Poor directing. It is made by amateurs. As a Star Wars fan, I was looking forward to it, but it's very disappointing.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am rating it this low not due to the visuals, which are amazing, or the acting, which has been superb, but due to the lack of consistency with itself and the rest of the star wars universe. "When I last left you I was but a learner, now I am the master". This line was acted as if it didn't exist, which is not how I was hoping this series would go at all.
I've come to expect it from disney, but I was hoping this would be different. It had so much potential.

It's like when animation has such a low frame rate that it doesn't mesh into an illusion. The utter failure of directing in this show is a new low point for Star Wars on a purely technical level. There is a scene where the Third Sister is chasing Obiwan across rooftops and the action is such a mess that I literally don't understand what is supposed to be physically happening. The Sister is being yanked around by invisible cables while flailing around and faking "parkour" as she bounced from wall to wall. It's laugh out loud embarrassing. The story indulges the bad habit of writing children to be "precocious" to disguise the fact that the writers cannot write age-appropriate lines.

This is an absolutely galling mess. It's baffling on a level similar to Solo. It's existence, even after the stellar Mandalorian and Boba Felt shows , makes a clear argument that someone at Disney simply doesn't know what to do with Star Wars and doesn't even seem to want to find out.

I’ll also say that I did not appreciate episode 7-9. I loved The Mandalorian Season 1 but not the second one. I did not care for Boba Fett, did not watch it. Anyway. Even though I didn't like the prequel trilogy, I always liked Ewan Megregor and was curious about this series.

But like I said, I did not go beyond episode one.
Ewan Megregor does a fine job but the rest of the series….

The biggest problem for me was the music. Star Wars and John Williams music goes hand in hand. This show uses super cheap and bland music. That doesn't work well

The camera work is just ok, pretty much like every DIsney Star Wars series so far. I won't get too much into the scenario, but it’s not good, like at all. The first episode has a small child outrunning assassins. It looks dumb. It feels like a kid show. Anyway, like I said, It’s not a detailed review, but this show is not great.

In terms of subject matter, the show is really a non-starter, since there can be little tension when we know that the main characters, like Ben and Uncle Owen, will thrive at least up to 1977 (“Episode IV: A New Hope”). Can someone at Disney please explain to us how Deborah Chow qualifies for the position of showrunner? The quality of the scriptwriting is so abysmal that one wonders if the writers have ever actually watched any science fiction. With regard to the acting, the performances by Ewan McGregor and Joel Edgerton are consummate as we have come to expect. As for the rest, it appears that Disney has earmarked the greater share of the show’s budget for effects. — The Third Sister is about as threatening as a sock puppet with a frowny face. Yelling and acting out emotionally — well as emotional as one can squeeze from an otherwise wooden performance — is neither intimidating nor threatening: “sticks and stones, ya sithy!” — Leia is a reminder that force-feeding or “force projecting” (?; looking at you Mr. Johnson) adult lines to child is still wholly unconvincing and makes it really difficult for one to suspend their disbelief. The script writers seem to think that most adults will find a pedantic, smart aleck child to be cute. At this rate, we might as well extend the vote to ten-year-olds. The show’s visual effects are fairly good. Unfortunately, they are often used as a crutch to fill out the runtime. Star Wars has become a tired franchise of late. The special effects are exceptional, but the stories (barring perhaps Mando) are sorely lacking in originality and, for this reviewer, engagement. In sum, little shine and no substance best encapsulates Disney’s Obi-Wan Kenobi. There is a small chance that the show may yet improve, but it’s not looking good. As for the “fan-boys” giving this contrived, poorly executed mess a 10/10, I think it apropos to remind them of Obi-Wan’s famous words: “Who is more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows?” Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So far after two episodes, this isn't that great. Acting seems very off and cheesy at times. Some of the writing makes zero sense. Like the Grand Inquisitor would not have allowed himself to be killed by a disobedient subordinate (I know he's not actually dead). And it doesn't seem like it's about Obi-Wan at all as it is about Reva it seems. My favorite parts were with Leia, even though some of those moments were beyond cheesy. Overall, hoping next four episodes are better. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I like some parts of the aesthetic in episodes 2 and 3. The arc has sentiment. A lot of what is in here could've been apart of the prequels. This is a decent extension to that lore for the fans. Which is what this is meant for. There are better, less nostalgia-driven stories they could've told in this series. The emphasis between Obi-Wan and Vader has intrigue as a fan myself. I particularly enjoyed the flashback duel between them. The other clashes between them in episodes 3 and 6 didn't do a lot for me.

I like the concept of Vader wanting to torture Ben instead of abruptly defeating him. I like the idea of Reva as a youngling who became conflicted. I like the idea of Leia being captured, incentivizing Obi-Wan to leave and go on a wild adventure. I don't like how the story was directed and filmed. Many of the key moments dramatic or extravagant feel tacky. As if this was in the hands of fanboys, not true filmmakers. Disney's Star Wars content has been pandering since 2019. From Episode 9 to this, nothing has really connected with me. Everything before 2019 from Disney Star Wars I actually like more.

Enjoy this if you're a hardcore fan hungry for more. Objectively, it feels made for fans and not with much creative integrity or theatricality. Vader's presence lacking that fear element is an example of how the direction missed the ball on this one. Not my cup of tea, but I can see the appeal.

The closer the stories are to anyone named Skywalker, the weaker the writing. And boy does Obi-Wan fall into that. There are plot holes you could fly an X-wing through. And the villains are all just silly and boring. You can see the reveals coming a mile away. Ewan McGregor does a solid job but the script is terrible. Very little of it makes any sense and the characters besides Obi-Wan just aren't interesting at all. And despite this show costing almost $100 million to make, somehow it feels cheap. The directing is bad too. It is still better than some of the atrocities of the prequel or sequel trilogies, but that is not saying much. Thank god we have Andor and The Mandalorian or else I might have to give up on being a Star Wars fan. Expand

Every episode contains numerous plot and character inconsistencies which are sometimes unintentionally comical, but more often frustrating. Characters seemingly teleport, inexplicably know things, and go through radical changes in temperament and competence in short spans of time. Moreover, a lot of the showtime feels like filler, which could have been used instead for setups and explanations to tackle these plot holes. Many people have complained about the acting, but it's hard to blame the actors given the material they had to work with. Overall, the pretty window-dressing of special effects and nostalgia was not enough to distract me from the cringeworthy writing. Expand

I would have been happy with anything 7/10 or better. Main issue is the direction. I’ve seen so-so stories well told; I’ll actually submit a contemporary hit as an example: Top Gun 2. But this is a weak story poorly told. It just falls flat. The details and character development are whisper thin. Character motivations turn on a dime and it often happens all over the course of one short scene. This isn’t network TV, they can make these episodes 50 minutes long with lots of details if they want, but they are more interested in rushing us from scene to scene. It’s a bad story … quickly told…. Like notes on a napkin. It feels like a first draft in need of polish to elevate the material into something artistic. I am completely unmoved by the story, which is the worst thing you can say about a story. I’m a life long Star Wars fan like many, and have put up with so many subpar entries by now that it’s never surprising to get a new one but it’s never not disappointing that the right people can’t get paired up with this material to give it the life it deserves. Watching this show makes me long for the rumored underworld series Lucas had commissioned scripts for before he sold Star Wars to Disney. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The acting is very 'cringey' particular from the dark side squad. The running scene in the first episode was laughable / memable. Really tired of the effort put into making a show 'woke' rather than great content and good acting. Kumail Nanjiani saved the acting in episode 2, but besides him and Obi-wan it's pretty terrible. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't see how the scores on Metacritic are averaging a 7 and up. The only episode that holds any meat up till now is episode 5. The rest has been boring and poorly directed. With terrible logistical decisions that will scratch anyones head. Like Leia outrunning 3 smugglers on snail pace (One smuggler is actually stopped because of a branch in her path). Or Obi Wan being able to escape because of a small fire that you could easily walk around. It tells me a lot about Disney. How out of touch they are they did not go big budget on this one. The only reason I can imagine as to why they made this a series instead of a movie is to have people be subscribed for at least 2 months to Disney+. They could've done so much more with this it's truly saddening. The empire is ruling. Obi wan is on the run. A fugitive. Could get caught at any moment. At no point in the series do you really sense any dread from Obi wan. There is no character study that goes deep into who obi wan is in this new day and age. He's not really a Jedi anymore. He should suffer from things like anxiety. Things probably new to him. The series never challenges itself. I'd imagine someone that lost everything would be remembering how things used to be. Or reminisce about the good old days. Like the old man he now is. None of that. Well a tiny bit. But it never feels authentic. Instead they shoehorn in an inquisitor with her own agenda. Which in itself could potentially be an interesting ark and worth a series on it's own. But the way the inquisitors are presented here, it's not very menacing. People should be terrified. They never feel dangerous. That and the catch me if you can theme with Leia... It all detracts from Obi Wan. There's a lot more things that feel off. Like no de-aging on Anakin while he is portrayed as a Padawan. Unbelievable escapes or confrontations with Storm Troopers. That actually look at obi wan and Leia and just ask some simple questions. How is the entire empire not up to date on a fugitive old man with a young girl? I hope for everyone including myself that the final episode will make it all worth it. But it will never get rid of the bad taste that the first few episodes have left. Expand

Can't believe anyone who would give this a 10 has any kind of standards or knowledge when it comes to making a Star Wars spinoff, or shows in general. This is poorly made.

The only reason it deserves even a 4 and not a 1, is because it has Ewan and Hayden and Jimmy back from Episodes 1, 2 and 3, as well as James's voice as Vader.

More bald recycling of old SW plot tropes (ob1 rescues a kidnapped princess from the cruel fortress where she is being imprisoned and tortured... narrowly escaping Vader's grip only to mourn the sudden loss of a member of the rescue party and then to be secretly tracked?) and a general pantomime feel to the entire proceedings leaves me less than impressed. This Obi-Wan, like the star of last year's Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker in SW8, has had all of the blood and colour drained out of him. The continuity doesn't truly fit into the established story canon either, which is just lazy. My low rating would be closer to zero but for Ewan McGregor's performance which is great, and the show's production design which is - as expected - outstanding. Expand

It has bad writing, some continuity errors and inconsistencies. For example Obi Wan is sometimes a weak coward and other times a badass that is an unstoppable force. Before the bigot, misogyny or homophobia accusation is used: No one has anything against gay, trans, black or diverse characters and this was also the case 20 years ago. Just as reminder: Remember anyone criticizing Moff Gideon, Cere Junda (Fallen Order), Lando Calrissian, Mace Windu or Dr. Aphra (comics)? No, because they are awesome characters and we want them to return in new stories. Instead we dislike boring or one dimensional characters, weak stories and misuse of characters we grew up and liked for years. Sadly Obi Wan has a lot of weaknesses. It does also not help that you know the outcomes. They cant kill or seriously harm a character that appears later in the movies. The main example is the final episode and the climax battles where no one could die. Just a few additional examples. In one a familiar character is threaten with death by light saber and there is an interrogation with seemingly dire consequences. Both fail because you know no one could die. Another example: The Grand Inquisitor has an awesome arc in Rebels which happens chronologically after the events of this show and I say they give the character redemption there so you can see the outcome from a mile away. Continuity wise there are a few problems too: The knowledge that Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker is a huge secret only a few know and anyone who talks about it will die swiftly. He even killed his own squad when a fugitive Jedi spoiled this to them if I remember correctly. Also a certain Imperial base that is majorly important has no defense mechanisms. The general story feels often like doing check marks on a to do list. Insert Darth Vader here, a familiar character there, show the base from Fallen Order, tease this and that. When you look behind this attempt to bait nostalgia it is a weak show. Only episode 5 is anywhere near the quality you need and even it is sometimes silly and unbelievable. The final has some great moments that feel like Star Wars and I freely admit this. Then there are plot holes like my prime example: Entering a hugely protected secretive base without any reason to be there as subtle as a jack hammer (Making suspicious radio messages near other imperials), escaping while hundred of armed soldiers aim at you at an important base without defense weapons nor star fighters or changes of characters decisions because of a small dialogues that should not work (Roken helping Obi Wan). Also no one during the show notice Obi Wans face even when he is on the top wanted list and actively searched when he reappears or later that he hides a child under his imperial uniforms cloak and hundred of people fail to notice. Lets end this point here. I don't blame the actors for a weak script and misuse of the characters. I even enjoyed Reva especially after they get character development towards the end but they weaken her before with bad writing and predictability. I knew / predicted her backstory immediately. Also name something that defines her character outside her hate and obsession before the last 2 episodes. As example for the poor writing: Reva forgot that her light saber can open a blast door in seconds until it is needed storywise or that a dozen or more stormtroppers are in hearing distance when she talks to Obi Wan things that could harm her badly. This level of writing makes her look incompetent. Now imagine how her backstory and development would be handled by a more competed writer. She would be a fan and critic favorite. Maybe the show was too long in development struggles as it should be a movie, was rumored to be canceled and more. So I will not criticize anything further in this regard. Then there are moronic decisions by the characters like being unable to use the Imperial resources when necessary (reinforcement, ships, surveillance etc.), no one figures out guarding a dangerous prisoner with just 4 stormtroopers is moronic or sending an undecoded message that contains all information to be crucified if it gets in the wrong hands. Then there are the abrupt character competences changes like Obi Wan not being able to use the force without reasons (other than the script) but later going one man (Jedi) army. Darth Vader is later also affected by this and forgets he has his ship in orbit. The special effects are good as expected as are the fights (except an early one which breaks Obi Wan). Overall this was a disappointment and is not recommend for fans of Star Wars. Mandalorian shows how to do Star Wars right and outclasses this show on any level. The warning signs were there as they fired the “If you dislike this you are xxx” (Insert racist, misogynist or others) even before the first episode started. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This show is incredibly mediocre, they really dropped the ball, even though they were working with such talented actors and great characters, the writing just isn't compelling at all. I'd say the show overall has a single highlight, which is the inclusion of a flashback fight scene between Kenobi and Vader in episode 5 that mirrors the events happening in the present in that episode, everything else is just subpar.

Reva's arc is very uninteresting and nonsensical when you know her story (she's also written incredibly dumb and non-threatening at times), Kenobi's is not so bad, it's just re-learning how to become a Jedi, and Liam Neeson and Hayden Christensen are just wasted in this, they don't appear enough and their contribution is minimal.

Watch it once, you might get a kick out of the memes or the recognizable actors from the prequels that appear in it.

After going Weeeeeee when we see Ewan on the screen as Obi-Wan, all else jumps into the picture and makes it bleak.

Apart from the actress portraying Leia, who delivers, everything else is at most mediocre.

The story is so simple and so easy to predict that it's just not fun at all. Yes, it's great to have both Obi-Wan and Vader on the screen at the same time, but the build-up, if you find any, just doesn't cut it.

The whole concept had some sense it in, but finally the show is just a rehash of what has already been done to the franchise many times earlier on.

Trying to piggyback on some of the iconic one-liners or Ewan & Hayden's presence is just not enough.

And the final episode makes one thing clear - whether this series existed or not, nothing really changes in our understanding or love for the the Skywalker saga or SW itself.

I believe this series suffered from a combination of over-hype, poor writing, poor directing, and just a Dash (Rendar) more of some over-hype.

I understand this is a sci-fi about space wizards, but the plot holes in the screenplay are just painful -- Children out running adults for miles (this happens more than once), scooby-do moments like hiding people in trench coats, and then just confused directing that feels like they were just going to fix it in post and never got to it.

I would say this is above average TV, but I scored it 5/10 because of the level of disappointment this series made me feel. All in all, it's not a bad series, but it felt like they should have brought in additional directors and screen writers to buff out some of the stupid.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Below average. There are a few cool moments, but that's all there is to this show. It's 5% cool moments, and 95% unadulterated nonsense. And none of the cool moments feel earned because the rest of the series is just a jumbled-up mess of something I can hardly call a plot.

This show promised so much and delivered so little. We did not need to have this much of a focus on Leia and Reva. If you want to make a show about them, great, go for it—but this was supposed to be McGregor and Christensen's time to shine on screen. And I feel like they never fully got the chance.

The payoff of Obi-Wan gaining back his powers also took way too long, which made him look like a bumbling idiot for 5 episodes out of 6. Nobody wants to see that.

Finally finished it and while there were some fun parts, it doesn't hold a candle to The Mandalorian or Bobba Fett. It was okay.

Good: Ewan McGregor was great as was Indira Varma. It looked good for the most part. Some of the Vader Kenobi fights were fun. I didn't hate Reva.

Bad: Poor casting for Leia and Luke. Both those kids looked too young. Leia in particular pulled me out of the story every time she was in it. There was also this need to constantly push her on us. Loke Disney SW is teying erase Luke and Mary Sue Leia. Lot ofittle things like the snow speeders hovering and the remote base with no patrols guarding it. And finally, the plot was dull.

The prequels and the sequels just soured me on the jedi. That's why I liked the Mandalorian and Fett; no jedi.

Overall, this was disappointing.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 4 episodes in, I'll update this review at the end. A good start but now this series seems to be meandering a lot. No Luke, it's all about Leia. Hayden Christensen has put in a brief appearance but nowhere near as much Anakin/Obi-wan interplay as I was expecting. Instead we get too much of the character Reva, who is boring and is always angry and shouting a lot. Indira Varma is excellent as the empire turncoat. Effects are surprisingly ropey and there have been a few cringe/lol moments (the infamous trenchcoat scene and the snowspeeders). Overall I'm becoming disappointed with this effort. It should have been amazing as we are all invested in the Obi_Wan/Darth Vader dynamic. As I write this it only has two episodes to pull it out of the bag. Is this turning into yet another Disney disappointment? Of the Disney efforts, I liked Rogue One, and Force awakens wasn't bad. Mandalorian had some great episodes. But everything else has been pretty terrible. If anything, it's making me appreciate the prequels even more. Although the dialogue was cringe they knew how to tell a story and they expanded the Star Wars universe. Expand

The first thing I can say is that the actor for Obi Wan is PHENOMENAL and easily the best part about this show with how he delivers the feeling of hopelessness and PTSD with such subtle expressions and learns to trust himself again with slow development overtime which is a nice bit of fresh air from The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian Season 3 who couldn't care less about their main characters and focused too much on the side characters. Darth Vader is also a great character here with what's happened to him before taking place here and it feels heartbreaking to see him this way when you remember who he was and the show even does a great job making it feel that way. The character development between Obi-Wan and Leia is great FOR THE MOST PART since it's great at helping them both learn to trust each other and the bond they create feels realistic and earned and actually even fixes a plot hole in the 1977 film where Leia somehow knew Obi-Wan there. Finally, the last episode of the show was simply beautiful with the camera shots, fight choreography, soundtrack, and characters that were present were all at their A-game and is simply the best part of the show. HOWEVER, despite this show's strengths, there are some major problems with this show that prevent me from ever watching it again. Despite how the last episode is phenomenal, I can't say the same thing about the other episodes with how little care went into the writing, side characters, pacing, and plot. Firstly, the show literally did the exact opposite of The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian Season 3 by developing so much on Obi Wan, the side characters don't get nearly as much attention and mixing that with the pretty weak writing means there's simply nothing memorable about them. Something that goes completely unnoticed is how there's an insane amount of camera shake during the lightsaber fight in the last episode, making it feel like a good fan film rather than a Lucasfilm production. And finally, the pacing is completely inconsistent and ruins the flow of the show which in turn leads to a stupid amount of plot holes here KILLING rewatchability. Overall, despite the great things about this show, there are a lot of problems here that make me hesitate on recommending this show that it's genuinely disappointing to see how far Star Wars has fallen from its initial rise back then to where it is now. Star Wars has gone too long without taking any risks and the only director who tried ended up crucified.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is entertaining, of course, and thankfully short, plus McGregor's presence is more than welcome, but its merits and achievements rest on its constant reliance on staying in a safe zone filled with fan service.

Would it have been the same if Darth Vader hadn't appeared? No, but if they had dared, perhaps Obi-Wan could have been explored in other ways, but the fandom won't allow this saga to do that and has trapped it in a repetitive cycle of stagnation where new plots or ideas are completely out of the question.
I mean, they have a whole galaxy at their disposal and they just can't get off Tatooine.

It's not that I'm expecting something epic from Star Wars anymore, but at least I hope they no longer have to resort to easter eggs or cameos to validate what they're presenting. Yes I'm talking to you Mandalorian.
That's the burden this franchise is carrying and until they actually dare to go beyond the timeline between Episode I and IX, they will continue to be stuck.

Only for their fans and of course you already know that.

Dialogue and performances are fine, but there's some poor writing and action sequences that aren't that great, and for a paranoid totalitarian regime the Empire seems to have unbelievably lax internal security at times. None of it's crucial to the plot but there are plenty of moments that will leave you scratching your head over what happened.
However, the basic idea of Obi Wan as a damaged and broken man dealing with the aftermath of Order 66 is a good one, as is an Inquisitor who's a dysfunctional and obsessive backstabber instead of a suave and controlled master villain. I'd put this in the same bucket as the prequel trilogy and TLJ, as something with good ideas but poor execution. Set design and visuals are gorgeous as always, and you can see that Disney's really getting confident with the visual language of Star Wars.

The actual 0-2 score negative reviews seem to mostly be the usual people crying salty manbaby tears either because (shock, horror) it has a black female antagonist and the Jedi lead character isn't a wish fulfilment power fantasy, or because Disney decanonized their beloved EU and hired professional scriptwriters instead of second rate hacks who churn out books on spec for adolescent boys. Cry more.

While I didn't like the prequels apart from Revenge of the Sith, I liked Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen as Anakin. So I was thrilled when it was revealed that both would be returning for this new series. So is the show a great return of the Jedi or dry like sand?

Ewan McGregor gives a great performance as Obi-Wan to the point it feels like he never left. I also love that the show gives him more layers by showing that his "killing" of Anakin has traumatized him. He is a very broken person at the beginning but we see him grow into the Obi-Wan we see in A New Hope. Hayden is great when he appears and I love the way he moves as Vader. It is exactly like the way Vader moved in the original trilogy. Although, it seems that Hayden and two other stuntmen helped portray Vader so it isn't entirely Hayden. Moreover, Hayden is still being dubbed over by James Earl Jones so he isn't in it much as Disney advertised which is a slight shame. There is also a child actress, Vivien Lyra Blair, who (minor spoilers) plays young Leia. Child actors can be very annoying but I found Vivien to be very good as a young Leia. She also has great chemistry with Ewan and the dynamic of their characters is one of the highlights of the show.

There are also some pretty fun action sequences in the show. I never thought I would see Obi-Wan in a shoot-out but it happened and it was pretty enjoyable. Every scene where Obi-Wan uses his lightsaber is stellar and his confrontation against Vader is wonderful to watch. Furthermore, Vader has some pretty awesome scenes too that show how scary he can be which was awesome. Additionally, the Obi-Wan theme by John Williams is great and the music score by Natalie Holt is good as well. There are some points in the show, especially episodes 2 and 6, where the cinematography is terrific. The show does answer some questions that I had which are how Leia knew Obi-Wan and how Obi-Wan knew Vader was Anakin. I find that it satisfyingly answers these.

Unfortunately, the show is butchered by its inconsistency. There are points where the show is great and then there are points where the show drops in quality. Sometimes we have great visuals with great sets and then we get a scene where it feels like they are running around in a construction area or bad CG. The writing and story are the same. We got great Obi-Wan character development, emotional conflict between him and Vader, and a heart-warming relationship between him and Leia. However, we also get everything awful about the show with the writing and inclusion of the character Reva. The pacing is quite bad, especially in the first half. The show ends up feeling like a 2-hour movie plot being extended to 5 hours and it's very noticeable with how much padding is in the show.

On that note, Reva's story takes up a lot of screen time in this show despite it being called Obi-Wan Kenobi. Her character is genuinely a nuisance since she is just always angry every time. Even the reason for why she is angry, which is revealed near the end, comes off as stupid. By the final episode, I wonder what was the point of her character and story as it didn't add anything to Obi-Wan's journey. I have nothing against the actress Moses Ingram as I think she is a fine actress. The problem is that she just doesn't fit the character. Inquisitors are meant to be fearsome and scary but Moses comes off as someone trying hard to be scary. It's a shame as there is a scary inquisitor in the grand inquisitor but he gets removed from the story very early on.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about the show. When the show just focuses on Obi-Wan and Vader then it delivers. It just squanders a lot of everything else. I honestly believe that this show would've been better as a movie. Nevertheless, I still think the show is still worth watching for Star Wars fans. It didn't end up being as amazing as hoped but it's still a good time and what fan would pass seeing Ewan and Hayden again? Those two are better than ever.

Well-acted and produced - but ultimately unnecessary filler content churned out by the Disney Star Wars production machine.

Some men in this review section are doing a great job at showing how fragile their so-called "masculinity" actually is, complaining about female characters and all. Really pathetic to see that sexism is still tolerated on this website. Some men in this review section are doing a great job at showing how fragile their so-called "masculinity" actually is, complaining about female characters and all. Anyway, when it comes to "Kenobi", I'm honestly just bored of Disney tapping into the same few characters and timelines for their original Star Wars shows. How many more times do I have to see Luke, Leia, Kenobi and Darth Vader on my screens? Can't y'all come up with some new characters and stories for once, perhaps in a different timeline?

The pacing of this show's plot is all over the place, the child actors (while delivering great performances) are given horrible scripts that make them sound like adults, and the planets are just dull at best. "Kenobi" just has no personality, and I don't see why this had to be its own thing. It's time to move on, Disney.

They aren’t the fans that actually enjoy the show, they’re just mad that Star Wars is finally taking a stand for their actors after fumbling beforehand. And they don’t like that the lead actor, Ewan, took a stand against them too. They cover their racism as criticism toward a wonderful actress and a literal child actor. They aren’t fans, they’re bullies. They don’t give anything a tv show the whole runtime to make their assumptions. Large influencers like Geeks+Gamers also encourages the racism and bullying. This series is nothing short of but greatness. It does have its flaws but that is easily overlooked by Ewan’s superb acting at showing how broken Kenobi really is. How the story is unfolding is getting interesting. Reva’s character is starting to fill out little by little. This show is peak Star Wars. Expand
