Callisto Protocol makes some mistakes, but in general computing the good wins by far. It is true that it is somewhat angry to see that something with so much potential has not been fully squeezed, but what it offers is already much more than most. We trust that combat system that we have loved and its setting to make the game worthwhile and we would love to see a second installment.- MGG Spain

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet prove that the series has not rested on its laurels. It's the most groundbreaking game in the main saga since Black and White, and will allow you to play Pokémon in a different way to the formula that was already starting to show wear and tear. Technically it could (and should) be better, but its modeling is so good and so varied, that it doesn't prevent you from enjoying the experience even if you would have liked a step further in the graphics and animations.- MGG Spain

God of War: Ragnarok is an unforgettable title. I will remember every epic moment, and also every emotional sentence. Because the new adventure of Kratos and Atreus is not just another sequel in the videogame world; it is a work that has a clear idea of what it wants to tell, it gets it right in the way it does it and it will also move you as few games have done.- MGG Spain

FIFA 23 is the best experience that Electronic Arts has created on the playing fields, but it suffers from exactly the same as always in terms of systems and monetization. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is a very good game. The combat, its customization and progression options, as well as the situations it puts you in to fight, shine brightly. The music and artwork are also up to par with what is expected in a sequel. What is not convincing is the exploration and puzzles that are overly hackneyed.- MGG Spain

There's less "A Plague Tale" than there should be. I trade you every day of the year the premise of 4K and 60 FPS for more adventures like this. It's reprehensible that the game doesn't perform better, and I won't be the one to argue with anyone who refuses to "jump through the hoops", but most titles come with half the thrills, half the character development, and half as much other stuff without us raising our voices about it.- MGG Spain

We don't know if it's a necessary remake or if someone asked for it, but since it's here, it's an enjoyable game. One of those that you can enjoy on a weekend when you don't feel like doing anything truly existential. The original is from 2006 and the passage of time is noticeable in terms of narrative and conceptual development; but on a technical level it is up to the new times.- MGG Spain

Saints Row still doesn't understand that the video game industry has changed since its last installment and must remodel its structure from scratch. While the narrative and jokes are good and moderately coherent within the madness of the game, the mechanical basis of this does not help at all when it comes to creating a competent title and above all, remarkable or outstanding.- MGG Spain

MultiVersus is much more than an attempt to be Smash Bros; it is a pretty big bet on a genre that was dominated by Nintendo and now sees MultiVersus as a real "enemy". Everything the big N's competitive fighting game doesn't have, Warner's has: a near-perfect online game, free and above all with a pretty good competitive scene, as it focuses a lot on this area. Warner's brawler has all the makings of being a real bomb if executed well, and seeing that there are veteran Riot workers behind it, we are sure that they will be several years giving the note until someone tries to bring them down from the cloud.- MGG Spain

Cult of the Lamb is a game with which you will have a great time, well designed and with a polished gameplay. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is one of the games of the year. There are moments that will make you laugh, get involved with what's happening... And also cry. The combat adds layers in a tremendously effective way throughout the many hours of gameplay, while the exploration and pacing of the title never fail to take totally effective turns. Perhaps it could have risked a little more in a couple of moments, which would make it rise to the Olympus of J-RPGs, but it is still one of the best titles of this genre in recent years.- MGG Spain

Live a Live is one of the most influential RPGs in history, but perhaps it has gone more unnoticed than it deserves for what it proposes and brings. Now, thanks to this Nintendo Switch remake we have a golden opportunity to get closer to what it offers. Although it is ideal to keep in perspective that it was written in 1994, as it has certain narrative concepts that can squeak us quite a bit. With its small flaws, it is one of those works that is worth playing, and that serve as an answer to justify video games as an artistic medium.- MGG Spain

If you like musou, Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes is one of the best options you're going to find on the market. If you're here because you like the tactical side of Nintendo's saga, you'll find similarities, but in the long run you may be put off by the particularity of this genre, which is designed for very special palates. As always, its elaborate narrative is its main attraction, as it offers an alternative but very interesting story that makes us want to know more about both the cast members and the many political intricacies of this medieval fantasy, which still bears many similarities to our society today.- MGG Spain

Mario Strikers: Battle League is a game that, when viewed individually and making use of multiplayer and online can be quite fun. Card Shark is the indie surprise of the year, or at least one of them. And we won't be thinking our heads off if it ends up being highly regarded among the GOTYs. A very fresh proposal, in which we are constantly learning new mechanics; and not just based on cheating with a French deck of cards, although that is its main premise. If its proposal is attractive, the icing on the cake is a very interesting plot, full of twists, conflicts of interest and, of course, constant deception and betrayal.- MGG Spain

Grid Legends has been a little prey to their intentions and times. The first, because what they wanted to reinforce the most is a narrative story mode that is far below what we expected to stay in no man's land. It is neither surprising, nor particularly interesting and does not seem to take itself too seriously. On the other hand, it doesn't invent the wheel either, never better said. Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a proposal that, in general terms, we have loved for its fidelity to the Alien movies and because it does not seek to be anything more than an action experience a la Left 4 Dead, already with built-in improvements that can be seen in Back 4 Blood, to kill aliens without stopping. However, it could have been much more and bring some variety to not always be the same. Still, if you are fans of the movie saga you can't let it escape.- MGG Spain

King's Bounty 2 is a more than remarkable return of the tactical franchise, which presents us with a world of the most original, accompanied by a story that, without surprising, gets what it wants: to entertain a good amount of hours to everyone who plays it. Even with its design flaws, the work makes up for it with a combat system as complete and deep, while simple, so that all types of users can enjoy it to the fullest.- MGG Spain

The feelings with Monster Train: First Class are great. It's a deep title, with tons of content and it plays great on Nintendo Switch. Perhaps it can be too demanding for those who are not fans of the roguelite card genre, but the reward if you invest hours in the title is a lot of fun.- MGG Spain

Psychonauts 2 is huge news for Xbox Game Studios, Double Fine, fans of the series and gamers in general. It's a title that overflows with charisma and deals with some very complicated issues in a brilliant way. Perhaps we could have asked for more from a gameplay or combat point of view, but it's impossible not to have a smile on your face when you reach the credits.- MGG Spain

Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut refines the formula of the original thanks to its technical improvements and taking advantage of the functions of PS5. The new DLC expands its story and, while it is not to go crazy, it is a good excuse to return to gallop through this samurai adventure that has already made a dent in the hearts of PlayStation players.- MGG Spain

Road 96 is an experience that you will remember in a few years if you let yourself be absorbed by its world. His first few bars may be confusing, but as the minutes go by and the puzzles begin to fit together, you determine what he wants to tell and how straightforward his message is. All this outlined with a cast of charismatic characters written in a fantastic way.- MGG Spain

Hades is a hellish road full of painful moments, full of satisfaction. That is to say, you will die and die a lot, but you will also learn, grow with Zagreo and overcome the expectations of the terrible Hades. Everything in this game is designed with exquisite taste, but you have to fulfill an indispensable requirement: that you enjoy roguelike tropes. That is to say, randomness, combat repetition, exacerbated difficulty and constant growth of your protagonist. If all this appeals to you, BEWARE, you're going to spend hundreds of hours glued to the controller with this little work of art.- MGG Spain

The bohemian Assassin's Creed Unity gives way to the rats and the rottenness of this Siege of Paris. A very well-managed expansion in which we again have to conquer a territory, but adds differential elements, such as a greater importance of stealth and new mechanics to distinguish it from what we have seen so far.- MGG Spain

What was born as a Skyrim mod has come true with a full game that is around ten hours long and offers an interesting story, full of time twists, four different endings and around ten hours long. Technically worked, with specific errors in its graphics and interface and with an intelligent use of time loops to solve missions, the player is challenged to discover the ins and outs of a civilization governed by the golden rule where the consequences of a bad action, they can be fatal. Discover the ins and outs of this small-scale civilization, make decisions and discover all its characters.- MGG Spain

The Ascent wants to make changes in a genre but it falls short and is not polished enough to offer a satisfactory experience. The setting is successful, it picks up the essence of the Cyberpunk style, giving it a further point of decadence and an extra element with the alien touch, with interesting character designs and offers an interesting action proposal that may fall short too. The biggest drawback comes in its optimization where there are many rough edges that present problems.- MGG Spain

Pokémon Unite is a superb game and also a terrifying micropayment store. While it remains up in the air whether we will have more generous challenges and events in the future, and even a revamp of the reward system, there is no doubt that greed makes worse a MOBA for Nintendo Switch that playably is impeccable.- MGG Spain

Onirike, from the Spanish DevilishGames, takes us on an adventure that reminds us of the value of dreaming and the memories we have saved. An adventure in three dimensions that brings a certain nostalgic factor to those games that were played at the beginning of the century and that have been forgotten. Platforms, chases and puzzles come together in an entertaining adventure that is weighed down by errors such as input lag in its controls and little variety. A Tim Burton atmosphere and colorful characters await in an adventure that although short, entertaining and has a great moral. All this at an affordable price.- MGG Spain

The general feeling with Death Door is being in front of a good game, which ends up getting lost a little when trying to do a little more than what the design intuits during the first hours. That does not detract from the fact that it is a tremendously enjoyable title and very careful in multiple aspects. A solid game that also has a perfect duration for what it proposes.- MGG Spain

Samurai Warrriors 5 is a full-fledged musou and a good installment of the saga, but it sins of being too flat and of not evolving the gameplay and the mechanics of the genre. Nor does it bring great new, in general, and is aimed only at fans. But, even so, it's a great entertainment that we recommend.- MGG Spain

Neo The World Winds With You is an atypical and special game. If you loved the first installment, this sequel will live up to it. Although it loses the surprise factor that the original had, it improves its formula and squeezes it with the jump to 3D and a more intense and dynamic combat. But beyond its RPG development, in which it does not particularly stand out, its greatest virtue is once again an intriguing story full of plot twists that keeps us puzzled from beginning to end.- MGG Spain

Perhaps with a little more consistency and a more extended evolution in the hours, it would have been a much more rounded product. But do not detract from what Cris Tales offers, which is a game that is very worthwhile if you like this kind of adventures, as it stands out from the rest and overflows with personality.- MGG Spain

F1 2021 arrives with the clear premise of being continuist and at the same time introducing improvements among what has worked well during these past deliveries. The inclusion of its story mode under the name of Braking Point gives a real breath of fresh air to a trite season mode that, while entertaining, needed this twist.- MGG Spain

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will delight fans of the original Nintendo 3DS game. Its dynamic combat system and exploration, and of course the adventure so focused on narrative that it proposes, is a perfect alternative for those who are not too much fan of the usual Monster Hunter games. However, the worst of MH Stories 2 is that the game doesn't strive to try to evolve and change his genre a bit.- MGG Spain

One of the Squaresoft classics and unpublished in European territory arrives and has been translated into Spanish. Legend of Mana provides a good amount of hours with an entertaining real-time combat system and a multitude of enemies to defeat. Build the world at your own pace and measure by using artifacts. A mechanic that on paper sounds pretty good but the absence of clues or guides makes it very difficult to advance quickly in the story.- MGG Spain

Scarlet Nexus is a nice beginning for a new franchise that offers an interesting new universe and some unique details, but still has room to improve. In the bright side you'll have some excellent combat mechanics, but lurking in the dark is a pretty static narrative and a world that claims to be explored... While you just can go following a straight line throught it.- MGG Spain
