Elden Ring: Nightreign reimagines FromSoftware’s soulslike formula as a thrilling cooperative experience, blending roguelike and Battle Royale elements. Fast-paced movement complements strategic, pattern-based combat across dynamic biomes, with emergent gameplay systems keeping every run fresh. Addictive and accessible, Nightreign shines brightest with friends to vanquish Night Lords. It’s a bold evolution for fans.

Fun and simple, but not condescending, OlliOlli is a great addition to the PS Vita library of games. Some players will get frustrated by its abrupt learning curve, but once you pass that point the title is very enjoyable.

Civilization: Beyond Earth - Rising Tide is a mixed bag: it is an expansion that fails to meet the standards of its classic counterpart; however, it adds much needed improvements to water combat and diplomacy. Recommended for completionists more than for newcomers, who should stick with Civilization V and its expansions.

The arrival of DOOM on Nintendo Switch is an achievement that must be celebrated by playing. Panic Button has done a wonderful work with the id Tech 6 engine that captures, most of the time, the complete and ultra-violent experience of one of the best FPS in recent time.

Kirby Air Riders is a masterclass in game design and in how to make an anticipated sequel. It has everything that made the original game so incredible, and it adds so much content that it seems like an infinite title. You can play it by yourself or with friends in local or online multiplayer, and in any way it will make you have a blast.

The King of Fighters is back to claim its place as one of the most beloved fighting series of all time. Sadly though, it keeps using the same formula without even trying to innovate the core mechanics of the franchise which will only bring back the veteran enthusiasts instead of appealing to new generations. Quantity is not the same as quality and having a lot of characters on the roster won't make up for issues like a bad netcode or horrible 3D graphics.

Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven is a fantastic JRPG and I hope this is the opportunity for it to connect with more people. SaGa is a series whose experimentation makes it have very high good moments, but extremely difficult to digest bad moments and Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is one of the highest points it has hit and becomes the best way for anyone to try this series for the first time.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment feels more connected to the official Zelda canon. Its story builds on the past established in Tears of the Kingdom, giving it more coherence and emotional weight. Gameplay improvements like smarter ally AI, fuller maps, and new Zonai artifacts make combat more dynamic. While some camera issues and the lack of online co-op contrast with all the good things, it’s still a thrilling and polished experience that expands the Zelda universe in the Musou genre. A must-play for fans enjoying the new Switch 2.

Gears of War: Judgment marks a successful return to the GoW universe. The declassified missions, as well as the Horde ones, fit beautifully in the game and makes it a strong FPS with a nice Arcade touch, similar to what we saw in Bulletstorm.

NBA 2K25 shows that Visual Concepts has not stagnated in its comfort zone and the goal remains to grow, test new technologies and offer the greatest amount of content in a sports game. In terms of gameplay, new systems and experience customization, this year's installment is on another level and can easily look over its shoulder at other IPs. NBA 2K25 still offers a lot for the traditional gamer and the enthusiast. Now that the generation gap has become larger, we can say that NBA 2K25 is, truly, the first game of this Next-Gen that we have owed so much and that is enough to get lost in the court no matter what is happening around.

It seems that Codemasters' plan is to revolutionize its F1 franchise every 2 years and this season we saw minimal changes. However, the result is still outstanding and although it is necessary to correct some details, it is, today, the best Formula 1 game. The career mode is a great success and in itself is worth it to start the engine of the car. compete on the top circuit. It may cause division between realism enthusiasts and casuals in its released state, but not everything has been said. Despite this, in general it is, once again, one of the best sports games of the year.

Call of Duty: WWII offers an interesting but short single player campaign and a generic multiplayer component that implements a new and entertaining asymmetric objective-based mode called War. Unfortunately, the game suffers in key areas and that keeps it from being great; the audio is bland, the graphics are pretty common, and the gameplay is nothing that we haven’t seen a thousand times already. Outside of the War modality, multiplayer wears thin quickly and there is not much reason to keep you playing for long.

The definitive edition of Mafia isn't perfect, but the experience is charming thanks to its ability to capture the soul of an exciting era to tell us one of the best crime stories in video games. Detroit: Become Human is a design achievement in which every choice you make matters. The narrative evolves with ease, with great rhythm and without ridiculous situations. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is here to indulge fans of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Its frenetic action-packed system is smoothly enjoyed and the narrative helps keep you glued to control. Unfortunately, it is not perfect and suffers from technical problems that, although not serious, affect the experience, especially in cooperative mode. A good option if you like the Musou genre.
