Ironically, the futuristic theme and the year in which it debuted, 2020, makes PACER a beautiful journey to the past we aspired at the end of the 90s.

World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition is a good port of the PC version, even though it lacks many of its features. It's a solid and enjoyable multiplayer experience that every Xbox 360 owner should try.

A game with a tremendous, top notch style but a distinctive lack of depth, Child of Light is a fragile and ephemeral dream.

The Plucky Squire was worth the wait; it’s the definition of indie perfection: it has a lot of quality, heart, soul, innovation and charm. Thanks to the characters, their personality, the world and all the creative things it does constantly, it has become one of our games of the year and one that we will remember with a lot of love.

Demand for Wooly World in any of its versions (Wii U or 3DS) to match the greatness of Yoshi’s Island or Yoshi’s World might seem to be asking too much, but the thing is that it has the potential to do so. What the game offers right now is enough to please Yoshi’s fans at its most, even if the rest of the players won’t get their expectations fulfilled. Still Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World is a fun, adorable and enjoyable game, and one of the best in the platform genre that you can find on the 3DS.

Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider is a fantastic platformer that combines the best elements from the SNES and Genesis era with some fresh and fun ideas. It is difficult, as some of its inspirations, but beginners can still enjoy it and have a great time.

Tchia has a lot of heart and charm. It's clear that the developers really wanted to honor the culture, traditions, landscapes and music of New Caledonia. Unfortunately, the exploration is repetitive after a few hours, the soul-Jumping mechanic never reaches its true potential and the combat is bland. That's unfortunately, as the game tries with love and honesty be a memorable experience.

Despite some minor execution problems, Skyrim VR is a good example of how a traditional game can be translated to VR. The sacrifices made to bring Tamriel to life on a virtual reality landscape are worth it if you consider the completely new perspective used to explore this magnificent RPG, which translates to a whole new immersive experience.

Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden is an irregular game. The combat system is very addictive and fun, and the history is attractive due the characters and plot twists. However, there are a lot of rough corners. The exploration is boring and tedious, while the random fights are very annoying. And there are no innovations. If you can ignore the flaws, you'll find a classic and charming JRPG. Otherwise, turn around and look for a more ambitious game.

Soul Sacrifice will not appeal to every PS Vita fan and it doesn't take advantage of the console's capabilities as much as we would have liked, but an innovative approach to the action RPG core mechanic turns it into a challenging and addictive experience.

Crimson Desert is one of the most ambitious games in a long time. It’s an expansive, and deeply detailed fantasy world that constantly invites exploration and rewards curiosity. Its fluid, skill-based combat and sheer scale are genuinely impressive, but that same ambition often works against it. A lack of focus, overly complex systems, and a slow, demanding progression can make the experience feel overwhelming and, at times, exhausting. It’s a game of extremes: deeply immersive and rewarding for those willing to invest the time, but far from accessible for everyone.

Resident Evil 3 is a different monster compared to last year release. While it lost some of his tetric atmosphere, a sense or urgency is gained in the form of Nemesis, a hulkin powerhose behind your heels. However, its short campaign, lack of replayability and forgettable multiplayer, will make this year Resident Evil a hard sell.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is an entertaining game, but it has a long way to go before it can compete against the big names of the genre. It is evident that Milestone thought of it as a casual arcade racing game that you can enjoy in challenges with your friends to spend a time full of laughter and chaotic fun. Unfortunately, this good foundation suffers from a completely soulless and generic track design that you'll quickly forget.

This might be a game best suited for mobile devices, but Hitman GO: Definitive Edition shows how good a title like this could be enjoyed con consoles, PC or PS Vita. Its challenging puzzles and art style give the players a reason to keep playing till the very end.

As Dusk Falls is an emotional story with broken characters whose lives take a turn in the wrong direction simply because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Something that, unfortunately, can happen to anyone. This narrative introduces us to a cast of morally gray characters who must make difficult decisions with repercussions that mark their lives and the lives of others. It thus explores how people process, cope with, or try to escape from trauma. As it is practically an interactive movie, it may bore those who are looking for action. On the other hand, those who enjoy this type of experience will find it a worthwhile adventure.

Lords of the Fallen is an intriguing soulslike proposition that draws inspiration from well-known franchises in the genre. It offers 2 interesting worlds to explore simultaneously, characters with different styles to choose from, a cooperative mode that enriches the adventure, and a vast catalog of weapons. However, the game still has some technical flaws, and that could be the trigger to abandon it at any time.

With New Super Luigi U, Nintendo showed us once more that game design is its main concern. Even though it seems that the developers only tweaked small bits of the game, like Luigi's movement or the length of some levels, at the end those small changes really impact the whole experience. This DLC adds a lot of content to the original game, although some things feel rushed, like the story that justifies Luigi's being the protagonist in the first place.

EA Sports WRC is the first of its kind and although the result is bittersweet, it has solid foundations that could take the franchise to a better level. The heritage of Colin McRae's installments is there, Codemasters was guardian of it for 2 decades, and of course there is a vote of confidence for what they will do in future editions. Unfortunately, in his debut the result is not what was expected and amounts to a slump after a period with good results in his racing game releases. EA Sports WRC is not unplayable, nor a disaster, but it is far from great, although there is room for improvement with the passage of time and updates, so perhaps you could consider it for later.

SEASON: A letter to the future is unique, relaxing and beautiful; even more important, it's a game with something to say. In general, explore this world is satisfying if you connect with the concept and topics. However, it isn't an experience for everyone. Some will find it boring and repetitive.

The Disney Afternoon Collection is an object lesson in how game compilations should be developed, providing rock-solid adaptation to a new platform, respecting the material’s historic context, and exercising restraint. It’s one hell of a collection with great visuals, rich extras and challenging time attack modes.

Even though Crytek seemed to have tried to sell Crysis 3 more as a technical achievement than as an actual game, the fact is that this is a FPS that sticks out for more than its aesthetic component, by providing an experience with an identity of its own, despite being a brief one.

Bungie's new IP is a noble effort to escape from the ghosts of the past, an opportunity to succeed and leave its old franchises behind. Destiny offers a solid combat experience, challenging boss fights and a never ending progression system; however the world is not engaging and the story and lore bits are forgettable or absent, which is a shame given the magnitude of the project.

LawBreakers' greatest attribute lies in its great low-gravity combat paired with a solid roster of characters. Having said that, the game modes lack any creativity, which results in a game that doesn't have enough charisma to define itself.

Mario Tennis Fever is the most complete entry in the series so far. The game offers fast-paced matches, creative power shots, and a surprisingly stable online mode. While motion controls feel inaccurate and disappointing, the core gameplay, large character roster, and multiplayer options make it a very fun and engaging experience on Nintendo Switch 2.

Dragon Quest Heroes II is a great improvement compared with the original game. It offers a very enjoyable hack-and-slash experience, one that rewards experimentation with the characters and its abilities. Even with some pacing issues, this love letter to the fans keeps the essence of the series and gives it a new purpose with the help of impressive visuals.

Tacoma is not for everyone. Even if you like this sort of game, we should warn you that it lasts only about 5 hours. Now, as brief as it is, the experience is also pretty satisfying. You will hardly find any good reason to play it more than once but if you are willing to commit with the story, you will surely enjoy it.

Assassin's Creed Mirage is an entertaining product, but also one that makes me wonder about everything that could have been. I'd be lying if I said I had a bad time running around Baghdad, doing parkour and turning into a shadow to take out my enemies. It was quite the opposite, there were even several moments where I felt like I was in front of my old TV with an Xbox 360 controller in hand and ignoring the history homework to better immerse myself in virtual Jerusalem. Sadly those feelings remain just that -feelings- and Mirage is unable to transcend and recapture all the magic that made Assassin's Creed one of the biggest franchises in the medium.

EA Sports FC 25 marks a turning point for the better in the renewed football franchise. Of course, it carries some vices from the past, but it is far from those disastrous moments or those that showed a lack of interest among followers of this type of games. We can say that the foundation is being built for a total football experience that satisfies casual and demanding players and that is saying a lot, as it breaks with the mediocre period of recent years. We are sure that this year's installment will have more fun for you and that you will scream with emotion for each goal as if it were real, so, believe it or not, there are more good ones than bad ones this year. Happy start to the football season.
