What the authors lacked to be above average was the courage to stand up with full force for something unexpected. They could have taken inspiration from their colleagues from the French branch of Arkane, who came up with Deathloop. Redfall is an unpleasant reminder that talents and creativity run out with time. One could say the game concept is as vulnerable as your character. The straightforward gameplay can be refreshing under the right circumstances. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the technical execution, which sets the game back a good twenty years. Outdated graphics, technical bugs, and poor character movement all drag the game down below the level of a quality product. [Issue#320]- LEVEL (Czech Republic)

Destruction is still cool, and in the end I have to give the creators credit for the fact that the much marketing-washed akedo has its moments. Everything else that made a good Battlefield is completely missing, and that chase for record-breaking size or player count is really a poor substitute for well-designed maps, rich content in the form of game modes, and certainly no substitute for the original class system that the gameplay has always relied on in the first place. 12 minutes is a point’n’click thriller playing with a time loop theme with a great premise and introductory setting, but with a lack of interactivity and an unfortunate story. After the enthusiasm from the beginning of the game, when you will enjoy the offered possibilities of the game sandbox, frustration and disappointment will come. Even dabing with brilliant actors is not helping the game. It seems to be recorded in a hurry and without the possibility for the actors to get used to the character.- LEVEL (Czech Republic)
