Brief and simple, SteamWorld Dig: A Fistful of Dirt is also addictive and fun, with just the right amount of entertainment for your coin.

Surprisingly good for a game mainly sold on controversy, Hatred has solid gameplay and presentation, but also a severe lack of depth and its own exaggerations often fall into the realm of parody.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood represents the return of the action-packed gore and classic mechanics we loved from the 2014 game. The neo-goth and futuristic design, along with frantic gun and run gunplay make this stand-alone release a solid option for any FPS enthusiast. We loved to return to Castle Wolfenstein and to escape from it as we did in 1992.

An explosion of color and personality, Splatoon is brilliant as a light shooter that innovates in its genre. Having said that, Splatoon is also ridden by a chronic and surprising lack of content.

Pillars of Eternity stands on its own merits without resorting to nostalgia too much. Truly a CRPG masterpiece, the game offers old school, real-time strategic combat, and a vivid world to explore. Not only do you get an overall well-made experience, but also a challenge you haven't seen since the 90's.

The current paragon of role-playing titles and open worlds, The Witcher: Wild Hunt is a game for the ages; a rich and immersive world full of significant decisions and a feeling of intelligent and epic fantasy. Peerless.

Project CARS is the first true next-gen simulator. With a good variety of cars and tracks, this game is pretty solid, considering that it was mostly fan funded. The lightning effects and everything else on the track, gives you one of the most realistic feelings a sim can give you right now. Just keep in mind that it's a difficult game, so it's not intended for newcomers, only really hardcore sim fans will enjoy it and make the most of it.

A forgotten yet interesting setting, World War I receives its first full-fledged realistic FPS with Verdun, a solid but perhaps limited game that recreates trench warfare nicely but falls short in some content aspects. Definitely worth a try for the historical game enthusiasts.

Made and payed by fans, Broken Age is the best testimony of an era in which niche games go through the influence and approval of the community. The result is a solid title with calculated charm despite the lack of soul found in the classics of the genre.

As a visual overhaul, State of Decay: Year One Edition leaves a lot to be desired, but the abundance of contents featured in this package and the unique nature of the experience as a whole, make up for the lackluster visuals and the notorious frame rate drops.

Grand Theft Auto V offers a fairly large amount of graphical options to achieve smooth 60 fps on a variety of modest configurations and has enough options to push visual quality up to 4K resolution and beyond for those with beefy enough computers. The arrival of GTA V on PC was long awaited, but it was definitely worth the wait.

Mortal Kombat X is an excellent iteration with great new features that make it feel fresh in every sense. A visual overhaul, new fighting styles and a rich online experience that, despite minor flaws, remains as the ultimate tool to test yourself against other players around the world, make MKX a must have for lovers of the fighting genre.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection represents the definitive opportunity to enjoy two of the most beloved games out there, and the most complete anthology of downloadable content in one package. Mario Party 10 fulfills the purpose of entertaining the whole family and brings some interesting innovations to the table thanks to the Game Pad ―like the Bowser Party mode. You have to commend Visceral Games for trying something new. Sadly, though, Battlefield Hardline ends up being a lackluster mix of concepts, none of which actually shines with a light of its own. For every single-player or multiplayer idea in Battlefield Hardline, there's a better equivalent somewhere else, including Battlefield 4.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD won't satisfy every fan of the series, but it is a good offer that deserves a try, specially because it is a spin-off. Type-0 HD has minor flaws, but thanks to its interesting history, formidable soundtrack and large amount of characters, missions and past references, it offers great replay value, a rare quality among games nowadays.

This is truly the definitive edition of a great hack and slash game. The exclusive additions may seem dreary, but they actually refresh the fighting system and serve as a return to the roots of the franchise. This is a well-made re-edition.
