    Game has recently become unplayable with the constant lag spikes and rubber banding. The only resolution for the issue would be blamed on the users rather than addressing and fixing the issue. Everything fun about the game has been nerfed by this small indie company. End game is unrewarding hence the farming of lower end dungeons for same rewards that are given in nightmare dungeon.     A game that comprises it's UI to make console and PC bad.
    Level scaling makes gaining any levels feel like a setback. It also makes party play feel imbalanced.
    Boring skill design, low build viability. Limited action set is too console focused.
    This game feels like an early alpha but costs 100$. There is potential but it is wasted.

Besides that combat is basically just resource gainer resource spender, awesome. Get rid of level scaling, and give me something to look forward to.     Possibly the most overrated game I’ve ever played. The gameplay and fighting in it are dire. Every fight is the same; every boss looks the same with its faded red color and generic size/shape.

    Edit: it got worse. Unbelievably, improbably, it got worse.

    - Can't track sidequests, crashing all over the place
    - Resists just don't work, leaving armor and health your only options - Their end game is pointless; Diablo games are supposed to reward you for    Who called this polished?     - Their end game is pointless; Diablo games are supposed to reward you for increased risk. This version doesn't. Gear drops are based off your character level and not the dungeon level. This means running a 40 minute dungeon isn't as valuable as running 4 x 10 min dungeons. It's not supposed to be this way. We want to enjoy the challenge and be rewarded for it.
    - The story line is short and dumb.
    - Nearly every aspect of this game has some unpolished wonkiness, for instance there's no Diablo IV graphic on my OS tool bar. I don't want to buy a AAA game and see a white piece of paper as the game icon. Especially when the game crashes as much as this one.
    - The season play doesn't include new content. Season play is supposed to be a NEW season each time you play it, not the same old content that's been done before on repeat.

    While in Diablo you spend a lot of time looking at new gear, this new version tipped the balanced. You spend too much time looking at gear now with all these stupid sub divided stats. Leaving gems in to take up inventory space just to have something to fix that the community will be happy about it is an obvious play and doesn't make up for the half finished nature of the game. This isn't a Blizzard Diablo, which always has something innovative even if it doesn't work you need to try. This is a washed out version that actually makes the game crappier. Booooooo go back to mobile games Blizzard you're embarrassing yourself.    … Expand

You click 2 buttons and have 10000 passive that you even don't feel in gameplay. All classes gameplay look the same. Waste of money.     The rubberbanding from latency makes the game unplayable, for a game starting at $70 Blizzard CAN afford better servers. it should've worked at launch, and there's simply no excuse for this. If this was a small indie companies first online game it could be forgivable, but this is coming from a company that only creates online games, and is considered an industry leader.

    I scheduled my G.D. vacation time for the D4 release & 3 days into playing it stopped being fun. I'm still upset. What a scam.

    The once great Blizzard North was bought out over a decade ago and none of the brilliant minds still work there at what is now called Activision Blizzard. I didn't know this until after buying D4. Blizzard pumps out flashy games with no substance and puts the Blizzard stamp on it to cash in on nostalgia and utilize predatory in game cash transaction practices. Their games are pure marketing & sales. Look at reviews for any of their games in the last decade. I wish I had.

    Don't believe the positive critic reviews or the fake positive reviews masquerading as negative ones. Blizzard pays for those to confuse people

    Unplayable on the ps5 with all the rubber banding. Looks like Blizzard didn't bother buying servers. If you are going to release an online only game and then not have enough servers, it is basically a scam. I cannot play the game i paid full price for. Lesson learned. Never buy blizzard. Never buy online only.

On the plus side, the spreadsheet your horse armor should make a lot of money and if you nerf things after people bought the game maybe you can make them pay for it later. Blizzard is a game studio that was amazing but as head over heels I was on I and II and I didn’t hate 3 (with some issue but I’m single player). They have tipped their hand once again. Either they have gone far away from me, or I’ve gone far away from them. I doubt I will buy the next one (sadly until they have some great cutscenes and say they are not going to commit past sins I’m a sucker and they know it). With 600M I doubt they give a **** about any reviews they certainly aren’t listening to anyone. Just listen to the Dev updates.

    I really wanted to like this game... My memories of the original Diablo and playing at my friend's house when I was young, thrilled with the dark story, innovative mechanics and cool armor and weapons.

    Within 10 minutes of playing this game I realized that despite the graphics and polish, this game is simply boring. There was zero challenge and no fear dying.     I would love to put hours upon hours into this amazing game, but I literally can't without constant frame drops because of the completely unnecessary forced always online functions of Diablo IV.

    They seriously need to work on these servers, but also add a offline mode like every other game that is mostly a single player experience as well.

    this game is raw and in alpha phase, after lvl 60 there is literally nothing to do. its boring. gameplay and game mechanics have not passed any QA. We paid for this game and now are manually testing every aspect of the game

    it is possible, that you end up with equip you found with level 60 or 70, because the "best" gear can already drop aslong you play in World-Tier 4

    Because the Monsters, scale with your level, at least druid feels never Strong or weak, till level 60 every skill, build, passive and legendary feels more or less the same.

    the "end-game" is very very repeditive and boring.

    The Main-character from past Diablo-games was imo:
    Procedual-generated areas with high deverse Monsters and creative equipment.

    In D4 you wont find good procedual-generated areas, the world-map is always the same, and the dungeons just have 2-4 of the same sets. Monsters and bosses are always the same in each dungeon.

    The level-requirement is based on your level (endgame), so if you planning the farm some start-items for your alt, you are gonne to cry, cause if you are level 100, the items drop with level 100-requirement^^

    The Skill-tree you face is very low, very little and most likely will force you in any kind to play 2-3 playstyles each class conl with the legendary aspects.

    the paragon system is better then in D3, its even more creative then the skilltree and is a good start to the endgame.

    Overall, the game sucks past level50+- in nearly everything. "BUT IT LOOKS KIND OF NICE... "
    Diablo 4 got alot of potential, maybe try it when season 1 starts.

    I played: D1, D2, D2R, D3, D4, PoE, Wolcen, Torchlight 1-3, Titan Quest, Grim dawn
    and more hack & slay rpg

    최악의 게임 일단 블리자드 명성으로 14만원의 거금을 구매한걸 너무 후회한다.

    1,2,3편이 대작이라 그래도 보통이상은 갈줄알았는데 그래픽만 좋아졌지 재미는 3만원도 주지못할듯하다.

The game is an absolute husk of an arpg, It's astonishing the lack of content available. Not only that, the incentives for higher tier Nightmare Dungeon (The supposed endgame) is the the exact same as a regular dungeon..... harder content should reward better xp and loot...

    Mounting in this game feels like your horse is reattaching itself to a rubber band on the ground. It's extremely buggy, feels terrible, and there's impassible barricades around the map which force you to dismount for nothing.

    The skill/paragon trees are the most basic cookie cutter trash you'll ever see in any arpg. You are pigeon-holed into a build, forced, you're at a massive disadvantage if you "want to play how you want to play" as they originally advertised.

    Grinding renown/levels is extremely tedious with the lack of post campaign content. The constant monster density nerfs, dungeon nerfs, build nerfs, lack of changes, bugs in classes, tons of abilities not being viable in any sort of late-ish endgame is so half-baked.

    Overall the game is a spit in the face to Diablo fans, extremely half-baked for the price, teeming with bugs and a lack of quality of life any 2023 arpg should have.

First of all the MMO aspect is a pain when you have a small connexion and also it prevents you from any kind of pause.     There is a special place in hell for developers making single player games with constant requirement of internet access. Stuck in “queue” to login on Saturday night instead of enjoying the game. What a mess!

    Graphics is quite ugly, which is a disappointment. Overall gameplay is quite enjoyable, when the game logs in.

    Diablo was always a great game until Activision bought Blizzard and I got greedy. You buy a game for 80 euros and then the developers ask you for money for battlepass and skins. I might even overlook it if the game wasn't so extremely buggy and unfinished. Graphically it's beautiful but technically it's a horror. Blizzard should take a cue from Larian Studios.

    I have tried playing this game the past 4 weekends. Three of those, the servers have had connection issues and I have been unable to play the game. I tried refunding and Blizzard rejected the request despite me having less than 30 minutes of play time. I'm done with this company.

    Good story, decent character customization. All of this is completely overshadowed by the lack of procedurally generated content and the intrusive level scaling. May as well remove levels from the game. This is a copy of the PC version but with worse controls. Overall I honestly think this is just a cash grab.

    I give the game a 0 to much bug can't play when the serveur is down or anything like that .... every patch they make is only for nerfing everything blizzard are killing the fun at the begening of the game. Instead of add mon contenu they only nerf to make you go slower and stay on the game longer.     There are no items to go after. Nothing is interesting. There is no end game meta loop in place and I'm under the impression the developers have no idea what that is. I don't know why anyone would want to level past 75 since items get worse and worse because level requirements get higher and higher on the gear that drops. Yet the item power remains the same.     But again, there are no items to go after. Nothing interesting that could drop other than a couple of chase items, but you have a better chance of being struck by lightning so they're effectively not in the game. No cool items around jah or ber drop levels. Like why would I log in?

    Even if there were cool items like that, you can't trade them. They should have made a regular trade mode (which is what everyone wants to play whenever given the choice) and a self found mode. But they have their weird hybrid version where you can only trade rares. I dread going back to town because scanning through every rare is a tedious process. Item filters could take care of that but nope, can't have that.

    Whenever fun is found in the game, they nerf it or eliminated it. They insist you play only nightmare dungeons in order to be efficient. I have no interest playing hide and seek with blocks to put on pedestals. What ever happened to just sniping elites on the way to a quick boss kill that can drop good loot. This isn't rocket science.

    They have lighting in a bottle with D2 but refuse to make an actual sequel to it. Instead we get this drivel because they think their ideas are better.    … Expand

    The gender comptencence gap clearly shows in this end product of employing women based solely on their ability to whinge, rather than on competence. They don't play games and they have no idea what makes a good game feature.

    This especially shows in the end game. There are so many design choices that are just simply annoying.

    Free 6 prisoners, carry this to the pedestal. Cursed shrines. Having to roll sigils for rubish dungeons you don't want to run.

    I have 2 chsracters to 100 (both S tier) a 70 barb and a 50 druid. So I have played plenty of this game.

    And the end game is just annoying. I get what they were trying to do, but it just doesnt work and its annoying. Why didn't the clowns who were in the closed beta point all this out. Especially the boring dungeon design and the rediculous amount of back tracking.

    Im giving it a 6 which i think is fair and that is taking into account the review bombing. Improve the end game a LOT and it might get an 8-9.    … Expand

    Bugs everywhere on release and still plenty of things wonky with it - don't get me started on the countless, highly dubious early user reviews on here all with similar wording about how it's the "smoothest launch" from accounts with only 1 review against them that also somehow share similar sentence structure and choice of vocabulary (yeah I know this is my first review on this account but this whole situation really annoyed me so I had to create it and get this off my chest).

    Questionable design choices - like I can remove all my skill points by holder square but my paragon points have to be unpicked one by one and there's loads of them.

    Slow levelling - by later levels it just takes too long to be entertaining and certainly too long for me to want to create alts/seasonal characters. I did a nightmare dungeon 4 levels above mine and got barely a tenth of a level out of it (plus none of the gear that dropped was above my level, what they hell?)

    They seem to want you to create more characters for different builds but that process just takes too long with the current levelling, you also have only 4 stash tabs which is nowhere near enough. Your other option is re-speccing your character which you can do anywhere you like for minimal cost but they made it laborious to do so and there's no option to save builds.

    If you want to slow down your combat then fine, but make it interesting
    If you want to make your dungeons take long then fine, but make them fun
    If you want to encourage more characters being created then fine, but provide basic stuff like stash tabs and faster levelling
    If you want to slow down levelling then fine, but make it rewarding

    This game is just okay. The itemization is terrible, and worse than previous iterations of diablo. The graphics and artwork are pretty good, and return to the roots of the first two games. I played up to level 57 got bored with garbage loot, abysmal pvp, and annoying lack of build flexibility. If you try to switch up your skills to try new stuff, your character will be unplayable.

Everything with this game is made Up of bad RNG mechanics. You dont get any satisfaction by grinding higher tiers in NM Dungeons, you just get random bullcraps. Dont even get me started with the helltide events. You get random stuffs that you need to look out for. So you sit there going through tons of THOUSANDS bullcrap variables , sure you get some obols you can buy RANDOM things. And worst part is that you cant even create specific dungeon Keys for your favourite Dungeons, it ALSO has to be random garbage. There isnt anything in this game that isnt lottery based , except that you can pick which lottery you wanna spend your time with. And Blizzard is purely doing what they are known for, nerfing Classes to obliteration and dosnt bat THE eyes when they see other Classes MELTING uber Lilith under 90 stupid seconds. 1: How about rewarding 1 item that your character actually could use after you finish a high end dungeon so that you actually feel rewarded. 2 : Make players to be able to PICK the exact enchants they want, and lets US atleast enchant 2 attributes. Not just 1. 3 : Let the players Craft the exact NM dungeon key they want to farm. Keep the affixes random .

    4 : Helltides chest/mob buff didnt work so Up it again. 5 : Nerf all classes to barbarians level so that they All Must fight a 7 minute fight. And they have to use 1 META BUILD and there is no way around that.    … Expand

    1. All of the Events, skills and playstyles are just reskinned from Diablo 3.

    2. The entire games design is based around being "annoying" not "difficult"

    3. Everything is meant to slow you down, not speed you up. This is antithetical to ARPG design.

    4. Half or more of the information on skills, abilities and items are bugged or simply do not do what they say.

    5. It's more repetitive than Diablo immortal. The entire arc of the game revolves around the same two things. Dungeons and World Events. Even half your quests are just generic dungeon crawls with uninspired layouts and boss mechanics.

    At this point I don't know what I expected. Diablo will never have the love that was put into creating Diablo 1 and Diablo 2. I'd get into the list of problems, but I'm just tired at this point and no longer have faith after the season 1 announcement that Diablo 4 will ever be the game we hoped it would be. $100 down the drain, and Blizzard doesn't care, they made more money than ever.

It seems clear that blizzard rushed this beta version out early and then got way too confident with the great reviews of people who played the great first 10-20 hours of the game. Then the game that was advertised to us turned out to be unfinished and redoing the same side quests each season and losing your progress was pitched as the exciting seasonal model. Blizzard was really close to nailing this one, turns out it was designed to get you to play long enough that your refund was no longer eligible and that's it.

    Edited to lower score after the laughable patch notes where they ignored all player feedback. I won't be buying blizzard ever again and this silly review is the most I can ever do since they denied my refund requests. (I bought platinum and they even lied and said I bought it past the time for a refund, a lie and a cash grab)

    I've tried to seeing the best out of diablo 4, but with the continuous "fixes" that were never asked for (increasing the time it takes to leave dungeon by 3 seconds to 5 seconds) and main problems of the community only addressed in words and not action I can't find myself to login and play a game that's become a job more than fun. It's already a slog to level a character but now with the xp reductions and reductions to defensive and damage pools (which damage btw will still be protiortized by players because it's multiplicative and not additive) this process now of getting a character to a point players are happy with will be excruciating. Especially for those who play casually and cant commit the 200+ hours it will now take to get just one character to level 100. They've also taken all the end game content and forcing your hand in where you can essentially play so unless your doing nightmare dungeons or helltides (which mind you helltides only happen every few hours and the best chest to open costs more now) you'll be basically wasting your time to do anything else....why should a game punish you for wanting to play other parts of the game? If you're reading this regardless of what they say season 1 will bring and help the game. It's in a sorry state right now and you may have fun at first but will be disappointed to find how much more the game could have been.… Expand

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
