    For me the story is not worth the 70USD, it can be good but to sell me a full priced game with battle pass, ingame store or skins and add to that possible DLC or classes .... Stupid server crashes for hardcore players, a P2W release event "with early access" is fine they want to make money as a service but don't sell me the **** skins at that price being a full price AAA game.

    It was good old-fashioned, demon-slaying fun until the devs thought it was a good idea to lobotomize every class mere days before the season launch. News flash blizzard; the game doesn't last longer if the mobs have inexhaustible heath bars, it just makes the game tedious and nigh impossible to enjoy.     By the way your ladder launch is a f***ing joke. Login queues are laughable at best and when you manage to invoke the patience to somehow get in, the game crashes during every loading screen. I'd rather be trapped in a blizzard than play your steaming pile of s*** games any longer.    … Expand

    Played around 100+ hours. have 80lvl necro and 50 lvl barb...
    Lags and disconnects is all you've got. I cannot recommend this game right now. Maybe after few seasons and the return all "good" mechanics from D3 as features for D4...
    Blizzards is not the same anymore. Thanks Activision for that

    One wonders why Blizzard keeps coming up with such insane ideas. How to make a Season 1 completely unattractive before it even starts. If you still want players in Season 2, you should listen to the players now. Microsoft is pretty stupid to buy such a company as Activision Blizzard.

    They took a solid core and absolutely decimated it with the last patch. Basically 40% less damage, Mobs have more health and they reward almost 50% less experience. All a money grab for seasons and lack of end game content.

    Diablo IV looks great but it doesn't feel great to play.

    This is an ACTION RPG with slow paced action.

    It's a LOOT hunter with boring loot.

    An MMO with no social aspects.

    A dungeon crawler that feels more like a game a of fetch the round peg and put it in the round hole.

    The underlying technology for this game, the game world, the story and basic design are excellent. But the game fundamentally does not work. Unfortunately, the developers seem more interested in slowing down progress so they can sell you a battlepass to speed it back up. Do not buy.

    The loot is an absolute bore finding gear doesnt feel good.

    Bought it as a physical disc because i already thought that Blizzard will do the same sh*t again like always. Maybe i sell the game. The only reason i dont sell it now is the couch koop i play with girlfriend.

    So to keep the players "online" they made the leveling now very long.

    - There are no social features, you have to use Discord to find other players whereas in Diablo 3 you could just jump in with 3 other people and have fun
    - etc.

    To add insult to injury, the patch before Season 1 made everyone weaker and squishier, removes quality of life and is generally a big slap in the face of players.

    Dear Blizzard employees, if anyone ever reads this, please try looking critically at the game and please don't forget what Diablo 3 has achieved in the 10+ years it was being polished. I really hope that Diablo 4 can reach the same heights which Diablo 3 achieved, and soon.    … Expand

    Bought this game for mmo and live service aspects. Terrible approach from blizzard! Game was in a bad condition after level 80, now its terrible. Rather than adding contents they are encouraging doing the same thing over and over. Player base had high expectations butt they fail to deliver.

    The newest patch has made Diablo 4 unplayable. The creative team keeps taking player fun away and makes it harder and harder to enjoy the game. It's obvious the team is being puppeted by studio heads that have no clue what they are doing and are intentionally trying to damped player enjoyment to prioritize stats for execs. Pass on this game and wait for balders gate 3.

    Let's nerf every class, increase enemy hp and decrease xp across the board. Artificially making the gaming experience slower is a sad excuse for lack of end game content. Was excited for Season 1, but this new update changed that. Also, $70 for a game, but a paid battle pass and $25 skins in the shop? Nice one Blizzard.

    Non-innovative, uninspiring, simple, repetitive game. The skills feel unimpactful, the combat feels stiff, the itemizations don't produce an impactful difference. I honestly don't see how this game is much different than Diablo Immortal with a bigger price tag, along with a shop selling skins for $25 for...horse armor. Blizzard's outrageous greed continues while producing subpar games.

    It feels like Blizzard bent me over again. The story was pretty good. The end game is a waste of time and Nightmare dungeons are lame, boring, and annoying simultaneously. Way too hard to find people to play with now that rooms don't exist. They will fix it I'm sure, but currently, I'd just wait a few seasons.

    I Think this game needs a ton of work to make it playable the most recent patch tore up anything that was good about it. Blizzard needs to adress concerns of the community they so much respect and listen to and fix what the destroyed.

An ARPG with seasons needs to let you know right away if it's not for you (POE does this in the first little bit when it displays the skill tree). D4 drags you along with potential for a lot of fun at some point, but the end of the journey is a wasteland devoid ofYou sir get a 0.     blizz devs just have to stop thinking they know anything about video games and just do what players/beta tester tell them to, only way to save that game. Worst loot system i've ever come by, got 1 upgrade from 76 to 100, you just drop thousand of garbage and spend your time looking at it instead of actually playing the game, bad endgame, you spam **** dungeons, way too narrow for an hack'nblizz devs just have to stop thinking they know anything about video games and just do what players/beta tester tell them to, only way to save that game. Class balance is atrocious, only good class pre 1.1 patch was necro, everything else felt super underwhelming above nightmare 70 or on lilith, have to level character to realize numbers are just **** Mount are actually worse than in lost ark, couldn't believe it, you stuck in everything, get bodyblock by mobs, you go backwards nonstop cause of lag/mount not adapted to maps design. Gear is bad, most unique are useless so you end up disappointed when they drop most of the time, uber unique might be the worst idea blizzard ever had (and i've been playing wow for the past 15years, that says something, even titanforge was better), basically a carrot you keep running after but you know you can't reach it, (1drop in 5Milllions hours of gameplay average). If you want to play this game, don't. If you play it already just give it up, only way to force blizzard's hand into making actual decent games,… Expand

    Game optimization on open NPC is very bad my graphic card is on fire. Battle Pass Acceleration have a emote... I can't buy acceleration for only a emote, i have time to complete the pass.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It stats out relatively good with ok story that look like fillers and escalates to some good cinematics in the end. Then i realised that the efficient thing to do is just nm dungeons which look relatively the same all the way to 100. Dungeons have very similar and annoying tasks that includes backtracking all the time. Music is fine and i remember the tracks of few places like Uber Lilith and Ashava. Doing helltides sat this point is just forced for the needed resource and not rewarding enough xp. Graphics and smoothness of combat are the 10/10 of the game. Itemization is simple and hitting a near dead end at 85 and at that point onward takes a week to find a minimal upgrade which is not appealing to me as a gamer that want to spend more time in a game of the calibre of d4. Casual players won't even hit that point at which you start seeing the problems of the game which makes it the perfect dad game. Skill tree is way too simple and paragon board is in the middle (i kind of like it. Give full reset option). Horse riding felt terrible to me with the bumping on corners and hitting npc barricades is the cherry on top. End game lacks things to look forward to. And im not even mentioning the little bugs and random errors and disconnects. My main problem with the game - it lacks many quality of life features that was built in d3 over maybe 10 years that d4 should've had at launch and the lack of interesting things to do / look forward to after certain point - lvl 85.… Expand

    Never been so disappointed, as a huge fan for almost two decades, diablo2 is my one of my first games, love it and d2r even now. But now days, these so called new games, has completely lost sense about designing. Once the company made of people full of passion to game is gone, only money grabbing goblin and zzzq freaks remains.

    The devs dont listen to the community. They have no clue about good game design, especially about ARPG. Read the sub reddit /diablo4, watch all the critics on yt. And you will see, how trash this game is.
    If you're looking for a good ARPG take POE, Last Epoch or Grim Dawn.

    It is ok for the first 30 hours. After you get to world tier 4, there doesnt seem to be insentive to play.
    Also there are stupid items that change gameplay significantly, you cant trade for those items.
    Why all the stupid nurfs, you make the game less fun and dont improve any immersion,

    U have bar for only 4 spells, world is scaling so u just getting weaker, end game sucks, campaign sucks, combat is so boring, items have BS stats that make no sense and i can continue. Graphics are only decent thing i guess. Just dont buy it, dont waste your money and time, game objectivly sucks in almost every aspect, only    Biggest disappointment in my life with any game in 20 years.

    I've been excited for this game forever, after playing 100+ hours I am very disappointed. "Play your own way" is play the meta or play the worse build. Even without a build guide, I was planning on an earth druid but after finding the pulverize legendaries and trying them I had to change my build because it was just better, no contest. Each class has 4 core skills, and other than the mage classes it feels like those are the only way to do damage. So it's pick your core skill and build around it, all other skills feel like support skills. Running around the world almost every character was playing 1 or 2 builds for each class.
    The game feels like it is trying to slow you down. Grinding levels is very slow, and the only content is helltide and nightmare dungeons. This feels very much like rifts and grinding the open world from D3. I'm wondering if content was removed so that they could use it in season events.
    I've run into crashes and bugs, the amount of stash space is basically only enough for a single class, the horse hardly works. This does not feel like a finished game. I wish they would have extended the beta and allowed us to play longer and up to the max level. The passionate players would have pointed out the many flaws this game had, and they would have been easier to address.
    Overall, the art is amazing. I love the character designs and cosmetics. While the game is working, it feels smooth. The early game is the most challenging part of the game, after it is not challenging and so grindy and repetitive. There is not enough to do, and the most of the skills are not worth building around. This game feels like it was built around the shop. Blizzard is prioritizing micro-transactions, and this unfinished game was just an afterthought.    … Expand

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
