  1. Sonic Adventure is still a great game like it was back in the late 90's when it was on Dreamcast, but nothing has changed at all with this Xbox LIVE port - all the flaws still remain.
  2. This is a great game for the fanatics who like having all their Sonic games on a next generation console. However, if you're a casual fan looking for a masterpiece, all you'll find is a relic that was once considered greatness. It honestly pains me to say that.

Sonic Adventure reaparition has contradictory results. It is a charming game we all remember fondly, but the formula has aged badly.
  4. A horrible camera, lots of bugs, no widescreen or any significant news. Not a good use of your money.
  5. Am I glad to see this Dreamcast title on XBLA? Yes. It is just too bad a little more work didn't go into the porting process.

Sonic Adventure did not age well at all. The camera is frustrating and the voice overs are very weak. People who are looking for nostalgia could buy this game but even they should wait for Sonic Colors to come out.

A slapdash title like this shouldn't take anyone's time or money.

But i think sonic adventure did many things right. The control is its best here. Characters have weight to them. The graphics have not aged well but were amazing for there time. The levels are open and fun to explore. The music is incredible. It takes tons of different types of music that all sound great. Story is sloppy but that does not matter since the games are more about gameplay which is still great fun. Which a game should be. Expand

Sonic Adventure crafted great Sonic controls which could've been improved on but never did. Sonic Adventure: DX, the first 3D platformer I ever owned, how does it hold up now? Well, pretty well if you ask me. I mean, it plays EXACTLYSonic Adventure: DX, the first 3D platformer I ever owned, how does it hold up now? Well, pretty well if you ask me. I mean, it plays EXACTLY like the DX version only with HD graphics. The Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles stages are a lot of fun, the music is awesome ("It Doesn't Matter" was my anthem growing up), the story is engaging and never talks down to the audience/gamer, and the cutscenes are fun and campy. I also like the voice acting, though Knuckles and Big are pretty lifeless and boring (Seriously, Knuckles always sounds like he's narrating! It's actually kind of funny). As great as these things are, there are a few things that bothered me. The camera is pretty frustrating, it's easy for a character to get caught on walls when running down narrow pathways which breaks your momentum (very annoying). The hub worlds feel like padding and the "unlockables" you get from doing missions are nothing but a bunch of crappy Game Gear games. The real salt to the wound is Big the Cat, quite possibly the most useless waste of animation ever put in a game! His voice sucks, the character sucks, his gameplay (fishing) sucks. He just shouldn't exist at all imo. Amy and Gamma's stages are also pretty dull as well, but their stages don't really last too long. Overall, this is a fun game and if you liked it on the Gamecube, you'll like it on the 360. Expand
