The true strenght of DICE's new title is its multiplayer component: massive battles, vehicles, destruction and an exceptional overall polish of Frostbite 2 offer an incredible piece of entertainment and raise the bar for online competition. Coop mode is also enjoyable, although it won't last long: good to have an afternoon's worth of fun with a friend, it makes you wonder why the whole campaign hasn't been made available for this kind of cooperation. As for the campaign itself, it's mostly playable, but still the weakest part: too much Call of Duty style, desperately linear and sometimes too slow, it doesn't add anything new to the genre.

There's so much evolution in this sequel that it seems like it's been growing by itself, understanding its own flaws and naturally adjusting. The single player experience is quintessential, delivering pure terror and some unforgettable action pieces. When the credits start rolling, you'll feel like you've actually achieved something, sighing with relief...at least, until the next nightmare. On the other hand, mutliplayer still feels unnecessary and hurried.

The task of reviving one of the milestones of gaming wasn't easy at all, but Eidos Montreal ultimately did it, filling its creation with care, love and choice. Complex, replayable, and offering a wide range of different gameplay experiences, Deus Ex: HR doesn't come flawless (long loading times, occasional bugs, forgettable boss fights), but it's a game that fans of the original don't want to miss, as well as everybody else looking for a game that makes you really play with it.

L.A. Noire is a revolution in videogaming, both in technological and narrative terms. Its peculiar structure won't make it accessible to everyone though, as the more action oriented players will have to comprehend its sometimes cryptic and episodic structure to fully appreciate the mix. It's still largely recommended to every player out there, since ignoring it would mean losing a fundamental step forward for videogaming as a rich and noble entertainment form.

It’s a gigantic game, with a gargantuan number of story-lines and missions, a crafting system that’s out of this world, and better gameplay when compared with its predecessor. The sheer quantity and quality of it all almost made us forget the bugs. Almost. After all, the number of glitches and hiccups we found in the game is pretty high too, and while this doesn’t really ruin the experience, it makes it imperfect. Basically, Fallout 4 is what we expected: a bigger, better, and smarter Fallout 3, and that is more than enough to make it great, even if it’s not the absolute masterpiece some were expecting.

Monster Hunter Wilds is a vast and majestic game, much like the monsters that inhabit it. The new approach to exploration and the complexity of the various biomes evolve the classic formula of the series, enriching it immensely. Combat takes significant strides forward thanks to the wound system, the Seikret, and the revamped weapons—further enhanced by monsters with more complex behaviors and a greater overall environmental interaction. Some hunts will stay with you forever. The story is also a pleasant surprise—we didn’t expect it to be told so well, aided by a cast of well-developed characters. If we had to point out a flaw, we would have liked more from the endgame phases and the roster of monsters, but we are well aware that with future updates and the almost certain introduction of Master Rank, these issues will likely be addressed. Capcom completes yet another hunt—and does so in truly grand style.

Spec Ops, both Missions and Survivals, are a lot of fun, but the true heart of it all is in the competitive multiplayer. Street Fighter 6 once again proves itself to be an outstanding fighting game, even on the Switch 2. The graphical downgrade is minor and most noticeable in handheld mode, while on a 4K TV the differences compared to more powerful consoles are significantly reduced. Being able to play it on the go is a major plus—especially since, unlike the original launch version from two years ago, this one includes all Season 1 and 2 characters at no extra cost. It also features two simple but fun exclusive modes designed for casual play with friends. The only major drawback is the World Tour mode, which runs at just 30 fps—something that can be quite frustrating. Aside from that, though, we’re still talking about one of the best fighting games of this generation, and it holds up well on the Switch 2. One word of advice: if you’re planning to play seriously, we strongly recommend investing in a proper controller—Joy-Cons are far from ideal for a game this technical.

We expected a bit more from a “lore” standpoint, but this is still a great expansion, with amazing new weapons and extremely challenging bosses and situations. Quite the treat for Souls fans.

Hitman 3 is an amazingly crafted epilogue for the World of Assassination trilogy and the best modern Hitman yet.

We disagree with the people at Atlus and their decision to leave Tartarus as it was, but nonetheless this is one of the best JRPGs of the modern era, and this remake makes it shine like it deserves. The one for this review was our fifth run in eighteen years and we still didn't feel any fatigue playing it. Let's just hope the devs will include Persona 3 FES and Portable content later down the road.

An amazingly intense and brilliant experience. The sheer intelligence of the puzzles created by Blow and his team is staggering, and the beauty of the island impressive by itself. For puzzle game fans The Witness is a masterpiece: a perfectly logical game, but also one that is not scared to be hard, and for once does not treat the player like an idiot. Just play it, it's worth every penny.
