This series is absolutely fantastic! I’m so glad that Disney and LucasFilms made this series. It is so great seeing Ewan back as Obi Wan Kenobi and Hayden as Darth Vader. Do you think he’s just gonna be so happy to see Vader and so skilled bc he’s been out of practice for 10 years? He had to bury the thought of being a Jedi to save himself and Luke. And Reva is apart of our story. I see great things happening with her character. She is conflicted just like Anakin was which is a great piece to our puzzle. I’m sorry this isn’t the 100% cannon show you all wanted but there’s so much this story can tell us but us shaming it will not bring any of it to light. I want more series!! Let us real fans enjoy the work everyone has put into this. They didn’t have to come back and reprise their roles- but they did it for the true fans like us!… Expand

Watched the first 2 parts. It's not the show that I wanted, it's the show that I needed. Without spoiling anything, the show is fantastic(as of part 3). It's dark, it's brutal, and it's written pretty well. Sure Reva and the rest of the Inquisitors completely suck but they are meant to, they are scrub wannabe Sith who don't deserve the title and thus act accordingly. Plenty of Vader screentime which surprised me only half way into the season. I look forward to the rest of the episodes.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Fantastic show! Ewan McGregor's acting is top notch and really portrays the struggle of Jedi after order 66. The fight between Kenobi and Vader in ep.3 is quite good - Kenobi is severely out of practice and has been closed off from the force for a decade while Vader has only grown stronger during that time, he was toying with Kenobi to showcase his power and wanted to cause him as much pain as he suffered on Mustafar. Young Leia and Reva are also doing a fantastic job at portraying their characters! My only issue with the series is the slowmo chase scenes in ep. 1 & 2 and how Vader didn't just grab the loader droid & Kenobi with the force while they were escaping - that scene could have easily been better by making Vader's cape catch on fire after the explosion, distracting him long enough for Kenobi to get away. 9/10 overall but giving it a 10/10 to compensate for review bombing morons. DISCLAIMER - if you are unable to read between the lines and infer plot points or are generally a knuckle dragging idiot in real life, you probably won't like this show.… Expand

Annoying Leia, stupid slow and badly choreographed chase scene on par with the ugly power rangers chase scene from BoBF, stupid kenobi who can't walk around a laser fence, coward kenobi running away from vader, stupid stormtroopers who can't see where a laser was shot from, at night (which is pretty evident), stupid stormtroopers and vader who can't go around some fire, bad location for the battle between vader and obi wan (really anti-climactic)...the list goes on and on… Expand

I feared Disney messing this up, but the portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi in this stage of his life is refreshingly believable. He's now a Jedi past his prime and lacks belief in himself due to what has happened to him and his apprentice. He's a veteran of war, likely suffering PTSD and is world weary. Currently loving the bright eyed and bushy tailed young Leia, who's innocence and naivety about the Galaxy contrasts against Obi-Wan's nervous, suspicious and tired outlook. I'm definitely excited to see where the series goes. I'm hoping other fans realise that this series is not a hark back to the golden age of Obi-Wan in his prime, but a bridge in series showing how Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan turns into Alec Guinness's… Expand

I'm not gonna lie and say this show was perfect. There are the few caveats here and there. It's Star Wars. Granted, if this was a new Star Wars movie with new characters and new plots it would be a big issue as well. But this isn't a new movie, this isn't about new characters. It's about Kenobi and Vader. Kenobi is awesome, and my gosh, Vader is AMAZING! Who cares about anything else? The only thing I wanted from this show was Kenobi and Vader and to see how they dealt with the last time they met. That's it. That's all I wanted. I don't care about the side characters, the story, the writing, nothing. Just Kenobi and Vader. AND IT DELIVERED. So far. Can't wait for the last three episodes!… Expand

Between the story, the characters, the connections with other Star Wars media, the cameos, and the acting…Just Bravo. Little Leia is an absolutely amazing addition as is 3rd Sister Reva (Youngling from the order 66 scene anyone?) Episodes 2 and 3 kept me on the edge of my seat and the cliffhangers keep me craving more. Ewan is again fantastic as Kenobi as well as Hayden as both Anakin and Vader and it was so wonderful for James Earl Jones, Jimmy Smits, and Joel Edgerton to reprise their roles. I fully understand now why Ewan was genuinely afraid to act with Vader. Absolutely ruthless portrayal of Darth Vader at his prime that was more than due. Unfortunately, the pacing was dreadful, the characters silly, one-dimensional, and simplistic. I am a big fan of the character of Princess Leia as portrayed by Carrie Fisher but this iteration of the character was ridiculous. She acted like a 50 year old grizzled woman and it was simply unbelievable in an eight year old or whatever she's supposed to be. We get it, Leia's strong and smart, but this was so poorly done that I almost couldn't watch it. The kid was an absurd Mary Sue type, telling all the adults what's what, being insanely brave, smarter than any adult, etc. Just give me a break.… Expand

Disney desperately needs better Star Wars writers. They made Obi-Wan look completely incompetent. Fire Kathleen Kennedy and put Jon and Dave in charge of Star Wars.

This is easily the best start to any of the Disney+ shows. Just 3 episodes in and I'm enthralled. This show is already filling in narrative gaps of the entire Star Wars saga and I can't wait to see the rest of the series.

Obi-Wan being at his lowest just shows how amazing it is he turns it around. When we see him in new hope and that brief appearance in rebels he is at peace. He isn’t now which makes me very curious how he gets to a place were he is at peace. Can’t wait to see what’s next.… Expand

While this Star Wars show does not have the budget of past movies, as of episode 3 it has succeeded to create convincing sets and while some may be annoyed by a little girls ability to escape from grown men, (This show is not just for adults) her acting ability is great. I reserve my final judgement until the show is over, but I am happy with the treatment and return of our cult characters Obi-wan and Vader. As long as future star wars is held to at least this bar, any star wars fan should be happy.… Expand
