Kirby: Planet Robobot will be a great addition to your 3DS library. It is a solid game with a good mix between old school concepts and new mechanics that ultimately translate into fun experiences for the fans from the first level to the very end. It may be way too easy to beat. Despite the lack of challenge, your inner kid will find a lot of joy and flavor in its colored scenarios as well as all the added modes included in Kirby: Planet Robobot.

Nintendo gave us a good example how remakes should be done. This new version of the beloved Game Boy Advance game reminded us why the first adventure on Mario & Luigi series was unforgettable for the fans.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is massive and spectacular, but also very familiar. Despite its flaws, it's close to being the Japanese-set installment fans have been asking for for years.

An explosion of color and personality, Splatoon is brilliant as a light shooter that innovates in its genre. Having said that, Splatoon is also ridden by a chronic and surprising lack of content.

Tearaway Unfolded may not surpass its predecessor when it comes to quality, but it definitely does when it comes to contents and the way it taps into the qualities of the platform to achieve a level of interaction with the player that is rarely seen.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is a classic JRPG that manages to convey the essence of Japanese pop culture with a touch of Fire Emblem and everything Atlus has perfected in its games. A take-out edition that justifies the purchase and some extras that may be due if you played the Wii U version.

The New Order is a lackluster shooter with detrimental game mechanics. If it wasn't for its focus in storytelling, it would be just another classic that failed to return.

WWE 2K24 is the wrestling game every fan wants: it offers a lot of content, new types of matches, a very complete roster and it keeps the gameplay fun and fresh all the time. If you love the history and present of WWE, you are gonna enjoy it.

With Advanced Warfare, Sledgehammer succeeds at something we thought impossible at this point: adding freshness to a washed-out formula, without breaking it. This is the best Call of Duty in years; it looks better, it plays great, and sounds amazing, even when it remains the same experience we've learned to expect. The real question now is if Treyarch and Infinity Ward will be able to emulate the same passion and creativity of Sledgehammer.

Despite its shortcomings, including its simplicity and lack of variety, Alien: Isolation is what the franchise needed: a simple and well-executed experience that conveys the horror of deep space while respecting the vision of its source.

Hunt: Showdown will keep you on the edge of your seat while you are taking down vile monsters and nasty players. Hunt is a well-themed competitive game that conveys various emotions while you play but offers little content. It is very likely that you will become addicted to bounty hunting, but it gets boring after a while.

Horizon Chase Turbo: Senna Forever is a love letter for Ayrton Senna fans and one of the best tributes ever made to the medium. Aquiris took advantage of what he has on hand to turn the Brazilian driver's career into an experience for the small and colorful world of Horizon Chase with good results. In the end, Senna's legacy lives on through those who remember her exploits and now she does so through good indie.

This new game addresses the main issues from the original 2020 release and introduces a lot of additional content, such as new mechanics and characters. Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is the definitive version. Although it might not be a must-buy for players who played the previous title, it's an accessible and deep fighting game that will appeal to both newcomers and experts.

Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 with solid ports that honor the origins of Kazuma Kiryu. Kiwami shines with upgraded performance at 60 FPS and welcome quality-of-life improvements, while Kiwami 2 delivers a faithful but less polished experience due to frame pacing issues. Strong stories, engaging combat, and Latin American Spanish localization make these versions a great entry point for Nintendo players; though veterans may only find value in the portability.

We were pleasantly surprised by Borderlands 4. It's a game that managed to hook us for weeks during the process of writing this review, and we know we'll continue to clean up loose ends and experiment with the rest of the characters. However, the technical issues raise some alarm bells that we hope are just that. For better or worse, the reality is that it's more Borderlands. We don't mean that as a necessarily negative thing; after all, its value as the game that popularized looter shooters is impossible to deny. What we mean is that if you're the type who didn't enjoy the loop of the previous games, we don't expect this title to change your mind.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is a must-have for fighting game fans and for new players curious to experience these retro games for the first time. Its biggest flaw is that it feels too similar to previous collections and does little to elevate this kind of release to the next level. And although the lack of extra modes, cross-play, and other features prevents it from being the definitive collection, its historical importance and value are undeniable. A trip to the past well worth taking.

Skylanders SuperChargers is a lot of fun. It’s a simple yet magnificent looking game that displays effort in its production, despite its annual release cycle. The only complaints gravitate around the unimaginative use of the portal of power, some uncomfortable camera angles and the unavoidable feeling of playing an incomplete product unless you invest in further items.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team continues the innovation of the cherished RPG franchise, even though this isn't its best exponent. The game's formula has been refined, but some of its aspects could have been better exploited. The script is solid but it doesn't compare to the hilarious material that we've found on previous installments. Nevertheless, the game joins the long list of must have titles for the Nintendo 3DS.

Helldivers has everything we expected in an Arrowhead game: it's fun, it's challenging and highly rewarding. It is best played with friends as you can annoy them for the sake of fun. The social component of the global war effort is well implemented and motivates players to engage in it. Highly recommended.

Despite some undeniable improvements in terms of art direction and the underlying soul of the concept, Watch_Dogs 2 is still a sloppy product. With the persistence of AI oddities, dull graphics and physics, stereotypical plot and character design, conspicuous asset recycling, serious online problems and so on, Watch_Dogs 2's lack of polish stops it from achieving excellence once again.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice shows everyone once again why the graphic novel genre is underrated. The narrative's quality and the twists and turns during the court sessions are immersive and put genuine pressure on the 3DS users. The new mechanics and defeating prosecutors while demonstrating why justice prevails are some of the arguments that still put Phoenix Wright among the best Capcom franchises in existence.

Polyphony Digital had three years to truly work on this game and they delivered the same experience as Gran Turismo 5 just with some minor tweaks. Gran Turismo 6 feels more like an expansion rather than a brand new game. It's very disappointing for true racing fans.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is the Budokai Tenkaichi 4 we've dreamed of for over 10 years. With revamped controls, stunning graphics and a combat system that's both accessible and fun, it revitalizes the classic formula and brings it to modern times with new mechanics and game modes. Despite some minor issues, it’s a love letter to Akira Toriyama's work and the legacy of one of the most important animes in history.

Sifu is a great beat em‘ up game that discourages mashing buttons. The combat system stands out as a mix between the Batman: Arkham series and Sekiro, with a heavy emphasis on precision. It is a demanding game that penalizes mistakes and rewards skill.
