    Say what you want about the developers and their media fiasco. It has nothing to do with the creativity or execution of this game. I think this game is a success. It's pretty clever to allow opportunities to change responses. Personally, I am sticking with my original decisions and am happy to playthrough again making other choices. Fuggedaboutit!! Superb is one way to describe it. Great story and even better how they eventually intertwine. All in all a job well done. I would be remiss if I didn't include any cons and really there is only one that is worth mentioning because at the end of the day it boils down to personal preference and pet peeves. I'm of the opinion this game is darn near perfect. What I had a problem with is the controller. At times it didn't execute on a first try and that caused my character issues. Other than that I think this game is worth the immediate pickup.… Expand

    Until Detroit Heavy Rain was always my most favorite game by Quantic Dream, but since finishing Detroit: Become Human I have a new favorite. I love and empathize a lot with each playable character as much as with most of the supporting characters. I loved reading all the articles you could find, the political influences inspired by all discussions we have today. To me, it's one of the deepest single-player and story based game I have played in a long time and I am grateful for this experience. Regarding the decisions you are given, I have to say that they are not always 100% clear and I sometimes did not quite guess right what the game wants to achieve with some of the options. Gameplay and camera also could have been better which is why I only give 9 points from 10, but overall i am very excited and would not mind to witness a continuation of the Detroit universe. (I'd be mad with joy about a continuation.)… Expand

    The game is mediocre. This medium is in a weird place right now. I am all for games like God of War and The Last of Us. They have great story telling and hook the player with character paths of growth. But most important they have GAME PLAY. The very thing that separates this medium from Netflix. Like the story all you want, hate people who are against David Cage if you need to (I have no idea what he did wrong besides not know what real game play is), but there is no compelling gameplay in Detroit Become Sleeping.     I would have given the hackneyed gameplay a pass if the story was remotely interesting and passable, but unfortunately, no. Worse yet is the racism and the use of Black suffering as a crux to show off how oppressed the androids are, going as far as to use Civil Rights movement references, Black Panther iconography, and equating the struggles of androids to that of black slaves. Any attempts to be non-offending, to be non-racist, are steamrolled over by black androids singing slave songs and running away on the android "railroad."     A lot of people are going to flood the reviews with hate because it's a David Cage game, I'd say ignore that. This is the best written and acted game Quantic Dream has ever made. I beat the game last night. It is easily one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had and is probably the greatest choice based game ever made. It was intense. I felt genuine fear, sadness, joy, cried during aA lot of people are going to flood the reviews with hate because it's a David Cage game, I'd say ignore that.     I don't know what's going on with David Cage and all the negative reviews about him, but I'm having a great time with Detroit. Granted; this is my first time playing a game like this. I feel Detroit is close to a 9, but decided to 10 to counter balance against all the auto negative reviews on here.

    One of THE best looking games I've ever played - and definetly the best from Quantic Dream.
    Only thing keeping it from being a 10/10 from me is the "flow chart" after every "mission" or "scene" which totally breaks the immersion for me, personally.
    Other than that, it's the second best game of 2018 so far, only lacking behind God of War.

    Beautiful graphic and deep emotional story game, it is a qte game, if you like those type of games with great graphic and good story line, then this game us for you.

    It's the best game they Quantic Dream have done yet.

    Story was interesting and you keep wanting to know what happens next. Sometimes of course you will find somethings predictable but it wasn't big enough to make you cringe.

    Gameplay wise it's follow the same way as the other games but much smoother, the controls feels really good, where in the other games it could feel clumsy at times.

If you like a good story, or if imagine how the world will looks like in a few decades, if you are sci-fi fantasy And wonder how artificial intelligence might evolve, there Is no better place to be then in Detroit. Eh llorado muchas veces con el juego ya eh mirado varios finales y lo seguire jugando para ver mas ecenas de la historia amo a cara.

    This game was pure excellence. I very much like Telltale style games and other David Cage games. This is the best game of this style I have played. This is even better than Heavy Rain, Indigo Prophecy, and Telltale's Walking Dead Season 1. I liked the story and decisions were so fun. I just liked the setting and the characters quite a bit. I guess this is an actual improvement from his last game, the one with the Secret Underwater Chinese Ghost Base, since Cage's strength is within small scenes which he has sprinkled about the game. I have to admit I really didn't want to play this, but here I am reviewing it after getting halfwayYet again, David Cage proves that he can "Make ze bad game" while still making tons of money.     Great story, great graphics, fantastic animation, and good charathers and almost felt relatable what reality was back then. QuantumDream has done it again. Almost feel like playing a movie but it has great connections to what the characters are going through and how they feel about it. There were few parts of the game that felt a little boring but it has it moments.

There is hardly any combat, When there is combat, it is too linear. It gives me no freedom on how i want to attack my enemies. Like I said earlier, the game plays it for you. These are struggles some of us go through everyday. I play games to escape all of that. This is the last thing I want in a game.

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is no reason to touch this game again. $60 for a 10 hour campaign with no replay value is a cashgrab. I recommend you wait for this game to drop to $10 before picking it up. If all you care about is story, just watch it on youtube and save $60.    … Expand

    this is by far better then heavy rain and looks goregous.

    An amazing game in its genre. Great art direction. The only reason it doesn't get a 10 from me is because I never felt like the game managed to make me sympathize with both sides of the conflict. Instead of a story about the rise of artificial consciousness and rights for AI, it becomes a story about bad people abusing innocents.

    What I mean is that I can find only one adult human that    An amazing game in its genre. Great art direction. The only reason it doesn't get a 10 from me is because I never felt like the game managed to make me sympathize with both sides of the conflict. Instead of a story about the rise of artificial consciousness and rights for AI, it becomes a story about bad people abusing innocents.

    What I mean is that I can find only one adult human that I can like and the game makes it too clear that the androids are capable of experiencing suffering caused by their owners. It doesn't help that they fight their programming for self-preservation to help people in need. They aren't "robots", they're "different people".    … Expand

    This game will get a lot of hate because it doesn't do "gameplay" in the way people assume gameplay should be, as if it was written in some rule book. But games would be boring if they were all the same. I personally like this genre of gaming, and this is a must play if you're in to story/choice driven click and point games.

    An another Cage Movie's... but story is just weird. There are so many inconsistencies, very badly written passages. If you criticize the game like a movie, it's really worthless. And unfortunate it's an interactive film, so the scenario is more important than for no other.

    Cant say any positive about this game. Its still kinda boring like Beyond Two Souls or other games from Quantic Dream. Too much dialogs and a story that no one needs on earth. I dont have anything about David Cage, its just the "genré". the only good thing about this game is the superb graphic...

    I still personally prefer most Telltale style narratives, but I'd be lying if I said I'm not enjoying almost every second of Detroit: Become Human. Fantastic visuals and storytelling.

    Plus your choices actually matter, so that's a plus

    Amazing visuals and a gripping story. By far the best David Cage game yet. If you like a narrative based single player structure where choices actually matter this game is for you. Yes, the quick time is an irritating feature of his games, but you get used to it. For those who like this type of game, HIGHLY recommend.,

It's not a propaganda in anyway, it's more of a provocative message. This is part of the story that I do not enjoy. Rather than entertaining, Detroit narattives may make you feel uncomfortable, annoyed, and depressed. It's not what I'm expecting from Detroit, I was expecting more of a sequel to Heavy Rains or similar to that in terms of story and narratives.

    To me Detroit is not a game that I would like to play for fun or enjoy in my free time. I had enough politics in my daily entertainment, all I want is to be free from it. Similar games like Heavy Rains and LA Noire are much superior in terms of story and satisfaction, guaranteed! (Heavy Rains focuses around the people involved in the criminal case, while LA Noire focuses on a very interesting cop).

    Save your money by renting the game or borrow it from your friend or wait for sales. Otherwise, you can always watch your favorite streamer or Youtube channel to see what it's all about. Also, there are many new games coming out this year that are far more fun and interesting and less about social politics and feeling involved.    … Expand

    Shame about how overtly political it is, outside of the ham-fisted political views, the movie was rather well made. Unfortunately, the writers did a poor job with representing both sides of the conflict which left the story rather flat. Blatant propaganda.

I'm a huge fan of David Cage games and I gotta say that in my opinion, this is one of his best games that will change this genre forever, just like Heavy Rain did back in the day. The game's world is so detailed and believable. The three main characters offer different stories, which come to one at the end. Connor reminded me of Heavy Rain's investigation scenes and offers new mechanics to the genre. Kara has a completely different story tied to her. She breaks her programming and risks her life to protect a little girl named Alice, who is a victim of domestic violence. And finally, we have Markus who is this leader of the Android revolution who also has a heart-breaking story.

    It's rare we get a really great game in this genre and I consider this game a huge milestone and one of the best games that can be considered art ever created. It's also an important topic as this is probably how our would will look like in a few decades. We will face similar problems, just like the characters in Detroit. I applaud David Cage and hope he gets even more budget for his next title. For anybody thinking about picking this game up, I recommend it for 100%, you will be satisfied and consumed by it, you'll struggle to stop playing it as the story is very engaging. If you have friends to play this game with, or if you want to play it alone and focus on the story, it doesn't matter, you will like it, I assure you.     I gotta this first of all, this is the best looking game on the Playstation 4 in terms of realism in graphics, I can't believe even the base PS4 can run this game with these high end graphics and stuff. Story wise I think its more entertaining then their pervious installment such as Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls, If you wanna play a game that can pull you into its world, definitely get this.

If I had to give it a complaint it would simply be I want more, at only 8 hours long it might be a bit short for some, that said there is enormous replay potential, if you want to see all the branching paths the game will take 30I'm absolutely blown away by this game.     This game is one of QD's best work the scenarios with multiple paths are the best part of Detroit and I look forward to each one. Still the game is far from perfect with some linear scenarios only having one outcome in the end but I still look forward to replaying it and seeing some of the things I missed on my first playthrough.

    The game has already payed of for the prices, I'm 4-5 hours plus an hour or two in extra content and I'm SLOOOOWLY playing, this is better than heavy rain, cages best writing yet even though still tad short of being great writing. It ticks every box for the genre, adds more to it and then wraps it up in an extremely pretty package.

    It's the first game like this since HR that I've wanted to explore everything, read everything and slowly stroll through the enviroments. It's also the first game to give me agency in a way that I can roleplay.

    Even, Chloe the menu bot which I had a 1 hour staring at her micro expressions and as you can clearly see they designed her to animate like a robot in some places other aspects are more human than anything I've seen in gaming. Oh and the extras in this game are among the best collectibles I've seen in a game.

    I was very iffy on buying into this as these types of games have worn me out but this title has rejuvinated my love for the genre or at least is giving me a boost in the same way Until dawn did, after so many bland tell tale games.

    If you liked until dawn, Indigo prophecy or heavy rain, you'll like this. Even Tell talers or fans of the life is strange will be blown away by this.

    Quantic Dream vuelve a hacerlo y se marca un señor juego, con una historia adulta pero muy bien guionizada, una aspecto realista muy cinematográfico, unos personajes muy carismáticos (sobre todo sus secundarios) y en definitiva una obra de arte. Además supone un soplo de aire fresco entre tanto juego clónico.

Cage does not deserve hate for this game and also remember that 300+ other people worked on this while feeding their families and beloved ones. Show some respect.     I have been playing it since it came out, and looking forward to it for years. It exceeded my expectations by ten fold (And I had high hopes and expectations). I love this game genre and I could not be prouder of Quantic Dream. This is a masterpiece to me, and I rate it a 10/10.

Gameplay is very engaging to begin with, as every decision and action does feel like your making a difference, but as played more and more the game became more predictable and less thought out with its twists and scenarios. Also I feel like my decisions really didn't have consequence, don't get me wrong there was the occasionally surprise but overall it felt very much the same 'meh' feeling. Overall, this had a lot of potential, but unfortunately they have fell short of what could have been a brilliantly crafted experience that made you actually think about life and how you can influence it. 6/10… Expand

    if you liked heavy rain you will love detroit ignore negative reviews Detroit BH is one of the best games you can experience on ps4, both it's narrative and graphics are magnificent. it's so exciting and emotional it's not flawless but it totally worths playing

    Detroit: Become Human delivers a story with a ton of possible choices, and a lot of questions for a player to bear afterward. If you like it when games make you think about them after you play them, this is the game for you. Stunning visuals and music score, make you forget about some weaker points of the game. But all in all, it is an enjoyable experience you should not miss.

    Detroit: Become Human looks and sounds great, and includes key player choices throughout, though it could have benefited greatly from a tighter script. While it’s commendable that Quantic Dream tried to cover hot-button issues in a big-budget video game, it works better when focused on the personal character moments than the bigger themes that don’t dig deep enough to make a meaningful impact.
