Forget the graphics, cut scenes, little glitches, stupid supporting AI and the voice acting and concentrate on the excellent gameplay engine Silicon Knights have built. You will find yourself playing the same levels over and over again to build up your character and power up your inventory, while having a ton of fun.

Yes, for newcomers, Armored Core V is a difficult game, frustratingly difficult. Yet it can be rewarding to those willing to put their precious hours not into learning a new language, or a skill, but to master a mech-combat videogame.

Put simply, Time Machine Rogue Pilot does too little to differentiate itself which is a fatal shortcoming for an entry into such a saturated puzzle genre. Had it the actual capacity to take us back 20 years, it may have garnered more appeal.
