Shrek Forever After is easily the best Shrek game I have ever played on this or any previous generation system, and is one of my top three "movie games" of all time.
-
It's abundantly clear that the game developers wanted to create an enjoyable title that engaged a range of age group and gameplay styles. What's really nice is that while they haven't perfected the formula, they have taken a big step forward.
-
Overall, Shrek Forever After for the Xbox 360 is one of the better movie based titles released this year and it features a terrific drop-in/drop out cooperative mode which makes for some great family gaming.
-
A surprisingly decent movie tie-in with a fun four-player mode that will amuse players of any age.
-
Another decent familiy tie-in from Activision, maybe not quite enjoyable as Kung-Fu Panda or Ice Age, but still entertaining for a childish audience. Best if played in co-op with 2-4 other people, the lack of an online mode is really a shame.
-
It is a family oriented action game that sticks to the mold of the genre from beginning to end. The younger gamers will thoroughly enjoy the adventure and older gamers won't be completely annoyed by having to either watch or play along.
