    The campaign is fun but not worth the 70 dollars, the late game is like a boring job where you have to repeat the same thing over and over for nothing. Not worth more than 30 dollars.

    They kill the game very patch possible. Dont even bother do play. Anything that was bad is doubled down and anything that was remotely fun is nerfed. Leveling was slowed down, classes already gutted, itemization not addressed, endgame activities heavily nerfed.

    This game is terrible. I wish I paid so much money for it. Once again, I believed all these stories about the great, from the small game studio Blizzard. Baldur's Gate 3 is out now, which has a more interesting demo than the full version of Diablo 4

    For me it was a total marketing trap that i fell for. On the surface and for a couple of hours gameplay Diablo 4 looks awesome.
    After reaching the second town things start to bog down a little since you understand that there is LEVEL SCALING! I tried to go back to the very first small village i started the game in and the monsters there were EXACTLY as difficult as when i first saw them    For me it was a total marketing trap that i fell for. On the surface and for a couple of hours gameplay Diablo 4 looks awesome.
    After reaching the second town things start to bog down a little since you understand that there is LEVEL SCALING! I tried to go back to the very first small village i started the game in and the monsters there were EXACTLY as difficult as when i first saw them that can be said for the rest of my 30 hr journey in D4.

    Then since i played the sorc class the field of view (FOV) started to really annoy me. AS a ranged class you cant help but to play the same as melee since camera distance is SO CLOSE and the angle is so bad you cant see anything until you are almost on top of it! Camera felt nauseating aswell.

    After about the third village it the world and the monsters started to look and feel the same everywhere i went. By then the story had lost all momentum and i was left to aimlessly wander (that was about 5th hour mark)

    After that was more of the same and when i understood that i didnt like the game at all it was too late to refund it´.

    DONT FALL INTO THE SAME TRAP I DID!
    WATCH THE TRAILERS THATS THE BEST PART OF THE GAME AND ITS FREE!

As a result, the game lost its charm and the excitement that players once had, leaving them disillusioned and disconnected from a franchise they once cherished. It's truly disheartening to witness a game's potential squandered due to the developers' refusal to embrace player input and deliver an experience that could have been so much more enjoyable.

    To add insult to injury, the server stability is laughable. Constant lag spikes and disconnections make the already dull gameplay experience downright frustrating. It's infuriating to see a game with such a big budget and development time fail so spectacularly in basic server management.

    In conclusion, Diablo 4 is a pitiful attempt at cashing in on the franchise's name while offering nothing but disappointment to long-time fans. From its lackluster graphics and shallow gameplay to its convoluted plot and predatory microtransactions, there's little redeeming value to be found. As a long-time Diablo fan, I can only hope that this abomination is a wake-up call for the developers to return to the series' roots and deliver a game worthy of the Diablo legacy.     8. No custom saved build for you and make you harder to switch build to have fun
    9. Rarest items almost never exist
    10. Only 6 skills slot maximum. Why we can't have 12 skills at a time in 2023?
    11. You don't feel stronger cause enemies' level and your level are scaled so that you always play like yesterday.
    12. Instead of more unique cosmetic, they put them in the Real Money Eshop so they wanted you to pay more on top of $70 base game
    13. You'll not know when they will screw you up again with upcoming patches.
    14. You can never play offline after paying 70 dollars.
    15. Out of no where you just can't log in to the game just to play the game

    Game was covered by an awesome story and animations but once you dig deep itemization sucks which was supposed to be the heart of any arpg game such as Diablo. It’s true that the old Blizzard is dead. Pre-season was decent 6/10 but from there just down the drain. Will not pre order Blizzard games on the foreseeable future.

    Diablo 4 appears to have one primary function: to waste your time. Every feature seems deliberately designed to maximize time consumption. I managed to reach level 50 in a mere two days, yet the slog to level 62 required a considerable grind through Paragon levels.

    Beware not to be drawn in by the enticing first act; the game is fundamentally raw and bereft of substance. The open world is disappointingly sparse, and the monotony sets in swiftly as you explore and quest.

    The storyline is frankly stupid, with hollow characters that lack depth and intrigue. This 'new Diablo' is a disappointing offering from the contemporary Blizzard team.

    The difficulty curve is wildly inconsistent. Despite a level cap of 50, if you complete all quests in the first act and conquer all the dungeons on T2, you'll conclude the first act at around levels 40-45, creating a disconcerting imbalance.

    The loot system is nonsensical. At level 62, I'm still clinging onto legendaries from level 30+ due to their superior stats. Additionally, the first act leaves you almost fully equipped with legendary items, rendering the presence of white and blue items in the game meaningless.

    Post-game content is barren and monotonous, revolving solely around grinding for keys. Despite my efforts, T4 remains inaccessible, as I can't defeat the necessary boss. Yet, I've managed to clear 20 keys, each swarming with 70+ mobs, with surprising ease.

    However, credit must be given where it's due. Diablo 4 does offer an addictive gameplay loop, and there's potential for future improvement. My hope lies in the developers' ability to patch the existing bugs and inject more meaningful content. As it stands, it feels as though there's little to do unless you're an ardent fan or you've grown weary of Path of Exile.    … Expand

    - No map randomizing, this alone ruins the Diablo experience for me - Horrible itemization - So much walking - I honestly cant tell the difference between bosses - Skill trees are so uninspired and boring i just wanna cry And for this "#%"%" game they still try to milk me    I love the Diablo franchise, but D4 is a tough pill to swallow.

    Before, I managed to play 1-3 hours a day because I don't have much time, but since the new battle pass I can't play anymore because of bugs (example I arrive in a village and I can't nothing to do anymore no merchant windows open) and disconnections, crashes (it's so annoying in the middle of a quest and a fight).

    Devs openly admit that they are fine with people using exploits and that they won't remove items obtained in an illegitimate way even though they were able to identify accounts who abused the exploit.

    If you like to cheat without having to fear consequences, then this game is for you.

    If you are into ARPGs and want to know, how CEOs like Robert Kotick destroy AAA franchises for short term revenue, this game is for YOU! Enjoy empty dungeons with characters that don't do damage and are artificially slowed down in progression, because shareholders LOVE the metric 'TIME PLAYED'. Gain no rewards, but uninspirational, soulless items that you won't use, but sell.     this game is so unbelievably boring. very small amount of viable builds and end game content is repeating what you did the whole rest of the game with a different tint on the game such as helltides.

    This is just a rubbish. I`v spend 50+ hours leveling up my character and you know what? Blizzard server just lagged => kicked me from the game and I`m dead. As long as my discord was still working and other internet stuff to I can be sure the problem was not on mt side, so I just lost my character couse THEIR mistake. My friend lost his character same way and if you check internet withThis is just a rubbish. I`v spend 50+ hours leveling up my character and you know what?     The game was great during launch. But in a 1.5 months they decided to shoot themselves in the foot with a gigantic nerf that destroyed effort that was put into the game. Basically they don't even care what you have done in the game. Don't waste your time. You'll be sorely disappointed because they can patch in a month and render all your effort to nothing.

Also i'm not paying to hear Dev team educate players so cut the crap from patch notes. Dev team should come out of that freaking ivory tower more often.

    Okay so basically don't get this game. The devs are the worst at reading a crowd that I've ever seen. They clearly don't know what direction to take the game. I spent over 300 hours grinding out the perfect gear and finally felt good and days later they nerfed my character so hard I lost easily 80% damage while more powerful builds got relatively untouched. The gameplay is extremely repetitive, grinding out the same tasks or dungeons over and over. And when I say they are the same I mean literally the same thing. Endgame is absolute garbage. I feel like an idiot for spending so much time and money on this game. Don't fall into the same trap. Please look for a game that respects your time and devs that won't nuke you back into the stone age for no reason what so ever one day while other classes were and continue to outperform.     And for some reason, a lot of different mechanics that already existed in d2 and d3 were not implemented - because of this, the game feels poor - no legendary potions, no runes, no class rifts, no different types of goblins - it is extremely strange why the experience of previous games was ignored in 4th part

    If you get it at a discount it's ok. For the full price, I would not recommend.

I cant believe that they released that. Now a decade later, the same issue prevails in a new skin. Do nightmare dungeons endlessly, and thats the end game.

    They had many, many years of working with their player base over D3. Those lessons should have transferred over to the release of D4. It did not. Instead Activi-zzard has chosen to release a game that feels like its in early access. Their fan boys will jump for joy as each path is released containing small scraps to enhance their experience. All the meanwhile it is a ruse to keep players, and to seem like they're doing anything. Im calling it now at the end of july in 2023. The patches they release over the next year are gonna be things that should have been on launch, and the amount of work they will do over the year could realistically be done next month. Instead, they choose to use words that make it seem like every little change is so hard, and that they're THINKING about doing certain things. Its all a total joke. They want to string people along as much as they can. The game is addicting, but most people equate that to fun. Its not fun to run around in this game. The side quests, are not fun. Doing the storyline, walking 80% of it before they give you a mount, is not fun. Doing nothing but nightmare dungeons for marginally less gear, is not fun. Doing a stat squish and a cross the board nerf in your second patch, is not fun. The game is addictive because big money paid for it to have qualities that would create that. If you stop for a moment and ask yourself how much fun the general experience is at the end of the day, I think most people will realize youre just playing watered down WoW in arpg form, with little content to its name. They just make it take forever (remember, d3 was beating the game 20 mf times across all the classes) to give the mind some sense of reward.

    This company is a horror antagonist with slashed off face covering theirs, and that plastered on face is blizzard north. Theyre gone, this company is nothing at all like them, and this new one has passed a new level of insufferable that passes even EA at this point.

    Its tragic all the names I grew up with are as horrific as they are. if blizzard gave even the tinyest crap about their player base, theyd pump out the quality of life at about 20x the speed they currently are. They are fully capable of doing so, they just dont want to cause of paying employees, or to draw out their profits for share holders. This game is not for the player, its for the company.

    I regret each of my 150 hours I put into this game before I realized what was happening. It was a massive waste of time and thanks to this game, I will never, ever, give another cent to blizzard. I drew that line with EA and Ubisoft, and now someone I once loved so dearly who carry's their name is also across that line on the "Do not buy" category.

    Its barely even a game company so much anymore as it is a money grubbing time waster. It should be moved to the classification of simulation games because all it does is simulate pure misery.    … Expand

    The game launched poorly. I play sorc who's main power comes from int and scales resistances. Season one is coming out and we were hit with nerfs and resistances are still broken. There is just so much missing and wrong with this game. Outside of the graphics it's a step back from Diablo 3 in almost every way.

    They've destroyed almost everyones will and motivation (including mine) to play Diablo IV. Patch 1.1 should've existed out of QoL and/or harder content such as torment 5, 6, or above.
    But instead they nerfed the classes into oblivion where as the sorcerer is not even playable anymore.
    Blizzard as a company is out of touch, and has lost complete sense of feel or connection with the playerbase.

    Diablo 4 has a relatively good combat system but needs more skill customization options after level 50. The game is extremely monotonous after level 50 and there is no point playing beyond upgrading stats of gear. Necro skills are not balanced: skeletons dont do enough damage, bone spirit is underwhelming compared to bone spear which is a tier 2 skill.     Beyond this issue I think the biggest problem with diablo 4 is that the games campaign's bosses are boring as **** compared to diablo 2. Diablo 2's campaign and settings were inherently captivating and each boss was hype due to the unique boss design and the way you beat each one. Diablo 4 is horribly bland in comparison and honestly Id rather play diablo 2 any day over diablo 4 because of the bosses alone    … Expand

    I'm an old user since the D II LOD. The Blizzard lost spirit of craftsmanship, this is not the Diablo.

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]

    Diablo is back, and taking no prisoners. The top-quality, lengthy campaign will be enough for some, while the endgame should prove a welcome obsession for others. [Issue#30, p.84]
