I was really looking forward to this game! After 10 hours of playing: It felt like a buggy, boring, lifeless, lonely, and restrictive treadmill. Sad. Also, why the cultural/political inserts? Also, why are NPCs so dumb in this the age of ai? Nothing new here.

For a game people been waiting for since 2018. Its medicore at best. Funny enough I think that NMS did the space game type thing better. For the amount of time this took, and the games that got neglected by bethesda cause this game was priority is funny. This game isn't even optimized the best on pcs running a ryzen 9 and 4090. This is sad.

Some things like horrible AI, the mechanics are confusing, the game itself is GIANT, but there are times it's 2023, other games do much better like ship fights to me it feels like your ship is stuck in the air and things come to you and not you go even them, it's strange I don't feel like I'm piloting a ship in space, space exploration is nil, they are load screens for instances and that's HORRIBLE it's like I teleport to stages and I wasn't coming from space, in man sky it did that 1000 times better, even the planets there at the beginning having nothing was and it's incredible that feeling of leaving space and entering a planet, nowadays with so much content or no
man sky becomes a much better game than Starfield.

The PC optimization is TERRIBLE our lady, a 3060ti with i7-10700K and 16 RAM. For God's sake, how does it run at 30 40 fps?

Then a guy puts a paid DLSS mod and the game goes to 90 FPS, Bethesda is a mediocre game company getting more and more lazy.

Games not terrible but I have a 4070ti with 7700x for this game and its still highly unoptimized, its a fast travel, loading screen, cut scene simulator, story is ok so far, I wouldn't pay for it, but its probably the best thing to come to Game Pass so you may as well play it there but I won't be keeping my subscription when it ends.

Be realistic, THERE IS NO OPTIMIZATION. I won't take back this comment/review unless you make huge differences about optimization and 60 fps mode. Indoor areas have different FPS, outdoor spaces have different FPS and the ship itself has completely different FPS. Sick of fps drops and changes. This optimization deserves this score at most.

Second thing is the graphics, this was proclaimed true next-gen title well the graphics sure as hell don't reflect that, it's not terrible but it's nothing special either they also didn't add very good textures no doubt so that the game would run on **** xbox series s which has lower amount of V-RAM, just look no further than water quality or reflections.

Third thing is the Performance and this is where i would score this game a big fat zero. In New Atlantis in 1440p native/ultra(shadows high) i got 60-70fps on 13600K/RTX 4080..... i can get this much in Hogwarts Legacy or Witcher 3/Cyberpunk with RAY TRACING ULTRA. This game has no explanation for such demanding hardware it doesn't use RT / Lumen / Nanite or Unreal Engine 5 while we're at it this game is made on ancient Creation engine which is no doubt the root cause of bad performance and lacking graphics quality. The only good thing about performance is that it's not stuttering and running a flat frametime.

As if all this is not enough the game lacks actual options which are critical for PC: NO FOV , NO Gamma Setting, No HDR even though it exists on xbox (it's terrible implementation even so...), NO DLSS even though it took me 20 min to enable it via mod wtf? This is 70$ game why the hell must i correct the devs laziness or stupid AMD under table deals ????

Honestly i question the sanity of devs who game such high reviews, Microsoft clearly spent a lot of $ on reviewers to get them on board. Personally the current state of the game is 4/10 for me, simply bad.

It's honestly very hard to point to anything really good that this game has on offer. An obnoxious encumbrance system that will have you fighting with items from the literal first area you enter, dull space content that consists of "flying around in a big empty box" and pressing one button until you're ready to press another", the same awkward controls and lackluster gunplay we've come to expect from Creation Engine games, with none of the charm of the Fallout or Elder Scrolls universe to fall back on to carry an overall lackluster experience. Oh, and minigames. Cause that's what we want in our RPGs - silly minigames.

This is not the "game of a generation." This is barely even the game of a week. The only fun in this game is the fun you make for yourself. If that's the sort of experience you're looking for, then so be it, this might be the game for you. But the main thing I can think of when I play is "An elder scrolls game got pushed back years for this garbage?"

2023 was full of Mindblowing Games and then comes this game around which is literally Skyrim/Fallout but Space.
I don’t want to compare this game with No Mans Sky, BUT NMS makes so much right which this game doesn’t, that is a real bummer after all that hype from all those people, now i know I should never get hyped up from others who don’t know anything about the game and more specific not hyping up a Bethesda game since (except for Doom) are pretty much just the exact same but with a different style. It’s probably safe to say that ES6 will also be literally just Skyrim 2.
Don’t get me wrong, Starfield is okay to play but it’s just that: Okay.
I felt nothing, especially since most characters look hella weird, most planets not only lifeless but also quite bad looking, outposts/Mines etc. start to repeat after some time even with the exact same enemy positioning.
After such a huge year with so many bangers, this game is quite disappointing, if it would have came out in 2021/2022 it would have received probably better.
Only good thing I can say about it is the Ship customization, that is really a great thing they did, sadly tho it’s not enough to give me the feeling of an insane game when everything else feels so short and flat.
And I’m not one of those who care for 60 or 30 FPS as long the game is awesome (like tears of the kingdom) but those amount of menus and loading screen are a complete immersion breaker for a „the galaxy is yours“ type of game

If Bethesda could've kept their scopes on one star-system which wouldn't even have to be our own, then I think this could've been a really neat game. There is Bethesda world-building in the game, but you have to traverse so many clunky menus and UI and loading-screens that it is just a hollow shell of a game with pretty skyboxes. Yes you can take over ships and customize them, but Bethesda really missed the mark when they decided on not letting you take parts from one ship and transfer them to another, that alone would've been huge! Base-building is Fallout 4 just more inconvenient and clunky. I really really wanted- and still want, to love this game but it is impossible when you know what this game could have been. Expand

The following review represents my experience with Starfield after completing my first playthrough. My system specifications are as follows: I5-12400F CPU, 32 gb 3600 mhz DDR 4 ram, GTX 1080 Ti GPU. The drivers are up to date and the game is installed on an SSD. A performance mod helped me to play the game with decent framerates. My in-game stats: https://imgur.com/a/vtWKEq6

A performance mod helped me to play the game with decent framerates. My in-game stats: https://imgur.com/a/vtWKEq6

    Positives:
    - A good role playing sci-fi game with an average main story line. Some of the secondary missions are actually well written and interesting.
    - My familiarity with the previous titles helped a lot.
    - There are a lot of things a player can do, although some of them are quite boring.
    - Ship customization is fantastic.
    - Guns and gun modifications are actually ok.
    - Gunplay is responsive and a huge step forward when compared with the previous titles.
    - Planets and ships look awesome as well as the wildlife.
    - Loot variety is good.
    - Soud design and voice acting is above average.
    - Modding support will provide a long lifespan for Starfield.

    Negatives (Laundry list)
-The game is not worth that 100 $ price. Wait for a discount.
    - My main issue is with the game difficuilty. At level 40, i was still engaging level 5 spacers in a level 40+ planet. I have started my run with hard difficuilty settings and I was swimming in money and high tier gear sometime after i reached level 20. My character was very strong and i was able to take out even level 50 creatures without any effort. And i did not change my preferred firearm and sidearm since i found it sometime around level 25.
    - Weapons lack a decent balance. Some are over-powered, some are absolutely useless.
    - The world does not scale up with your level. That is unfortunate.
    - Fast travel options and lack of food/water consumption breaks the game immersion. It felt like 2/3 of the space part of the game is scrapped half way during the development.
    - Most of the assets or dungeon designs repeat itself way too much. Same cave, same abandoned mining outpost, same abandoned military out post vice versa with the same loot locations is copy-pasted to the each world (There are hundreds). The game becomes repetitive after some time.
    - The game seriously lacks enemy variety.
    - Some basic features such as jumpjet usage or pickpocketing are locked behind the perk system.
    - 'XP earned' notification at the center of my screen every time i kill an enemy distracts myself way too much. I have disabled it very quickly.
    - UI design is bad. Inventory management is horrible. Mods fix some of the issues.
    - Space combat fails to deliver what i was hoping to see.
    - During one half of my gameplay, i was constantly overloaded. I have modded the carry capacity from 100 to 1000 and the mod solved my problem. I regret the skill points i have invested for more weight carrying capacity. There are some bad design choices here.
    - Outpost building mechanic is half baked. I will give an example, there is no item filtering for your storage containers. Logistics get clogged. Outpost structure placements are seriously bugged. Actually ahrd to do anything with it.

This is where Bethesda has dropped the ball:
    - Regrettably Bethesda has once again used the archaic 'Creation engine'. If starfield was released in 2010, it would be an awesome game. But in 2023, it looks outdated. With that budget, a better game engine, such as Unreal (Nanite technology) could be licensed.
    - PC gameplay is terribly optimized, or not optimized at all. When compared with other titles out there, such as Cyberpunk, there is no justifiable reason to demand such high PC specs.
    - No FOV slider, had to mod it.
    - Creation engine brings serious limitations of what could be done with the world design, also known as 'Loading screens'.
    - Even a single room shop requires a loading screen. Going to space is a loading screen. Landing is a loading screen. Getting back into the ship is a loading screen. Using an elevator is a loading screen. Opening a door is a loading screen. You get the idea, right?
    - NPC design looks bad, animations are not good either. Regular non-interactable NPC s such as pedestrians looks horrible. Something wrong with the eyes.
    - AI is terrible. Sometimes the enemy you are engaging does not even realize that he is being sniped bullet after bullet. Characters get stuck a lot, pathfinding is not working properly.
    - Dialogue screens are outdated. No meaningful, rich or rewarding NPC interactions either.
    - Sneaking does not work, i have tried and abandoned it very quickly. Reverted to one of the previous savegames to get the skillpoint investment back. Do not bother.
    - Same-gender relationships inside the game presented as something normal (A ring quest).

What is commented above is my personal experience, your mileage may vary. However i would suggest someone considering a purchase to wait for patches to fix some of the issues and more mods.

My favorite parts of BGS games in the past was travelling along a path and finding some magical Location, npc, etc. In starfield there is none of that it is all Reused Procedural Generated assets.

If this released 6 or 7 years ago it would be good but today it feels a few years behind the masterpieces we have been receiving this year.

I wish I could reccomend this game but this is another example of Bethesda relying on modders to fix their mistakes.

A bland mess of poor technical optimization, shallow mechanics, and uninspired writing. It's a game that feels fifteen years old, looks five years old, but runs like it came from ten years in the future even on top of the line hardware. It's a game that feels fifteen years old, looks five years old, but runs like it came from ten years in the future even on top of the line hardware. The performance issues cannot be understated: this game relies on frame generation (FSR2/DLSS via mods) to achieve anything near a playable frame rate.

Even if you have the hardware to run Starfield at an acceptable level, there's not much here for you. Starfield time gates its limited content behind grind at every turn. Lockpicking, core to the worn out Bethesda formula of looting, is gated behind perk points and a required amount of containers/doors lockpicked. Trying to pick this perk late in the game will leave you looking for Novice tier locks for hours, as everything you find is Advanced, Expert, or Master tier.

Most of the character progression or even core game features are similarly gated behind perks. To name a a few, these include: targeting for space combat, access to weapon mods, the jetpack, parts for your ship. All of them are perks, requiring you to both grind out the experience points as well as the perk-specific challenges to advance. While this isn't a terrible system, too much of the game is gated behind this. You want to build a network of outposts producing something for you, fully unlock shipbuilding, combat or social skills? Expect to sacrifice all other character progression for dozens of hours to do so.

The economy is similarly time-gated, and there seems to be no way to earn credits legitimately in-game that's faster than looting drops off enemies. While you can capture other ships and sell them, you'll need to register them first. This registration fee will eat up 90% of your profits, leaving you with 1-3k credits for selling off a ship. A amount comparable to selling a single weapon or space suit dropped from an enemy. Considering that you would've also looted a couple of enemies when taking of the ship, you earn more from them than the ship itself.

Speaking of things that don't make sense outside the context of wasting players time: planet exploration. This consists of an instanced zone with a handful of points of dubious interest and a dotting of resources for you to mine. These points of interest are several minutes of walking in a straight line apart, giving you plenty of time to take in just how empty the world feels.

The outpost system is just as half-baked as it was in Fallout 4. At least you're not getting called up to defend them every five minutes, but that's about the only good thing to say about it. While it lets you ship resources between different outposts, you're not given any way to filter items from arriving shipments. This means you can at most receive three types of resources per outpost. While you can theoretically set up a series of outposts to automate production and make credits this way, I'd expect that you'll make more by looting enemies.

Finally, a brief word on quests and companions. The writing assumes that the player is always willing to meet it more than halfway, that the player will always be interested in whatever exposition is being spouted at them. It feels equally lazy and arrogant, as if it expects you to happily engage with whatever nonsense is presented to you. From assuming player motivation in the presented context, to player interest in cardboard characters, all while expecting the player to disregard massive plot holes.

To wrap this up, Starfield is an iteration on the same game Bethesda has been trying to make since Morrowind. This time it has a space skin, uninspired writing, massive grind and terrible technical performance. Save your money and time.

Flying 50 light years to give some entitled old lady an energy drink wine cooler…. Who wrote this? Who thought this was a good idea. She’s the rich and famous Mrs.Coffin and she sets a desk even a Bethesda intern would laugh at. Exploration is the worst of any triple A title I’ve played. It’s like Bethesda play tested a bunch of games. Stole their basic premise and strung them together on this ancient engine and SOMEHOW made it work without exploding. But in the process left every captivating every titular concept their stole from under a pile of rocks on a moon. This game has no character, no flavor other than butt crack vanilla. You lick it a few times, you nurse it, you spend time with it. Just to have someone tell you that your breath smells like a**. This game suffered from the same thing Halo infinite did. Lack of direction in any one specific goal. A subpar storytelling experience and combat that would make fallout 3 itself laugh. Where has the immersion and the experience go of past titles. Who chose this as our future? Because they need tasked with something else. Story telling may at one point been their shtick. But it certainly isn’t now. I had such high hopes for this game. It’s beautiful, it’s HUGE. But in that it’s huge it’s also EMPTY. Like a big a** box of multi flavor chips. You can’t wait to open it to see what flavors you have and of how much each it contains. Just to find out the box is half empty, and there are only two flavors. 9 bags of plain, and one bag of salt and vinegar. You’ll open the box ( the game ) and think. “ WHO IS THE A**HOLE WHO PACKED THIS??!!” And that’s the game. 25 hours in I’m 100% out. The only way anything can be saved is by modders. The very same group that saves every Bethesda title every time it needs saving. Shame on you Microsoft and Bethesda. You made a beautiful soulless gutted empty space menu simulator.
And you should feel bad. You’ve wasted all of our time and money. And you could have just been making ES6. But no, Todd wanted a space game. Sometimes it’s best if Todd doesn’t always get what he wants. For f**k sake just put him in a room with the current No Man’s sky and Everspace if he wants to know how this game should have felt.

After sinking hundreds of hours into Skyrim and Fallout 4, this game just fails to meet the same experience. For everything Starfield does great, it does something else worse.

    Pros
    - Fantastic graphic quality and worlds. Environments and items all look great, there's a lot of attention to detail
    - There are tons of side quests to do. You can find people to talk to to go on adventures everywhere in populated areas
    - Ship building is fun. Managing your ship is rewarding, and there is a lot of modularity; or you can buy a new ship

    Cons
    - Loading screens. Anywhere you want to go is a loading screen. Going off planet, going to a new solar system, entering buildings
    - Copy paste POIs. Many named POI's on planets are the exact same building, in many cases the loot and enemies spawn in the exact same positions
    - Combat AI suffers. Many times in combat, enemies will get stuck looking at walls, or just staring at you as you sprint at them with an axe. Your companion will also stand in the open staring at enemies not shooting.
    - Core gameplay mechanics are locked behind certain skills. Things like using your boostpack, targeting specific enemy ship modules, pickpocketing, and more are locked behind first leveling up a skill to unlock these mechanics. To me these feel like core mechanics that should be available from the start to use.
    - STAREfield. Literally every NPC you walk past will stare at you. They won't stop.
    - Typical Bethesda new game jank. Items will clip, NPCs will judder in place as they get stuck running into objects or trying to interact with stuff, had one instance where my entire game took on a heavy blue tint, like the gamma got maxed.
    - Looting and UI are a mess. Trying to sift through objects to loot is a chore, and using the scanning feature to highlight objects only uses 1/3 of your screen. You can also not open objects like lockers or shelves while your scanner is open, so you will constantly be switching back and forth if you're a real loot goblin.

It's Fallout 4 in space, but with worse story, gameplay, and AI

Bethesda have gotten lazy riding the success of Skyrim for too long and it shows. Starfield is a disappointing game that falls flat on multiple fronts. Overall the game is a bore, it often feels like a chore than a game as I try to find some resemblance of immersion or fun.

The entire world is bland and it feels like the game was designed by committee with very little of a unifying vision which never shines through.

The main story lacks excitement, and the characters are lifeless and forgettable. I don't think I can remember even one name. The dated AI and gameplay mechanics leave much to be desired, making it feel like a relic from a bygone era and it relies too much on a cheap looter shooter mechanic gameplay loop. Seeing a gun with random stats and a fancy colored name just doesn't cut it as engaging gameplay if the entire game around that is lacking.

The role playing aspects are seriously barebone and the Bethesda team need to consider finding some fresher and more passionate writers. The story is boring and the entire attitude of the game is milquetoast. The dialogue is a cross between millenial writing and marvel avengers-esque which leaves a sour taste in my mouth and makes me feel the writing team are too old and out of their depth or lack any imagination or talent.

Exploration is virtually non-existent, since the game relies heavily on a tedious menu-driven fast travel to get about. As a player I was expecting to fly in space to different worlds. This is not the case. You do not explore space in this game in your ship. You fast travel to different planets and run in a straight line in a 100m x 100m square patch to one of the dozen randomly generated sci fi dungeons which you soon memorise the layouts by heart. Exploration is perhaps its most disheartening aspect of the game as it was heavily marketed as "The Skyrim" in space. Unfortunately they never innovated their old game engine and the studio relies too heavy on randomly generated content rather than the hand crafted world building the studio was known for.

The ship building is my favorite part of the game and I think the team did a great job making it. It's cool how you can drag components together and this reflects to an actual walkable and liveable space in the gameworld. Too bad the ships serve very little purpose apart from a space dog fight minigame.

A lackluster and mediocre experience for those seeking an engaging sci-fi adventure.

A solid Bethesda game, but still falls short. If you're expecting another Bethesda experience, you've got it. Just don't expect anything more. If you enjoy these games, it's a fun ride, but not without bumps.

Firstly I'll be comparing the game to another Bethesda game, Skyrim. Compared to Skyrim, the cities in Starfield are just as good, if not better. However, this comes with a price.

Firstly I'll be comparing the game to another Bethesda game, Skyrim.

Compared to Skyrim, the cities in Starfield are just as good, if not better. However, this comes with a price. There are too few handcrafted settlements to explore. It leaves the world's and galaxy feeling empty. This is supposed to be offset by the civilian outposts which are procedurally generated among planets you explore. In theory it's a cool idea, however it gets old fast. There are only so many types of outposts you can encounter, and they never have named NPC's. The quests they give will always be the "go kill this guy" type of quests with infinite variations. And the way they are randomly placed in the world and are devoid of meaningful characters reminds me of Minecraft villages. The worlds of Starfield don't feel immersive like Skyrim. There is a certain charm that's missing that comes with a handcrafted world. The way that the environment tells a story, the way the environment compels you to move to a point of interest, and the feeling of randomly stumbling onto some cool location, is missing in Starfield. Instead, points of interest (POI) are marked on you map and scanner, and you explore by just walking towards the POI on your compass. There is no stumbling onto some small scene that a dev lovingly put into a small corner of the map. Everything is procedurally generated outside of POIs. This is not the kind of exploration that's fun for me. The game suffers from a lack of weapon variety. For example for lasers, there's only 1 laser pistol, 3 rifles, and 1 heavy. It's really boring to have the same weapon model you had since the beginning of the game, with it just doing more damage. Skyrim had many different types of materials for weapons, and each had their own model. A greatsword had iron, steel, elven, orcish, and daedric variations. In Starfield I specced into lasers and pistols, and using one model for 28 levels was so disappointing. I'm disappointed because I thought Starfield would push Bethesda's boundaries, but it doesn't even match the level of Skyrim.

    Now, onto the good things.

The game is roleplaying friendly. I enjoyed the game the most when I leaned into roleplaying a starship captain. Because let's be honest, Bethesda aren't known for their in depth combat systems. It's combat is serviceable. Lean into it's strength as an RPG and you'll have a good time.

Building ships is great fun. The builder is a little clunky, but if you can get past it there's a lot of fun to be had. You can make ships of all shapes and sizes, and it just works. It's something you can sink your teeth into, and I appreciate that. A complaint I have is that you cannot buy a ship part, and store it to use later. You need to be physically present at the ship yard in order to use that part. This forces you to travel many times to many different shipyards, back and forth.

In conclusion, Starfield is a solid Bethesda game with many flaws, but still fun in the end. 7/10.

Half the planets look unlit, no shadows. The other half are deserts.

Cant dive underwater. Cant customize ship interiors. No reason to customize ship exteriors because space doesnt exist and ships are just houses reskinned.

No ground vehicles. Looks weird to see 100 percent pedestrians in a sci fi setting.

Hammer the sprint button and pray for the loadscreen to come faster.

Wont run properly on a 3070. No, the day one patch didnt fix this.

Water looks worse than Fallout 4. Lighting looks worse than Skyrim. Faces are plastic. Artificial materials (metalnand plastic) look decent.

No real time reflections. No global illumination. Where is this performance going? It runs worse than No Mans Sky or Cyberpunk, but with none of the cool parts of those games.

All you do is run, shoot, and collect rocks. How is this an rpg? Fewer, smaller cities than Skyrim. Too many invincible NPCs. Too many generic NPCs with no schedule and no life and little AI.

    Reskinned plants from Fallout 4.

I've played every Bethesda game since Arena, but this one is a letdown and makes me frightened for Elder Scrolls 6. Bethesda seems to be bleeding capability and moving backwards.

Want exciting combat and/or real exploration? Then sorry, this is not your game. The critics who gave this game a 9 or a 10 are not objective in my opinion or got payed for it.

For me this is a game like Mass Effect, but without the great story, storytelling, cities, good combat and the amazing characters. I just expected much more from a project of this size and scope. It's been in development for 7 years by a developer that has all the budget, tools and manpower they need... . It's like they know that the modding community will add all the extra's and fix their game.

    My feedback:
*Very good and sharp visuals for the most part, but some stuff just looks weird.

    * You get thrown into this game with little to no explanation. Good luck figuring it all out!

    * Building your own ship is really cool, but you don't use it for what it's intended to be. So it's a cool and fun gimmick.

    * Better get used to the bugs and glitches, it will happen often.

    * The weapons etc are nice, but the combat is dull and boring.

    * The enemy and team NPC AI are really bad. They are just plain stupid.

    * Plenty of NPC dialogue, but the characters look at you like a plastic zombie with little to no expression. The dialogue is not really engaging too.

    * Inventory space and management is just a joke. Do the devs actually play their game? How many huge money making RPG's does Bethesda have to make to get this right?

    * Looting 1001 carrots, apples, phials, ducktape, screwdrivers etc to sell at an NPC for credits is really not oké anymore. It just sucks. It's like Bethesda is stuck in the past. Same note: do they actually play the game and go "wow this is fantastic, we should keep this?"

    * NPC vendors don't have enough credits for all the crap that you want to sell.

    * No mini map! It can take you a looooong time to figure out where the vendors are.

    * Space combat is not really exciting. The same for the exploring.

    * Wanna explore the universe or planets with your ship? Nope! It's just press a button and teleport! 1000 'planets' of pretty much nothing.

    * Most of the main NPC characters are just dull. If feel no connection with them what so ever. The only one I kinda like is Sam Coe. he NPC characters are a bit too chatty. For some reason, they all what too talk to you for some reason... . Endlessly talking about their private life, loved ones, lost husband, daugther... . It's a nice attempt for creating a bond with the characters, but does anyone really care about conversations like that?

    * Do I regret my 100$ purchase? I should've probably just bought the standard version. Or try it out first on xbox game pass. It's a oke fill the gap game. But it's really not what I thought it would or could be.

Let's just hope that the Elders scrolls 6 will be much better. Just plzzzzz stop doing the same stuff over and over again!!!

I finished Cyberpunk on release and even with all that critic it was in much better state technically, graphically and storywise.

Plenty of things I didn't like in this game:
    - Engine is outdated and look cheap. As result - graphically game is really mediocre and game itself looks very grey.
    - Very tedious space travel. From cut-scene to cut-scene to cut-scene. If I need to travel from point A to point B i need to watch plenty of boring cut-scenes. It really disrupting game-flow.
    - Even after all that load screens of space travel game need to load separately small areas like shops or even your ship interior. It really help me to remember Morrowind but it isn't 2002 today!
    - Game itself is badly optimized. It crushes very often. And I don't have problems with FPS or load times.
    - Post-release support. Devs just ignore any problems. No patch, no info about patch. Just full silent mode.
    - On the planet surface you will need to move on foot on very long distances. I need to travel fro 1km on foot to some distant structure even if I have ship. It is just bloating the game time without any reason.
    - Inventory management is hell. It is minimalistic but game have plenty of crafting-items. Half of the time you spend just trying to fit them somewhere.
-UI at large is really not good too. Like ship building mode or outpost building. At least you need to manage your outpost much more rarely than your inventory
    - Characters writing is really bland and uninteresting.
    - Companions AI are non-existent. They will run into your crosshair and block you into tight spaces. Enemy AI at best is mediocre.
    - After some time in game you just seen it all. All bases and planets are made from same assets and look alike. Some of them are really just copy-pasted.
    - No maps for cities. It seems I just need to remember there is every merchant and place located.

    Some things I didn't dislike.
    - Perk system looks nice
    - Story. I can't say is it good or not because I didn't finish to play yet. But at least it started ok.
    - Gun-play. It is actually seems nice especially with so much different guns to choose from.

But I can't overlook the flaws. There are bad animations, ugly faces and repetitive moments.[Issue#329]

In a year dominated by sequels to franchise favorites, there was a hope that Starfield would carve its own path to success. While the team at Bethesda should be commended for taking such a big swing, there’s no denying that the game doesn’t feel like a cohesive work. Maybe continued support and future sequels will make something more meaningful out of a work that is clearly deeply enamored with both science fiction and space exploration. Unforunately, this first launch has had far more mixed results than desired.
