EA Sports F1 25 is much better than last year's installment, and Codemasters addressed key points to ensure its fans weren't disappointed. Braking Point 3 and My Team 2.0 are high-quality offerings that warrant recommending the game to fans of the competition and those looking to immerse themselves in its world. The handling improvements, despite their rough edges that will surely be addressed in future updates, are a decent sim cadence, as is the audio-visual section. Despite the less than favorable environment, this is a good F1 installment, and it will undoubtedly hold its own throughout the season.- LevelUp

Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Nintendo Switch 2 is a surprisingly strong version of Ubisoft’s big open-world game. It keeps the large maps, the fast combat, and the two-hero story, while using the Switch 2’s improved power to offer stable performance and clear graphics in docked mode. Some details like shadows and textures are reduced, but the game still feels complete, making it a solid portable way to play it.- LevelUp

NBA 2K18 remains the best basketball game out there right now. Great gameplay, lots of modes and the online component is pretty solid. The only downside is the aggressive monetization system in the single player MyCareer mode.- LevelUp

With an inspiring art direction, a relentless but interesting game design and a good combat system, The Banner Saga only suffers from a lack of variety in its fighting scenarios and its slow caravan sequences. This solid Kickstarter game shows its pedigree but some players might not get charmed by its particular setting.- LevelUp

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon's campaign is too short and lacks challenge, but it makes up for those shortcomings with an over-the-top production, hilarious characters and dialogue, and enough fun to leave you asking for more.- LevelUp

Even though the new additions to Sonic Generations are very welcome, the real star of this package is Shadow. His levels, movements, story and the Overworld White Space are worthy of a character this important, and all the positive things this new campaign does can work perfectly in the next games of both him and Sonic.- LevelUp

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a game with a lot of quality, but it is far from perfect. However, it is a product by a team that fulfilled their mission of providing a sincere and heartfelt game. It is well worth giving it a chance.- LevelUp

An exhilarating musical experience, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE successfully combines self-expression, J-Pop styled drama and great JRPG battles, but is hindered by tedious dungeons and outclassed world design.- LevelUp

Pokémon Sword & Shield are an experience full of bittersweet contrasts. They do several things right and Pokémon fans will have a great time exploring Galar. With that said they also have half-baked elements that feel off. I have to admit that they leave me excited for the future of the series; hopefully, Game Freak will commit to ideas like the Wild Area and Dynamax forms.- LevelUp

Despite his flaws, NBA 2K23 leaves the franchise in a better position than it was in recent years. Microtransactions continue to devour uncontrollably online modes, however, traditional modes are still there with gameplay better than ever. In the end, this year's edition can satisfy all types of players and although controversial, NBA 2K23 is a positive experience.- LevelUp

Ascension might be a prequel but it's far from a step behind in the relevance of God of War. Instead it is a necessary evolution that builds a better future for the franchise. Its half baked multiplayer could benefit with further balance and better objectives but putting that aside, the story is as tradition dictates an epic tale of vengeance, blood and loads of action. Despite the glorious combat and top-notch graphics, we can avoid feeling disenchanted with a toned down Kratos, but after all it comes with the logic of this being the beginnings.- LevelUp

Puppeteer offers a great experience, full of memorable and charismatic characters and awesome graphics, but one of its best features is that it really puts you right in the spotlight of a little puppet theater, where you play the roles of the star and the entertainer at the same time. This is one of those games that we'll remember for a long time and that reminded us that innovation is still possible in video games.- LevelUp

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is a free to play game designed for those who have been active in the card game for years and are looking for a space to measure themselves against other duelists from around the world. It's a deep game, with over 10,000 cards and updated rules. It's also addictive and a lot of fun, but less experienced players will struggle as they adjust to competitive play.- LevelUp

400 Days is an experience that no fan of the first season of The Walking Dead should miss. Although it's a shorter experience and lacks the same intensity, drama and shocking moments of Lee's and Clementine's story, it maintains that unique concept and freedom to decide the fate of the characters and those around them.- LevelUp

Land of the Morning Light delivers a captivating and enchanting adventure, making it an essential expansion for Black Desert Online veterans. While it doesn't address all long-standing issues, it offers compelling content, immersive storytelling, and intense boss battles. It also serves as a great entry point for newcomers seeking a smaller and accessible experience. Overall, it's a must-play MMO expansion that immerses players in the folklore of South Korea.- LevelUp

NEO: The World Ends With You is Square Enix's bid to revive a game that achieved cult status. Unfortunately, this sequel does not dare to take risks and, consequently, it is not very endearing. With a slow start, after so much pressing buttons you will question whether to continue the adventure, fortunately, the pace of the game improves over time and the charisma of its characters will make you continue to the end.- LevelUp

Gravity Rush 2 is an excellent game with a well-told story and interesting characters. There are a ton of things to do with 27 main missions and more than 40 side quests that are imaginative and well thought. This game surpasses its predecessor by far with a very large world made up of floating islands that is way bigger and more beautiful than you might think. Gameplay is satisfying but not without its flaws. There is no lock-on system so sometimes you end up disorientated mid fight and you’ll mainly use one attack for most of the battles. In spite of this flaws the game is engaging and a lot of fun. You can almost feel the care and attention the developers put into it.- LevelUp

Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves marks the return of a legendary franchise with new mechanics but a classic approach aimed entirely at the competitive environment. This move worked out well but SNK's game is somewhat lacking in other aspects such as game modes and options for casual gamers. Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves is a solid fighting game that we will see in all the tournaments but the rest of the package is somewhat sloppy. The bonus is that we can play with Cristiano Ronaldo, who to everyone's surprise, is a powerful and well-designed fighter.- LevelUp

The King of Fighters XV is a solid and very fast fighting game that tests your skills. It shows how such a long-lived saga can evolve without losing its essence. Although it offers little content for casual players, the graphical upgrade, new mechanics, and rollback netcode makes the difference. All these changes are noticeable and put the franchise in the right direction.- LevelUp
