    I thought Outer Wilds was going to be more of an RPG, and I sort of wish it was. The more engaging gameplay elements — the story and its mysteries, the fascinating and beautiful planets, the thrill of exploration and discovery — always took a backseat to the puzzles and physics, which were intriguing but sometimes felt like an arbitrary impediment that drained some of the delight out of Outer Wild’s often genuinely unique experience.

    In the end, Outer Wilds is all about exploring a mysterious solar system and finding out its secrets. I had a fun time flying around in space and it’s good for the gaming industry as a whole to have an adventure game like this that’s about exploring a world without having to shoot or fight enemies. However, Outer Wilds doesn’t do a great job at guiding players. Instead, you are left aimlessly exploring until you figure out what to do next.

    Good writing, humour, minimal bloat. Old skool, but in a good way. Not perfect, but really enjoyed it

    Before I played Outer Wilds, I read everywhere:
    "... I would pay to erase my memory, and play it again ..."

    "... This game is a masterpiece ..."
    After playing Outer Wilds: All is True, any praise to describe the experience will not be enough.

    Reviewing the game without spoilers is hard because every detail is part of the experience. Basically, play it, and you will not regret it.

    Pd: Regarding the people that say "Frustrating time-loop". Basically, don't run. Play it with calm, and you will enjoy every loop.

    Fantastic, beautifully made game, takes a little time to get used to its rhythm but once you do it’s a unique experience.

    It's definitely a unique game, this is the only game I know of that blocked the game progression completely on player knowledge and nothing else in game. Through exploration we find how its universe works pieces by pieces and that knowledge teaches us new possibilities to try out and help progress the game. The sheer surprise and excitement given in this process is unparalleled by any other game I've played in all these years.

    Obviously spoilers are the biggest enemy of this. It's better to get into the world completely blind.

    It may not appeal to everyone, but if you like explorations I'd highly recommend this game. If you feel a bit lost at the beginning, give it a few hours and the universe should unfold enough to capture you.    … Expand

However, this is one of my favourite games and there isn't any other one that has made me feel this way. The music and gameplay made me feel I was up there, the mechanics are original and the rumors system is great. I'm unpatiently waiting the DLC.… Expand

    I bought the game from the PS Store and tried to play it on PS 5. It's just awful, unbearable to play with such an input lag. Due to the fact that the picture on the screen starts moving only after I have already released the joystick, I get disorientation and nausea. PS Store refused to refund my money.
    Terrible input lag, terrible fps. It would be fine if all this is from the 3rd person, but it is from the 1st. It is impossible to navigate. I do not recommend taking it to the console before the release of patches for the current generation (never, I seem).    … Expand
