    Detroit is a game that makes you feel like you are the character you feel the emotions that characters. The Animations ambience and characters emotions directly hit you I owe a thank to quantic dream to making my 11 hours a unique experience. if you don't play this game still please go and play it.

    The Graphics were Extremely good, and the controllers were surprisingly easy to figure out for a gamer that usually plays on a PC and not a PS4.

    I have just finished watching someone play the game on YouTube. And I can truly say that this is probably the best single player choice-making game that has ever been released. From the graphics to the EXTREMELY hard choices you have to make to the story line and other possible endings, this game is truly worth the money and worth your time. Trust me this game will not disappoint you and II have just finished watching someone play the game on YouTube.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have come back to edit this because I was so angry writing the last review that I nearly destroyed the Blue Ray this game was on. It is a bug free, pretty execution of an Interesting story. If you take it (as I did) as an analogy for the African American journey, then you sure as hell better not play the way Malcolm X would, this will destroy all the story lines and you will be punished by EVERYONE you care about being killed. The ending I got I believe to be racist, it is telling people that violent revolution will be harshly punished and is ultimately pointless as we will murder your children with machine guns (this literally happened at the end of my play-through). I maintain a 4/10 is warranted with the play through I had.

    Factoring a story that involves choices, the writing alone for the "Detroit: Become Human" is min-blowing. Each story has major turning points, and what the user does actually does effect the story in a major way. The game-play is sure to keep people excited.

    Graphics are brilliant, gameplay is like other David Cage games. Story is interesting enough to make you want to see what happens next. I expected a game that will be in 7-8 range but it exceeded my expectations, realistically it's 8,5/10 for me but I'll give it a 9

    I’m only about 6-8 hours in but this game deserves some praise! Absolutely incredible motion capture and acting. The story is fascinating. I can’t pick a thing wrong with this game if you love a strong story focused adventure. Why it didn’t receive higher scores is beyond me.

I am doing this because epic games does not have a user review section and I am aware that this game is getting hate reviews for some ps4 to pc transition problems. THIS GAME IS AMAZING. It's been a while since I got to play a decision based game. Unlike, TellTale games, Detroit Become Human actually makes a story that changes as you build it to be. I would study Asimov, google things to make decisions that a machine would make. Questions like "If two humans are fighting each other. Who do you listen to?" The characters really portray what you want it to be and I am very satisfied with my ending.

    I do regret not holding Alice as Kara at Jericho, but I did that because my motivation of Kara saving Alice in the first place was because she was a human child. Spoilers so I won't talk more.    … Expand

Sono stati impostati senza nessun sentimento, solo pronti ad essere servili con i propri padroni. Ma che succederebbe se essi iniziassero a provare dei sentimenti? Veri sentimenti?
    I personaggi principali sono tutti legati a famiglie con vari problemi che vogliono toccare il giocatore e farlo riflettere. Un umano può essere più freddo di un robot impostato a non provare sentimenti.
    Ci troviamo così ad assistere ad una ribellione vera e propria.
    Come altri telltale game del genere, il giocatore ha la possibilità di poter giocare con tutti i personaggi principali e deve fare delle scelte. Così come il UD, le relazioni interpersonali sono importanti e devono essere coltivate.

    8.7 is a joke. Bought the PC version, had to refund it, the game is that bad. The controls are absurd (at least with keyboard+mouse). The graphics is mediocre. The story is unoriginal and plain silly, full of in your face social commentary. The game deserves 5/10 tops.

I love interactive cinema and believe that this genre is closest to art. But the subject Cage chose is very difficult to tell interesting and even harder to give something new that previously wasn 't. And at theDetroit: Become Human brought back faith in me in David Cage 's creativity. After the masterful Heavy Rain and the controversial Beyond: Two Souls, I didn 't know what to expect. I love interactive cinema and believe that this genre is closest to art. But the subject Cage chose is very difficult to tell interesting and even harder to give something new that previously wasn 't. And at the beginning you have only childhood happiness, all mechanics work, graphics on the PS4 Pro look amazing, and the main thing you start to believe characters. How to smell the disappointment of realizing that Cage reduces such a beautiful story with a lot of choices to the usual story "Do androids dream of electric sheep?" And only the last hour of gameplay makes it clear that Detroit: Become Human is still closer to games, not movies. So you can forgive Cage 's move to succumb to the opinion of most players.… Expand

    I loved it all the way from beginning to end, played it together with my girlfriend (taking turns) and the story is highly engaging so nobody will get bored even if you're just looking at the screen. The action is very well combined with the story-telling, and you need to make a lot of decisions, which usually have consequences.     I play video games to be entertained, not to marvel at technology or praise the quality of graphics.
    Detroit kept me hooked for a few hours but then it just started to drag due to onerous conversations, slow character movement and QTEs

Must buy, especially for fans of Indigo ProphecyEasily one of the best experiences on the PS4.     Amazing game... the story is so emotional and dramatic, I cried several times! All the characters are likable, and the graphics are amazing. The best feature of this game of course is the fact that your actions have consequences, and I played through the game a good 6 times to try out different paths and outcomes and wasn't disappointed... it was the best game of the year 2018 for me!

And, obviously the strongest point, the story: interesting, emotional, consistent, deep and immersive… In general the experience, is really powerful, as audiovisual experience, not necessarily in videogames. For example, Black Mirror: Bandersnacht looks amateur comparedDespite the good critics that I read, I did not expect that level in the game. Technically, awesome visuals and audio.     Even if you hate QTE like him, in this game are well developed with the tension and traction with the user.
    I have checked 3 variants in the finals and I am astonished of the complexity and investment on scenes that most likely only 10% will enjoy.

    I didn't expect to like this game but I was bored 2 days ago and fired it up. Already finished 1 playthrough. Had to keep playing to see what would happen next. Good chance I will play it again at least once to see what I can change in the story. It looks like there A lot of could be a lot of different paths and endings

    Secondly, different choices produces different paths to the end of game (or particular characters in stories). You never know whether your decision today will affect your choices in future or not.

    Great game.Awesome story and good characters. Story depends on choices you make,so you must focus on what are you doing. First choice based game i ever played and i must say that i enjoyed it from start to end. Game is really looking good aswell. Only thing that i dont like about it is quick time events,but story and choices you make are what this game is all about.

    Im absolutely blown away by this game.I entered detroit with a sour taste in my mouth from the previous david cage games,I was preparing to trash every piece of it but found myself hooked for an entire night to finish the game.

    although my one criticism of this game is how rushed some of the plot twists/relationships feel. while it only affects a very small group of characters, it still leaves more to be desired
    I'm honestly stunned at the amount of hate this game is getting because its from david cage or because of the "its not a game,its a movie" mentality. I didn't like any of the previous games david cage did, but I still feel like detroit: become human got judged depending on what came before it instead of whats in it.
    and to those saying that the "gameplay sucks" maybe you should look into a game from a genre that actually focuses on gameplay instead of its narrative    … Expand

    The game is f***ing great. You can run it two times choosing different paths. The only disappointment for me was there are only a couple of places where you actually choose a path but not in every dialogue or decision as it was said by SCEA

    Я много раз ловил игры подобного жанра на обмане пользователей, элементарно на повторном прохождении всегда выяснялось, что выборы, так мучительно сделанные в первый раз, на самом деле ни на что значительно не влияют, а если вам удалось спасти какого-то персонажа, то он в любом случае практически не учавствует в дальнейшем сюжете, то есть становится филлером. Именно за это я и не люблю этот жанр, разработчики как-будто ленятся создавать контент, который игрок может не увидеть и вместо этого наполняют игру фейковой вариативностью, создавая иллюзию выбора во-первых, а во-вторых, старательно следя за тем, чтобы никакой контент не прошёл мимо игрока. И это крайне непрофессионально, если уж взялся за интрекативное кинцо, так уж будь добр, сделать контента столько, чтобы вариативность действительно была. А то как про вариативность и важность принимаемых решений в маркетинге кричать - это они могут, а как реализовать её по факту - нет, только создают иллюзию. Этим самым в том числе и злоупотребляли игры Дэвида Кейджа, до выхода данного произведения.

    Данную игру я специально прошёл 2 раза, дабы убедиться в том, что ну уж в этот-то раз хоть какую-то вариативность завезли. Ответ: ДА, это оно. Маркетинг в этот раз не соврал, и это однозначно лучшая игра, когда-либо выходящая в этом жанре, в народе ласково называемом "интерактивным кинцом".

First and foremost, I want to confess that this is the first time I've ever played a game of this genre, where the emphasis is on the decisions you make, as opposed to the manner in which you make it (Eg how well you execute a headshot/ how well you've timed a dodge). There are still moments when you have to toggle the right stick within seconds to evade on-rushing cars or mash certain buttons to execute a slide but to avoid spoiling the game for you, all I would say is that you definitely exert less "physical control" over the actions of your in-game avatar. Yet, to my surprise, this has not hampered my enjoyment of the experience one bit. The graphical fidelity is other-worldly. I have played a lot of games with good graphics over the years (God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Death Stranding) but for one reason or another, this game looked the most realistic when projected onto my TV screen. Not "one of", but "THE MOST". There were points during the gameplay, where I actually felt I was looking at an actual human being. Again, I don't have the technical background to explain to you why, so I can only describe it to you as is. But this game is so much more than just about the graphics. The plot is, in my opinion, very good (not the best this time, but still, very good) and the way the director intricately links your actions to results onscreen is a perfect epitome of the concept of causality. Almost every decision you make has an impact on the storyline and sometimes, these can be the seemingly most minute of decisions you're faced with. The motion-capture is excellent and the different background theme tune for each of the protagonists blend in seamlessly with the characters they're trying to portray. The artistic direction throughout this game is phenomenal. The different lighting and the different camera angles used for each of the three main characters complement well the story they're trying to tell and overall, I have to say I am deeply impressed with the work Quantic Dream has done for this masterpiece. The one slight complain I would have about my experience is the abundance of invisible walls that you're bound to run into. Sometimes, this is cleverly illustrated (through the use of AR sign posts - you'll get what I mean if you play this game) but in some cases (in the Zen Garden for instance), this breaks immersion. But all in all, I would highly recommend anyone to purchase this game and I think the development team should take immense pride from the beautiful work they've managed to conjure in Detroit. 9/10 without a doubt.… Expand

The best aspect of these games is that they are truly non-linear, and every decision has an actual impact on the plot and events of the game. Beyond Two Souls was the supernatural/ghost version of this genre, and then Until Dawn was the "survival horror" game. Detroit: Become Human feels like an extended episode of The Outer Limits, for better or for worse. There are some genuinely interesting characters and plot devices. There are also many cliche and over-the-top moments filled with cheesy, on-the-nose dialogue trees. The tone of the game feels a little pretentious at times. Different controversies are injected that parallel real-life social issues in very obvious ways. The game is enjoyable for what it attempts but I wouldn't say it's imperative for anyone to play. It's just something to jump into when you need a break from other gameplay styles. It's like turning on a bad sci-fi movie when you're bored and there's nothing else to watch, it keeps you interested enough to see what happens in the end.
    The game has many hilarious moments, both intentional and unintentional. They really want you to take the struggle of the androids seriously, which at times seems really sincere but other times feel like B-movie outtakes from a bad sci-fi. This game works on many levels but I think Quantic Dream needs to try another game genre. Heavy Rain took everyone by surprise because it felt fresh at the time, and now we've had three more spiritual successors that have imitated that game in almost every possible way. There are some new elements like the crime scene investigation that makes Detroit: Become Human stand out. It's just a little tiring to go through the same kinds of scenes with the same kinds of QTE's and the same kinds of dialogue options and decision trees in every single game they produce. It's very clear that David Cage is more of a film buff than a gamer. It would be better if he tried to reinvent the wheel instead of giving us carbon-copies of the tried-and-true formula every time.
    This is not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination. The graphics and soundtrack are incredible, and the voice acting is very convincing. It achieves what it sets out to accomplish, which is to provide an interactive-movie style game. I hope in the future though, we see a little more creativity from this developer in terms of actual gameplay. Give us a game that we can invest countless hours into and becomes truly engaging, not something that simply fills the gap in between triple-A releases.    … Expand

    The characters are well thought out: Connor, Markus and some of the NPCs stealing the show. It doesn’t help that her plot is not intrinsic to the overarching story, where Markus and Connor’s are. She carries the ‘civilian’ experience of a civil war, so while her journey is emotional, it’s not for everyone. I found her story to bring the enjoyment of the game down. For what it’s worth, I found Connor and Markus’ scenes much more enjoyable, with an emotive experience, and Connor’s plot definitely trumps the whole experience. All in, an excellent game. I’m on my fifth play through and I still have a good 30-40% of gameplay still left to view.    … Expand

    I personally enjoyed Detroit Become Human. The story is great and very exciting, and the pacing is pretty much on point. The many decisions will alter your story, in many different ways. The graphics are also stunning. Yes, the gameplay is just quicktime event after quicktime event, but the story is a good enough reason for playing Detroit.

And unlike Tellatale games you choices can actually impact the story.

    Obviously there are some pacing issues and plot holes but I don't know the game in the genre that delivered better result as the whole package. Both me and my wife have a blast with the game and unlocked significantly different endings. I can't wait to replay some scenes to see different story options. And the game looks beautiful on 4K HDR screen, one of the best HDR usage I ever see.

    As for the so called "professional" critics some of them seems to be blinded by personal agendas, petty grievances and inflated egos to do the job properly. Luckily people can decide for themselves what is good and what is bad. User score of 8.7, especially for such niche genre, is proving that the game is great. At least for people who can still enjoy games for what they are.

    I also recommend Until Dawn, another interactive movie game trashed by pretentious "journalists" but universally loved by real people. It is far less ambitious than Detroit but still is very enjoyable.    … Expand

    David Cage macht bei diesem Spiel wieder eine gute Performance. Es fühlt sich mehr wie ein Heavy Rain. Trotzdem wird das Potenzial nicht ganz ausgereizt. Da hatte ich schlussendlich mit Heavy Rain mehr Vergnügen. Was man Detroit allerdings sehr zu gute heißen kann ist die Steuerung. Sie ist immernoch schwammig, aber eben nicht mehr so schwammig wie bei den Vorgänger-Spielen.

    Like Until Dawn, D:BH does a great job at throwing some unexpected consequences into your butterfly-effect choices. Sometimes the consequences to your choices are predictable, and sometimes they're not. Keeps you on edge and really hoping your characters don't end up dead.

    An amazing game with lots of choices. The storyline depends on your way of thinking and takes a lot of turns. The main characters are very interesting in their own way and let you think about our own world with our technology and AI. A really cool experience.

    El juego es muy atrapante, te hace reflexionar mucho, es un juego que puedes jugar en familia (por las desiones a tomar) y vez como va la historia y te encariñas con los personajes y quieres saber que pasa y ademas fe contar con varios finales, el juego es muy disfrutable y muy rejugable. Simplemente me encantó.

    If you like games that prioritize story above else then look no further. If you love telltale walking dead series, then this is the game for you! The story is touching and it is exactly what I want in a game.

    If you want to shoot things and play an open world game, go play 99% of the AAA games that are available to you but leave this 1% for us to enjoy :)

When you play the story you really get attached to their characters and sympathize with their motives. The game also delivers a great soundtrack to imerse you in the moment. In the end it is YOUR story that pushes the pace of the game every decision you make matters. Which multiples the DBH's replay value as the choices you make will decide the faith of your characters and the road they will follow. DBH deals with heavy themes that society either shy's away from or tries to ignore instead Detroit purposefully fuses these themes with it's main story to create an emotional roller coaster in some of the scenarios you will play. I myself never played Heavy Rain thinking that the type of gameplay mechanics wasn't for me. A few years later I picked this up on PS+ and I couldn't put it down a game I thought would quickly bore me kept me hooked on and I wasn't satisfied until I reached the end.     The story are soo good and real( no gun who appears from nothing like Rambo).
    living in the fear to fail. In the question of morality.

    But..the reality: one day, this will happen and we will have to deal with it.

    I always wanted to be a cops.. soo this game was really immersive. How Would I deal with it?

    Le pongo un 3 por la buena grafica que tiene , pero la verdad se me hizo muy aburrido el juego, realizar cosas cotidianas, tratar de ir a un lado pero no poder ir porque hay una pared imaginaria, el juego se basa en realizar acciones y tomar decisiones, por lo que me parecio aburrido en ese caso voy a ver una pelicula, pero bueno los gustos son diferentes...
    Ahora me doy cuenta q prefiero    Le pongo un 3 por la buena grafica que tiene , pero la verdad se me hizo muy aburrido el juego, realizar cosas cotidianas, tratar de ir a un lado pero no poder ir porque hay una pared imaginaria, el juego se basa en realizar acciones y tomar decisiones, por lo que me parecio aburrido en ese caso voy a ver una pelicula, pero bueno los gustos son diferentes...

    Detroit: Become Human delivers a story with a ton of possible choices, and a lot of questions for a player to bear afterward. If you like it when games make you think about them after you play them, this is the game for you. Stunning visuals and music score, make you forget about some weaker points of the game. But all in all, it is an enjoyable experience you should not miss.

    Detroit: Become Human looks and sounds great, and includes key player choices throughout, though it could have benefited greatly from a tighter script. While it’s commendable that Quantic Dream tried to cover hot-button issues in a big-budget video game, it works better when focused on the personal character moments than the bigger themes that don’t dig deep enough to make a meaningful impact.

    Although the narrative is fairly linear, there are enough branching paths over the course of the game to make it feel like your actions matter. That allows Detroit to still be fun even on multiple playthroughs – and for an interactive movie, that’s a rare praise. [Issue#231, p.68]
