Callisto Protocol makes some mistakes, but in general computing the good wins by far. It is true that it is somewhat angry to see that something with so much potential has not been fully squeezed, but what it offers is already much more than most. We trust that combat system that we have loved and its setting to make the game worthwhile and we would love to see a second installment.- MGG Spain

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet prove that the series has not rested on its laurels. It's the most groundbreaking game in the main saga since Black and White, and will allow you to play Pokémon in a different way to the formula that was already starting to show wear and tear. Technically it could (and should) be better, but its modeling is so good and so varied, that it doesn't prevent you from enjoying the experience even if you would have liked a step further in the graphics and animations.- MGG Spain

God of War: Ragnarok is an unforgettable title. I will remember every epic moment, and also every emotional sentence. Because the new adventure of Kratos and Atreus is not just another sequel in the videogame world; it is a work that has a clear idea of what it wants to tell, it gets it right in the way it does it and it will also move you as few games have done.- MGG Spain

FIFA 23 is the best experience that Electronic Arts has created on the playing fields, but it suffers from exactly the same as always in terms of systems and monetization. It is one of those games in which we must be very clear about what it is going to offer us and know how to live with it.- MGG Spain

Overwatch 2 is one of the best shooters of the year for obvious reasons. Its gameplay, competitiveness, extensive lore and huge fan base have made this second installment one of the biggest games of the next decade for Blizzard.- MGG Spain

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is a very good game. The combat, its customization and progression options, as well as the situations it puts you in to fight, shine brightly. The music and artwork are also up to par with what is expected in a sequel. What is not convincing is the exploration and puzzles that are overly hackneyed.- MGG Spain

There's less "A Plague Tale" than there should be. I trade you every day of the year the premise of 4K and 60 FPS for more adventures like this. It's reprehensible that the game doesn't perform better, and I won't be the one to argue with anyone who refuses to "jump through the hoops", but most titles come with half the thrills, half the character development, and half as much other stuff without us raising our voices about it.- MGG Spain

Although it has room for improvement, the truth is that it is a pleasant surprise after last year's title. 2K pays tribute to the NBA and recovers the value of the great moments that defined its rise to the Olympus of video games.- MGG Spain

We don't know if it's a necessary remake or if someone asked for it, but since it's here, it's an enjoyable game. One of those that you can enjoy on a weekend when you don't feel like doing anything truly existential. The original is from 2006 and the passage of time is noticeable in terms of narrative and conceptual development; but on a technical level it is up to the new times.- MGG Spain

A marvel for the entourage of fans of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangello and Donatello. 13 games in a single pack, and among some of them are some of the best beat'em up in history. If you feel like having a retro afternoon with the smell of pizza, there is no better option.- MGG Spain

Splatoon 3 may not have been making as much noise as other titles expected this year for Switch as the new generation Pokémon or Bayonetta 3, but it is certainly a safe value.- MGG Spain

Saints Row still doesn't understand that the video game industry has changed since its last installment and must remodel its structure from scratch. While the narrative and jokes are good and moderately coherent within the madness of the game, the mechanical basis of this does not help at all when it comes to creating a competent title and above all, remarkable or outstanding.- MGG Spain

MultiVersus is much more than an attempt to be Smash Bros; it is a pretty big bet on a genre that was dominated by Nintendo and now sees MultiVersus as a real "enemy". Everything the big N's competitive fighting game doesn't have, Warner's has: a near-perfect online game, free and above all with a pretty good competitive scene, as it focuses a lot on this area. Warner's brawler has all the makings of being a real bomb if executed well, and seeing that there are veteran Riot workers behind it, we are sure that they will be several years giving the note until someone tries to bring them down from the cloud.- MGG Spain

Cult of the Lamb is a game with which you will have a great time, well designed and with a polished gameplay. But perhaps it could have gone further with a couple of tweaks and moving away from a somewhat formulaic development: four zones and a final boss. For better or worse, what you see is what you get.- MGG Spain

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is one of the games of the year. There are moments that will make you laugh, get involved with what's happening... And also cry. The combat adds layers in a tremendously effective way throughout the many hours of gameplay, while the exploration and pacing of the title never fail to take totally effective turns. Perhaps it could have risked a little more in a couple of moments, which would make it rise to the Olympus of J-RPGs, but it is still one of the best titles of this genre in recent years.- MGG Spain

Live a Live is one of the most influential RPGs in history, but perhaps it has gone more unnoticed than it deserves for what it proposes and brings. Now, thanks to this Nintendo Switch remake we have a golden opportunity to get closer to what it offers. Although it is ideal to keep in perspective that it was written in 1994, as it has certain narrative concepts that can squeak us quite a bit. With its small flaws, it is one of those works that is worth playing, and that serve as an answer to justify video games as an artistic medium.- MGG Spain

Stray is an adventure that will dazzle you if you love kittens. Its best virtue is the exploration, which truly makes us feel like real felines. The most action-focused parts are the least inspired. Even so, it's a meowly good game to spend a couple of afternoons playing.- MGG Spain

F1 2022 is a return in style to the motor sport that we fell in love with more than 10 years ago with an outstanding technical and playable section. While it is true that if you are not a fan of Formula 1 you can get lost a little, those who most enjoy this discipline have everything to spend hours and hours inside the car, with a career mode that engages from the beginning and some Grand Prix that are the same from start to finish.- MGG Spain

As Dusk Falls will please you as much as its script does. There isn't much more to read because there isn't much to play with. If the story of one family or the other is able to grab you, you will enjoy the whole time the adventure lasts and you may even be encouraged to replay some stages to make a different decision.- MGG Spain

If you like musou, Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes is one of the best options you're going to find on the market. If you're here because you like the tactical side of Nintendo's saga, you'll find similarities, but in the long run you may be put off by the particularity of this genre, which is designed for very special palates. As always, its elaborate narrative is its main attraction, as it offers an alternative but very interesting story that makes us want to know more about both the cast members and the many political intricacies of this medieval fantasy, which still bears many similarities to our society today.- MGG Spain

Mario Strikers: Battle League is a game that, when viewed individually and making use of multiplayer and online can be quite fun. However, it arrives 15 years after Wii's Mario Football and hardly feels like that much of a leap forward. Not to mention the rampant lack of single-player content.- MGG Spain

Card Shark is the indie surprise of the year, or at least one of them. And we won't be thinking our heads off if it ends up being highly regarded among the GOTYs. A very fresh proposal, in which we are constantly learning new mechanics; and not just based on cheating with a French deck of cards, although that is its main premise. If its proposal is attractive, the icing on the cake is a very interesting plot, full of twists, conflicts of interest and, of course, constant deception and betrayal.- MGG Spain

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a dream pack made with immense affection, which knows how to please fans of the movie saga, and also how to enter through the eye of the smallest. As the videogames based on these toys have been doing for almost two decades. For all these reasons it is, without a doubt, the best LEGO videogame to date. You will like it even if Star Wars is not your thing.- MGG Spain

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is the perfection of the Borderlands formula and a spin-off that surpasses the saga that inspired it without adding as much as we would like. Its only intention is to be fun regardless of the consequences and it succeeds. A recipe that already amazed us in the past and that is renewed just enough to remain attractive.- MGG Spain

Kirby and the Forgotten Land may be a slight step down from similar Nintendo Switch games like Super Mario Odyssey itself, but it's one of those offerings that will light up your eyes with how much fun it is. It's less open-ended and more straightforward than modern platformers, but that traditional feel, along with the versatility brought by the charismatic character's transmorphic power, fit the package perfectly.- MGG Spain

Ghostwire Tokyo shines for its setting and development of its protagonists, although it abuses narrative that does not contribute much in its final episode. The work at the level of creating a desolate world has been perfect by Tango Gameworks. The main problem of the adventure is that it is halfway between genres.- MGG Spain

Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a title that although it is not the best spin-off of the saga, it is a breath of fresh air, brazen and hooligan in the purest Jojos style that offers new mechanics quite good for the franchise, highlighting above all its combat. However, its technical section is exceptionally poor with technical limitations that border on the absurd and its bosses are as forgettable as the secondary characters.- MGG Spain

Tunic is a pharaonic and well-dressed work that caught our attention because of its resemblance to the Nintendo hero and a beautiful artwork. However, it is much more than a low poly copy of a historical fan of the classic video game epic. It is a well-crafted set with one of the best maps we have had the pleasure of exploring whose mysteries more than pay for some of the desperate moments caused by the combat.- MGG Spain

While still partly a money-making machine for its MyFaction multiplayer, WWE 2K22 is back in style with a beautiful game that's clunky at times but shines with a huge amount of personality. The co-op with friends is incredibly fun and the customization within the game itself blows our imaginations to unimaginable levels. Welcome to your childhood.- MGG Spain
