DOOM 64 deserves another bite at the apple, not least because it presents a clever and atmospheric twist on the classic DOOM formula that was previously thought lost to time. A triumphant celebration of blood, sweat and fury, DOOM Eternal is a genre and generation defining FPS that through some occult ritual, somehow manages to comprehensively blow its 2016 GOTY contending predecessor completely out of the water with remarkable ease. Persona 5: Royal is the definitive Persona 5 experience. Atlus has refined the already excellent base game, trimming the rigid, sharp edges and creating a smoother experience filled with new and interesting activities, characters, story moments, and even an entirely new palace and optional ending to the game. Persona 5: Royal is one of the best JRPG's on PS4 for both new and returning players.- PlayStation Universe

Masterfully crafted and executed, Nioh 2 sets the benchmark for action/adventure games that people just have to experience. Team Ninja's latest provides one of the most in-depth combat systems and an addictive loot system that may put all but the best dungeon crawlers to shame. 60 Seconds! offers up a different way to play a mobile game that features some light-hearted gameplay and a brief time sink. Katana Kami: A Way Of The Samurai Story attempts to bring back a beloved PS2 franchise with a new twist. For what it is, Separation is an enjoyable couple of hours. Its graphics may not be the best on the platform and its gameplay may be a bit on the thin side but what you are left with is a very bleak and personal journey. Fighting game fans may find it too simple but Granblue Fantasy; Versus is the easiest and most accessible fighting game I've ever played. Worthy of a Class-A Hero! One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a solid fighting game experience wrapped in nostalgia and callbacks to the animated source material. Townsmen – A Kingdom Rebuilt is a familiar-feeling town management sim, with some mobile mechanics that hover very close beneath the surface. This game will feel instantly familiar to fans of the genre, with few surprises or innovations. Krillbite should be commended for what the achieve with Mosaic, crafting an experience that wholly commits to its themes, atmosphere, and narrative. Each moving part of the game contributes to the whole journey and creates an exceptional replication of the bleak, hostile, and depressing lifestyle that is modern capitalist-fueled city-life. It isn't a particularly enjoyable game to play, but that lack of gratification is just another part of the magnificent mosaic that is, Mosaic.- PlayStation Universe

While being quite repetitive in longer sessions, there is something quite addictive about Earth Night. Arc of Alchemist is not technically broken, which is the best thing I can say about it. Combining the most basic combat, the most complicated menu system, the weirdest economy, some pretty poor PS2-era graphics, and the densest, most indecipherable tips section, Arc of Alchemist is indeed reminiscent of a work of alchemy – if said alchemist was attempting to turn your valuable time into dust. Terminator: Resistance is not perfect - not by a long shot. The AI is almost catastrophically dumb for the most part and the array of pseudo open-world systems that it borrows would appear to be done better elsewhere. Dusk Diver rewards you for everything that you do. A visual treat that just keeps on giving. Dusk Diver's pace also keeps the fun going until the very end. It's just a shame that it suffers from some translation issues and a story that never really realizes its true potential.- PlayStation Universe

A heavy metal steeped side-scrolling blaster that is awash in blood, gore and super solid platforming shooter beats, Valfaris is essential for anyone looking for a challenging affair that does ample justice to Konami's poorly treated Contra franchise.- PlayStation Universe

Between the game breaking bugs, the glitches, the recycled moves, grating commentary, stale presentation and now the unneeded content barriers and paywalls, I have exhausted my patience with this series. WWE 2K20 is the worst wrestling game to come along in a decade and is in desperate need of a ground up rebuild.- PlayStation Universe

Let’s Sing Country provides a way to sing modern radio country songs (and a couple of classics) with friends. If that sounds fun to you, then you will likely enjoy this game. It doesn’t need to be more complicated than that.- PlayStation Universe

Death Standing proves itself as a unique, palpable new IP, filled with rich storytelling both in narrative and gameplay. The beginning of the game suffers from long gaps of time intended for learning the ropes, but the ship rights itself once it finally turns the corner. Despite that with a handful of missteps, a deep, potent message of coming together rings through every aspect of Death Stranding that dazzles the game as a whole. If you give it the time, Death Stranding will offer you something most games never do.- PlayStation Universe

Though it disappoints with some poorly designed maps and a lack of game modes at launch, Modern Warfare is one of the best games in the Call Of Duty franchise featuring a haunting and memorable campaign that is probably the best looking game this generation.- PlayStation Universe

A frequently beautiful and atmospheric horror effort boasting an evocative setting, Close to the Sun finds itself almost wholly undone by plodding exploration, eye-rolling puzzles and detestably sloppy chase sections that utterly fail to exploit the game's strengths.- PlayStation Universe

Disney Classic Games: Aladdin & The Lion King is a superb package offering some of the best retro platformers of their day. While the difficulty spikes may seem off-putting - and there's definitely some frustrating moments to be had, particularly in The Lion King. All the same, there's some brilliant platforming to be found in these retro classics that's worth experiencing for fans and newcomers alike.- PlayStation Universe

Dark Devotion has parts that are inspired by great titles of the last few years. It's part Dark Souls, part Dead Cells but it does have a few things that will separate it from the titles that inspire it. Yes, it is not as good as either of those titles but we are talking about two of the best titles in their respected genres. It is, however, rewarding, well made and well worth your time and effort.- PlayStation Universe

Afterparty is a fantastic and incredibly funny tale of friendship and the role drinking alcohol plays in society and the effects that drinking has on us. Night School Studio has created one of the funniest games ever made and their version of Hell is fully realised. The stellar voice acting and writing left me smiling from ear to ear constantly. Afterparty is a joy to play and everyone should take a trip to Hell.- PlayStation Universe

Cat Quest II has everything that made the first game so enjoyable. It has added co-op and a few new features that make it different enough for returning players to enjoy while maintaining its charm and great style. It's fun, simple and fun for everyone, while the art style and animations are to die for and a lot of players will fall in love with it. It's a breath of fresh air in the overcrowded role-playing game genre and is a delightful experience to savour.- PlayStation Universe

While not a perfect affair, Mistover offers up a generous level of reward for the amount of risk needed to succeed in the game. Developing characters and collecting equipment make exploring each map that much more enticing. While risk isn't as big of a factor as it could be, and the amount of time needed to succeed is rather daunting, Mistover offers up an appealing formula all the same.- PlayStation Universe
