    Not a big fan of intaractive-movie games,but it is okay im not enjoyed the gameplay,but narrative is the best part of this game,but i recommend it to play.

    Really enjoyable - like an interactive movie. Your choices and actions decide the course of the android/humanity. Really enjoyed first run through; playing again to get different outcome! It has lots of video cut scenes, so definitely not an open world format. I wasn’t quick enough to hit circle, triangle, square, etc in some scenes - so lead to outcomes for some people’s (like death)Really enjoyable - like an interactive movie. Your choices and actions decide the course of the android/humanity. Really enjoyed first run through; playing again to get different outcome! How is Detroit pointing out on problems of differences between people and androids isAmazing game!     I follow lot's of discussions about it too.
    There are many great movies and also games which tackle it very good. But Detroit tackles it so blunt it hurts. I played till the end because I loved Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain but after the credits came I felt it was not worth my time and money.     Absolute masterpiece! I really love this game because of it's story, the characters are well written, the futuristic world is really fascinating and the decisions are really great (it's a pity that the story isn't that long ;) ). I absolutely recommend it, my rating is 95%!

    Amazing is really the only word that can describe this game. The characters, story, music, all of it. I can't wait to get back into it at some point to discover the other endings and to see what else this game is hiding

    Great graphics, though utterly intolerable gameplay, so boring, I couldn't engage with it at all! I tend to persist with all games and this is one of the few that I wished I'd never bought. I just kept thinking 'who cares'. Spending time trying to work out which ways that the computer would accept to jump up to a window or onto a building etc was too dull for me.

    The graphics are amazing, and the atmosphere is great. My only complaint is that the story can be pretty mediocre and full of cliches. If only it had a bit more sophisticated plot, it would be no doubt, a masterpiece. Can't wait to see the next game from Quantic Dream.

There are 3 main playable characters and after a while you start to connect to them. The character development is awesome, the game has a ton of decisions which will affect the ending.     I bought this game the day it released on PS4. I was enticed to write this review after hearing about its PC release (although I'm a bit late). I gave it another playthrough and it absolutely holds up. This is the gold standard of story games.     Quick Time Events are a large part of the game and necessary for it's play style but forcing players to swing their controls around in the air really destroys any tension created in the story.     On top of this I would frequently not get to make a decision because my reaction time was not quick enough or I was unable to decipher what the symbol on the screen wanted me to do with the controller. On occasion missing QTEs due to dropping my controller from attempting to swing it around to hit the previous prompt. This lead to me feeling cheated out of getting to play the game, and I had no interest in going through plot points again because I messed something up. The punishment for a split second mistake is just far far to high.

    All of this would have been a moot-point if the game provided any accessibility options in the controls whatsoever.

    Ultimately I do not recommend you buy or play this game.    … Expand

    This is the best game I've ever played. Very touchy and nicely written 3 cross scenarios and perfect soundtrack compositions. I love this game and from now on I'll keep my eyes on this company; and ofc david cage. thank you man.

    I wanted to like this game, but it's so cheesy. The characters are so over dramatic, they're architypes. I could not finish the game, and am profoundly confused by it's praised story? And I'm as left winged as it gets. Sheesh

    For the game it is trying to be, im giving it a 9.5 out of 10. The graphics is phenomenal, the story and narrative is as good as a hollywood blockbuster movie. All of the characters are very relatable charming beautiful and in character. It is one of the most memorable games. I love this. Why not 10? Well its concepy is relatively simple. If you havent played this game it is highly recommended

Interesting world of androids which make the uncanny valley nature of these games actually work given all the characters are robots. Has all the usualy david cage issues of awkard dialogue and weird character development but again works better than usualy given the characters android status.     Great story driven game, the game does not have gameplay that much but yes the realism, dialogue choices, outcomes, story, voice acting especially Connor and Hank is all amazing and the characters in the game are well written

    . Voice acting. The effort the actors put to emulate the emotions are beautiful.
    . Main menu. Man, i played almost 4 hours per day (average) for like 15 years and I've never seen a main menu that creative and beautiful. Chloe say things based of the choices you make. Awesome!
    . Lore. It's a really plausible future and lore connects. Besides that the philosophical discussions you can do during and after the game is huge.

    --> Negative points:
    . Game play. Isn't a game, it's a interactive movie. The only thing you do is pressing buttons like a mini-game of God of war.
    . Some of the dialogue options don't resume what the character will say if you pick it. Ex: Option is determined; you pick that and character make a hostile speech.    … Expand

    I will be honest this game is best game i ever played. Some people saying this isn't a game this is a interactive movie or like this. I don't agree with that but i respect it. The game has a lot of cinematics. Story is absolutely amazing.

    I just love that setting and David Cage's game is absolutely wonderful in it. Yes it has all restrictions of the genre, but at this time we have more interesting quest segments and story-tree is really huge. This is really good game in interactive story genre. Maybe the best at the moment.

Detroid: Become human, well, honestly, I expected more from Quantic Dream: ( a story about robots, but we are not given a decision-are robots good or bad? the developers of the whole game say that androids are good, I think the opposite. *possible spoilers* arrange meetings due to the fact that they are slaves and want freedom? don't you find it funny? they can't feel, but the developers say you should feel for the androids . * spoilers are over* the plot is 5/10 (3 points for Conor), the gameplay is not bad (6/10), but the game is good because after your action, the whole story can change, it's mildly surprising for this (8/10). I think that I wasted my money, I didn't like the story, but if you are a huge fan of this genre, I advise you to buy (just like a techno reviewer))), well, the overall rating is 4/10(3 points for Conor and 1 for the variety of action choices)))… Expand

The story had me on the edge of my seat nearly all of the time and sent shivers down my spine at some moments. It is just a truly incredible game.

Depending on which platform you buy it, it will cost you 20 dollars on ps4 or 10 on sale, or 30 dollars on steam or 22 on sale as I am writing this. I believe that that for that price it is definitely worth it, especially since that is the price you will normally have to pay to go to the cinema for example.    … Expand

    This game is amazing for its story and the characters are real and well written. Connor is one of the best characters that i've ever seen in a game.

    Firstly, this is a QTE driven game-movie. The game-movie part I have no problem with, but the QTE I do. In one instance, I was reaching to grab a drink of water in what I thought was a cut-scene, but it changed into a QTE. I failed the QTE. Since this entire game was built on not having a "Game Over" screen to allow you to repeat a section, it basically screwed up my entire game.

    Secondly, the controls aren't much and what you do get is can be frustrating. Forced camera angles at times. Having to hold R2 to reposition gets old fast. The buttons you push for QTEs are different for everyone, event though the character is doing the same action on the screen.

    Thirdly, games like this are marketed in way that leads you to believe that you are in control of the story. In this case that's not entirely true. I made a decision that got a character killed and that decision affected the rest of the game very negatively (see spoiler section below).

    Spoilers:
    First things first, I played Detroit: Become Human after playing The Last of US Part 2, so I was in a conflicted mindset to begin with. The first half of the game I was fine, I like David Cage's story and where it was going. The Kara & Alice / Connor chase sequence had me on the edge of my seat with my heart racing. Alice nearly got run over and Kara was nearly hit. I found myself say, "No, no, no, no...." throughout the entire event. You had me. Overall I was about 95% positive with Kara, about 75% positive Markus, and about 50% positive with Connor. Then things went downhill fast.

    I made a series of decisions that went bad for Markus, Connor improved over all, and Kara was nearing 100% positive. Markus died at the march, martyring himself. I made one bad decision in the Archive Room with Connor and I was not able to figure out the Jericho location. He was deactivated. So all that was left was Kara. Since the story was still progressing, North became the defacto leader in place of Markus and she starts a revolution in the streets. And I have no control over them. I cannot control the flow of the game now. Even though I had a nearly flawless Kara storyline, Everyone died. Luther, Kara, and even Alice. I was so pissed when that happened. I don't advocate for walkthroughs or cheats very often, but had I known that would have happened - an NPC's decision was going to totally wreck a nearly perfect storyline - I would have just looked for a "good ending" walkthrough.

    Next time, just give me a "walking sim" without the annoying and distracting QTEs. I would have enjoyed it more than what I played. Having to repeat a small portion of gameplay would have been more welcome that having to play for 12-15 hours and fail the entire game - have to hear a little girl cry right before she gets shot.

    Update: I decided to try a walkthrough to get a "happy" ending. I got a little ahead of myself and made a wrong choice.... not replaying 6-7 hours. I'm done with this game.    … Expand

A couple times throughout the game you'll think to yourself "what if I made a different choice there?" And after the level you'll go back and make that different choice and it counts as a different ending, but it's the same thing, the only difference is that a character 5 levels from now says a slightly different sentence. No matter what you "choose" Marcus leads a revolution, Connor investigates, and Kara is a mom. "But anon the endings are different!!!" You say, well yes the endings are different but it's just the very end, you could get the same experience from this game as if you played the whole thing as if you played the last hour. So don't buy it, it's not worth $40, watch someone play it or if you're actually looking for something where you're choices matter play an old fallout game, or play an actual visual novel.    … Expand

    Detroit is fantastic. Bravo to all involved! It is some of the best voice acting i have ever seen, backing an excellent story and experience. With such a range of choices and potential endings the sheer vision and undertaking for this game is breathtaking
    The characters come across real, relatable and genuine cant wait to see what quantic does next!! Thanks for a memorable journey! What a treat!!

But the ending is usually not exciting, the story you literally create, but it does not have a surprising basis behind it, which makes the ending not so exciting.     I think this game is overated. Has some good things, but overall it's super pretentious and tell us about things that were talked decades ago. I think it's worth a try but don't expect an impressive story.

    Amazing game , graphics and story. The story was so exciting that I felt nervous after completing story , all your changes metter , you can kill all character at first hour of game or you can complete story without any kills , I really recommend this game.

    Detroit: Become Human delivers a story with a ton of possible choices, and a lot of questions for a player to bear afterward. If you like it when games make you think about them after you play them, this is the game for you. Stunning visuals and music score, make you forget about some weaker points of the game. But all in all, it is an enjoyable experience you should not miss.

    Detroit: Become Human looks and sounds great, and includes key player choices throughout, though it could have benefited greatly from a tighter script. While it’s commendable that Quantic Dream tried to cover hot-button issues in a big-budget video game, it works better when focused on the personal character moments than the bigger themes that don’t dig deep enough to make a meaningful impact.

    Although the narrative is fairly linear, there are enough branching paths over the course of the game to make it feel like your actions matter. That allows Detroit to still be fun even on multiple playthroughs – and for an interactive movie, that’s a rare praise. [Issue#231, p.68]
