Paper Mario Colour Splash is a fun action-adventure, but falls a bit short game design-wise. The fun lasts for two thirds of the game, the last stretch of the game is quite dull and repetitive. The game would've benefited a lot from a little more complex game mechanics and a somewhat simpler user interface. [Nov 2016]

F1 2016 really is a huge step in the right direction after horrible 2015 release. Beautiful visuals (except the rubber-faced monstrosities posing as drivers and crew), well-done handling and the emphasis on little nuances of race weekend makes this easily the best game in the franchise. Stellaris successfully brings Paradox grand strategies to interstellar level, but feels at this stage too barebones at places. While the early game exploration and expansion is interesting and tense, and the late game crises bring welcome change to a step in 4X games that often becomes boring mopping up, the mid game is too often a boring slog with too few things happening both with your own empire and your passive neighbours. The feeling is further strengthened by the lack of espionage and any real internal or external trading. I have faith that Stellaris will improve greatly with patches and DLC, as Paradox games have done, but for now Stellaris is only an another decent game in its genre. [June/July 2016]

Wretched Devil itself has slithered inside an arcade machine and tenderly shackles the player inside it. Metafictional loop of satanistic ponies wittily dance through an evening it lasts. [Apr 2016]

What game has style? The obvious answer is Aviary Attorney. The art in the game is based on the works of J. J. Grandville and looks stunning. The actual gameplay closely resembles that of the Ace Attorney series, so most of the time you will be solving light puzzles and reading funny conversations. And watching animals act like humans. Aviary Attorney is a very enjoyable game, but I would have hoped for some more content. It just ends too quickly and doesn't offer much of a challenge at all. [Apr 2016]
