    Very boring, very very boring. But graphics are good i can say. Skills looks weak, skill tree looks weak. No dept of the game and character creation. I will try again after few years, maybe there will be any endgame content. For now, its just main story. Game for one time.

Well i dont know how im going to start this review, so many things to say… played the game for like 2 months, got fun moments with friends, but all it end when they launch first the nerf patch and later de Season 1, the nerf patch was like OMG what are they doing they are destroying my 2 months, distroying all for what i work in the game… so wait well lets figure it out no drama but lets keep playing… BUT IT COMES FOR ME THE REAL “IM OUT” …. Practically i will need to start a new character again with less xp and harder loot only to get skins for my eternal character… but guees what with people playing the new season NO ONE IS PLAYING ETERNAL, soo for playing this game it forced me to start a new char that i will probably loose in 2 months when the season ends FOR WHAT? For season 2 when i will need to start a new character AGAIN and do everything AGAIN… no idea how this kind of game Works bit i will not playing this game for start character every 3 months…… Expand

    The game has fundamental problems with its Dungeon System, its Inventar system end the Overall Playstyle.
    You have stats that are not useable and have no really interesting Monster/Boss mechanics except you get Oneshot.
    Years of experience from D3 and they **** it up this bad.
    To bad i cant get my money back.

    Had so much hope for this game but the developers have managed to rob me of pretty much all of it. One poor update was one thing, but the lack of communication or care during maintenance and updates is incredible for a company with such vast resources. Throw someone's kid on twitter and have him text the dev team every now and then to let us know how things are going.     Not gonna go into the details of the latest nerf/patch, it's beating a dead horse at this point...but I will say that my online friends who I tried to convince to get the game...I now have told them to, "stay away...I quit and the game is broken..."

    You can say its fair enough for abut 50h.
    But dont expect more, this Diablo has zero recognizeable gameplay or mechanics and does nothing better then Diablo 3 and everybody know how good Diablo 3 is ... It's Activision Blizzard - so, I wasn't let down when I had to finally uninstall this abortion.     A very disappointing game which was released long before it was ready.
    I enjoyed the pre season playing the campaign, then diligently levelled my character to 100 getting quite bored in the process doing the same content over and over again.

This is why blizzard tried to slow everyone's progress, because there is nothing fun to do after it is finished.
    Endgame is pretty much empty. You run the same helltides, the same nightmare dungeons and the same whispers over and over again.
    I'll pick it up again in season 3 or 4 to see if they've actually made some endgame content yet, but if you've not bought it yet, don't bother, it's a waste of money and time.    … Expand

    Before the season started, I was looking forward to it. However, the overall gaming experience has been torturous. I need to invest more time and effort to rebuild my character, but there is hardly any new content in the game, let alone the recurring issues. If you are a new player, it is indeed a game worth experiencing. But as a seasoned player, I sincerely do not think it is worthBefore the season started, I was looking forward to it.     I feel so sad I bought a Ultimate Edition. Diablo 4 is not worthy to play. I give 1 score for main story. My Sor is so weak and diablo4 team nerf my level 80 sor again , that's .... Anyway, don't buy Diablo4, just wait for another 1 or 2 years. Then if you still interested, you can come back and check. Diablo4 is a mess right now. Don't buy diablo 4.

    The worst game I've played on PS5 with
    constant lag and crashed! I couldn't understand the point of making Diablo 4 with the need of server connection. This is not a MMORPG. I can only see the fact that Blizzard wants to earn as much as they could with season content.

    I'm huge fan of Diablo franchise but this game is a disaster. Nobody ask for a live service, it feel unfinished with no direction,story wise is good as usual and graphic pretty good, even with a Uber internet connection end up with rubber band in tier 4 and dying all over the place so server are bad quality for a live service. On top of all the above nerf here nerf there nerf again andI'm huge fan of Diablo franchise but this game is a disaster.     Dull, uninspired, boring game loop that literally puts me to sleep. The gameplay doesn’t change, regardless of level. Just an endless grind requiring no skill. Repetitive enemies in repetitive dungeons. It’s so tedious, I have no idea how this game got such high ratings from game review websites. It sucks.

    設計師顯然沒有玩過遊戲, 或是沒有玩到後期過, 才會把魔法使砍成殘廢.

    I think I'm playing the test server of Diablo IV and it will be published in 2043, thank you for BLZ staff to let me see such an amazing script, and oh my gosh I'm so lucky to spend only $100 for the test qualification because the game's selling price will be $1000 in 2043. Now I determine to restart my POE travel, see you in 2043 great game and wish my son will love his barbarian:)

    Seeing this im feeling as if they are out of touch with the players they are serving these games with.
    Seeing them doing this back and forth patch patch patch yet still didnt hit the bud yet, well wait on us, WAIT! yet another patch, nooo not there yet...

    Where to even start with this game… I have played countless hours of pretty much every Blizzard game ever and I am just blown away by how boring this game is. Blizzard has dropped some bad games on us before but at least they were some what fun. The biggest thing in an ARPG for me is the loot. In D4 you get the same loot from level 1-100. Putting “sacred” in the name of the gear is trulyWhere to even start with this game… I have played countless hours of pretty much every Blizzard game ever and I am just blown away by how boring this game is. Blizzard has dropped some bad games on us before but at least they were some what fun. The biggest thing in an ARPG for me is the loot. In D4 you get the same loot from level 1-100. Putting “sacred” in the name of the gear is truly an illusion that you are getting different gear. Its all the same except the stats can roll a little bit higher. The campaign was not the greatest imo. Most of the quests were annoying especially the desert escort quest that we all know we hated lol. The opening cut scene got me hyped for the story but it was definitely boring for a story about good vs evil. Skills in the game are okay, they could add more things to modify skills in different ways which D3 I think did a good job of. You could completely change how skills worked/interacted in D3 and it made the skills less stale, should have done that for D4 as well. Monster level scaling needs to go from any game ever. It ruins the feeling of leveling up and at that point why even have levels in the game to begin with? The skill tree could not have been done in a more boring way. There is very little choice and you just end up choosing the few passives that actually work with your skill of choice instead of making any decisions about what would work best for you. Sorc class is criminal for this. Blizzard has some how made legendaries feel bad when they drop, basically a glorified rare item with aspects that dont change how you play your character in the slightest. I didnt mind the stash tabs they had given us but hearing that they messed up so badly on loading everyones stash tabs is just so crazy, id expect that from maybe an indie dev but even then wtf???? The devs are also obsessed with this thing called “balance.” I truly think trying to achieve balance in a pve game is asinine. No one is going to remember a balanced game because then everything is just going to feel the same and not as fun. You dont remember cool items or skills from D2 because they were balanced… Last thing, the open world may be one of the worst decisions they could have made for a diablo game. It ruined the formula and now there is no formula in D4 you basically run around any where like a mindless drone because every thing scales and feels the same no matter where you go in the world. Not to mention the world itself is super super bland. Theres not one cool or fun or even different area in the game. This is the type of game I would expect from a small dev studio making their first ARPG ever. Instead this is what we got from the billion dollar company that has made 4 diablo games and have 20+ years in the ARPG market. Not to mention a Diablo game that doesnt even have DIABLO in it. Game probably would have been better received if they called it Litllith or any thing else. Dont play this game unless you LOVE being bored.… Expand

    Specific problems with this game:

    1. Gear. You will get so much gear. 99.99 of it will be useless. You will go 10 or more levels without finding anything better. The affix system means there are so many stats and the chances of getting anything to match your build is very low. After level 85 (or even before), there is no better gear and therefore no reason for most players to keep grinding as there is no reward.

    2. You will constantly be the underdog. Just as you start to feel powerful you will move up a world tier or more nightmare dungeon levels and wondered what happened.

    3. Crowd control. You will, especially in the end game, be constantly stun locked, frozen, dazed, knocked down and poisoned. Poison damage in this game if OFF THE SCALE. Most builds have 1 skill with one use to get out of this and it has a cooldown.

    4. Boring. The end game, and, indeed, the entire game is simply boring. You will do the same dungeons and events over, and over, and over and over again for little or no reward. All of the dungeons in the game are based on 8 or so styles, all have very similar layouts and all have almost identical sections and goals.

    5. Forgetful enemies. Every single enemy type in this game, right up from a lowly hedgehog to the biggest elite enemy of any type can have the same attacks, spew fireballs, throw poison, teleport, cold, etc. They all blend into a sense of sameness.

    6. The horse is terrible, with bad cool downs and it gets stuck everywhere. You can actually run faster with some builds.

    7. Combat is a mess of colourful explosions and crowd control effects and a screenful of enemies. Somewhere in there is you, it's like find wally. You will struggle to see the worst attacks coming because there is so much crap on screen.

    8. Combat is boring. Almost all builds are simply attack with basic skill, build up resource, attack with core skill and use other skills as and when cooldowns are over. Most of the time with my druid I just stand still holding core skill down until everything dies, popping the occasional cooldown skill. That's it.    … Expand

    Blizzard apparently released a buggy, unfinished, unpolished product and then starts nerfing indiscriminently without even understanding or listenig to the extremely unhappy playerbase.
    Just look at the extreme discepency between the "bought" critic reviews and the player reviews.

    Good: - build on an epic francize with lots of lore and interesting background - classes are in a good direction but lacking in build diversity (compared to diablo 3 it is a step back) Bad: - sad writing of story,    Can't really even give it a decent review. After patch bombs and negative reviews on the current date of 8/8/2023 the game is still in shambles without any improvements.

    Good:
    - build on an epic francize with lots of lore and interesting background
    - classes are in a good direction but lacking in build diversity (compared to diablo 3 it is a step back)

    Bad:
    - sad writing of story, its seen better days with regards to storytelling and this is the least worst thing.
    - lots of bugs still blocking progression, day 1 quest bug that is still not fixed.
    - unbalanced leveling experience with several progression walls (yes, several, not 1 or 2).
    - 80 to 10 frame drops out of nowhere with latest drivers (not running on the best video card tbh but if it can produce a steadily 60-80 for at least 80% of the time, the drops are irregularities)
    - features feel outdated, the grinding game is too strong and no incentive to come back
    - no point in continuing because there are too many things wrong with the game

    Worst bit is that after a month of break away from the game to give it time to stop disappointing it hasn't made much progress. 1 month of no real tangible improvement in a 2 mo old game, feels abandoned by devs only to have leads come up on stage to promise things.

    I really wish the best in terms of improvements, my frustration comes from the love I have for the francize and genre.    … Expand

    I loved the previous Diablo games. Getting loot kept me up all night until the break of dawn. With Although Diablo 4 has cool new features, it seems like the core game itself isn't all there. The easiest example, I've found myself falling asleep and dying while playing!

    After 600+ hrs of playing since 2nd of June till today, I started to realize that I wasted too much time on this piece of good game. V1.1.1 creates more bugs. Thank u developers of Blizzard for persuading me to let go, so that I will have more time for other games with quality and especially endgame experience like POE. Adios!

    Way too overpriced - max 20 hour fun game. After you've reached lvl 50 or played through the campaign, it gets soo utterly boring. Inventory management got even worse now you have to check every item seperate for stats.

    Don't buy this game. The devs are completely out of touch with the players and their game. Loot is boring and most is trash. The endgame consists of running the same 15 dungeons 100 times. They want to put you on the treadmill but have no reward to entice uou to keep grinding.

    This gets a 2 simply because it looks good. Literally its only saving grace. After getting a necromancer to somewhere in the 30's, i found myself with the same problem i had by the end of D3, falling asleep running right into an enemy group.     Not sure what the developers are thinking, Don't seem that the game is developed such that you would fun. Whenever ppl find a way to have fun in the game, they will find ways to nerf it and leave every other issues that ppl are complaining alone ( or fix in future patch)

The campaign is great and I had a lot of fun when playing through that part of the game on my initial play through. The problem is that you don’t play Diablo IV for the campaign, you play it for the seasons and the end game. Hopefully this game will get good someday, because the bones of a great game are there, but Blizzard is going to have to make leaps (like they did with Diablo 3) to get it to that point, and I just am not hopeful with the direction that company has been headed lately.     Can’t forget all the times I was at the end of a dungeon and the server crashed and I had to do it all over again. There are too many of those dungeons to collect aspects (special boosts to certain character attributes and abilities). You may get sick of them very quickly.

    D III was more fun.

Do not waste your money on this game, it is not a gratifying experience - and grinding does not provide the fun it used to because of the over-engineering of drops; if you have a good mathematical eye this game does not provide a single surprise.
    And yeah, the story is ok, but very bread and butter - and the lack of development clearly point to a greedy need to be able to leave the story openended (because a fortune is not enough to pay for a full game, apparantly).
    The lack of offline mode is -3.

    Seriously off-balance system where enemies level with you and only way to play at high level is with specific unique hard to get items and build to go with. Developers solution to these builds is nerf so you can't even level with most builds.

I was level 76 by the time I got the unique I need for my build. Quit the next day, why play any more? End game is laughable. They patch the game 3 times a week to fix the issues from the last patch. Slowed everything, the leveling, the killing times, everything, just so you wouldn't be able to complete battlepass and would be forced to buy leveling tiers to finish it in time. For reasons unbeknownst to all players the devs nerfed the fun part of the game into the ground to prevent a handful of players with no life from having it too easy. The experience grind and wasted time on super lowAfter the patch just days before Season 1 I would recommend that you save your money. The game had problems just like Diablo 3 and Diablo 2 but it was still inherently fun. For reasons unbeknownst to all players the devs nerfed the fun part of the game into the ground to prevent a handful of players with no life from having it too easy. The experience grind and wasted time on super low rate unique and uber unique drops as well as changes to abherrent cinder drops in hell tide makes this game something that only the developers love.

    Nous nous retrouvons avec un QoL absent, une UI dégueulasse très mal adapté.
    Une gestion des degats absurde...
    Des arbres de compétences très pauvre...
    Une itemisation totalement foireuse...
    Un équilibrage à la ramasse...
    Des stats qui ne fonctionne pas correctement...comme les resistances...
    Des soucis de performances...(sur de grosse config)
    Des bug très pénible, pouvant induire la mort sans vrais raison légitime, à cause du bug de certains sort...

    Et cerise sur le gâteau, avant même de corriger ce qui ne "fonctionne", Blizzard déploie un patch catastrophique qui en fait que nerf, et ruiner une partie du peut de build viable en endgame...
    Tout en commençant déjà à introniser des mécaniques de rétention, ce qui clairement n'augure rien de bon, surtout que certains élements de QoL demander, vont apparaitre en item limité dans le season pass, comme des token pour reset les tableau parangon.

    Fuyez ce jeu de merde, aller sur Path of exile, Last Epoch, Grim dawn, the slormancer, Diablo 3, vous aurez peut être un jeu moins beau, mais au moins vous aurez des jeux plus fun, qui vous prennent pas pour des cons...    … Expand

    Can't create new character after patch for season 1. Crashes right away. Good work Blizzard. I got a mobile aswell so should be good, trying to push it into PS5. NO WORK HELP!

    Not really sure I can add value over what thousands of other players are saying. The developers management team are just bad. No, worse than bad. Their choices here have single handily destroyed this game beyond what any competition could bring.

    I like to point out that there isn't much difference between nightmare and torment except for several super-rare uniques and stronger monsters. Revealing the season 2 trailer two months early would not make this game better. Blizzard should play (not test!) the game yourself, focus    I am glad I can choose a 0 score for this game. Blizzard does not understand what the users want or enjoy.

    Now here comes Diablo 4. I have really expected this game, i have even pre-ordered it, something that i don't do with blizzard's games. I thought that finally blizzard learned from their mistakes and that they will finally release a complete playable game focused to offer satisfaction with new and revolutionary features, like Diablo 3 had. But i was very wrong. This is Blizzard's try to return to the roots. But not to the roots of Diablo. The innovations in this game exist in other games for decades. Most of them are half-backed, are there to be used in the marketing materials, to create the impression that this game is more sophisticated that it really is. PVP, for example, was stolen from the brilliant The Division, with extractions and rogue agents. Other "innovations" are the opposite of what Diablo should have been. The open world is in fact a repetitive map with assets randomly placed, it is exactly the same on all areas the only difference being the textures. And what is worst, it is not procedurally generated, it is the same map over and over again.

    Another thing that i hate is the way that blizzard made the gear design, it looks awful, except the paid gear. All the gear that it's free is garbage, looks terrible, for all classes, i am almost sure that they have done this on purpose to make players buy their overpriced skins. I have never ever saw in any game such a bunch of ugly looking characters... I mean, the NPC's have some cool armours and YOU are dressed in rugs.

    The class building is very straight forward, you can only make a few build. Is more Diablo 2 than D3 which is a step backwards.

    It's also very woke, looks like Bronx, most NPC's are black.

    And now the performance part. The cutscenes on PS5 are 30fps making the game feel cheap. I have tried to like this game so i have dedicated a whole day to play it. But i couldn't, i got disconnected 5 times and eventually i was unable to login for a full hour so i had to give up. While i was able to play the game lagged non stop.

    Oh, and the story... It really shows that blizzard didn't even try... It's like, they gave up... The writing feels like the regurgitation of all the clichés blizzard had in their sleeve. Ity feels like blizzard took all the writings that they had for the other Diablo games, threw them in a mixer and extracted random parts and put them in random order. I swear, it's the worst writing i saw EVER in ANY game, AAA or indie. Diablo 3 was like Lord of the Rings compared to Diablo 4.... The prerendered cutscenes are cool, though.

    Another annoying thing is the shop. Not only that its inside the game (instead of PS store liked most games have) but there is always a dot on the shop button that reminds you that your duty as a blizzard client is to spend money.

    Just play Diablo 3 instead, it's the superior product from ALL points of view. Maybe buy Diablo 4 after 3 more expansion patches (i mean, 500£ later). Maybe at that price tag it will be eventually playable.    … Expand

    There is no really point to play that game. You must finish campaign which is repetitive and bad to reach rest of content which really does not exist.

    First 2 beta and server slam was fun. First 2 weeks was fun. Things started getting more MEH as patching and hotfixes came. Last patch (1.1) pretty much destroyed the game. So much for season 1 hype.    Update: Watched latest fireside chat. I now have ZERO confidence these people will know what the F they are doing. Zero interest in season 1. I'll recheck things in season 2 or 3.

    The gameplay it too easy, the story telling in the quests is too fetch questy, there is no social interactions, there is no trading, no PVP till end game, and the zoom in makes me so bored.     The developers continuously work to remove any 'fun' out of the game. As soon as anything positive is posted about an ability, piece of gear, or skill/aspect, the developers flag it as an item needing to be nerfed. The company is actively working to remove everything fun out of the game.

    Check the difference between the 'critics" and the community, I think we can safely assume the mainstream reviews were bought off, too afraid to critic Blizz or lose future review access. The game is a shallow, pointless and dull experience. It's junk. I regret wasting money on it.

    They've done it again folks! Go check out Atlas Fallen, D4 is a grind game with little feeling of accomplishment or power with a dedicated team that only focuses on slowing the game down to cover up the lack of content.

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
