Kevin Spacey is Jonathan Irons -- one of the most notorious men in the world -- shaping this chilling vision of the future of war. The game unfolds in a plausible future in which technological, telesis and today's military practices have converged with real world consequences. In this image of the future, Private Military Corporations have become the dominant armed forces for many countries who must outsource their military needs, redrawing borders and rewriting international law. Irons, the founder and president of the world's largest PMC, Atlas Corporation, is at the vortex of these tectonic plates.

Suit up for combat in exoskeletons that advance every facet of a soldier's battle readiness, enabling combatants to deploy with an advanced lethality and eliminating the need for specialization. Players tout enhanced player movement and verticality through boost jumps and grappling, covert cloaking abilities, and biomechanics that provide keen strength, awareness, endurance, and speed. With the advent of the exoskeleton and newly advanced armor and weaponry, every soldier commands tactical freedom in any terrain unlike ever before.

Advanced Warfare is already legendary. Boosting is awesome, mind-blowing and fits the game like a latex glove. I pity Treyarch, who'll have to pull out all stops to surpass this one.

Boasting the tightest multiplayer of the series and one of the strongest campaigns, Advanced Warfare proves that Call of Duty is here to stay — and it’s welcome.

Multiplayer feels wonderfully fresh, thanks to the added agility of Exo Suit boosting. Sadly, though, co-op is unimaginative, and the story fails to satisfy when compared to previous installments.

Advanced Warfare is still Call of Duty, but it's more playful, knowing and refreshing than COD's been in years. [Christmas 2014, p.112]

Satisfying fans is one thing, but this one subverted my skepticism and brought me back.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare upholds the status quo and aims no higher than that. Its sci-fi trappings are but shallow appeals to progress, and while the multiplayer is still able to provide some entertainment, the CoD formula feels anything but "advanced" these days.

I will surely say that this game delivered the most enjoyable and memorable campaign to date . Where as I enjoyed every campaign so far , this is the one than shines most . Sledgehammer games were very innovative with the Exo Skeletons and all the futuristic equipment and weaponry . I still play this game a lot Expand

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a game that lives up to the Legendary name of the Call of Duty franchise. Although many things in AdvancedCall of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a game that lives up to the Legendary name of the Call of Duty franchise. Although many things in Advanced Warfare are different from previous Call of Duties, I can assure you that Advanced Warfare is the next step in FPS gaming. From super fast paced versatile gameplay to having INSANE customization options that have never been seen before in any FPS game, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare left a unerasable mark on the next gen consoles. With a new super-technological storyline that fits in the future, to a recreation of the world's best side game: CoD Zombies, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the game that reassures good hopes to the fans of Call Of Duty.
Of course there is a lot of controversy that the game brings up in terms of differences with the rest of the franchise, but this is just a way of saying to the fans that Call of Duty is NOT the same game every year, and can step up its game and produce efficiently.

I lost interest in the COD series a long time ago. As a matter of fact, Ghosts was the first COD I've never purchased. With this however, II lost interest in the COD series a long time ago. As a matter of fact, Ghosts was the first COD I've never purchased. With this however, I was trying a hail-mary sort of pass to bring me back into the franchise I once held ever so dearly. Firstly, the graphics and sound quality are top notch and a true feat of next-generation gaming. The storyline was solid enough and even the multiplayer was adjusted enough to make it different yet familiar. All this aside, after three days of playing I found myself getting sidetracked with different games. It's lost it's edge, it's touch, it's grapple on me for wanting to go back. The game itself is nothing short of fine craftsmanship; it's just not enough of a lure to drag me away from other games. The campaign, whilst brilliant is somewhat forgettable and per-COD-renown way too short. The inclusion of Kevin Spacey is brilliant and his role is well fulfilled. There just simply isn't enough of a drawcard to make it stand out like it once did. 7/10 Expand

Multiplayer was OK, as it felt like Ghosts where 2 bullets can kill you.

The game itself kinda feels like Titanfall at times because of the similarities. You know, exo suits, jetpacks, etc.

I would give it a better rating if the multiplayer and originality were a bit better. Overall though, this game was OK.

This is the worst call of duty game that I can remember playing. The game feels like your playing a 1990s stand up arcade game. The graphics are bad, this is supposed to be for the xbox one - they are laughably bad. The maps are small and the spawns are annoying; within playing for 10 seconds I moved to the next room and was shot in the back, how enjoyable. The guns feel like your shooting a spring loaded pellet gun. I thought I would give it a shot to see if they could manage to get their sh*t together and produce another friends game magnet - but no this is the worst experience yet, a steady downfall to serious childish garbage. And for no other reason but to compare a shooter to a shooter Battlefield 4 is the next gen game not this degenerative piece of software. Expand

Really a terrible game. By far the worst of the series, if you wanna know why, just go watch the trailer.
