Gameplay is mostly a walking simulator, with only a few segments that take the player slightly out of this. A feeling of dread helps build the tension throughout, leading to the eventual scare. However, the formula gets monotonous as it repeats constantly. A lack of elements outside of horror bogs down my enjoyment of the game, thus leading to a negative review. This game might be enjoyable for those who want a one-time scare for a Saturday night, or those who do indie horror gameplay videos/streams. For anyone outside of that though, perhaps this one is best viewed rather than played.- Movies Games and Tech

Though it has strong building blocks and sounds like a good initial idea, the game is a bit lackluster in execution. The story is a bit cliché with predictable plots and cringe moments. The puzzles are a bit too simple with not many actual puzzles between numerous cutscenes. Visuals are decent, but are a bit rough around the edges. I'm willing to give it some points due to the game's ideas, but doing poorly in these areas massively impacts the score.- Movies Games and Tech

I do wonder why this game was not made to be on mobile, outside of if you are using a steam deck. This could be a free, match 3 mobile game with ads/optional ads—a casual game to play during a commute. I would be a bit more understanding of the limitations. Regardless, I hope small quality of life updates are made to at least improve on the decorating aspect outside of the match 3 game.- Movies Games and Tech

The meditative repair work is there, and the busted garage gives you a goal to strive for, but it’s dragged down by everything else. From the ugly human models to the awful controller support. The fact that the racing is so awkward and unsatisfying means that that engine repairing is all you’ve got. If you can lose yourself in that, then you’ll find some fun. In the end though, you’ll be asked to drive the car to the drop-off location and it’ll all go downhill.- Movies Games and Tech

Project Motor Racing is not a good game. The frustrating vehicle gameplay, the violent A.I that comes to make your life a living hell and the fact the game punishes you for its own mistakes, really bring this game down. It isn’t fun to play and the online mode is evident that a lot of people don’t care about this game. Despite having nice looking cars, tracks based off of iconic locations and a career mode that does offer lots of freedom, it doesn’t make up for the poor gameplay. This is one race simulator you need to steer clear of.- Movies Games and Tech

Drywall Eating Simulator is a bite-sized comedic adventure. Developed and published by Peripheral Playbox, the game consists of four scenarios and plenty of contemporary satire. Players must manage their stress levels in order to complete tasks and find the exit. Interacting with NPCs and hearing the annoying things they say will increase stress, which reveals new walls to break down. To calm down, players can break these walls down and eat the pieces of drywall. Gameplay is simple and straightforward, but is a bit lackluster overall. This might be a game best played by content creators as a fun indie side game rather than having a large player base on its own. I remain hopeful for more content to be added in the future, but I suppose we will have to wait and see!- Movies Games and Tech

I do not recommend buying Blood of Mehran. They’re asking £21 for this; you can get a modern Assassin’s Creed or Dad of Boy for cheaper than that. I could barely stomach 2 hours and in that time I learned all I needed to know. It’s not even bad in way that’s entertaining or campy, it’s just mediocre at its core, kinda nostalgic in a weird way, like a clumsy PS2 game that’s been given a fan made texture mod. Both the gameplay and storytelling are beyond archaic and it has no place to stand in an industry with increasingly high standards. Sat next to me when I was playing it, my flatmate said it “looks like a mobile game from 2011”. And he’s right.- Movies Games and Tech

Folly Of The Wizards is just a boring, repetitive game. Mechanics, relics and weapons are never fully explained. The affinity system is interesting but never becomes something good. Another confusing addition that is just confusing. All this makes the game frustrating. Graphics and the level design is good and some of the boss fights are cool and challenging. Unfortunately, this is one roguelike where you do not want to try again after dying. There are better options out there in this genre. Folly Of The Wizards isn’t one of them.- Movies Games and Tech

This game, priced at $60, is not even close to an indie game in terms of visuals, story, gameplay, or even story length. The only positive thing about the game is its boss fights, but it still costs $60, while maybe $10 would be a better price. I do not recommend this game at all, especially at its current price.- Movies Games and Tech

Playing through this game, I am reminded of a similar game that came out last year. That being TCG Card Shop Simulator. The concept of a store management game isn’t new, but both games share that similarity and that you sell items of a specific hobby. While the gameplay loop was enjoyable, it sort of wears at a certain point. Sure, I’m making a lot of progress in improving my store, but it feels like a lot of the same for each in-game day. There doesn’t seem to be any unique events or changes throughout the days. Because of this, the game loses steam and ends up being very repetitive. As of writing this, the game is still receiving updates, so there may end up being improvements to the game.- Movies Games and Tech

Overall, Goosebumps Terror in Little Creek was pretty lackluster. Looking at the devs and publishers of the game, it kind of checks out that this game turned out this way. The developers PHL Collective and the publisher GameMill Entertainment are known for putting out low quality licensed kids games. Not to mention the pricing for Goosebumps, in my opinion, is not worth $40 USD for how short and barebones the experience was. On top of that, the game also has a $15 USD DLC pack that seems to only provide cosmetics, a 3D model viewer, and a concept art viewer. I can only recommend getting this game on a heavily discounted sale if you’re interested. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend this game, even if you wanted to buy it for your kids.- Movies Games and Tech

For everything that I’ve said about Spy Drops, some and hopefully all the negatives I’ve had with the game will be fixed. With a storyline clocking in at three hours, Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos succeeds in embodying more elements of a larger game’s series of side quests than it does a worthwhile spinoff. While there is oftentimes a critical inconsistency in accounting for a price when reviewing a product, this title makes such ignorance impossible. Complaints that could usually be considered minor hiccups, such as fluctuating graphical fidelity, a lack of variety in content, and performance issues, instead resemble ugly burps that reflect a blatant disregard for the audience willing to spend forty US dollars on a series that has earned their trust. To that crowd, shining moments of straightforward gameplay and satisfying voice acting do exist between these outbursts, making it apparent that there are components worth salvaging here. For a deep sale, perhaps the most devout fans of the Neptunia series will find the silver lining of this underwhelming spinoff worth enduring. For me, there is no fuel left in this ride.- Movies Games and Tech

Motocross has a solid history within video games, but MXGP 24: The Official Game falls short of the greats. Building up speed can never match the adrenaline expected when the player is, more often than not, interrupted in immersion-breaking ways. The competition can’t carry the same sort of rivalry found in sports when multiplayer options are scant and AI behaves a world away from holding a sense of realism. After a three-year absence, MXGP 24: The Official Game’s functions fine enough to let players cross the finish line, but no first-place victory validates what is flawed about this package.- Movies Games and Tech

Praising the game’s competency is difficult under the weight of its indifference towards anything but mimicry. It’s a title that more immediately identifies as a dime a dozen, uninspired app store experience more than anything else, one amongst many that are starting to populate platforms such as the Playstation Store, Steam, and the eShop. The dusty corners of these catalogs once fostered games capable of delivering on players’ faith that they might discover an overlooked gem. An overpopulation of undercooked experiences and titles drained of spirit has made a history of such hope, an especially harsh realization given how the niche audience for a series like Pilotwings genuinely yearns for a modern counterpart crafted with care. Pilot Sports is, unfortunately, not that game.- Movies Games and Tech

Mission: Rift Seeker is a game that has launched in early access. The game has solid fundamentals and is a fun colony simulation game. The game teaches you how to start your base and gives you a solid foundation with room to experiment and learn how to let your seekers thrive. However, for a game that revolves around sending your minions to do things, I wish I had more control over my seekers. I also wish things in the game were more clear about how they worked. In summary, “Neptunia Game Maker” is a game that had a lot of potential but fails to deliver on almost every front. The story is disjointed and quite difficult to follow with how many characters get introduced every second. The design is uninspired which doesn’t utilise the art style and the combat is lacklustre. Features like the bike and game development mechanics feel half-baked and add little to the overall experience. I cannot recommend this game to anyone as even to experience the story the player would be forced to drag themselves through the combat encounters. This unfortunately leads me to think it was simply a cheap soulless port, made to slurp up a few extra bucks before sinking back to the bottom of the riverbed. Yet apparently, this is a common occurrence for the folks over at Ultimate Games, so perhaps I shouldn’t be so surprised. Save yourself time and money, and support the indie devs out there who put their heart and soul into their projects, and for a lower price too! Keep on casting that line folks, there are plenty more fish in the sea.- Movies Games and Tech

Ultimately, the turn based strategy game, Clash 2 lacks the essential elements that make a game enjoyable. With its tedious gameplay, uninspired storytelling, and lack of innovation, it’s difficult to find redeeming qualities in this title. For those seeking a truly engaging gaming experience, Clash 2 falls short of the mark.- Movies Games and Tech

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection should have been a slam-dunk remaster. Instead, Aspyr broke two games that just needed a little polish. If you’re looking to re-live the experience of single-player campaigns or galactic conquest, this collection might be worth picking up. For those looking for an online Star Wars shooter experience, this is not the remaster you are looking for. While I can only hope that patches will fix this game’s problems, I don’t know if they will help it recover from the rocky launch. I would avoid this game until there are massive improvements.- Movies Games and Tech

Skull And Bones pitches itself as an exciting MMO pirate adventure. Unfortunately, it's not very adventurous or exciting, and the MMO elements just get in the way. The 'pirate' bit I'll grant it though.- Movies Games and Tech

The gameplay and controls are boring and annoying and there is no challenge in the game, the content of the game is very little and it can be finished in less than three and a half hours, the visuals are bad and unbearable, half of the missions have nothing to do with ship simulator at all, the sound quality is low. I do not recommend this game at all.- Movies Games and Tech

Food Truck Simulator is a game that has plenty of potential. However, game-breaking bugs prevent it from excelling. Moreover, you'll become frustrated as you repeatedly reload the game. Had there been no issues, this would have scored between 7 and 8 out of 10.- Movies Games and Tech

Things move extremely slow and while we have the ability to bump things up to three times the normal speed, there was nothing that really encouraged me to take those next steps. Homeseek is fun when you are locked into the gameplay loops but the moment you hit that first bump in the road in regards to waiting on something, the flaws start to come out. This is a major make or break moment for those who are on the fence here and nothing is really done to persuade you into continuing the game.- Movies Games and Tech

Revhead is a mixed bag racing title that bites off more than it can chew. Not only does it look terrible, but it sounds awful and handles like a bag of spanners. Moreover, it is confusing and there is no replay value or longevity. Consequently, this is one title to avoid.- Movies Games and Tech

For those looking for a short adventure to pass an evening, Shalnor Legends II is an okay title. My playthrough took me roughly 10 hours or so to see through to the end and was an alright way to pass a weekend. Unfortunately, there are a lot of better options out there when it comes to the adventure genre. While it is not terrible in any aspect, there are a lot of things that are just okay here. The visuals are passable but with some caveats. Some of the character models look extremely rough and hard to comprehend at first glance. Music is another instance of mediocracy. No tracks really stood out as exceptional or terrible during my time with the game. Everything about Shalnor Legends II just lands below average, making it extremely hard to recommend in a sea of games in the same genre.- Movies Games and Tech

I really wanted to like The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. I genuinely wanted to enjoy a unique take on a game set in the Lord of the Rings universe. Sadly, Gollum misses the mark. While the story is actually interesting, the gameplay, bugs and mechanics make it a painful slog.- Movies Games and Tech

This is a generic space adventure with very basic features that may capture some while others struggle to get past the intro. With a few minor performance issues and some questionable design decisions, this is a simple game that is okay to pass the time with. Personally, I wish the characters had a bit more depth to them or even stepped outside of the stereotypical roles that they fill but the gameplay is okay enough to make up for that. For those who enjoy games like XCOM, I think you have a pur-fictly okay time with Mitzi and the crew.- Movies Games and Tech

In the course of writing this review, I’ve learned that Red Mountain Studio, the developers of this game are a very small team and that might explain some of the oversights, but this is not a fun experience and honestly feels like it could have come out on the PS2.- Movies Games and Tech

I had such high hopes for this game going into it since the story concept is decent enough to warrant a playthrough but the characters seem flat and by the time you see any development or reason to be interested in, there is a chance you will be in the same boat as myself. It misses its first step and spends the rest of the time trying to bring you along for a journey that may have lost you right away.- Movies Games and Tech

This is definitely a game that has a lot of potential and I would love to see more from these developers but I really hope they do better with the next entry in the series. The switch port of the game ran fine with no performance issues in both handheld and docked mode. While the visuals were a little blurry in the handheld mode, playing docked made things look a little sharper but did not solve the issue of the game being too dark. While this could have been solved by turning the brightness on my monitor up, things ended up being washed out and muddy. The scares found here rely on loud sounds and sudden pop ins which is bound to get some players but may leave others wanting for something more.- Movies Games and Tech

In short, its attempt to be a party game is poorly executed as it sneers at the things that make party games fun: quick games, easy to understand, no cumbersome mechanics, a well-known cast, and creative worlds. Instead, Dokapon Kingdom Connect misses the mark in my opinion on pretty much all of these, too caught up in its attempt to be an RPG.- Movies Games and Tech

I do believe Tower Simulator 3 is good at its actual air port simulation but what’s missing here is everything that makes a game actually a game, something someone would actually want to play and not just observe and in that regard Tower Simulator 3 completely misses the mark. I really wish I could enjoy just setting the graphics up, look at these beautiful planes take off and roleplay as if I’m actually in a tower on a bright early morning, but sadly with all of my attempts this just didn’t happen.- Movies Games and Tech

Ayre and the Crystal Comet is a poor example of the genre. With badly optimised visuals, clumsy controls, and a world devoid of life, this will leave you wanting. On top of this, you can walk through the trees, the swimming animation is awful, and the less we say about the dragon and Ayre, the better! However, it isn't all doom and gloom. No, thankfully, the audio is good; the UI is well-considered, and there is plenty to do. Had the developer spent more time optimising the experience, then the game would have been much improved.- Movies Games and Tech

Lost Dream: Darkness is one of the worst games I have ever played. If it wasn’t for this review, I would have quit the game halfway throughout of pure boredom. While the sound design is alright, every other aspect of the game is lacking. I do not recommend giving this game a go even for its fairly cheap price. Postal 4 runs terribly, but maybe that’s the point. It is, at all times, replete with either dated, juvenile, or scatological humour, but I guess that could be the point? Postal 4 sucks, and if that’s the point, then Running With Scissors deserve some sort of Andy Kaufman award. The game costs $40. For me, the final score came down to the question of ‘would I actually pay for this?’ Absolutely not. This was awful. It could very well be a 10 in your eyes, but this is the easiest 2 I’ll ever give.- Movies Games and Tech

While a charming concept made by a small and seemingly earnest team, the gameplay, characters, and levels are all just too bland to warrant a better score. If anything can be said in this game's defence without mentioning it's charm, I guess it would be that at least it's only $15.- Movies Games and Tech

If you are looking for a beat-em-up where you can chase big combos and high scores, then buy Streets of Rage 4. If you are looking for a game with a coin-guzzling arcade feel that you can play with a few friends, then buy the TMNT collection or Shredder's Revenge. If you are looking for a charming game with a wonderful art-style and customization, then buy either River City Girls game. And if you love rap, don't particularly care for combos or the beat-em-up formula in general, but want the experience of playing as your favourite rapper, then buy Def Jam Fight For NY.- Movies Games and Tech

Overall, I would say my time spent with Colossal Cave was well spent. It was a fun way to experience an older title brought up to modern times. Unfortunately, the charm is lost on those who don’t have any experience with this style of game and may be extremely off putting for those who like a little more guidance without having to be penalized for using the hint system. One True Hero is a 3D platform adventure title that is lacklustre. Sadly, too many bugs and dated mechanics ruin this title. With colourful Disney and Pixar characters, and safe and fun gameplay, you can laugh, smile, and relax as you save Dreamlight Valley. Mostly, this is an excellent title. Nitro kid does a wonderful job of standing out from other rouge-likes but some of the glaring issues prevent it from being a strong contender against other titles such as The darkest Dungeon and one of the more recent popular titles, Hades. It was a fun little adventure and could definitely hit the spot if players are looking for another game to add to their backlog but will certainly leave players looking for more after their initial run is finished.- Movies Games and Tech

Overall, the fridge is red seems like a title that would hit it off well for those who are heavily invested in niche horror experiences but for those who are like myself, the intro did not do enough to get me hooked enough to fully understand what the story was behind the demonic red refrigerator. There were hints of a more coherent story throughout the game but since that interest was dashed on the rocks at the start, it was hard to want to piece everything together. The red fridge may be tempting for some to open, but it might be best that it remained closed.- Movies Games and Tech
