Battlefield 6 isn't merely a return to form; it's a full-blown resurrection. Every element that once made this series essential has been restored, refined, and reinvigorated with a confidence that borders on miraculous. An essential multiplayer for years to come.

PES 2018 is a solid football experience but realism on the pitch can't make up for the lack of added value, general innovation, licenses and design flaws forever. The clock is ticking and PES is evolving too slowly by today standards.

Although not as popular as other sports franchises, EA Sports UFC 4 is one of the best simulation games out there today. EA Vancouver struck a balance between realistic and video game elements to deliver a game that meets MMA fans' expectations.

Dragon's Crown is a perfect mixture between addictive gameplay and a friendly combat system that can be a real challenge for those seeking to submerge themselves in this beautiful world. In this time filled with mediocre beat'em ups, Dragon's Crown really sticks out.

The distinctive feature of MGR: Revengeance is the Blade mode. Platinum Games surpassed themselves with the development of the mechanics on this is game: the cuts that you make with Raiden's katana will be extremely accurate, your enemy's limbs will detach right where you aim just like a piece of ham that was put through a slicer.

A brave vision that communicates a unique message —almost anachronic—. In a sea of contemporary explosions, noise and violence, The Last Guardian is a pause that contributes to videogames with something special despite some design annoyances.

EA Sports College Football 26 maintains the level of last year's game and adds specific improvements, reminding us that, after all, this is what sports games with annual releases are all about. Without a doubt, even with some glitches and bugs, this is one of the best sports games of the year, and the best part is that it has a unique essence. College football has more tradition and passion than the NFL, and all it takes is dedicating time and attention to your favorite team to make you feel part of it.

The title definitely has good intentions but it inevitably falls short. Clichés and bogged down mechanics appear early in the game. Some mind-blowing scenes freshen up the experience but the riddles are either dull or poorly designed.

Telltale Games has done it again. The Wolf Among Us mixes a great story, superb voice acting, exciting game mechanics and a cliffhanger ending that left us wondering how this incredible story will continue.

In Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, there is no open world, nor does it seek to reinvent what we have been playing for years; instead, it transforms each race into a battlefield, where the most important thing is to never hit the brakes. On the other hand, the lack of content is noticeable: although there are enough tracks and the crossworlds add variety, repeating the same circuits over and over again can become tedious. Hopefully, over time, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will grow with new content and make the most of the licenses it has on its side.

More a transition than an actual evolution of the concept, Far Cry 4 is still a thrilling adventure. But we were expecting a bit more innovation, besides a cooperative option and a few elephants.

Shinji Mikami's masterpiece is just as we remember it, only better. Capcom did a good job overhauling the once great-looking version of the best game in the survival horror genre. We are happy with its looks, the controls, and the way it keeps relevant in today standards. Resident Evil HD Remaster is a must have for newcomers in the series and veterans alike.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist offers a complete and balanced experience. Its campaign and multiplayer modes are filled with fun and addictive gameplay, specially Mercs vs. Spies. The stealth mechanics are great and they make this game the best Splinter Cell of this generation.

While the gaming system remains solid and to some extent accessible, TEKKEN 7 almost does not add to the legacy of the franchise. Individual modes are few, story mode is poorly achieved and although modes like Treasure Battle is addictive and fun, it is not enough.

Four years after its original release, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker to remind us why it is one of the best puzzle platformers on the market. The Super Mario Odyssey levels, the resolution bump on TV mode and the coop experience may not be enough to buy it again, but its clever level design and original concept make it a game that Nintendo fans can’t afford to miss.

To the hardcore fan, Madden NFL 18 will be an inconsistent experience. For every change or improvement made in the form of Frostbite or MUT Squads, there's a raw aspect or a neglected aspect, such as the Franchise's inconsequential tweaks, the presentation shortcomings in Longhot or the irritating loading screens. If you are new to the franchise, on the other hand, this is a solid sports game.

FIFA 15 takes two steps forward and one step back in almost every component of the game. The presentation is as sleek as ever, but it still lacks some realism in terms of gesture and animation. Tactical accessibility, on the other hand, came at the expense of thoroughness, and mobility feels more realistic but also heavier. Despite all of this, FIFA 15 remains the deepest, most addictive and fun football experience out there.

Marathon finds itself in a difficult position. On one hand, it is a title unafraid to make you eat dirt and learn from your mistakes, all while delivering an experience with few apparent downsides—at least on paper—and featuring a presentation that stands out amidst the endless array of hyper-realistic offerings currently flooding the market. On the other hand, it is a tough sell to an audience whose sheer fatigue with "games as a service" keeps them at a safe distance from the blast zone.

It's not that common that a game as extravagant as this one manages to offer such a fun story, deep gameplay and a great soundtrack. Volition focused on offering a great dose of raw fun and they succeeded. As the last game of the series, Saints Row IV delivers everything that we wanted to see in it and even a bit more.

Dense, immersive and beautiful, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a genuine surprise. With a unique atmosphere, outstanding sound design and solid controls, it could have been masterful had it not been for the creeping shadow of repetitiveness, an exhausting dose of backtracking and some frustration to stop it, especially towards the end. Having said that, this is a truly remarkable and affordable experience.
