafting. No agency on the contents and rewards. Bad itemization.     Lots of unnecessary nerfs implemented in the last patch while things that needed change were overlooked. The looting rate wasn’t great but instead of improving it, devs made the farming system harder and dragged the whole process even further. Horses are still wonky, cooldowns are a pain in the neck, rewarding system is still underwhelming, reroll cost is too high, sever’s lagging, game has no social aspect, trading system is a joke, necro’s minions are still squishy as ever, and sorcs… well, we don’t talk about sorcs…… Expand

    So, in a world where the community wants more content that's less grindy or repetitive, the devs enforced a patched that does exactly that.
    Now builds are playability are dictated by the buff/nerfs patches.
    I guess I can find more diversity in PoE/Last Epoch.

But every Diablo game up to 4 has an addictive quality that can keep you up all night, and during the day you're counting down when you can get more time in. Diablo 4, not at all..     I wanted to start with a fresh mind into the next season and got the papyrus of patch notes for S1 which effectivly extend the level progress (artificially) and nerf all charakters. I will have a look at the evening but I played 30 minutes with my hunter and it was just terrible and I directly switched off this    Was a good game in the beginning and I really enjoyed my 150 hours into it.

More bugs than a picnic basket at the park. The patches are always to fix bugs and nerf characters in some way. Please stay away from this game there are many other options. There is even news to where the developer themselves said to play another game while playing this one. To current players I apologize but nerfing cool down reduction was the one for me. It felt slow as is already and reducing cool down reduction was simply just to hurt the players and waste more time. There was absolutely no reason for this nerf because it was not powerful just made the game play bearable to play the least.… Expand

    Absolute garbage. 1-50 is pretty fun just skill and campaign wise, but falls SHARPLY off after that. No reason to loot anything, all special items are complete garbage for 95% of the builds. Feels like we’re in a paid beta. Really horrible advertising tactics. Do Not Buy!!!

Constant rubber banding, lack of dungeon diversity it gets old fast. The latest patch has just dragged out the mechanics further for future seasons. Now with the new season and things added it will be just probably one more hour if any to play. Used to play since beta got early acces and was actually enjoying this game like many others untill the latest patch. Blizzard is so disconnected to its community its laughable.

    Instead of addressing class bugs like the minion necro and making it more playable, Blizzard seems to be more focused on turning the game into a grind-fest due to the live service model.

    It's a bit disappointing as players would prefer improvements in quality of life and bug fixes rather than increasing the grindiness of the game.

    The game seemed to have potential until they announced the patch notes for season 1. No fixes for the real issues plaguing the game today and nerfs that will cause the casual player even more grind time to get levels and gear. I won’t be playing anymore until they start listening to the player base (with a focus on casuals who bring the most revenue to Blizzard’s bottom line.

    Story wise it was good, and pre season 1 patch the bones were a great start. A lot of QoL expectations missed and some questionable design issues, but generally worth it. They posted preseason 1 patch and nerfed the entire game. Didn’t even patch to update, just uninstalled. No real QoL improvements and no new cool news. Makes D3 marketplace laughable.

    Not even as good as D3 and that's saying something. The game is SLOW. The combat is dry and the quests are poorly done. I don't know what took them so long but this is not an upgrade to D3.

    250 hours and overnight they melted my dps and survivability even too. Insane. Talk about getting literally robbed. Won't be giving blizzard another dollar after that one. No way I'm logging into season 2 start. Gtfoh. Onto the next

    Blizzard killing the game with a new patches. No balance at all, necro can oneshot uber lilith but sorcerer can path dungeon +10 lvl. They nerfed the exp gain, they disabled the alt fast progression. My overall impression that the game and most characters designed to 1-50 lvl but not more

    The game was great during launch. But in a 1.5 months they decided to shoot themselves in the foot with a gigantic nerf that destroyed effort that was put into the game. Basically they don't even care what you have done in the game. Don't waste your time. You'll be sorely disappointed because they can patch in a month and render all your effort to nothing.

    I was told there would be endgame activities. There were, but they were removed by way of excessive nerfing and meddling by dickcheese sampling developers. Dickcheese is slang for smegma, which is found under unsanitary foreskin.

    Even with high-end rigs, you must set all of the game settings to absolute minimum to avoid severe lag and game stuttering. Weekly updates take TWO days, wherein you are subject to being logged out at any time, even mid-battle. Microtransactions are nowhere near MICRO. The average skin will set you back about $30 to $40 USD, AND it's a very slightly tweeked, perhaps color slightly altered version of a skin you can get absolutely free in the game. I fell in to this nostalgia trap. Loved D1 bought it the week it came out. Loved D2 drove 200 miles to get a copy on launch day. More or less enjoyed D3, launch was terrible but it at least felt like they were addressing players issues with the game, love the current seasons.

    Basically the way they decided to "fix" their lack of fun endgame content was simply to make it harder to get there in the first place.
    I have seen a lot of people trying to justify the massive nerf to all classes by pointing out that the S1 mechanic will make up for that. . . I would be inclined to agree if this didn't effect the Eternal realm. Seasonal content should be optional not mandatory.    … Expand

The most recent patch (season 1 hasn't even started yet) completely halted player progression and gutted build diversity. They made all gear worse, all builds worse, all defenses worse, all events worse, and all XP gains worse. They nerfed the class that is already at the very bottom of the tier lists to oblivion. They also introduced new aspects and uniques that bring absolutely nothing to the game. Do not waste your time or your money. Trust me, I have wasted both putting my faith in Activision Blizzard.     Bought early access. Was having fun up until July 18, where the game completely changed to an ultramarathon for only the sweatiest of gamers. Fun was gutted. That’s what gaming is, or at least was, for. Corporate greed at its pinnacle with this one. Fool me once shame on me. Fool me twice, well I can’t get fooled again.

Is it really plausible that a company the size of Blizzard couldn't foresee that characters would become too powerful? This could have easily been observed in testing, where the developers have access to every item, class, and level to evaluate.

    After years of development, the team couldn't predict this outcome?

    The solution would be so simple: creating new difficulty levels for the game, introducing difficulties V, VI, VII... This would be far better than wasting players' invested time in the game, considering that we invest not only our money but also a significant portion of our leisure time in becoming stronger, not weaker, in the game. Over the past few weeks, it's been clear that world bosses have weak damage and ridiculously low health bars. New difficulty levels were necessary, not decreasing the power of characters. This update has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. With over 250 hours in the game, I no longer feel any desire to play after this update.    … Expand

    The story was good , after level 50 you have same dungeons to farm just a bit harder , classes are either way to strong or just paper weak , a total disaster from a huge game developer , the game keeps getting changes per week , so you cant focus on a single build

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
